Blue Harbor House - Sourdough crumpets

Lauren and Greg are the new owners and are keeping up the same charming reputation as the past…read moreowners. When we arrived we were met by Lauren and her son Elliott. They welcomed us to the Inn, gave us a tour and some fresh baked cookies. When we came downstairs in the morning Lauren had set out coffee and fresh baked crumpets. For breakfast she served overnight oats with chia seeds and blueberry compote followed by a tomato artichoke frittata and salad. Everything was excellent! Since we are avid hikers Greg recommended the Mount Battie trail which is within walking distance from the hotel. As we were heading off for our hike, Lauren provided us with more fresh baked cookies still warm from the oven. Greg and Lauren made us feel right at home as did their son Elliott. Elliott has a true entrepreneurial spirit and is very knowledgeable about the Inn and the area despite his young age. It was a pleasure staying here.

Do you want a delicious two course breakfast each morning (included in your stay) cooked according to your dietary needs? Do you want homemade cookies or brownie at the end of the day packaged and prepared just for you? Do you want to walk a couple of blocks to the charming downtown and waterfront of Camden? How about staying in a charming, quaint, and clean room or suite? How about a drink during happy hour at their cozy bar? Do you want to sit on their porch and read a book by the firepit? If so, make the reservation now! The Blue Harbor House is charming, romantic, and well maintained. My wife and I stayed here four nights recently and used this location to not only spend time in Camden, but to visit other nearby towns like Rockland, Bath, Brunswick, Rockport, and Belfast. Don't forget to visit the Cellar Door Winery in neighboring Lincolnville. Everything worked in our Snug Harbor Suite to perfection. Housekeeping did a great job each morning cleaning and replacing whatever was needed. The innkeepers, Matt and Michelle are warm and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. From the moment we booked our reservation, they began making us part of their family. Just talking to them and some of the other guests about life was relaxing and therapeutic. The price here is very reasonable and worth every penny. There is plenty of parking in their private parking lot. As I said earlier, there is no need to look any further.

Unfortunately, we were only there one night, but I'm hoping for a chance to go back. The location is fantastic, just a couple of blocks from the heart of the town. The inn itself is very nice and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and Kim was friendly, helpful, and hospitable.

She was so friendly and went above and beyond in discussing which area restaurants and attractions would best suit us. We woke up both mornings, to a delicious homemade breakfast which was served on the beautiful and glistening sun porch while lovely classical music played in the background. The service that was provided by both mother (Kim) and daughter (Lauren) was exquisite and warm. Our room was bright, sunny, clean and just the right size for the two of us, as was the private bathroom. Each room was decorated beautifully with vintage type plates throughout...a theme soooo fitting for the style and feel of this home. A special addition to our "sweet" stay, were the delicious home baked cookies that were left out in the afternoon. They were so good that we would peak around the corner each time we arrived back to the house, with hopes of seeing a new batch! Timbercliffe Cottage Bed and Breakfast - Finn!

We were very disappointed in the breakfast and access to the butlers pantry. The breakfast was not at all close to what is depicted on the website. Very little food...not even a full adult breakfast (one very thin waffle and three small slices of sausage). No granola and yogurt or food comparable to what is advertised on the website. The website says there are items available in the evening, but all we could find was a jar of prepackaged cookies. Also, the butler pantry is closed in the middle of the day, so no access to anything placed in the fridge, the ice, the water, or coffee. I've stayed at many bed and breakfasts in New England and around the country and this one was disappointing, to say the least. We had gathered with many of our friends for the weekend who stayed at Timbercliff and at other B&Bs in Camden. All had nothing but great things to say about the large breakfasts, hosts, accommodations. We and our friends who stayed at Timbercliffe were disappointed. Other notes: * No information shared with us on housekeeping (fresh towels? do they come in every day or not...just wanted to know) * Never officially met Kevin (one of the owners/hosts). Even though we stayed for three nights and he served breakfast to us without saying much. I would not recommend if you have options of staying elsewhere. I very much wanted to love this place, but sadly, we walked away disappointed because our expectations were what we saw on the website, which vastly differed from reality.

The patio is massive and the views of the ocean are amazing. I wish I could sit on the patio for a month with a glass of wine and a book. The hosts are welcoming and lovely-- they made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The breakfast is absolutely DELICIOUS and we were so excited every morning to eat. Thank you so much! We highly recommend anyone stay here! It was perfect!
