The Hidden Door is literally located across Whitman from our HOA. Some of the neighbors had great things to say about the owners, customer service, and the menu items. The Homie and I decided to give this spot a try back on 8/31/20. Enthusiastic and attentive wait person. Decent proteins (tried the brisket and meat platter - pulled pork, chicken, and brisket), onion rings, and big icy sodas. We also sampled some the cucumber salad from the chef/owner. I still prefer my barbeque from Marysville or Lake Forest Park, but watching them over the past six months they have a steady clientele seated in their outdoor covered/heated area. Glad to see them hanging in there through the pandemic.

Let's start with the best part: they have eight different kinds of slushies!!! Super good and amazing. The staff is top notch, and super friendly. And when the food arrived we were all quiet as we were too busy eating it all to talk :-) I will absolutely return, and you should come down for sure.

I'm so glad we popped in. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly staff. Air popped popcorn with nutritional yeast is my favorite and that was a delicious surprise.

Moldy menu. It's just normal printer paper and can easily be replaced, so why hasn't it been?

My wife ordered her favourite beverage ( non-alcoholic pina colada ) to go along with her meal. She took a couple of sips and asked me to taste it because it tasted like it had sat out for awhile. I tasted it and agreed that it didn't taste right. I asked our waitress if they would remake my wifes drink, and our waitress said she'd check on it for us. We sat there trying to enjoy our meal while watching our waitress ignoring us. I then proceeded to ask another waiter to see if he could remake the drink. After asking us what was wrong with the drink he informed us that it appeared that half of the non-alcoholic pina colada had been drank, and that he'd be willing to make my wife 1/2 of another non-alcoholic pina colada, because he said it was against company policy to replace any drinks that were drank half-way. We were totally dissatisfied with his solution, so we declined the offer. We then asked him to please just take take the drink off of our final bill. Unfortunately the restaurant was unwilling to remove the drink from our bill. We paid the $65 tab and did not leave any grantuity because of the subpar service that we recieved. We nicely informed the cashier as we were paying the bill that we were never coming back because of the poor experience that we had tonight. Is this how Las Margaritas treat loyal guests who've been patrons for more then thirty years? You didn't just lose my wife and I, you've lost our entire family, our friends, and our co-workers all over a poorly made beverage followed up with extremely bad customer service. We will never return after this poor experience and we will notify the people in our social circle about how this experience made us feel.

Fast forward to 7/6/25, The Homie and I decided to check out Jersey's on 152nd to wrap up the Fourth of July holiday weekend with their happy hour. There's ample adjacent parking, plus plentiful seating in both the bar and restaurant sections. There were well placed flat screens, which on this visit had the F1 race televised from Las Vegas and the US - Mexico Concacaf match televised from Houston. Lots of signed sports memorabilia posted on the walls. Our waitperson was friendly and attentive and provided us with both the Happy Hour (3-6pm) and extensive regular menus. I'd call this elevated sports bar cuisine. There's even breakfast/brunch items available on weekends. We both had refreshing iced beverages, an iced tea and a Pepsi, which were refilled during out meal onsite ($3.50 each). We ordered from the HH menu: Crispy JoJo Skins ($9), Hog Wings with coleslaw ($13), and Buttermilk Chicken Tenders with fries ($10). I appreciated the nice presentation of each of the HH menu items. The JoJo potato skins were loaded with melted cheese, green onions, and bacon bits plus a nice garlic lime sour cream sauce. The Hog Wings selected were succulent pork shanks tossed in kalbi sauce, garnished with sesame seeds and served with coleslaw. The Buttermilk Chicken Tenders were moist and not over coated and served with on point house fries. Yet again, another Shoreline gem flying under the radar screen. Jersey's Great Food and Spirits has great service and a wide variety of menu items to savor. Next visit will be much sooner and not a ten year hiatus!

Special shot out to our waiter last night, young guy, tall, didn't catch his name but, great service.

Legend has it that tens of thousands of years ago, our ancestors lived by eating raw meat and…read moredrinking blood. One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."

Service is very attentive and skewers came out in waves which is perfect. Super recommend this restaurant if you love skewers.
