    Regular beef platter

Walked in for pickup order, no one in establishment except for two workers. First time at this location. Order said ready for pickup but could see the worker just started working on order. There was no greeting or acknowledgement whatsoever and male worker was working at snail pace filling my online order, while I waited. Female worker asked co-worker if he needed assistance but he declined. Appeared as though he didn't want to be there. The regular plates ordered were barely filled compared to other locations, the pita bread was not heated up just tossed into platter. Beef was dry as though it had been sitting out for a while. Mostly lettuce in platter. Very disappointed with both food and service . Have been to other locations with much better service as well as food quality and quantity. Sadly, will definitely not be back.

I came by on a Monday evening and saw the chairs upside down on all of the tables in the indoor dining area (except where customers were eating), the interior of the place looking like most restaurants do 5 minutes before closing time. But I was there more than 2 hours before closing time, so it was a surprise to see this and it made the place feel a little less inviting. I ordered a small beef gyro platter for takeout. It took just a couple minutes to prepare from the food station, and service was standard, with the staff providing extra white sauce packets on the side per request. The meat didn't taste as fresh as I usually get from other locations, but it was still tasty along with the other ingredients which seemed to be of good quality. It made for a satisfying meal, consistent in flavor to what I always get at HG. It also only came with two itty bitty pieces of pita bread, a fraction of what I typically get at other locations, but I don't mind less carbs.

I ordered for takeout on GrubHub. When I got back home, the food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the regular platter and chose the beef/chicken combo. The platter comes with rice, lettuce, tomatoes, and some pita bread. For an extra charge, I added some other toppings which were jalapeños, green pepper, and onions. Those were a must. It also comes with their packet of white sauce and hot sauce. The service was fast since my food was already ready when I got there. The staff were also friendly. Inside, the restaurant felt clean. It's fairly small, but I did see a few tables inside for anyone who wants to dine in. Overall, I enjoyed the food and will order from here again.

Decent sandwich place, but also doesn't really stand out. It's good if you're in a hurry and want to bring food back to the office.

Double Combo Plate - Turmeric Rice - Chicken Shawarma and Gyro Beef - The Works (Everything included) - Tzatziki sauce - Falafel (Side) - Waffle Fries (Side) Okay, the presentation of the combo plate wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing, but I looked past it. Unfortunately, the chicken and beef were lacking in flavor and were pretty dry. The portions were generous, though the gyro beef was sliced pretty thin. The veggies were actually fresh, which was a plus. The hummus was on the lighter side flavor-wise, while the Baha Ghanouj had a solid roasted aftertaste. The Achilles spread was... interesting. It was very fatty with a garlic aftertaste. It just wasn't my thang. The waffle fries were cool. They were fried well and had a good crunch, but nothing special. The falafel, though, was pretty disappointing. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch. They were very crunchy, but had a weird dish-soap aftertaste that I couldn't get past. I couldn't finish the rest. Sorry, but I'll be on the lookout for another Mediterranean spot.

Hella yummy Palestinian food in the Bay!…read more I've heard of Holyland but finally had the chance to dine there for a weekend lunch. These days it's always at the front of my mind that food spots that call themselves "Middle Eastern" or "Mediterranean" truly divulge who is the owner and chefs are. I'm talking about only eating from restaurants that can name the country their food comes from be it Falasteen, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the list goes on. Holyland is located in the industrial part of Santa Clara, and they boast lots of interior seating (great for large parties and group meals) and also run a catering service. So there's loads of parking and plenty of space. My friend and I were hungry, so I got the lamb kofta and he had the beef plates. We were SO happy. It comes with a light tangy salad, delicious hummus with a kick of spice, a bed of delicious yellow rice and slender pita bread. They also have serve-yourself hot cardamom tea which is so delicious and perfect. They also serve a bunch of other refrigerated drinks like Salaam Cola and kefir. The mezze plate with x4 different dips looks so yummy, I would get that next time with a large group to share. Will definitely head back with a larger group. We saw other diners from couples, to solo to large families eating. The interior could use some sprucing up, but the quality of the food, staff, and authenticity of the place is #1. Delicious. Freedom for the Holyland Five and liberation for all of Palestine!

Uyghur Home Now…read more Tarim Garden sits in a nondescript strip mall situated along the Foodie Highway and serves up one of the hardest cuisines to find: Chinese Uyghur (pronounced wee-goo'r). Because of its location in NW China, Uyghur cuisine is a natural fusion of Chinese, multiple "Stans" (e.g., Pakistan, Kazakhstan, etc.), and is predominantly Muslim in population. The food is 100% authentic, as the proprietor, Lei Han, is a third-generation chef from the Ili region. Their food has already captured the attention of Bay Area food critics and was featured by SF Eater and recently included in the local PBS Station's 2026 "What to Eat in the Bay Area"** list for the South Bay. The Good: * All meats are 100% Halal (حلال) * Large shared parking lot * Order via QR code * Friendly service * Very reasonable prices and giant portions. Even we had leftovers! :8) * Pan-fried Lamb and Onion Dumplings were a bit underseasoned for my liking, but the flavor and texture were delicious. * Stir-Fried Noodles was another winner, with delicious noodles and tender chicken. Please note that the menu doesn't reflect that it comes with meat, but it does. We didn't really care either way, but some people might. * The Laghman (a type of hand-pulled noodle) is the thing to get here, as the flavor and texture of them were phenomenal. You could lock me in a room with a bucket of them, and I'd be happy as a clam. The Meh: * No alcohol * You can order through the app but have to pay the old-fashioned way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Ugly: * Despite critical acclaim and being open for several years, it's a bit staggering how low the review count (67?!) is here on Yelp. Conclusion: Delicious food, great service, and fair pricing. What are you waiting for?? **https://www.kqed.org/forum/2010101912573/what-to-eat-in-the-bay-area-in-2026

The menu also didn't indicate the level of spiciness, which was a little confusing. The pan-fried lamb dumplings were the only dish we really liked. The lamb filling was tender and flavorful. Meyhouse Sunnyvale -- Excellent Food, but the Service Pacing Could Be Much Better…read more I tried the $44.95 three-course prix fixe lunch and chose the Köpoğlu as my meze, upgraded the main to the Adana Kebab for $3, and added the Künefe for $2. The food was the strongest part of the experience, and several things stood out more than I expected. The complimentary bread was excellent--warm, fragrant, and nicely textured. I also really enjoyed the green herb sauce served with it. The parsley and mint flavors were quite pronounced, almost grassy, but in a good way. It was fresh and aromatic and worked very well with the bread. The Köpoğlu was one of the highlights of the meal. The roasted eggplant, tomato sauce, garlic yogurt, and olive oil were very well balanced. I especially liked the garlic yogurt--the acidity, garlic, and creaminess were all present without any one element overpowering the others. The tomato added sweetness and acidity, while the olive oil rounded everything out. It was especially good with the bread. The Adana Kebab was also very good. My first bite came from the end of the skewer and was slightly dry, but once I got into the center, the meat was noticeably juicier. The char from the grill was excellent, and the lamb had a clear lamb flavor without being gamey. The chopped red pepper mixed into the meat also added another layer of aroma and flavor. Even the rice surprised me. It looked like plain white rice, but it was flavorful enough to eat on its own, with a noticeable buttery, almost milky aroma. The flatbread underneath the kebab was also very good after soaking up some of the lamb juices and fat. If I had one criticism of the main plate itself, it would be the proportion of onion-tomato salad to meat. The salad tasted fine, but for my preference, there was a little too much of it. I really enjoy the lingering flavor of grilled lamb, and while the rice and bread help carry that flavor, the raw onion and tomato act as a strong palate cleanser and erase it quickly. Since the meat portion was relatively small compared with the rice and salad, I would personally prefer a little more kebab and a little less salad. The Künefe was another highlight. I really enjoyed the contrast between the crispy kadayıf on the outside and the soft, warm cheese inside. The pistachios on top were not something I particularly enjoyed by themselves, but mixed together with the cheese, syrup, and crispy pastry, they made much more sense. The first few bites, especially the areas that had not absorbed too much syrup, were excellent. Toward the center it became a little sweeter than I prefer, but overall I still liked it very much. Food-wise, I would actually give Meyhouse a slight edge over Dishdash. There were more layers and more small details to notice throughout the meal, from the bread and herb sauce to the Köpoğlu, Adana, rice, flatbread, and dessert. The service, however, did not match the level of the food. The restaurant was quite quiet at lunch, but the pacing was surprisingly rushed. I had barely started eating the Köpoğlu when the main course arrived. For a menu specifically presented as a three-course prix fixe, I expected the courses to be paced more deliberately. Instead, I had to choose between continuing to enjoy the appetizer and eating the kebab while it was still hot. There was also an issue with clearing the table. One staff member who was not the person taking my order repeatedly tried to remove my bread and the green herb sauce. The first time, I specifically asked him to leave the sauce. Later, after I finished the main course, he came back and again started clearing both without asking. I told him I wanted the bread to go, so he left the bread, but still removed the herb sauce. It was a small detail, but it made the service feel mechanical rather than attentive to what the guest had already requested. Overall, I would rate the food around 8.5/10 and the service around 6.5-7/10. Meyhouse is a little more expensive than Dishdash, but the prix fixe lunch is also very substantial. I only ate about half of the complimentary bread, and I was already quite full after the main course. Finishing the Künefe left me completely stuffed, so the portion size is definitely generous. I would still come back. Next time, I would probably try the Ahtapot, especially since it is only a $9 upgrade on the prix fixe compared with $25 à la carte. The food gives me a reason to return; I just hope the pacing and attention to small service details are better next time.

They have interesting dishes with paneer and chicken as well. We ordered two dishes- Leela lasun keema - This dish was intriguing, with cheese, grated egg, and a rich, spicy gravy. The portion size was generous; a single person won't be able to finish it with just three breads. It was very filling, we took back home the leftover and enjoyed it later with some rotis. They have another version of this- "kachu" with runny eggs instead of grated eggs.. well thought option! Volcano egg biryani- The dish is as interesting as its name suggests. The base is an omelette, and the rice is flavorful with bell peppers, finely chopped veggies, and aromatic spices. The center is with a tomato-based curry. The cheese on the side was amazing, and I loved it. The spicy guava drink is super refreshing with a playful mix of spice, salt, sourness, and the sweetness of guava. I really enjoyed it! They have music playing and the place is lit, creating a total vibe for spending time in the evening on a lazy weekend/ after work, or post-workout. Other than that, I would definitely come back again to support a small business like this!

But this is not on the place, they are actually really fresh, it's because that other person requested very basic salads and I got me the same. I'm sure other salads are great. Now on to the wrap. I didn't see any reviews or photos on the wrap, let's change that. I got 2 wraps: 1 Blazing Bird and 1 Date Delight (for someone else). He did not like his for some reason, but I cant' say much because I didn't try it. I got the blazing bird and it is honestly one of the best wraps I've had. It is good, crunchy and their sauce that comes with it is yummy too. I first saw it and thought, WOW, this is big, but I ate it all. The only thing I would say is it could use a little more chicken. This is probably why I was able to finish it, it did lack some chicken. I also got the bone broth and that is also very delicious. Overall the wrap is a 4. It would be 5 if it had more chicken. I will still get the wrap and bone broth again.
