This was actually much better than expected. A friend and I tried going Friday late night but did not make the cutoff since we were in line for a while buying tickets (tip: local residents discount does not apply to happy half hour). We ended up going Saturday right before sunset which ended up being the perfect time. Each "ball" is pretty large and we chose to go on the Happy Half Hour for 21+ where there's an open bad for $60. The bartender told us that the "ball" can hold up to about 25 people (though it would be pretty crowded with that many people). One rotation basically takes about 30 minutes and you can order drinks (one at a time) during that entire time (and take the last to go). They have liquor, beer, wine and mixers on board. We managed about 4 drinks in the 30 minutes. I also do recommend going around sunset. When we started, it was daylight and you could see the city and the natural beauty surrounding the city. Then you get the watch the sun setting and then see the Strip at night with all the lights. We even got a great view of the Bellagio water fountain show. So whether or not you choose to drink, I do recommend this attraction for everyone. read more

This is a tourist attraction worth visiting! Pay $50 and spend a half-hour with an open bar and incredible views. My friend and I went on our first trip to Vegas to get nice aerial views to the Happy Half Hour Ride. The Drinks: You're not going to get fancy cocktails. But you can get your basics: vodka + soda, cranberry + vodka, coke + rum, wine, beer, etc. Over the course of the 1/2 hour ride, you can have 2-3 drinks (at least) and in Vegas that means you get your money's worth on cocktails when you consider the ticket price. Wanted to try something fun with friends that weren't your typical Vegas outing with drinks or clubs! So this was the next best thing. First off it's super easy to order tickets online so you can skip the line and head on in. The tickets have all day access which was great. For those who are alcoholics there's a separate ticket you can purchase that includes a bartender in your ball :) You do have to go through security and the machine which i thought was a little scary and odd but better safe than sorry right?!! the security was polite through searching and friendly so no worries. the whole experience was about i wanna say 30'min if i remember correctly so expect to spend 30-1hr here if the lines are long. you get about a couple minutes each degree of the views so it was nice. If you're balling i do recommending getting your own ball because you never know who you'll end up with .. a creepy old guy kept trying to touch me after some drinks but hopefully you won't have the experience. if you do wanna go this route keep in mind you might have to buy like 7-8 tickets something like that the view was nice and you can even see the airplanes taking off. i feel like july 4th would've been a better time to go! fear of heights? or panic attacks?! probably wouldn't recommend this place. once you're stuck up there .. you're stuck the whole ride. the ride itself isn't bad but knowing i couldn't get out whenever kinda bothered me esp cause it goes super slow. but other than that it was fun ! a one time thing. the gift shop at the end of the ride was more fun to explore for souvenir vegas gifts :) read more

Fun touristy attraction even in Covid times. I call it the London Eye of Vegas--but more circular than oblong and but higher. Highlights: - If you go at a non crowded time you may get a pod with not many people or to yourselves. We we did a Monday at 5:30pm and only had 1 other family with us so it was great. - Spacious pod: lots of room in it - Snacks and drinks: can get them downstairs and bring them along with you which was an unexpected treat. - Info on way up on screens: like tracking to the 550 feet and the fun celebration and tidbits of info. - Nice views: as expected ;-) Behind the Flamingo and Paris so some things are blocked. - For 21+ they have a happy hour ride with a bar once a day which sounds fun. - Location: behind the strip in a cool alleyway of restaurants. Midlights: - Cheesy photos with green screens: I love to collect these but prices are even higher than usual($31) - If you buy the day of, it's s bit more expensive. The line to grab a drink at the bar was pretty long so I'd recommend just getting tickets that go to the bar pods. I had a most excellent time riding this awesome ferris wheel. Tickets were available in so many places (online, in person via an outside kiosk, inside via a line). I was so happy to have secured my ticket ahead of time online as it turned out to be quite the time saver. While we went for the regular tickets I sure am curious about the VIP tickets that include a bar with all you can drink for the 30 minutes the ride takes. If you have friends in your group that are local (and have a id to prove it), they can enjoy half off the price of admission. Kicker is that they need to buy the ticket in person. The trip up to enter the High Roller was well organized an efficient. Someone to check our bags, another to scan our tickets, and an opportunity to purchase snacks and opt into having our photo taken. We had a decent size group so we only found ourselves sharing our experience with a few others. While inside the view was amazing and I'm happy to share that the glass encasing us was clean. There was some popcorn strewn about from the previous passengers, other than that it was sparking clean. There are a few tv's inside the ride with us that share information about the history of the area as well as facts about the ride. Interesting, beneficial, and at a great volume (loud enough to be heard if you want to listen, yet not so loud that you can't help but listen). Overall I had a great time on this ride. The ride was smooth and the views were spectacular (particularly of the mountains surrounding the area and some nearby construction). I definitely encourage anyone to give it a go. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the full-circle ride. It has seating benches, but the best views are by the glass. It has a 360 panoramic view of the Vegas and Sphere. It never stops moving unless it's closed for the night. It has a safety net to catch those who may miss their steps. Highly recommended. It really was just A-OK...I would not say I would not come back EVER again...but it will definitely be awhile or something I would hesitate to try again... We came in time for Sunset views but it was still all right... My partner and I definitely added High roller to our list of things to do for our road trip since we wanted to get away considering traveling is really risky during the pandemic. Pros: 1) Of course you get an up above view 2) AC inside the Bubbles (I like to call the different circles Bubbles lol) 3) Before boarding, you can buy alcohol or alcoholic margaritas for the ride 4) Tickets are done through the phone 5) Kind customer service/Bag check 6) Social distancing line/tape on the floor Cons: 1) The grouped up multiple people in the bubble. I was hoping they would do 1 party per bubble.... 2) They did not sanitize the pens for people to use while signing receipts... 3) VERY EXPENSIVE. ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. I know that's to be expected because its a ride with views ON The Strip but approximately $80 for 2 people.....what?! 4) The windows were dirty and had a lot of dry water drops ruining the view and pictures. Had trouble trying to get my card to work buying tickets and noticed someone working on one of the machines. I asked him and I know he was busy but he assisted none the less. He said my credit card was probably not being accepted by the machine and proceeded to show us how to purchase the tickets and PURCHASED THEM for us. WOW!! We were quite taken back. I was apart of the group that got stuck at the very top fr 2 hours Saturday night after a different pod broke and everyone was sideways and standing on the glass. The problem I had was They wouldn't tell us why. Just let us all freak out as we watched cops and firetrucks surround us. All they would tell us is they were working on it, had they just said "one pods mechanics are not working, we are working on getting that fixed before moving, will get you down soon" then we wouldn't have been up there panicking thinking the building under us was on fire. Then to top it off: once the fear kicked in (and the drinks from the bar in the waiting area) I had to pee so bad, when we got off we all rushed to the bathrooms and the employees YELLED at us. Saying "we already cleaned these. They are closed" like WTF you kept us up there for hours, I hardly can hold it, and now you won't let us use the bathrooms Many (including those in pod 12, the one that broke) have yet to get a refund. The staff was rude that night to all these terrified people. And anytime someone got mad when they wouldn't answer what happened they would just have the cops escort them out instead of answering anyone. Emergency happen, but the way you handle them says more about the company! Caesars and linq have lost our business! Treat your terrified guest better!!! read more

The High Roller experience is great if you'd like to take a 30 minute-ish break from walking and have a good bird's eye view of the Las Vegas strip. I was a bit skeptical at first because the height of the wheel intimidated me as it stands at 550 feet tall, but once I got into the pod, it didn't feel bad at all as you barely feel the movement of the wheel. My friend purchased the Happy Half Hour tickets for $50 per person, which comes with unlimited drinks from the open bar in one of the pods. So if you want to get the most bang out of your buck, then you need to have the ability to chug in as many drinks as you can in a span of 30 minutes. Lol! You really don't get to have the open bar pod exclusively, so expect to have other groups in the pod with you. We went during the night so we got a great view of the strip with all of the lights and the Bellagio fountain. You can also purchase souvenir photos (which is taken before the ride), and you can customize the photo backgrounds from their background selection. Few tips before the ride: 1. Empty your bladder before going. There's no restrooms while you're up in the air 2. The wheel slowly moves and doesn't stop when you enter the pods, so have to make sure you have good balance when going into the pod. 3. If you have an extreme fear of heights, I suggest to not do it. read more

Very unpleasant staff at the entrance performing security, specifically on 5/19/2023 around 2pm. Our son was asleep in his stroller and we asked to use the elevator. The obese male employee with the mustache denied that there was an elevator in the facility. I pointed to the handicap sign next to the escalator and said how do they get up? He ignored me and told me to use the escalator. I again asked my question, but this time asking is your ride not handicap accessible? Finally the young female working with him said, you need as escort for the elevator. I said fine we will wait. These two proceeded to ignore us until the young girl finally decided to help us because her male counter part was being so rude barking at us to stand in the corner (definitely on a power trip), even though we were not in anyone's way and there was only one couple being scanned. I would recommend coming at night instead of during the day as this ride is located behind hotels, so a lot of the view at the bottom of the ride is the back of hotels and the top of parking lots. The best view is obviously at the top; during the day you can see the track for the Bellagio fountains. Safety wise there should be some type of handrail installed for when you are entering. It is very unnerving to be instructed by a teenager to just walk on when the ride is moving, especially since there is a small gap between the platform and the ride. I was pushing a stroller and luckily there was no issue, but I would have felt more secure having some type of barrier on my side. read more

If you are ever in Vegas and want to get a nice look at the city of Vegas go on the high roller. You definitely have to check it out at night time because the view is perfect. This was my first time going on the high roller while being in Vegas and I must say I expected more out of it. I bought the open bar ticket and just to let you know you have 30 minutes to drink as much as you can but they put like 20 people inside one pod. I would have preferred to buy the regular ticket if I would've known this was how it was. Overall it was nice for the experience but I do not think I will do it again. read more

Accessibility: great experience; very wheelchair accessible. GO, no matter your mobility. If walking is a challenge for you, I do recommend getting a wheelchair temporarily or at least telling the employees as you enter that you have a hard time walking and they will happily assist you! Experience for someone very scared of heights: I bought a ticket online (best way to do it...much faster than waiting in line to buy), and I went over to the entrance and got in right away. I'm in a wheelchair so the employees helped me right away and got me on the elevator inside to go up to the High Roller. They stopped the entire High Roller to put a ramp down for me to enter the bubble part, and once I was safely inside they continued the movement of it. For people walking onto the High Roller, they actually have people walk on and off the bubbles while it is moving (slowly) which is scary to me because I am afraid of heights. If you are super scared of heights and falling, try asking them to stop it so you can get on without the movement. But even If you are scared of heights, I do recommend this! It's really cool, and inside the bubbles it is very spacious (not too many people in each one because of COVID rules), plenty of space for you to move around, stand or sit inside (they have benches), and the ride inside is super stable and smooth with no rocking at all. The entire bubble is closed so no access to fall out, and the floors are NOT see-through. If you are scared of heights you can look out at the buildings, not down, and it really doesn't feel scary. It's similar to being on an airplane, but LESS scary than that because airplanes have turbulence and this ride does not at all. Day versus night: go during the daytime if you want to see all of Las Vegas and the surrounding mountains. Go at nighttime if you want to see all the city lights and flashy things with just darkness outside the city (where the mountains are with no lights). I would absolutely go again, and recommend anyone to go. read more

We visited at nighttime with my family ages 3 to 60+ where everyone was tall enough to ride. We bought discounted tickets online beforehand and skipped a half-hour wait in line. On our way to the wheel, we declined an opportunity for a group picture. At the wheel, we boarded one of 28 pods that can comfortably accommodate about 20 people each. I love doing touristy stuff when going on trips and this definitely checked my box. You are able to go on a ride either during the day or at night. Each ride is about 30 minutes. I looked on Groupon and found anytime tickets with the happy hour option for $50/person. I picked anytime because they allowed for the evening viewing and I wanted to see Vegas all lit up at night. The bar tender was great and right away he told everybody it'll be a 4 drink minimum. He was not trying to stiff us at all. He kept the drinks flowing all 30 minutes and I even left with a drink! Typical drink in the strip go for $25 so I felt like this was a good deal, 4 drinks and a ride on the High Roller. Great time and great experience overall. I really enjoyed the views up here. If you want to get some good photos, and you're not scared of heights highly recommend. What I did not realize was how cold it was inside there, bring a light sweater because you will be in there freezing for 30 minutes. Another thing was just that when you're trying to take picture there are water spots which show up in your picture. Take many so you can pick the best one! It is a very slow moving ferris wheel so everyone in your group will have a chance to take pictures. Honestly you don't even feel it move it is that smooth. Welcome to Vegas. Everything is high dollar. This attraction is worth every dollar, I bought the Happy Half Hour tickets a week before the trip, received the electronic tickets instantly by email. Uber dropped us off at the door, bypassed the line straight to boarding. Pro tip, there is a bar right before you board to grab a drink for the non-happy half hour pod. Our party of 2 boarded a pod all to ourselves. Our bartender Jeremy was personable, friendly and provided Vegas entertainment along with taking photos of us toward the end. We timed our visit to catch the sunset and the Strip lights coming to life. You are so amazed at the view, the half hour goes by so quickly. The only thing I would have wished went differently was the boarding process since it was a little clunky with proctors directing you here and there, to get in this roped line then stand over there then here, it was not busy. My first visit was last Friday and I can't stop telling everyone 'bout my positive experience! Soar 550 feet above the center of the Las Vegas Strip on the High Roller, the world's tallest observation wheel. There is a cabin that you can rent out for a private party, in which you can fit up to 40 people inside plus your own bar! Seems like this would be a fun 40 year old birthday party idea, just sayin'! If you decide to visit High Roller, I highly recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance so that you can just walk right thru. I'm not sure if this is worth it. It is kinda cool to see the views of the Strip. I think a helicopter ride over the city might've been better but this was a more affordable option for my friends and me. We witnessed a proposal on here so that was fun. The line goes fast and it does feel like you're in line for a ride at an amusement park. It was pretty cool seeing how high up you're going. I took a couple of pictures but after awhile, the hotels and casinos start looking the same. Now that I have done it one time, I wouldn't buy tickets to do this again. read more

A delightful experience! The view up top is amazing. Its a 'must do' things in Vegas. The skyline and lights of the city look beyond beautiful at night. Price wise its a little bit too expensive since you cant take any personal food or drinks in the wheel. Expectation: everyone kept on telling me about the happy half hour pass... so I came here expecting to be drinking as much as I can and having a wonderful time enjoying the view having some nice drinks. Reality: My hotel who got me my voucher didn't tell me it's a separate ticket if I want to go into the happy half hour. So me and my husband ended up just getting one drink at the entrance. We ended up going into one of the rollers with a batch of kids who took the rest of their time being kids and taking a billion photos. Nothing wrong with being kids but it's just not what we expect.
