Soooo good. The breakfast sandwich was amazing! Collard greens perfectly seasoned and the eggs with a nice bright yolk . The bread so fresh... and although by the nature of it... it's a messy sandwich... it really was not.... It was lovingly put together and it was sooo good. The BLT on amazing rye bread

Came here for a work event last August and we were seated outside -- really cute setting and great coastal vibe. Food-wise, overrated. The branzino was a miss for me -- too salty and I didn't love the sour chili flavor in the sauce. The calamari had good flavor but wasn't crispy (more soggy than fried). Charcuterie board was the highlight -- prosciutto, a couple cheeses, cornichons + olives, honeycomb, apricots, candied nuts, and a little jam situation. Sourdough was weirdly hard and not enjoyable. Mocktails were mixed: Golden Slumbers = loved, Please Please Me = did not please me. Dessert was solid -- the chocolate mousse was actually pretty good. Cute spot for a group hang, but the kitchen needs to go easy with the salt.

Came here with a friend to eat everything was great. Our waiter and staff was just amazing. I had a charcuterie board, the lobster risotto, and the Branzino and everything was great. Making a reservations as recommended. It's not big but it definitely gets full. They're outside area is inside outside. It's very nice fireplace. Very great ambience. You can kind of see the beach from where we sat and I'm sure at night. It was beautiful.

This was a great spot to meet a friend for lunch. I had the chicken and Brie sandwich and it was delicious! It was so flavorful and the bread was so fresh! Great ambiance. Super popular and parking can be challenging, but valet is available. Service was nice but a bit slow towards the end of our time there. Would definitely go back!

I was craving Brunch, more specifically pancakes/waffles/french toast, seafood and a full bar. I searched Yelp and found Playa Provisions, and not been here under this restaurant name. I'm glad there were 3 of us so we could order and share. Everything was scrumptious. The Bloody Mary was amazing. It was a little short, but it was delicious and potent. The ceviche and French toast came out first. Both fresh and delicious! We shared the brunch plates 1) crab & shrimp benedict 2) breakfast sandwich 3) chilaquiles. Yum Yum and Yummy!!!

ZACHARIAH, is the person you ask for when you come here. I've been coming here for a few years and this place never fails. The restaurant is so warm where I've felt to bring everyone I know, even more, just bring myself! The drinks are one thing and the food is another, which for me, makes a restaurant! Moreover, of course, the people. From GM Zachariah, to Liam Tully, Omar, Taylor, these are just the very few people that make this place one of my top places to come to monthly if not weekly! Absolutely would recommend! What makes it so perfect is that it's right next to the beach, where there's an outside patio where they have a little fire pit, they have inside, and also a speakeasy (grain bar: whiskey bar, but all drinks!). The vibes are so immaculate, I could go on and on forever. Put this on your list whenever you come to LA!

This restaurant, coffee lounge, bakery, ice cream parlor, and whisky bar created by Top Chef season 14 winner, Brooke Williamson, offered so many food options, moods, and spaces to hang out. We got the French fries, steak sandwich, seafood roll, and clam chowder. Everything was delicious. The clam chowder had good flavor. I wish it was a little bit hotter, temperature wise. The fries were so good. The two sauces that came with the fries were full of umami. The seafood roll was pretty substantial. Their in-house hot sauce was weak. It could use more flavor and heat. I sampled several ice cream and there were all yummy. Service was good. I got a buttermilk biscuit to take home. I heated it up in the air fryer and had it for breakfast 2 days later. It was buttery and still good. If I lived closer, I would definitely stop by for coffee and pastries more often. I was pleasantly surprised with a birthday dessert; panna cotta (Italian dessert of sweetened cream thickened with gelatin and molded) with strawberry. It was delicious. There is street parking and valet parking is $5. Overall, definitely worth checking it out!

Really electric restaurant in Playa Del Rey that sells ice cream and also offers a sit down dining experience after 5pm for dinner. During the day, you just order at the counter, grab any seat/table and they'll bring the food out - the menu is really limited though. For dinner, it's probably best to make reservations and they offer a lot of diverse things from really fresh oysters, to lobster rolls, whole lobster, salads, charcuterie, etc. They also offer a kids menu which is a nice touch and crispy fish/fish & chips is even an option.

I've been so curious to try this place after finding out that the chef & owner of this place was from the show "top chef". Husband I came here for lunch & we each had the lobster roll & shared the seafood platter which came with oysters & Peruvian scallops. The oysters & scallops were fresh & the lobster roll had good flavor but I honestly wasn't blown away. Ambiance had a chill vibe & they have bar seating as well. They also sold ice cream next door which is connected to the restaurant. Thought it was different & interesting. Service was cordial & great. I don't mind giving this place another try unless I'm in the area.

Huge shoutout to my daughter, whose curiosity is the only reason we even noticed this hidden gem! This place is an absolute find. It has a great community vibe (shout out to Isabella, Fizzy and Ansel who we all met within an hour of being tand is super popular with local parents and dog owners. The location is unbeatable--right next to the Del Rey Lagoon, making it the perfect pit stop for a quiet beach day. While we didn't try the actual food, the sweet treats were incredible. We had ice cream and the key lime pie cookies, which were delicious. The real highlight, though? A popsicle in a glass of Prosecco! You can't get much more fun than that. Definitely worth a visit!

Some of the best seafood you'll ever have. This restaurant is a treat from start to finish. Everything from the beverages to starters to entrees to dessert are AMAZING! The menu evolves and adapts with what's in season so be sure to come back time to time for new items. I also highly recommend this place if you want a better meal before heading to LAX. Playa provisions is not too far away from the airport so if you want to dine on something delicious, or send off a guest with a good meal before dropping them off at the airport, stop at this place.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant, which was very busy on a Thursday evening when we arrived at about 6:30PM. We were told by the hostess that we could either wait an hour for a seat in the main dining area, or we could go back to the whiskey bar, which also served the same menu. We opted for what we thought was the quieter option in the whiskey bar. We placed our drink orders and ordered a couple of appetizers. The ceviche was very good; the fried calamari (which also had baby shrimp in it for some reason) less so, as it was more soggy than crispy. The service was also lacking, as both of the bartenders seemed preoccupied with the people seated directly at the bar, but didn't pay attention to the surrounding tables. We had to hail a bartender several times to get service. Overall, an underwhelming experience for the price. More than 100 bucks for a couple rounds of drinks and two appetizers. I'm not sure we'll be back.

As Grand As it gets…read more I've been stopping in to Seven Grand for well over a decade now O.O and I still love this top notch whiskey bar lounge in Downtown Los Angeles. From fun nights out, special occasions, whiskey tastings, exploring the speakeasy... playing some pool, enjoying libations, taking in live music, perfect outings on the patio, the occasional cigar. So many great memories and experiences created here including some awesome date days with my other half. If stopping in for the first time you'll discover S.G. on 7th and Grand Avenue with a door person usually always at the bottom of the staircase just outside of the restaurant/cocktail bar Zaya (which has been many incarnations including Bar CDMX, V and Mas Malo). Provide them with a valid ID, as anybody over 21 should have a valid form of identification on them at all times, not just for driving or access to 21+ events or establishments, but for safety. And Seven Grand cares about everyone and their safety. They value their staff as much as their customers. And it shows in every way from thoughtful space in all directions, great pool tables, a whiskey, bourbon and scotch curated cocktail menu, even some good brew/beer. Awesome hallways with cabinet lockers, the cleanest restrooms, great dim dark warm lighting, fun fixtures and true DTLA vibes that feel old timey yet also very modern. Seven Grand is open to all and all are welcome. Stellar daily happy hour 4pm to 8pm. I love a good $10 Toki Highball at 5pm, but you can't go wrong with their classic old fashion also. All the bartenders are incredible as well as personable. S Grand is open every day from 4pm until 2am. Loads of lots close by as well as the Metro station at 7th and Metro. Though the trains currently stop just a little after midnight. Rideshare is also your friend, which now includes Waymo in the area. Discover Seven Grand also in San Diego, Austin or Denver. If planning an event you inquire with Stephen via email for personal parties, events with a budget and even corporate parties. They're very accommodating with a good amount of notice. When we had my boyfriend's birthday here they reserved a table for us and set us up with everything we needed. Thinking of having my next birthday here myself both at Seven Grand and Bar Jackalope (their hidden speakeasy). Support your awesome LA Whiskey Bar!

Funny enough, I've passed this restaurant so many times and was always curious about it, but never actually went in until now. The restaurant has that classic old-school Italian mom-and-pop feel to it. It sits right on the corner of a busy intersection and definitely gives off a traditional, cozy vibe. I will say parking is pretty rough. We came on a Thursday evening and got lucky finding a spot right across the street in the front, but only after circling around a few times. Once we walked inside, we were told we could sit wherever we liked. There were already a few customers dining in. It was actually colder inside than outside, but we ended up sitting all the way in the back at a booth next to the window with the sun shining in, which made it really nice and comfortable. The service was great, very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere overall was enjoyable. The salad was delicious. The dressing had really good flavor, and the walnuts and goat cheese paired well together. My son loved the spaghetti and meatballs and finished it almost immediately. I also really liked the flavor of the Alfredo sauce, it tasted authentic. Overall, the pasta dishes were very good. The only downside, and probably the reason I'd give this place 4 stars instead of 5, was the chicken. On both dishes, the chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The chicken in the piccata tasted dry and didn't really absorb the seasoning, and the same issue happened with the Alfredo dish. The pasta itself was great, but the chicken just fell flat. I did enjoy the complimentary bread along with the garlic bread we ordered, and my son also liked the kids pizza. They also make their crème brûlée in-house, and it was really good a nice way to end the meal. Overall, everything else was great, and we would definitely come back.
