Manhattan and Long Island. No complaints!

Can't believe we haven't been here sooner being 40+ year locals. Have now been here twice in less than a week and we'll be back often. Loretta will make you earn your keep but she's a doll and her drinks are awesome! You can't help but love her and her Manhattan's kick ass! Our new favorite spot.

The jukebox is cheap, and since the place is so small, you will hear your songs soon, if not immediately.

The space is awesome. Two bars, one on each side, and a massive back patio that really opens things up. The left side (Bar 2) is where the karaoke happens, and that's when the place really comes alive. It pulls in a great crowd and turns the whole night into an experience. Overall vibe is cozy, relaxed, and very down to earth. Food is solid, but the veggie burger with onion rings is the star. Easily the thing we keep coming back for. Drink selection is moderate, but the bartenders are flexible and will pretty much make whatever you're in the mood for. Prices are reasonable, which makes it even easier to hang out for a while. The back patio is a big win, especially for groups. Great spot to step out, get some air, and still keep the energy going. The bartenders are genuinely friendly and make the place feel welcoming. You'll meet all kinds of people here, but everyone shares the same easygoing, friendly vibe. Overall, a fun, reliable spot when you want a laid-back night with a little personality.

What's even more shocking was that I was driving by a place that in my eyes deserves some special attention! So espresso martinis are a thing and this place came highly recommended for them so my sugar sugar and I said, why not?? We made reservations and left a bit early because based off Google Maps the restaurant is on the corner of Manchester and Lincoln but based off my memory, I never saw a restaurant with that name! So to clear the air, it's there y'all, you just have to slow down and look. When you walk in the restaurant is dimmed and it totally sets the mood and my mood was steak!! Our waiter was super cool and we appreciate his hospitality. He asked if it was our first time. We confirmed and he ensured us that we would enjoy our experience and enjoy we did! First - espresso martinis. It was as if the bartender read our minds...they were made to perfection! Flavorful and you can definitely taste the balance of the espresso and alcohol. I ordered the steak frites and sugar sugar ordered the salmon. We always try each other's food and we couldn't determine which dish was better. The salmon was baked perfectly and the side salad was delicious! The steak had just enough seasoning so that it didn't overpower the quality of the meat. I have never had a perfectly cooked steak in my life! Ruth Chris who? Maestros where? I don't even eat steak on a regular but best believe it will be at the Manchester moving forward. As sugar sugar and I continue on our quest to try as many espresso martinis in LA, best hands down the best steak for me is here! Save me a seat!!

The speakeasy is unique and even serves full menu of great food! Aesthetic & Ambiance: 9.5/10 - it was very prohibition themed and the menus being price/luggage tags was very fun. Came on a saturday night at 6:30 reservation and it was very quiet with us being the only table most of the evening. The outside restaurant has live bands which can be a little loud. Service: 100/10 - Markley was the bartender and the only one who operates the speakeasy, she's not only the best bartender Ive had custom drinks from, but she also makes each individual product herself. She explained every part of the drinks and ingredients, and even offered to make any kind of drink we'd want if there was nothing on her menu. Drinks: 10/10 - if you like cocktail bars this is it...EVERY drink was a unique in flavor and handcrafted by Markley from steep to serve. house-infused liquors and tinctures- ONE OF A KIND BAR Food: 8.5/10 - all around great some dishes better than others Bread & Butter - 9/10 great toasted sourdough with a garlic butter and the butter was perfect salty-addition. Calamari - 7/10 a little too breaded for my liking with the rings and tentacles being a little dry. Deviled eggs: 7.5/10 interesting they were fried, but had great flavor all over Mongolian Beef: 8/10 very good flavor, and rice was tasty, but the sauce was a little salty. Cajun chicken pasta: 9.5/10 chicken was tender, pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was delicious, and the sausage was a great addition. I'd easily drive an hour from LA again to come here!

Belle's is located right on Venice Beach, which made al fresco dining very nice. We had a private bar as well as an array of appetizers. The servers and bartenders were very nice and accommodating. A group of us had the Marine Layer cocktail upon their recommendation. This cocktail was summery and tropical with heavy Japanese influence. The base was tequila. Yuzu and passionfruit provided sweetness and tang while elements such as mitsuba, chili, and lava salt added umami and contrast. Other drinks I enjoyed included their Mai Tai and Watermelon Margarita. I really liked the marg with Mezcal. The lychee spritz was also good. It was the most wine-forward lychee spritz I've ever had, but it was still very nice. The appetizers were delicious. I really liked the crispy rock shrimp, spicy tuna crispy rice, and yakitori skewers. The avocado toast needed a hearty sprinkle of salt and pepper, but other than that, the food was great. I had a wonderful time at Belle's Beach House. I would love to come back to try more cocktails and small bites.
