Jaime is a consummate professional who not only brings his years of experience and does a wonderful job, but has great manners, as well. The reviews below that give him poor ratings complain of cancellations and lack of communication. I take that as part of the nature of the business because Jaime and I were coordinating for a little bit before settling on a time that worked for both of us. He does his best to try and estimate how long a job will take but as everyone knows, it's impossible to know for sure. POOR COMMUNICATION, OVERPROMISE, AND UNDERDELIVER. I requested service based on a respected review on yelp. He confirmed with me the time to meet at 10am. Because I heard nothing from him, I called him 30min prior and he apologized profusely that there was a miscommunication and he couldn't come at the time. So we rescheduled to 1pm. Curiously, he never asked for my address. So I called again around 12pm to give him the address. The guy that showed up was someone that he works with. Long story short, he spent 3hrs and completely got no where. I asked specifically to fix a shower door that is loose and kitchen drawers that need new slide drawers. For the shower door, he said he just needs to get the part and he could get it. And he asked me where's a hardware store (aren't you the handyman?). I told him I only know Lowe's. He goes there for 2hrs and said he couldn't find it. So I ended up ordering it on Amazon. To his credit, he replaced a missing screw on the shower door handle. For the kitchen drawers, he took my drawer sliders and says "I know a place that sells them". But it was getting late and he says he'll come by another day. The next day I received a text from him saying he couldn't find the part so he's going to mail me back the drawer sliders. He never did. I ended up finding the part myself and doing it myself (and I'm not that handy!) Having not done anything and completely wasting my time and his time, and not returning my kitchen drawer slider, the original owner, who I never met, still wanted $200 for the "job". I voiced my dismay and he got defensive saying "we don't sell parts" and implying that I was suppose to have the parts ready. He may have a point, but why did he offer to get the parts tor me. And I said I would pay for his time getting those parts. To this day, I am still frustrated and appalled by the entire experience. read more

Unprofessional, poor work ethic. I called him to fix a coupe of windows and take a look at a noisy siding door (leaks some outside noise in). First it was difficult to schedule: super long response time, and he ended up rescheduling at the last minute and being late eventually. He did fix the windows, and we moved to the siding door. He did some work on the sliding door and left. But I later realized, that he actually made things worse (the door started leaking more noise than before). I tried to contact him a coupe times to come over again and finish the work. I even offered him to pay extra for it (which I frankly I didn't have to do), but he never responded. So he broke my sliding door and disappeared. I would not recommend this person to anyone. read more

For workmanship, Jaime is legit and his rates are fair. He repaired a section of drywall at my condo and it looks good. He worked efficiently and I appreciate that he did not use his phone while working. He also cleaned the area well after job finished. Jaime and I got off to a bumpy start. I used the calendar booking option on his website and prepaid. After that I tried calling twice and left voicemails + messaged on Yelp to confirm time. It took a couple days to sort that out and Jaime was not able to make it to the booked slot. He did rearrange his schedule to get the job done on a Saturday. I was going to give him 3 stars and then he was an hour late to our rescheduled time which dropped his rating another star. He didn't tell me he would be an hour late until he was already 15 min late. I shared this feedback in person with him, he was professional and respectful while listening. My suggestions to others: 1) Use Yelp or Wix to message with Jaime and have date + time confirmed up front. This will avoid almost all of the frustration I had. 2) Do not use the calendar booking option on his website. Jaime should remove this from his website or change it so it works correctly. If an appointment is 3 hours, why do I have options to book 30 min increments? 3) Do not prepay up front. Messaged this person on yelp and made a schedule to install a storm door on an agreed quote. The day came for the scheduled install and I made sure to be home to meet with this installer. 15 minutes went over the time scheduled, no call. 30 minutes, no call. 45 minutes later, I try giving him a call, no reply. I messaged him on yelp, no reply. He then replies the next day replying that he had phone issues. I wont be recommending this service for anyone. read more

Update : 12/27 Just to respond to your comments which is totally untrue: I informed you on Tue 7 am ( I have written records in text messages) that we won't be able to do Thurs . How is that last minute? whereas you notified me at 11 am on Sat (1 hour post) that you cannot do 10 am appointment on Sat. Then you said you will come in the eve and then said at 6 pm that you cannot this wasting my entire Sat . Then you said that you can come sharp at 8am in Sun but when I messaged you at 8:30 am you mentioned that you will be here in 40min ( 9:10) when I had mentioned you earlier that I had a hard stop at 10. I believe you need to be more professional if you have to be in this business and commit your your appointment, have better time management and not waste people's time rather than making excuses. In terms of the refund your gave me net of the fee which is a small amount but wrong in principle. Original Review: Totally unprofessional and wasted lot of my time. He agreed to come and install blinds in my apartment on sat at 10am and called at 11am and after multiple reminders and messages and said that he has some other thing or one of his team member quit. He then said that he could come in the evening but then again informed that he cannot. Then he said he will come Sun at 8 am. I cancelled my appointment and explicitly told him that I have a hard stop at 10am so come on time. He promised to come at 8 and when I followed up at 8:30 he sent an eta of 9:15. I hired him to do patching on our drywall (thanks to my puppy) and even though he ran a little late arriving to the house, he hustled to get the work done without sacrificing quality. Our landlords hired Jaime to fix the broken doorbell and buzzer system for our building. It's a legacy system, leftover from a remodel done by the last landlords ten years ago, and it's been giving trouble for ages. I was pretty certain he wasn't going to be able to fix it, but he did! I mean it gave him a lot of trouble, because after he'd fixed one thing, another thing went wrong, but he stayed at it and didn't throw up his hands and just say "Get a new one" (which a lot of contractors will do).
