    Cuban chicken sandwich.
    Tom J.

Met some friends for a birthday get together here and it was a fun time! It is VERY crowded on weekends. We were able to get seats outside and it was a not too hot day. A couple of friends and I went to Frybaby to try the Korean fried chicken. The truly exciting part was that they have many gluten free options. I had the chicken tenders and they were super delish. The cucumber salad was pretty good, but a bit spicy for me. The radish salad was excellent. One of our other friends got food from Isla Bella, which is Cuban food. She got a basket of fried plantains and they were also gluten free! I don't always like plantains but these were great. She also got the Cuban chicken sandwich, which looked delicious. This is a fun place to go with some friends, but I would try to go on the more off hours.

My new favorite food cart pod in Portland! What a cool place - so many food trucks with a wide variety of food items, lots of seating inside and out, as well as nice fun touches like a VW bus "art installation" and an outside area where kids can play. The inside seating area also has a bar - service was prompt and friendly. The Heist is a remodeled bank building that boasted a true bank robbery back in the day (fun fact: the real bank robber was in attendance at the grand opening!). Remnants from the former bank that The Heist is located in are cleverly designed into the decor everywhere you look. I ordered food from Golden Triangle and a Liquid Death Cherry Obituary from the bar to drink. Yummy yummy yummy! Oh yeah, Poison Waters hosts the Drag Queen Brunch at The Heist. Check it out! Fun place to eat and hang out - can't wait to go back and try something else... maybe I'll see you there at the next Drag Queen Brunch.

There are many options in this food cart section! Prices are so'so! It was busy but service was fast & there were lots of places to try. One thing to note is none of the carts offer drinks, you need to buy from the two vending machines onsite or hit the bar like area inside for craft drinks. Family friendly and pet friendly.

This place is a real vibe!!! We loved it. There were so many chooses - we really could appreciate it. We chose what we wanted to eat, went inside, grab a table and order drinks then played music bingo. Bingo is every Wednesdays at 6:30pm. We had such a good time.

Super cute place. Nice inside and great selection of foods. Inside has a nice bar and lots of seating. A coffee shop and an amazing fish tank! This is a really nice place for families, and I even saw a doggie inside (not a small one), so many inside is also pet-friendly? Fills up fast on weekends. Also, the prices for food here, I feel are at least %20 cheaper than other pods I've been to. Many things are 10-15 vs 15-20. Bake on the Run is a favorite place here, worth it just to try that cart.

This is an awesome food cart pod! I was highly impressed by the delicious food and amazing indoor seating area and bar. I will definitely be back!

Fun and interesting food cart pod. Love the idea of a converted bank. Sadly the safe deposit boxes with hidden treasures is no more thanks to people abusing it BUT you can find them in them in the coffee shop. Great variety of food carts with an assortment of cuisines to choose from. Had a pretty good Bloody Mar from the bar and seating was plenty. Great addition to the neighborhood.

This might be the best food cart pod in Portland. Located in Woodstock neighborhood, it's clear they put a lot of thought into this development. They picked a theme (bank / Monopoly) and ran with it. It's fun for both adults and kids to explore and see every little detail that relates to it - penny floor, murals, bank vault, Monopoly cards, etc. even if you don't care about the theme, it's a pleasant place to be, with plenty of exterior and interior seating. The property has its own bar and coffee shop, so no matter what hour you show up you can get a beverage. They have about 20 food carts that keeps their own hours, and have managed to attract some heavy hitters, such as Bake on the Run, Bark City BBQ, CoKieas Kitchen, Cookie McCookie Face, Golden Triangle, Kim, Jong Grillin, Rocket Breakfast. Overall, they cover a wide variety of cuisines and everybody in the family should be able to find something to enjoy here.

This is by far the best food cart pod that I've been to! I saw on a vegan Facebook post a photo of CocKlea's Kitchen Soul Bowl and thought to myself, I need this! I looked to see where they were located, and that's what brought me to The Heist! I parked on the street about a block away, so not too far. All the food carts looked like they were doing brisk business. I found CocKlea's fairly quickly and put my order in. CocKiea's Kitchen is 100% vegan. As I waited for my order, I wandered around to see what the other carts were offering. There was a wide variety. Many had at least one vegan offering. At first I was nervous about wandering too far from the cart I ordered from. I found an unoccupied picnic bench. I thought if I deserted it, it would be hard to find a place to sit, it was that busy! I was wrong, I found a really cool spot around the corner. After I ate, I wandered inside, so glad I did! The indoor seating area was really nice! They had fancyish tables and chairs! The vibe was really cool! There's a game room, indoor bathrooms, groupings of comfy chairs! I will definitely be back and hope to bring a group of friends with me!

Came here on a rainy Sunday afternoon and wow! This is a wonderful spot. Plenty of seating, great ambience, and a touch of the fantastic with all of the bank related items! Very cool and seems to be family friendly and have plenty of seating. It was such a nice relaxing time--I ordered some food, chilled for a bit, then ordered some more, rinse and repeat! A delightful afternoon and I love that there's a centralized place for seating and so many options for food--something for everyone!

I finally got to check out this cool place on a nice day after a hike. There are a lot of food trucks here. I would say about 70% with an Asian or Indian flair. Definitely going to come back and try one of those places soon. I chose the Smashburger place today. What an excellent choice I made! Two burgers on a really nice bun with plenty of cheese and a great sauce! There's a inside space with a bar that is really good. The artwork is interesting. The bar area backing is safety deposit boxes. It's pretty cool actually. It's open light and breezy. Very clean with plenty of tables. The tables were clean and so was the bathroom area. Lots of people there enjoying the afternoon. Families with their kids, couples, a lot of smiling faces hanging out. Plenty of choices of food here and definitely a good vibe. Check it out.

Cool holdup in Woodstock. Great selection of food trucks, cozy setting inside with plenty of community seating. Taps & cocktails indoor. Fun feature ~ bank vault with heist map ;)

This is a great spot with lots of food carts to choose from. Every vendor was polite and inviting made it hard to choose where to eat. This place is dog friendly with indoor and out door seating. Inside has bathrooms and a gaming area with a bar. We didn't grab any drinks as we were on a day trip from WA. All the food looked so good from all the carts. I landed on the coconut linguine with fried shrimp. It did not disappoint I did not catch the name of the cart however I only saw one offering it. The husband got at Monte crisco from the cart on the very end or beginning depending on what street you entered from. It's the only one of two serving breakfast. He absolutely loved it. From their menu they do a lot of local and home made products and the Hibiscus tea was refreshing.

Ask the Community - The Heist

    Are there bathrooms on site?

Yes! The facilities are so nice! Bathrooms on site, full bar, fish tanks, coffee shop, bank vaults, tv's, tons of seating!

They named it after a crime committed in 2010?

Per their website: Named after the old US Bank that once stood on the site, The Heist's unique theme…

Anybody have a photo of the menu(s)? Thanks.

Because 'the Heist" is the name of the pod, there's no one menu. Google their website and there's menus for some of the carts there.

After drooling over their Instagram, I knew I had to go. To my dismay I arrived at something that…read moredidn't look like it was a cafe or even opened. I wasn't even sure I was at the right place, thought they were still transitioning from one location to another. Until someone who shared the kitchen popped out. I was told that I should order online and come by for pick up, and was strongly urged to do so because these cheesecakes were really good. When I saw that they were doing a contactless store front, I knew I had to go. This was my opportunity to try it. I texted the owner to ask if the flavor I had my eye on was available. I was halfway there before the owner responded that they had one slice of pandan cheesecake left. There are multiple forms of payment with a card reader, and various apps to pay with online which made this a breeze. The owner Kiana, even popped to introduce herself which I thought was so nice! The flavors here aren't your typical strawberry, chocolate, peanut butter cheesecakes, even though she does offer some variation of them. There's pandan, ube, lemongrass, ginger mango, passionfruit, matcha, guava, pineapple raspberry, and I heard she even cooks up something with the pickle brine from the other business that operates in that kitchen. I thought this would be one of those situations where the food won't look like the picture. The pictures are obviously styled, they look stunning. Nope! The food looked just like what was on Instagram. I am a long time lover of cheesecake, dare I say it's my favorite of the cakes. The condensed milk ube mirror glaze was a lot thicker than I thought it would be and held its form. It wasn't runny and goopy. Loved that it wasn't a sticky mess. The crust was very very thick, I've always wanted more crust on other cheesecakes. On the description, it says it's "jasmine scented almond shortbread cookie crust" slightly saltier than most crusts I've had, but still very enjoyable. I've only had the traditional graham cracker crust and I'm afraid this almond shortbread crust has ruined all other cheesecake crusts for me. I have been disappointed at a lot of places using pandan, because the flavor just wasn't there, not Muse cheesecakes though. Pandan was present indeed. I would have loved if it was a little stronger, but I think that would have overpowered the cheesecake. Each component of the cheesecake are so different and complex on its own. They come together in delicious harmony to make this beautiful slice. I grew up with a lot of Vietnamese food and pandan has a very special place in my stomach.. heart! I've never seen jasmine used outside of tea and condensed milk outside of Vietnamese iced coffee. Kiana definitely has a way with these ingredients and she's a cheesecake goddess! I really can't wait to try the calamansi, Ube, and whatever else is getting cooked up in this delicious kitchen.

Durian cheesecake!!!! I am Vietnamese-Cambodian and durian is my jam. I love its pungent goodness in all forms -- pure and un-doctored straight from the prickly shell, ice cream, smoothie, topping on mashed avocado dessert and now.. CHEESECAKE! ohhh my goodness. My heart. I have returned so many times and buying extra slices (possibly buying out her supply for the week...) to share with my family and friends, who have all raved about the cheesecake from here. Durian isn't her only flavor though. She has so many creative flavors and I've noticed she's had comfort flavors from different cultures. To top it off, the owner, Kiana, is a wonderful lady. She is a one woman team and is kicking butt at her game from what I've gathered in the short time I've known her. She could be dead tired, but always has a smile on her face. I almost forgot to rave about her TARO BURGER on a vegan bun. I don't know how frequently she makes them, but if you see it being offered, do yourself a favor and get it. The portion is quite large so be prepared for leftovers. Unfortunately for me, my carnivorous sister gobbled the other portion of my burger right up and didn't even miss her meat. It comes with a vegan mac salad on the side. I am not one to enjoy mac salads usually, I think it's due to the mayo (not a mayo fan), but I actually liked this version. I forgot to take a picture of the burger before it all got inhaled. Sad face.

Omg the cinnamon crumbs are so good, that with the ice cream was really yummy (I'm a simple girl what can I say). The chocolate hardened into a chocolate shell and it was kind of only on the bottom of the cup so that was a little disappointing. The toasted marshmallow didn't add much, but maybe I'm biased bc I don't rlly care for toasted marshmallow ‍ Overall, the entire sundae is mainly a ton of vanilla ice cream. It's a big portion that I shared with someone else. Second time I went, I got the banana pudding sundae which was soooo good. I shared this with my friend and it was plenty. They give a good amount of banana pudding and you can tell it's quality. I saw bananas, the bread/wafer part, and it pairs nicely with the ice cream. Prob my favorite thing from this place. My other friend got the pbo which was also good. They layer oreo and peanut butter pudding so you get it all throughout the sundae which is nice. She also got an everything cookie which has literally everything in it. It was texturally interesting and not too sweet! Overall, good flavors and quality ice cream. The portions are a bit big and I wish they had half or even quarter sizes since these came in huge cups. At a certain point, the vanilla ice cream becomes flavorless bc there's so much of it but the sundaes were still pretty good!
