I am not sure why this store has 3 stars and I want to bring up their rating. We have been going to this store for 10 years and absolutely LOVE our Home Depot and plan to be loyal even after Ace opens across the street. They stock everything, they have a lot of employees and I am literally always helped when I walk in and am looking around - someone helpful always asks if they can help me find something. Recently, we got our new front door from here and there was a mix up on the order. The manager Kayla totally made it right and we are so appreciative and happy with our new front door! I went in to get some wire and couldn't find the right aisle. Then an associate, Moe, helped me and lead me to it. The wire was inside a cage, and I had to call for someone to open it. Moe, once again, came to help me. He was very helpful and friendly, and asked me if I needed help when I came in the store. He did a GREAT JOB, and I really wonder if he is a manager, he is so knowledgeable. Anyway, many thanks to him, and kudos to Home Depot for hiring such good people! read more

I came in to return a Dewalt saw that was exactly 90 days from purchase... I hadn't used it since purchase and only one week of work later the saw lost RPM and set the plug on fire. they were not helpful at all at this home depot. They would not replace my saw and told me to contact dewalt. Why do you have a 90 day return policy if you won't honor it? I went two days ago to this store # 1524 and it was freezing but I wanted to get my Christmas tree and I found an angel to help me look one by one until I found the tree I wanted. He didn't complain about the weather or anything, on the contrary he went far and beyond to help me. He was the cashier and his name is Mathew Denfeld. He really made my day! Don't buy a major appliance from Home Depot. I even got their credit card as it said "full refund for 365 days" to find out after I ran into issues this does not apply to "major appliances". I called to see if there was anything they could do for me to help out given the brand new appliance I purchased does not work appropriately, they simply said theirs nothing we can do. You would think shopping with a reputable brand like Home Depot would provide some reassurance that you would be taken care of given any issues. Simply put, they don't care, they just want your money and for you to leave. Go to Lowe's or other retailers to get your appliances. I am out $2K and have to go to the laundromat over the holidays to keep clean clothes on my children. Very upsetting experience with Home Depot, do better and take care of your customers. read more

Have multiple plumbing projects to be done in my home. I went into Home Depot in Broomfield to look at water heaters, toilets, etc. Fortunately, I asked the right plumbing staff person ---Thomas -- for help. After listening to my goals, Thomas helped me weigh several water heaters and toilets to determine which matched my needs. Thomas explained several plumbing dos and don'ts regarding the specific five plumbing projects I've been considering. None of the plumbing quotes I received detailed various parts that would be required to do complete the jobs. For instance, when installing a new gas water heater you must have a pan and expansion tank per our local code. That kind of upfront information alone made me understand clearly that I would need a materials list if I didn't want to have surprise costs of required plumbing parts that were not in the quotes. None of the quotes noted anything about a water pan or expansion tank. Thomas also explained other options for some projects that was less expensive and would be the correct way to implement these plumbing fixes. First of all, the store has billions of dollars in goods that you would think they wanted to sell. I went into the garden department and asked for a product, and one woman was so damn lazy that she just told me it wasn't on the outside, but may be inside. Then a younger woman, who is better looking than the first if that will help the manager spot them told me exactly where to go and I found the product. I was about ready just to walk out and go to Lowe's because they help me. The lazy workers at Home Depot ruined the reputation. The helpful workers Actually help them to sell more and enhance their reputation. I have to tell you that the new leader ship at Home Depot need serious help. Walked around the facility asking for assistance and people would either tell me they're "too busy" or direct to me an area where nobody was working. Trying to buy paint for exterior painting. Yet they don't have any 5 gallon buckets of the base color they need to make the colors we want in the paint we want so I'm expected to buy gallon buckets instead. Which increases the price but this big corporation apparently can't afford to make their customers happy and sell the 10 gallons of paint I need at the five gallon price cuz "I can't give you a discount on the paint". If I could give less than 1 star I would. I bought 12 - 20ft pieces of rebar and after multiple failed attempts to deliver, to somewhere not my house because we were home for 2 days straight with a contractor waiting on one day and no delivery attempts were made. Then after so many hours of waiting on hold, disconnected calls, and taking with people that just pushed me to someone else, the delivery was made... half of the order and completely not what we needed. I want to return the order and get a refund but was told I'd need to return the 20 foot rebar! 6 of the 12 we needed were delivered on a semi flatbed! How am I supposed to return these?! Go elsewhere for electrical wiring, or electrical supplies. I was setting up WiFi for my new apartment and needed a device to test the coax cables in my home. I found what I thought I needed, but I wanted to be sure so I looked for someone to ask for help. The first sales associate passed me to a different sales associate to help me - who then admitted he didn't know the answer, and then passed me to a taller, older gentleman in a light blue shirt who was working in the electrical aisle. I waited patiently for him to finish with a customer, then when he turned around and noticed me, he looked exasperated. He caught himself and asked how he can help me. Me: "I'm trying to set up WiFi and-" Him: "What is your question?" Me: "I'm trying to tell you-" Him: "I have another customer waiting. What is your question??" Me: "Go help the other customer-" Him: "WHAT is your question?" Me: "I don't know!! Will this thing-" (shows him the device I picked up) "-test wires!?" Him: "What wires??" Me: *points my phone at him to show him a photo of the coax cables in my home* At this point, he intently studies the packaging on the device I picked up, and pauses... before saying "yes", and darting off, leaving me standing there. This guy interrupted me three times because he was irritated and impatient, and because he can't manage himself when he has more than one customer waiting for his help. I get it: retail is stressful, but don't take your anger out on me! read more

And, it happens just about every time to me and I come here about once a week. I just came from my local home depot in Broomfield. I found that it was impossible to maintain social distancing. The salespeople planted themselves in the middle of the self check out area such that no matter which station you chose you were within 3 feet of the salesperson. Then after I got started the associate came over and stood right next to me. Astonishing! Someone needs to train these people! read more

This store is making no effort whatsoever to prevent spread of the virus. The checkout peole get close without a shield. Associates ignore customers violating social distancing. I watched, with an Associate nearby, as a customer tried on work gloves and then put them back in the bin. The Associate did nothing to either stop this or to cordon off the gloves tried on. I was here picking up some cabinetry which took way too long to get the order figured out. We had all the paperwork and everything, anyways that's not my reason for complaint. I don't know who Ronda is or what her title is in your location but she needs some development with customer service and perhaps management if she has that title. The way she was talking to the customer was absolutely condescending and disrespectful. I would never allow that from any associate or manager. She was embarrassing the customer in front of all the customers waiting yelling out loud "Why are we returning that? That is not our return policy." Regardless of whether the customer was right or wrong her demeanor was completely inexcusable. Not to mention she was carrying on her personal cell phone behind the counter. Rolling her eyes to her co workers, throwing her hands up in a dramatic manner. My father even said something to me about how she was treating that older lady. To top of off Ronda was dismissing the customer saying we have to help the next customer can you please move. And she was ignoring what the customer was saying. She just said we have to help the next guest. You have 4 employees working behind the counter and there was no need to dismiss a customer. I'm appalled Home Depot. read more

This review is mostly for our experience with purchasing carpet. However, we've really not ever had a great experience or horrible experience with other parts of the store. Most staff are friendly and helpful and somewhat knowledgeable. Others are not...ya know, it's so-so. However, we were not at all impressed with the carpet services from beginning to end. A bedroom in our basement had a leak and ruined the carpet. We ripped it up and went to Home Depot to purchase new carpet. They sent out a professional to measure, we purchased a carpet square. Total was over $1400 for one room. We were quite surprised at the amount, so we chose to go with a much cheaper option. The sales associates put an incredible amount of pressure on us to purchase a warranty. After inquiring further, of course, water damage would negate the warranty, so we explained AGAIN why we're having to purchase new carpet in the first place and it wouldn't make sense for us. We had to say no 5 times and he was still pushy!! After several weeks and my husband calling and the right person to talk to never being there they requested that we send them a picture of the room. We did and they required that the tile (that was under the carpet) to be tested for asbestos. Now, I completely understand the asbestos risk and don't fault them for wanting it tested. However, we have spoken to SEVERAL people about it and they all say the same thing: Don't mess with it, that's what causes the spores to rise. Just lay the carpet over it. Home Depot never told us anything about the testing requirement before it came up so we were blindsided and felt forced into testing it which would bring up other unnecessary costs for us. So, we chose to cancel our order. They slapped us with a $150 restocking fee. AND, to top it off, my husband was chastised by the person who he canceled from. The person said, "You can't keep doing this, you know." Ummm, excuse me?! You didn't disclose the information about the tile, and we're customers. We can do whatever is best and makes sense for our home, thank you very much. All said and done, even with the restocking fee, we will break even by only purchasing the carpet, not having "free installation" (as long as you purchase over $700 of carpet) and having an independent do the installation. I absolutely do not recommend Home Depot to replace any carpet. Ever. read more

Their second rate parts, not approved by the manufacturer, failed and caused flooding and floor damage within weeks. Now they won't return his calls and blame him for the leak. Placed an order for curb-side pickup around noon - they said that it would be available in 1-2 hours. We called to check status twice throughout the day and were told that it wasn't ready. At 6 PM, we were finally notified that it was ready for pick up. We went immediately to the store to pick the item up but when we arrived they refused to bring the item out because it was after 6 PM and "too late for curbside pickup." They told us that we could come in and pick the item up (we specifically chose curbside pickup because of the pandemic and we are at high risk) or we could come back tomorrow. I consider this to be a bait and switch as we picked this item specifically because we could both get the item same day as well as not having to enter the store to pick it up. This specific Home Depot is by far one of the worst and least helpful that I've ever visited. No attempt was made by the staff to make this right because they were "too busy." read more

Went to return some back splash that the parents got us for xmas, i had the receipt they did the return but only on gift card the design we wanted they didn't sell. We've done a fair amount of business with this Home Depot and always been very impressed with how helpful the clerks are. They helped us remodel our kitchen and re-do our floors. Most recently I spoke with Colleen Ertle about problems we're having with our fridge (which we didn't buy at Home Depot). She was extremely helpful and gave us some great suggestions on how to deal with our issue. Guess we'll be buying our major appliances there from now on. read more

I prayed they could be found....then Cameron came up and asked if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for; he looked up into the high steel and found the two that were "in stock". Never trust them. We have been told we will be getting phone calls and emails about our kitchen cabinet and install issues but no one ever calls. The final straw was last night when a drawer from our kitchen that has been used for 3 months fell out onto my daughter's foot. We were told we would get phone calls today and no one even so munched as called to see if she broke her toes. Mark the installer is horrible no matter what the kitchen designers say. They lie to you to get you to buy things and then when it comes in and it's not what they told you it was no one believes you. We asked for solid plywood cabinetry and spent thousands of dollars to get junk pieces of crap that fall apart after 3 months of use. Mark used wood next to live electrical wires to cover up his stupid install issues. We keep being told they reached out to their cabinet rep and the install company and will get back to us and no one ever does!! Horrible!! Do. Not. Use!! Of course I'm maxed out at 10 photos but I have almost a hundred of issues!! read more

This Home Depot is very conveniently located, so I keep going in, hoping it's gotten better. It never has. I can never get help finding what I need on their shelves, although I have been targeted many, many times by what I think are contractors trying to sell kitchen remodels, who come up and interrupt me and try to sell me on decorating crap. I once waited for almost an hour just trying to get someone to make a single cut in a piece of moulding so I could fit it in my car. I couldn't get anyone to help, and I was about to be late, so I never did get that moulding. And when they do try to help, they're useless. I was looking for some specific plumbing tool once and the guy didn't know what I was asking for, so he sent me all the way across the store to the cleaning supplies. I can only guess why he assumed I must be looking for a mop. Another time, I had a weird faucet I was trying to fit, I was disassembling it to show the employee the strange fittings, and he yelled and grabbed it out of my hands, telling me I was doing it wrong. Like I said, it was a strange fitting. I was doing it right. He almost broke it trying to yank it apart. And of course, they didn't have the part, so he started yelling at me again, asking me where I got it. Their hardware section is worthless, too. They don't even have the little drawers of screws and nuts and bolts--just overpriced multipacks you can't even directly compare. If you want some kind of low-rent decorator, it may be a perfectly acceptable place to go, but this is not even remotely acceptable as a hardware store. read more

Home Depot and I completely have love/hate relationship. Let's start off with the love part. You have almost everything I ever need there in the store. Your hours are amazing. I can rent some big expensive tools there. The bathrooms are so big and clean. Now to the hate. What has happened to the staff that knows something? You ask a question and they look at you like you're crazy. They only know a little bit about their own department and even that is very little. When you ask someone in the plumbing section where something is in the hardware section, you feel like you asked a complex math question. The best is when they say an item does not exist but you have it in your hands and you are just looking for a replacement. Also - Can I find a straight price of wood in the place? The answer is no. They are so busy there over the weekends that you really should only go when the sun is coming up or down. read more

I went to the store and found the light fixtures I wanted in a catalog. The local store did not carry the items in stock so I was instructed that they had to special order them through homedepot.com. No problem right? Wrong. The store entered the wrong shipping address. I caught the problem before leaving the counter. The associate told me that she would need to call the central processing office to update the shipping address. The associate also told me that she would fix the problem and call me back with verification. There was no verification call and I then got emails from home depot verifying the purchase being shipped to the wrong address. I then called customer service and all they could tell me was that it was indeed the store's fault and it would take 10 business days to process a refund which involved an investigation by home depot and by UPS. Home depot is unable to apply my funds to create a correct order and get the equipment out in a timely fashion. They said that if I wanted the equipment they would have to charge my card again for a new order and that I could wait 10 business days for the investigation and refund. Simply not acceptable. Home Depot screwed up the order and was completely unwilling to make it right without charging my card again. All this while they had money from the previous order and refused to release it until 10 business days.. Sorry home depot. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. read more
