MS Fontella, cashier, is the best!!!! I could not find a room humidifier, since only the commercial units remained. I was about to leave when I went to checkout to ask a cashier about online versus in-store. Ms Fontella was aware of units in the back of the store and by the commercial section. We walked all the way back, no luck. Luckily an opened box of the brand name I saw on Home Depot's site was under the commercial units. She offered $10 off a $49 unit and said I should hold on to the receipt in case there's a problem. DEAL! Home Depot leadership, please share my appreciation with her. Unfortunately I'm still having issues with Home Depot. You can find my review on here from January of 2025. My orders were lost, they refused to deliver my appliances over 3 times once on-site, Home Depot's delivery partners attempted to extort me for money under the table. Once I left that review, I did have someone from the executive team reach out to me to resolve that issue in the form ensuring my order was actually delivered and of a tiny fraction off the cost of the amount I paid for the appliances. However, I've had more issues recently, and while I've attempted to reach out to executive level for assistance, I was emailed back, "Online Executive Escalations team receives executive-level or higher internal case transfers and does not handle inbound customer support requests" before being told to reach out to customer service, which is completely useless and something I've tried to do many times. I placed my original cabinetry order in 2024. Due to dishonest contractors who abandoned my project and left my home in demo-stage (totally uninhabitable), I was unable to receive my order until about June of 2025 from Home Depot, as I had nowhere for it to go. This was not Home Depot's fault. However, now that I was able to receive the order and have it installed, we now see that we are missing components (large wood panels, at that) which I now have to pay for again, because the order is too old to honor the return/replacement policy. We are also unable to return pieces that were not used or that were ordered by the designer by mistake, due to the age of the order. Some glass pieces also came shattered, which took about 2 months to replace. I also want to make it clear that I don't keep "going back" to a place that handles business poorly. These are orders from one home project that have spanned over 2 years now, and just have yet to be resolved. The issues go on: The order expediter has ignored my emails and gives me 2-word responses when I send multiple questions that have now gone unanswered for over a month, I was told by the countertop factory rep that Home Depot keeps experiencing "IT" issues, so they're unsure how to tell me if my orders are actually confirmed or not, my counters have been backordered but I've not heard any updates from anyone despite my reaching out multiple times both to Home Depot and Countertop Factory through HD, they're seeing balances owed on my profile when I've paid in full 2024, I still don't know if the designer has found the missing panels that need to be re-ordered, I still don't know if my counter order is confirmed, I was charged for multiple cabinets and multiple sink installations but still not refunded. I also work in retail, and I understand that it can be difficult to provide customers with a resolution sometimes. But I really feel that no one has cared enough to even try and put a little effort in, even just as far as communication. The only person who has been sweet throughout is my designer, Marva. As far as I'm concerned, she's the one diamond they have at that location. There's only so much she can do for us without executive assistance. I strongly feel that due to the extenuating circumstances as well as the extremely poor experiences I've had at Home Depot since beginning these projects in 2024, they should be doing way more than a couple hundred dollars refunded. Especially with my orders that have been in the thousands. I'd like to see a better amount in compensation, to be able to return untouched components that were not needed, as well as the missing components of my orders being shipped to me at no additional charge. I've been ignored, forgotten, left to try to fix your errors on my own and have been extorted by your third-party services. Come on, Home Depot. Prove to me that you're going to make this right the way you should. As of Feb 7th, 2026 no one from Home Depot has reached out to me despite my opening a "ticket." The expediter J, finally said the missing glass panel was ready for pick up. She would not have told me it was there if I never continued to ask, and it's probably been there waiting. I went to customer service, told the woman there that I was picking up the last glass panel replacement for my cabinetry because J said it was ready. She asked if I had an order number and I said no [there was no order number as the store placed this on my behalf because they broke the original]. She laughed at me flat out and called J over the store phone to tell her I was here. On the phone J asked the lady, "what does he want" and she flatly repeated to me "what do you want?" in a rude tone, AS IF 1) I didn't just tell her what I was here for and 2) J didn't just email me to come in for the glass panel. They both made me feel humiliated even though I didn't cause any of this. J also never initiated the refund check I was owed, that I confirmed with her 3 weeks ago. Now I need to wait longer and have many other unresolved issues. read more

Very disappointed with this location. Went to this location on 8/20/24 to rent a Drain Cleaner. I wasn't able to fully use the drain cleaner due to cable being tangled. After taking the drain cleaner back to the Home Depot and trying to explain to one of the worker in the rental department, he refused to help me out. He was trying to say that we damaged the cable and trying to change us over $300 for it. I was very polite and asked for a manager. After 10-15min someone came over, but she wasn't a manager and not very helpful. Non of these workers have name tags and refused to give me their names. Very unprofessional. I will never shop at this location again. Very rude workers. I ended up paying $83.93 for a toll that I wasn't able to use. Very disappointed. read more

I've been going to this Home Depot since the mid to late 90s and have never had an issue with an employee. Finally had a really bad experience in the lighting and electrical department with Stanley. Extremely rude, basically pushed me out of the way with the ladder. I'm looking for bulbs but he came and imade me move to help someone else. Guess my money isn't good. I let him get his box. He opened it and left the ladder in the way. Then walked off. I called out to him and said I guess I'll do your job and moved the ladder. He then came back and I had to move because now he wanted to stock the shelves. At this point I said what is the problem and what's your name? He looked startled and didn't answer me. He was wearing a mechanics shirt with his name on it. The next time there's a situation like this I will cause a huge scene and will be extremely vocal. This is unacceptable rudeness and total disrespect. I should have told him to back up and wait until I was done shopping and maybe he would have got the hint or pick up on his behavior. If you go here stay away from the grumpy old guy, he's miserable and his life is too. This occurred on March 19th around 2-3pm. Check your cameras at the end of the light bulbs aisle and you'll see his actions. I would have complained in person. It didn't see the store manager today. I will bring it to his attention in the near future as soon as I see him at one of the locations. My money isn't as good as anyone else, especially with the amount I spend here on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Maybe time for retraining and etiquette classes. read more

Called in looking for dricore. Asked for the flooring dept. eventually I got Megan, and she was so helpful and offered to go and confirm they had what we needed for a 920 sq ft basement. She called me back to let me know they had what I needed and then some. Will be ordering this based on her excellent customer service. Later called and spoke to Evelyn and she helped me place my order for the 250 packs we needed for our basement. The fella who delivered the order on Friday was fantastic and called ahead of delivery to give me a 30 min notice. He called when he had his truck parked in the alley next to our garage and was quick to unload the 2 pallets of flooring. The fact I never had to order this online was great! I think this is the best Home Depot I've been to. They have a ton of stock, if I cant find what i need, I get it online pretty quickly . I just bought the best little dryer that kicks butt. By magic Chef for $159 on a special buy! Then last night I found a Hot Point washer for $136 ! I'm very grateful since my washer dryer just went caput. The staff is always nice, helpful and accomodating. Yes, some things there are expensive, but the other deals, shopping experience and great staff more than make up for it. North Avenue store in Chicago has completely unraveled. No one answers the phone when you call; you get transferred to several places, the phone rings and then you're back at the service desk. Just took my lunch hour to see someone to order one set of blinds after a measure earlier in the week; two people sitting there--0 motivation to do anything-claimed "someone is ahead of you." Worst customer service ever. My husband and I were loading up 15 bags of cement. Three workers walked past us without even offering to help. It wasn't until a female employee, who was get off work, offered to help. Then on four different occasions I asked for help loading materials into our truck. By the time someone moseyed on our we were nearly done. The last time I asked for help was before I started to check out and told the chance to please request help no because no one ever shows up. We checked out, I pulled my truck around, waiting a few minutes, and then my daughter and I loaded the eight 50lbs bags ourselves. Naturally the guy appeared for the last bag. Bought a $950 Samsung washer that was shaking all over the place 1 month in - Samsung refused to help and HD refused to take it back. FYI they do not accept returns on appliances after 48hrs!!! BUY FROM ABT! Had another ordered delivered where they left the items on the sidewalk (no phone ca or even a doorbell ring) and they were stollen. Bigger does NOT mean better, especially with this mega-Home Depot, the second largest in the Midwest and fifth largest in the U.S. Maybe it's too large and too out of control, and custom orders are NOT their forte. A custom order for a few doors went awry when I realized what I thought I signed off on was not what was on the ticket. Luckily, I found the error a week into the order and was allowed to change the order with the assistance of the ordering manager. The rest of this location is like a normal Home Depot on steroids. If you don't need custom work or installation done by Home Depot, this is a good place to find whatever you need. Piece of advice: The little hot dog/nachos vendor up at the front is terrific and cheap. Everyone raves about the beef and Polish hot dogs. read more

I came primarily in to match paint chips and they did a wonderful job in doing so, and providing further advice in which brushes and rollers would be optimal for small fixes. I have been a customer for many years and can't say anything but the best words for the Home Depot. It's like a store where men can go and browsing the aisles like how women go window shopping. With such a large selection, you'll probably find what you're looking for you. The staff are very knowledgeable with the merchandise they sell. They are always there to help. Their staff knows the quality of the products with different brands. Great for collecting information about the products that suit your needs. Very professional in delivering your items to your home got them right on time. The piece is not damaged and the same as what I have selected in their store. Overall, The Home Depot can be considered a top-notch hardware store in the city. As a regular customer, I am looking forward to purchasing more quality items in my following projects.
