The park is quiet enough (though the neighbors heater roared all night) and easy to navigate. The pull-through sites were long enough (62 ft) and with full hook-ups. There was no one at the office. Two women came up on a golf cart-neither wearing masks. I expected them to put one on when they walked inside but they didn't. We gave our information quickly, signed and got out as fast as possible. I don't get how someone who is in contact with many customers would not care about their health and safety-or even state law. I cannot recommend and would not go back to the park.

The hookups are maintained and the spaces are labeled which is nice when you pull in at night. The laundry facilities are clean, running and air-conditioned which is a plus in the hot AZ weather! They even have a dog run on the property which is awesome for people who bring their furbabies along on trips. The best part too is their rates are amazingly low compared to some more crowded parks out there! Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area again!

That's frustrating and a waste of time and gas, especially after staff already mentioned competitors were charging $25.00 If pricing changes, customers should be informed clearly before they make the trip. Perhaps, Thousand Trails should take a look at it because years ago, this is what they were like. The streets are wide as are the sites. It's easy getting it and out no matter the size of your rig. Many of the sites also have great views of the Laughlin area and the Colorado River. On the weekends you can enjoy breakfast, dinner and planned activities. The food was good and very reasonable in price. Staffing can be a little touchy so do as you're told or the lady in charge will jump on you. We loved this park and will very definitely return.

Ride direct to gas up at their gas station before a ride no need to take gas cans. Tipping driver is optional but we always did due to great service. It can be a lil noisy due to ohv rolling thru only in the pull thru site area nothing to concerning - if your used to Glamis/Dumont noise then Avi is quiet-Camping rates are reasonably priced- good customer service. Best of both worlds: Riding during the day & Casino life at night-Overall good time.

The town has had its ups and downs--mostly downs--over the years. Once a mining area, the town has gone downhill since mining ceased. There are signs that the town is for sale. In 2017, American Green Inc., an Arizona based company bought the town for $5 million and had the intention of turning it into a cannabis paradise. The company struggled to raise the money to convert the town into this cannabis resort and sold the town in 2018 for $7.7 million--$2.7 million more than they paid to buy the town to Delta International Oil & Gas, another Arizona company. Nipton is a pit stop on the way to/from Lake Mohave and Lake Mead. You will see a number of boats and trailers with jet skis traveling the route between Nipton and the docking areas along the Colorado in Nevada. Since my last time here, the town has added three pieces of public art. I enjoy seeing places that install art. It's a draw for tourists. But now stopping at the Trading Post for a cold drink or restroom break seems to be what the town is best for. It's a little gem in the desert, but it generally won't be on your "to do" list another time unless you're using this route to get to the Colorado.

There was also a store which was not stocked to the brim but when you are parched and dry this looks like the perfect oasis for an ice cold beer. There are several day trip destinations close by such as Nelson, Walking Box Ranch, Mitchell Caverns and Castle Mountains National Monument. I only like to visit this area in the month of April and October when the weather is perfect. But this month of May has been cool and rainy. A ver rare exception rather than the rule.

Decent Base Camp Near Downtown Kingman…read more We had a pleasant experience at this RV park, even though we had to cut our stay short due to a change in plans. The office staff was polite and very helpful--they made the check-in process quick and smooth, and they were understanding and efficient when helping us get a refund for our unused nights. The park offers full hookups and has plenty of space for both pull-thru and back-in parking. However, the sites are unpaved and not completely level, which made setting up our camper and sewer hookup a bit tricky. There are a few trees for partial shade, but you'll definitely want to use your awning. Be prepared for some dust and sand--bringing a good door mat is highly recommended! We weren't able to test the Wi-Fi as it was down during our visit. On the plus side, the park has clean restrooms and a laundry room, as well as a pool and a propane filling station. We didn't use the pool because it was a bit chilly and not heated. It's also located right off the main road with only a wrought iron fence for separation, which didn't offer much privacy. There appeared to be a number of long-term guests, many with elaborate setups like smokers and canopies, giving the place a lived-in, community vibe. The atmosphere felt family-friendly and safe, with folks enjoying themselves into the evening hours. The location is convenient--just a few miles from downtown Kingman. It's bike-friendly, with flat terrain and easy access via back roads. Downtown Kingman is charming, full of niche antique shops, great restaurants, bars, and even an awesome record store. You're also just down the street from essentials like a supermarket, Walmart, and AutoZone. In the end, the price was fair, the location solid, and the vibes reasonable. It's not paradise, but it's a good place to set up camp while you explore the quirks of Kingman. We'd recommend it to fellow travelers, dusty boots and all.
