Read this if you like lamb! A variety of lamb dishes, which is their specialty. My favorite is their Cumin Lamb with Naan, smells great even from a few feet away. The bite size naan is crunchy but can be too greasy for some people cos it soaks up some of that lamb or chili oil from the meat. The next one is Spicy Lamb Ribs, lamb ribs with enough fat is always yummy, and the spices dried chili onions all make it savory and flavorful. tl;dr Super delicious and large portions, sharable noodles and other dishes galore. Parties over 4 will be waiting a very long time since there's only 1 large table. I love Tarim Garden! I haven't had Xinjiang/Uyghur cuisine before eating here, but it's delicious! While the noodles are often in oil-based flavorings, they are never too heavy as the herbs and spices balance the light oil. Everything has lots of flavor, though if you can't eat lots of oil, some dishes may not be for you. The hand-pulled noodles are very long, so if you are sharing a dish, you may be pulling them out for a while or end up grabbing the same noodle as someone else. The restaurant is on the smaller side and with only 1 larger table seating 5-7 realistically, so tables of 2-4 will be seated quicker. A friend recommended this place, and it completely lived up to the hype! We arrived right when this place opened on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant quickly filled up. My boyfriend ordered the big plate chicken and I got the beef laghman. Let me just say, we thoroughly enjoyed our food! Came here with friends on a Saturday night. It was pretty packed when we got here, with lots of people coming in to eat. We waited about 30 minutes for a table for 5 to open up. I'd expect to wait if you come here with a big party. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side. When we sat down, the waitress gave us a kettle of tea. We ordered everything from our phones. We settled on the big beef plate, lamb skewers, stir fried noodles, beef rice noodles, lamb dumplings, and cold black fungus mushrooms. They are definitely a little pricey but very worth it. The big beef plate had tender meat, soft hand pulled noodles, potato, and bell pepper. The broth was very flavorful, but we weren't given bowls so we couldn't drink it properly. The lamb dumplings were chewy and not too gamey. I don't see a lot of lamb dumplings, so I enjoyed this. The next best dish was the stir fried noodles. They had good Szechuan flavor and chewy noodles. The beef rice noodles were really saucy and herbal. I still liked them, but they weren't my favorite. We ordered the pan fried dumplings and the beef stir fried noodles. We found hair in the beef stir fried noodles which was very disgusting. Poor customer service and dirty. I would never go again. They didn't make another dish, because it didn't take that long. I think they removed the hair, warmed it up and brought it. They didn't even offer to give a discount. The Noodles arrived scorching Hot straight from the Wok, I really like how the Sauce is bright Red, it was cooked Al dente, I like how the strands were thick and reminded me of Udon, it was packed with flavor, and had some Heat to it, kinda Spicy. I got the beef noodle which was thick noodles and the spices they added were strong but i was sharing with my friend, so I couldn't make it too spicy. The meat was tender and the sauce was addictive. After hearing so much about this place from multiple colleagues (including one from Xinjiang), we finally came here for lunch on Sunday. We ordered three dishes. The black wood ear mushrooms were mildly spicy due to the pickled peppers. Both this and the garlic cucumber had sweet and sour flavoring from the vinegar that makes them taste extra refreshing. This place is really hard to find it's a very small section creviced between two other restaurants. I've always seen videos about Uyghur food and wanted try and behold I found out about this place as I drove past my local Smart and Final. I know they use alot of lamb and cumin which I really love, so this place hits for me. The pan fried lamb dumplings were okay. The meat was juicy which was food but I did feel that there was a little lack of salt. If it had a little more salt it would have been good. It was better with the vinegar and chili oil. Then I had the lamb chow mein. The overall dish was pretty good. I really like the thick flat noodles and it had the el dente texture which was good. The chili sauce was the right amount of spice.
