Their website is wrong! I got there at 11am and was greeted by TAD ( very nice server/bartender). I am obsessed with their Surf and Turf basket! The fried shrimp are Huge and they don't skimp on the meat! Plus there are fries underneath all the food! The chef always does a great job! The way he seasons the meat is perfect! Of course most of this was to go(for dinner) but I had to munch down one shrimp and alittle bit of the steak. It's a fun atmosphere with lively music playing. They have a full bar as well as some nice beer on tap. My puppy loves this place because they have outside covered seating as well! read more

Had a great time there last night. Fish and chips are incredible. Karaoke was entertaining. Bartender was attentive and apologized if you ever had an empty glass. Owner, Polly was there and interacted with all the customers. If I'm back in Yuba I'll be back. read more

Delicious meal! As soon as we entered, we were welcomed in by the owner himself. We sat down at a cozy table and ordered our drinks and food. The lamb shepherds pie was delicious! Definitely comfort food to be sure. I will have to come back and try the fish and chips next time. read more

Terrible terrible terrible. We even sat outside to get some space and the people outside in the sitting / eating area was smoking pot and cigarettes right next to the tables. People took over tables that weren't there's. you could tell one of the owners and the cooks were apart of that shit show too. Would be so nice if it was a respectful place that cared about other people's space. read more

I was excited to try Hooligan's this year on St. Patrick's Day because it's an Irish pub and I thought it would be fun to go with my boyfriend, but it wasn't much like we expected. It was really busy and loud, but I didn't mind that too much because it's probably a very hectic day of the year for them. What I didn't like so much was the service. When we walked in, nobody greeted us, they just looked at us and we stood there waiting for 2-3 minutes, then assumed we must be in the wrong area to get seated. We then went through the back door, but that was obviously wrong as well, so we went back to the front and after another couple minutes of us looking around, finally a woman told us to sit anywhere and we would be helped soon. We sat down at a table and 30 seconds later she came over and said "What do you want" and we were confused because we had no menus and no time to decide what we wanted. She went to get us menus and gave us another 30 seconds to decide what we wanted, then passed us off to another waitress because she couldn't answer our questions herself. The next waitress was fine, she helped us and the service was quick. We asked if we could substitute fries for mozzarella moons with the fish & shrimp basket, and substitute fries for onion rings with the burger. She said yes but it will be +$4 for mozzarella moons and +$2 for onions rings. We only got 3 mozzarella moons with the fish & shrimp basket so I would say it's not worth it to substitute those for over $1 each. Now for the food, it looked amazing, I'll give them that! However, it didn't taste great. The fish and shrimp were so bland, they needed a lot of salt and the texture wasn't for me. I love fish & chips and have had it many times, and sadly, this time was the worst fish & chips I've ever tried. The burger was great, though! Kind of crazy to me that it costs $1 to add a slice of cheese, though. Now for the sides, the onion rings tasted almost burnt, definitely over cooked. Not great at all. The mozzarella moons were fine, they were pretty standard and had a nice cheese pull at least. I like that they gave us ranch, ketchup, tartar sauce, & cocktail sauce without charging us extra, so that's a plus. Overall, I left this restaurant feeling disappointed because my boyfriend and I don't go out to eat very often (usually once every month) and I wanted a great experience but it wasn't what we expected. It wasn't the worst experience I've ever had, but definitely not the best, and I don't like leaving negative reviews, but hopefully this can give some insight to someone on my experience here. read more

7/25/24 out and about with some colleagues in a celebratory farewell as our leader accepts a promotion to a newer and better position. A trip to Hooligans was our way of initiating a proper send off and saying thank you for everything you have done. I did not take many pictures, but i will say that other photos by the yelp family are spot on... I ordered every appetizer on the menu and personally tried their farmhouse hamburger. Their portion size is huge with french fries overflowing off the plate :) The burger itself was delicious and service was spot on. Collectively, we all enjoyed the fried pickles and the mozzarella moons; the chicken wings were fantastic and the tacos were delicious. My colleague allowed me to try some of her fried jumbo shrimp and it was meaty, tender and scrumptious. I would not hesitate to come back and neither should you. Outstanding overall. I'm checking out the brand new Irish bar and restaurant in Yuba City that's been open about a week. They have a bar area, small seating, and then a larger room with a stage where they plan on hosting open mic nights and other events like comedy shows. I got the fish and chips, which were cooked to perfection. The batter to fish ratio was money, and they came out hot and crispy. The fries were standard Cisco fries but well cooked also hot and crispy - no soggy fries here. The only thing disappointing on the plate was the coleslaw - missing salt and acid. We made our own spicy ketchup and kicked the fries up a notch. The surprise was the street tacos with corned beef. Ok, so I hate corned beef, but I always try it. Let me say I would come back and order the tacos. They were cooked well done, almost carnita style, and they are not seasoned with the heavy "St. Patrick's day" flavors. We'll done chef - you gave me hope. The staff were so friendly and inviting - definitely a place I would love to come back and watch a show. I can't wait to come back and try the all meat pizza, which is available after 4. Come in and check them out and support local eats and drinks. Had it not been 2:30pm, I would have ordered a drink or two they have a fun menu. I would have grabbed a pick of the menu, but they are updating it, so you'll just have to come in and check them out. read more

I am so enamored with this place! The owner is a joy to be around, and he has hired a great team that knows how to treat guests. And the FOOD! OMG. I crave it. We've tried the farmhouse burger, corned beef Reuben, fries, beef soup (owner's mom's recipe), chicken tacos, shepherd's pie (home run!), and my favorites...the fish tacos. Pro tip: get the battered tortillas. I have not gotten to enjoy the night time entertainment yet, but the atmosphere is lovely. The bartender blankly looked in our direction but neither took our order or said anything like "someone will be right with you." Went in after church to try out this new establishment. Was told to sit wherever I like and the server would be with me shortly. Unfortunately, a server didn't show up, so I left. Beautiful building. Extensive alcohol selection but the interior decor is not comfortable nor conducive to privacy. Very much a bar. The grill part is sadly lacking. Menu is lackluster.
