Virgin coffee martini

I enjoyed the townhouse because the bar when you first walked in had a great vibe! The music was great, and the bartender was very nice. I asked for a virgin coffee martini, and it was really good!

Great place to duck into when you got your fill of Sun & Sand. Dark, perfect temperature bar. Outside is an area for live entertainment & what a show #blackartdistrikt put on, improvised Jazz R&B. I knew they were gonna be good when I saw some brass instruments. The trumpet playing was very Miles, if you know what I mean. Service was great and they made sure to keep the cigarette smokers at bay. Outside is beer & lighter beverages indoor is the Full Bar.

Great vibes, a packed house, good music (it was disco night downstairs let's gooo), affordable drinks, and a large capacity to hold everyone between their two floors. Also there's a pool table if you're into that which is fun too.

Physically Aggressive Security & False Accusations -- Unacceptable at Townhouse I'm leaving this 1-star review not because of the vibe, music, or atmosphere of Townhouse -- in fact, it's a spot I've enjoyed before. I'm writing this because what happened to me last night was serious and completely unacceptable. I was on a first date. We got in, IDs were checked, and we ordered two shot-and-beer combos at the bar. It was a chill night -- not crowded at all. Music was playing downstairs and I wanted to check it out. I went to the usual gentleman stationed near the pool table, who told me I'd need a wristband from the front security. No problem. When I got to the front and asked, the security guard said it was $20 per person. I agreed to pay $50 up front. He looked at me -- very judgmentally -- and told me no. I explained that I'm new to the area but come here regularly, and mentioned that the older Black gentleman who usually works security (but wasn't there that night) typically lets me in. That's when everything went sideways. The guard got upset and said I wasn't allowed to use the word Black to describe someone. I was stunned. There was no disrespect in my words -- I was simply referencing someone I've interacted with before. I calmly explained that I didn't mean anything offensive. For context, my best friend is Black, and I do not throw around identity terms carelessly or disrespectfully. Still, he denied me entry and was visibly irritated. Two white men then came up from the basement, and when I asked if it was worth going down, they said it was "meh" -- but mentioned they paid the cover. So why was I being singled out? In frustration, I said "f*ck you" and went back inside to grab my date. Moments later, the security guard followed me inside and physically grabbed me by the arm -- aggressively -- to drag me out. I told him to let go because he was hurting me. He wouldn't. I turned to the bartender who had served us earlier, looking for help, and he just raised his hands like he couldn't get involved. Then the security guard told me I was being kicked out because I "called him the N-word." That is a complete lie. I have never used that word in my life. I was in shock. The man from the pool table then came up to back his story. I was being cornered and falsely accused -- just so they could justify the aggressive behavior. We left, humiliated. This morning, I woke up with a big bruise on my arm from where I was grabbed. To the owners or management: feel free to review your security footage -- it will play out exactly as I described. This isn't about drinks, DJs, or ambiance. This is about accountability. Your security staff laid hands on a woman and made a false accusation to justify it. I expect you to take this seriously.

Steven /Stephen is a maestro. This man created the most amazing, delicious, delightful, cocktails all night . We went in for a cocktail and ended up spending 5 hours sitting at the bar . My drink of choice this evening was gin , my companion Tequila. We let Steven craft and create the most amazing cocktails all evening using these 2 separate ingredients. He gave us something different and unique each round. Highly recommend this amazing place . Dark, cool, sultry this place was a great night .

Boy is it dark in here! Located on the Venice strip - so no adjacent parking. At the entrance there will be security to check ID and bags. Walked in to find a not so crowded bar with booths in one section to sit and chat. Happy Hour is offered so suggest to stop by during this time as the drinks could get pretty pricey here! They also offer pool table and a clean restroom area. There is also a speakeasy downstairs where live music is played. Overall nice bar to hangout and grab a drink or two.

Thank you Mando for great service! We had some great drinks, meet some people. Check out the club downstairs, which was cool. Had a great time, per usual. They sometimes charge to go downstairs They have Unisex bathrooms

I came off hours in the early evening on a Sunday. The booths were quiet & intimate. Very dim lighting. The mojito wasn't my favorite, but my partners drink was better. The drinks lean a bit sour. ETA: paper straws

Good place to go if you want to chill and have some drinks. I liked that they had a pool table and it is only $1.00 in quarters to play a game. It's a little dark in here so it was hard to read the menu as well as see inside. I felt like the bar was understaffed for the amount of customers that were present. However, the bartender that helped us was super nice and apologized for the long wait. I mentioned that I liked my drinks on the sweeter side and he was able to make my drink sweeter that the standard recipe.

I like to go to town house when I feel like I want good drinks with the option to dance and move the body. Their cocktails are so good, the bartenders are professional and you can tell they have experience making cocktails. You have the option to go upstairs and have more of a bar sitting vibe or go downstairs to the basement and dance. I'll be back!

The oldest bar in Venice Beach with great vibe. We stopped here for a few drinks after visiting Venice Beach for the first time. I really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere this place creates. Everything was super organised and clean. There were cosy booths and plenty stools to sit on by the bar. Menu offers good selection of cocktails, beers, and some wine. The bartender was friendly and advised us on the drinks order. It's a great bar to come to and relax with friends after work or during weekend adventures.

The sauce helped bring some juiciness back and balanced it out. The bluefin tuna bibimbap was pretty enjoyable. The tuna tasted fresh and the textures worked well together, but the dish could have used a little more seasoning to make the flavors pop. The perilla was a great touch though. It added a slightly minty flavor that complemented the tuna without taking over the dish. The beef short rib was easily the standout. PERFECTLY cooked, incredibly tender, and seasoned just right. The richness of the meat paired so well with the lettuce wraps that it almost feels like they should automatically come with the dish. Service was good and everything came out smoothly. Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. Parking - love love that are a few parking spaces right out front. They're metered. But after 8pm it was free so perfect for us. Other than those spaces, there's a lot across the street if you want to risk it or also side streets parking too.

She told us that we could be seated at the bar immediately, which is what we opted for. She placed us at a lower portion of the bar with two seats, which was perfect. The bartender, Justin took our drink and dinner order and I have to say, he makes amazing cocktails! We had egg rolls for an appetizer, which arrived very quickly and went well with our cocktails. I ordered a rye old-fashioned and my wife ordered a house creation, "Jesuit's Tea Party," which she enjoyed. For our entrees, I ordered Hainan Chicken and my wife had the Walnut Shrimp. Mine was really good, but I have to say I like the Walnut Shrimp better. They have their breading skills dialed in, so next time I think I'd go with something fried. All in all a great experience. Great vibe and everyone was very friendly and attentive.

My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. I'd definitely be down to try more drinks here if we roll through again. Luckily, we found some close street parking and it wasn't super busy so we easily found parking in the area.
