I visited the MTV store today to exchange a couple of propane tanks and purchase a few additional ones. When I arrived, there was no parking available near the propane area, so I had to park in the main lot. After completing my purchase, a team member named Mauricio kindly followed me outside to assist. He helped remove the empty tanks from my car for exchange and brought the new ones over for me. While it may seem like a small gesture, it was truly appreciated--especially on such a warm day. Thank you, Mauricio, for your help. You made the entire process much easier. read more

Customer service at this location is non-existent. If you doubt it, try calling customer service - they'll transfer you to eight different people rather than answer a question or outright hang up on you. Being in the store is worse because the service desk acts like you're putting them out by asking for help. The one consistent exception would be the lumber department, who are fantastically helpful. Worst store ever. I would not recommend going to this Home Depot. I asked to place an online order directly through the Home Depot website, but the store refused to process it that way. Instead, they pushed me to use "Order Up," which I did not want to do. Here's the problem: when you use third-party systems like Order Up, your personal information is kept and possibly shared. Home Depot is a corporate company, and while their privacy policy says they don't "sell" personal information in the traditional sense, they do share it with service providers, marketing partners, and for legal reasons. That's why you might end up getting scam calls or random phone spam -- it's annoying and frustrating. Another issue is that employees seem to prefer pushing orders through Order Up because they get credit or commission from it. To me, it feels like they're more focused on making money than actually helping customers. They would rather refuse a sale than miss out on commission. Horrible. Where do I start? My latest purchase, which I should know by now, not to buy from this Home Depot, was an interior bedroom door. The first time I got it from a different Home Depot, it had water damage, they quickly took the door back and rescheduled another delivery through the hybra vally Home Depot. The second door came and it also had water damage. But this delivery driver refused to take it back. Said it wasn't his responsibility and I needed to call Home Depot to reschedule pickup. I called the Home Depot that I had a thousand plus dollar order from who referred me to the hybra valley Home Depot who did the delivery. Long story short, apparently each Home Depot has their own policies which I don't understand since they're a national chain. They refuse to replace it and said that they would cancel my order and I would have to reorder and do a delivery charge. It was a completely different experience from the other Home Depot. You'd think this was a one-off situation but it's not. I ordered a refrigerator and dishwasher from the same hybra valley Home Depot last year. The dishwasher has only worked 3 months out of the 12 months I had it yet it is under warranty. GE has been out multiple times and finally said Home Depot was at fault for not replacing the drainage hose. Apparently the new dishwasher came with a drainage hose and Home Depot used the old drainage hose, rather than switching it out. As of result, the drainage hose has been blocking up. When I reached out to Home Depot, hybra valley again, they said it was over 30 days so not their responsibility even though they installed it incorrectly in the first place. It's my point of view that if you install something incorrectly in the first place, you make sure your customer is satisfied, because then they're likely to come back when they need other things. But that's not a high priority of theirs. I would recommend other Home depots, this one sucks. read more

On June 22 around 1100 I visited the Richmond Highway store and met Ryan. I asked him to help locate a part for a Tuff Sheds installation that was damaged by my very persistent Jack Russell Terrier. The search was ultimately unsuccessfull because Home Depot does not stock the part. However, the persistence of Ryan trying to help me was unrivaled, He is the prototype of the employee we hope to encounter when dealing with repair problems. This Home Depot has the worst customer service. I stood in the aisles looking for help to put 5 gallon drywall mud and 5 gallon paint can in my cart. After finding 10 minutes I heralded a strong burly male, but much to my surprise he said he "can't lift" but will call someone. No worries maybe he's injured. I waited - no call made and no one came. I then found another tall strong man, again he was unwilling to help me lift the items I need in my cart. If this Home Depot wants women to shop here it needs to stop hiring emasculated sissy men. I needed a charger for my drill because I wanted to put something together that night. I ran to Home Depot on a wing and a prayer at 9:56pm on a Monday, when they close at 10pm....expecting them to be closed. I just don't have that kind of luck but I guess it was my day or just a great store because not only were they open, but they were responsive and helpful. There were employees everywhere unlike other stores where you have to hunt people down. I find that impressive for being 4 minutes from them closing. I didn't get any dirty looks at all! We tried to return an item and then get some items with 2 gift cards I had. Alexis was the lady helping in customer service. She might be the most rude and just flat out unhelpful person I have ever encountered in a store. I don't ever write reviews, but this felt necessary. Not only did she not have manners and treated us poorly, but when I asked to use 2 gift cards (one was $100 and the other was $18) she told me we can't. Then when I asked why because that seemed weird, she told us to go away and get helpful from someone else. We asked to speak to the manager and she continued to be extremely rude. We decided to go back to the normal register (we had already returned our original items) and the lady there was extremely nice and had us taken care of in 30 seconds. Do not get your appliances at Home Depot. They send out appliances that have been packed damaged and do not want to exchange them or help you out. I received a dishwasher that had no damage to the outside box or the packaging and the door and inside were bent and they insisted I had to go through GE the manufacturer. GE service inspected it and found it had been damaged inside and the whole unit needs to be replaced. I'll never shop at Home Depot again. You pay good money and they don't want to do the right thing. read more

Well, I made the mistake of hiring them to replace my W/D. Home Depot contractors broke a W/D pipe as they were installing my new W/D and caused water damage to all 3 levels of my home. 6 months later, Home Depot and their insurance. company still refuse to refund my homeowner insurance co. for the damages that they caused. They blamed it on my "brittle pipe" but it was not brittle inside or outside. They deny being responsible for all the damages. I posted lots of pics of some of the damages. This location is a sad excuse for the home depot name. Upon entering. You're not greeted or anything. Walked pass multiple employees thru the garden center. Not one even said hi or anything despite looking directly at me. The store is fully stocked and is clean. They're NOT however sanitizing carts here nor do they have any chemicals available for cleaning the carts yourself. NICE........... The overall employees are nowhere near professional nor helpful. When I finally found a employee I could tell by the tone of his voice I was taking him away from texting on his phone to needing help finding a item. The main downfall of this store is trying to find a employee to help you really. After searching the store almost on the other end of the store. I finally found someone and the employee didn't even know what a "Dehumidifier" even was nor what it does. TRULY WoW..... It seems like most of the employees here are kids really in their early 20's. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But when your asking serious questions regarding home improvement. It's like your talking to a brick wall. Lillian in the paint department was very helpful in assisting me with my paint colors. She made sure I bought the CORRECT base paint to mix with the colors I picked out for my home. Lawrence (gentleman in the pictures) assisted me EVERY time (and I mean EVERY TIME) I purchased items that needed to be put in my vehicle. And EVERY TIME he serviced with a smile (just look at the pictures). Lawrence is so attentive, respectful and helpful. I've never had a good appliance delivery/install with HD, and the trend continues. We just had the plumbing redone in our kitchen. Purchased a new dishwasher and the install, and waited a week for them to deliver and install. Guys walked in and within 20 sec said (to my husband, not me of course), "Well boss, I got good news and bad news. The good news is we have your dishwasher. The bad news is we can't install it" - and proceeded to make up some bs excuse. We both immediately recognized it as bs, since, as I said, the plumbing was all new. They were gone in seconds. So we waited another week for the plumber they said we'd need for the install. Guy shows up and says idk what they're talking about. Everything is exactly how they said it wasn't. It's a Home Depot. I'm not actually expecting that much beyond a large selection of home improvement goods and basic services for acquiring those goods. I am expecting the store to have semi-knowledgable or capable staff at reasonable hours to provide basic help though! I wanted to change out the door nobs and locks on my house. This seems simple enough. Not at this store. My husband and I went to the store, but the ONE guy who can answer ANY questions about door locks wasn't there. We went again based on when we were told he would be there. He wasn't there. We started calling ahead, and still he wasn't there when we went to the store. FINALLY, we met "M", the only person at this Home Depot who seems to be allowed to answer any questions regarding rekeying and door nobs and locks. Well, "M" wasn't as helpful as we'd hoped either. I'm not sure who wasn't making enough sense, us or him, but after having enough of our questions answered to know what kind of door locks, etc we could choose for our needs, and being told we could rekey them, no one ever informed us that WE, really aren't the ones who can easily rekey all the locks. Also, Home Depot offers this as a service because it's not that straight forward and you need particular tools to rekey locks. So now my husband and I tried going back to Home Depot to have the locks we purchased properly keyed. Guess who is never ever there? I don't know how many times I have been told "M" will be there on a weekday, but then he isn't or he will be there on a weekend, and then he isn't, even when I call ahead! We tried one last time to get everything in order just as the coronavirus stuff was ramping up (changing locks seems like an appropriate project when you've got some time at home). I really feel like "M"'s supervisor needs to have better tabs on when their employees are supposed to be on the clock. Basically, don't come here for anything to do with locks or rekeying. read more

DO NOT USE ONLINE ORDER!!! I ordered an online delivery. They sent me somebody else's order. I called the store up to try to explain my issue. They tried to tell me that I had gotten the right order when, in fact, there was someone else's name on my package. It wasn't mine. "Are you sure that's not yours?" They said. Then they wanted me to bring the package back to the store so they could deliver it to the right person. When I refused and told them I wanted a refund they put me on hold for 14 minutes (I timed it). They found out the other person had received my order. I came in here to replace the plexiglass on a movie poster frame, but I really struggled to find some who could point me in the right direction. Once, I got there, however, the clerks were fairly helpful. Of course, the next item on the project list included hooks and wire. This search was kind of like a game of Chutes and Ladders, but not nearly as fun. Eventually, my quest did yield some sweet hooks and wire; things might have gone a little smoother if I could have asked an employee for directions, but there were none to be found. Yup, my major complaint about this store is that it is so massive it's sometimes difficult to find just what you're looking for..However, I did run into an old Buddy I hadn't seen in years, so maybe Home Depot is limbo for dudes with a home project. This branch is ok, just like all other home depots. The wait time to speak to an associate is long if it's busy. But the employees are generally helpful if you catch one walking by. The aisles are labeled well so I can find what I need relatively easily in such a big hardware store. The products are low-mid quality and you can find some higher end material in certain departments. I prefer my local hardware store but Home Depot does have a wider variety of products. read more

I waited for maybe 20-30 mins after 2 different people used the PA system to call to help me. Not a single person showed up. I swear this place had a 1-1 ratio in employees to customers in the store and not one could help me out. Going to lowes. Not the first time they delay. Also paid for a quote for hardwood floors. Never heard from never after calling and following up with them. They called me back 3 months after trying to see if I still wanted the floor. I made the mistake of ordering a dishwasher from Home Depot. To get a new dishwasher in a reasonable time, I compromised on the specific model. When the men came to install it, they claimed our cut-off valve was bad. This was simply wrong. It was a chrome-plated brass valve that had been doing its job with the old dishwasher perfectly. They said it was "plastic" and refused to install the new machine without our getting a new one. Although this was a red flag, I went along to get the dishwasher installation done. That cost us another day waiting. The plumbers finally came and changed out the valve. They said nothing about the valve being "plastic", but claimed it didn't fully shut off the water. However, they forgot to turn on the new valve, so our old dishwasher wouldn't work until we identified the problem. After several days a new group of installers arrived with the new dishwasher. But they soon discovered it had been damaged in shipment and wasn't worth installing. So we had to wait for another dishwasher to be delivered. After more waiting, a replacement dishwasher arrived, and it was installed by a different team. After completing the job, they started it for a test run, then departed. The washer ran for about an hour, but then stopped mid-cycle with water still in the tub. That was the last straw! Home Depot couldn't send out a warrantee replacement until next week, and a repairman couldn't come until even longer, another week. Now I've given up with Home Depot, and ordered a replacement from another dealer, one that is actually more like what I really wanted in the first place. I'm not dealing with Home Depot again for appliances! Update: The installer of the replacement dishwasher identified the problem with the one from Home Depot: The Home Depot installer improperly installed it, causing it to short out. He showed me the wires that had overheated and fused together where the washer connected to the house wiring! read more

Covid is pretty much over in this area so y'all need to stop blaming Covid for everything. Hybla Valley Home Depot is the absolute worst store I have ever seen! They have the laziest people ever. They will literally watch you load your cart or vehicle and not even bother to ask you if you need help. I watched them ignore 2 women yesterday load mulch on their truck. Never asked them once if they needed help. Today I go back to get more sand and pavers and omg it started raining/sprinkling and a female associate said oh hell no! I'm going inside and left! The men that were in the area soon rolled out 1 guy stayed. After an hour of trying to get the materials I purchased online and was notified they were ready. Of course they weren't, because the employees are too lazy to fill the order! They want to smoke weed on the loading dock! Back to what happened a assistant manager comes out and yells at the guy helping me because he doesn't have a "spotter" so he has to stop and go find someone so he can finish loading a pallet that myself and my helper hand loaded with the pavers we needed. Which now added more time. They tried to lie and say they didn't have the sand but another guy said oh yeah I put that in the back and he went and got it. I have literally had 6 online orders canceled In the past 2 days! There is no excuse for this! Oh and I almost forgot the store is over run with mice!! It's a freaking health hazard issue in the garden center!! Piles of mouse droppings all over sale items under around and on top of everything on the shelves in the garden center! Who ever is doing your pest control should be fired immediately and the management in charge of dealing with this should be fired immediately as well! They are not hiring the correct company or they are trying to be cheap to gain a bonus down the road. I don't know but the health department needs to come in and inspect this. I need to replace the doors on a shed so I went to Lowe's to see if they would cut my panels to size if I bought them and they say no. They only cut one way. So I went to Home Depot up the street and asked the hub there and he said sure! What great service at Home Depot. I got what I needed to finish the job and could fit it in my car so no need to rent a truck and make things more difficult. One reason why I go to Home Depot more than Lowe's. read more

I have been to this Home Depot several times. I can honestly say that I have never had a positive experience. The employees who work there lack customer service skills, they generally do not know where things are located in the store and generally will pass you off to someone else who also can not help. Reliance on their tech to help them find things has made it so no one knows the store, the products and the customer. The service may benefit from employee training on products and by simply walking around the store with the manager to learn about product and what the product is used for. Decided we wanted a different one in the interim and called three days after delivery to exchange for another home depot fridge and the unhelpful lady said 'that's considered buyers remorse, we can't help you'. We never took the fridge out of the box and wanted to buy a more expensive fridge but home depot's customer service is terrible. During our time with her selecting and purchasing the washer, at least one other customer was needing help but Ed never showed up. How do I know that his name is Ed, you ask? He was page a couple of times and still never showed up during all of this. my review is four stars because Cheryl is awesome, friendly, professional even though she was annoyed at having to do Ed's job in addition to hers, and was able to answer questions as best she could. so we are very impressed by Cheryl, but someone needs to drag iEd out of the break room. Repair was more cost effective than a complete replacement of all my window coverings. The plumbing department helped me find a rare plumbing part not carried by Home Depot. I found that I get the best service on the weekdays when it is less busy or on rainy days when fewer customers are working outdoors. For best selection, I recommend arriving early. For lowest cost, I recommend arriving at the end of any yard sale. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I spent 30 minutes in the store trying to get the item they claim to have at least 5 of online. Went to aisle....nothing. Waited for assistance.....nothing. Went to the service desk: first, they tried to service the person BEHIND ME as if I wasn't standing there; 2nd, tried to "man-splain" where to find the item ; 3rd, never sent help to the aisle. Then found someone to tell me where to find management, and they directed me back to the service desk. After 4 trips between there and aisle 12, the only solution was to pull out my phone, call the service desk and ask how the hell to get service in the store. Ended up leaving after I was told "oh, its here.....you just need to order it and COME BACK TOMORROW TO GET IT". I don't think so! Luckily the location on S Pickett Street had it.
