Wife had a piercing done. There needed to be an adjustment made. Was told the person would be in on certain days. That person didn't show at the given time three times. Wasted three trips on three different days. What started as a good experience ended up costing a lot of wasted time. I took my 9 year daughter here to get her ears pierced. I always thought that I would take her to Clair's, but after reading the reviews I decided that I'd take her to The Hole Look. This place has some the raddest people/artists/piercers in the state! I've been getting all my ink done by reed since I was 18, 29 now and I've only ever got complements/laid from his work ha seriously an amazing artist. Painless James is super dope too and just a super nice/cool dude. I have 10 other piercings and 7 tattoos but finally got my nose pierced yesterday from here. I have had all of my things done in Oregon so I had no clue on a safe/clean/experienced studio so I asked around for the best shop and this place came highly recommended. I knew exactly what to look for and what I wanted in a studio to pierce me. This place had it all. Knowledgeable, clean, high quality jewelry, accepting atmosphere, no judgment, helpfulness. I've gotten a few of my piercings done at this shop and though the artists there are good, what happened today was more than enough to make me never come back. My sister and I Went to go see about a nose piercing at 6 pm and their open sign was off even though their sign says they close at 9? I saw a lady in there cleaning so I thought I would just ask when they usually close since their sign isn't accurate. When she saw me she signaled that they were closed. I just needed to ask a question so I waved again. She dramatically rolled her eyes and stomped to the door and swung it open and said "yes? We're closed" she explained to me that 9 was a "loose number" because it all depends on what time the artists leave. Maybe the sign should say that? She was so rude and I just wanted to know what time they usually close. read more

I had gone to this establishment in February of this year 2016. I cleaned my piercing religiously and ended up with an in infection that required emergency surgery.. I almost lost my life due to the infection. I was out of work for 6 weeks. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place. After getting referred to this place by BPU (they didn't have a variety of jewelry) I was a bit skeptical to even get my nipples pierced at all. I just got a triple forward helix yesterday, and I absolutely love it. The experience was so good. I was nervous going in, but the piercer made me feel comfortable and explained every step of the process to me. She was able to do all three piercings with very minimal pain, and the placement and everything just turned out great. I have visited this establishment on multiple occasions but recently encountered an extremely pushy blonde with a septum piercing at the front desk. Discussion of things such as infection control and telling the client what to do in a condescending manner in front of customers is highly inappropriate. Being that i am a board certified critical care nurse and infection control nurse i believe i would know more than the front desk assistant and arguing with a client is a bad business practice. Being that anchorage is a small place and there are multiple establishments for piercing needs, you should probably hire individuals with proper customer service attitudes. From here on i will recommend one of the many piercing shops for peoples piercing and body jewelry needs. I myself will not be returning. read more

I just got my industrial pierced at the Hole Look last night, and I LOVE it. Adam was my piercer, and he took his time because he wanted it to turn out perfect. You could tell he truly does his best and takes pride in his work. He was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable and explained everything as he was going so that I wouldn't be nervous or surprised. And the girl at the front desk ( I can't remember her name =/ ) was so sweet and friendly and definitely knew her stuff and answered all my questions. Before deciding where I wanted to go, I called both Body Piercing Unlimited locations to ask them simple questions about making an appointment and their hours, and BOTH girls who answered the phones had such an attitude and were no help at all and were NOT friendly -- definitely a turn off! That made me not want to bother driving out there and having to deal with them. So I called The Hole Look and the girl who answered the phone was so nice and willing to answer my question. It doesn't hurt to go the extra mile and be a little friendly! You lose business if you're rude to potential customers, simple as that. Anyway, I am VERY happy with my piercing and highly recommend The Hole Look to anyone. read more
