I stopped by this Home Depot to pick up sod, but unfortunately what was available was in very poor condition: dry, patchy, and clearly not fresh. I asked the attendant at the garden door if it could be discounted because of the quality. She said she needed to check with a manager and walked inside. I continued shopping in the garden area and kept an eye out for her, but after 30 minutes she never returned or followed up. Rather than waste more time tracking someone down, I left and purchased my sod elsewhere. Customer service matters just as much as product quality. A simple update or follow-through should be expected. At the end of the day, a business is only as good as its weakest employee. read more

I find myself at the Coconut Creek Home Depot more often than I expected, and it's become our go-to spot for all of our home projects. They always seem to have a good selection of whatever we're looking for, from tools to paint to gardening supplies. My husband actually loves going there--it's almost like his version of a toy store. What I really appreciate is the staff. Every time I've needed help finding something or had a question about a product, there's been someone around who was friendly and willing to point me in the right direction. It makes shopping there a lot less stressful, especially when we're tackling projects I'm not as familiar with. Checkout is always quick, and their customer service desk is great whenever we've had to do a return or ask about an order. Between the helpful employees and the convenience of finding what we need in one place, it's an easy choice for us. I purchased a Cordless blind at the Home Depot but found that it was 1.5 inches too long for the window so I planned to return it but when I got to the store I was told that it could be cut to the size I needed......so I met with Billy, Luz and Sharon and they made my day......they were able to cut it to the size I needed......they knew exactly what they were doing....they were professional and they made my day.....thank you! when I was loading the 6' blind into my car, the young guy who works at Home Depot helped me load it into my car.....i always have good service at this Home Depot....the blind fits perfectly in the window! read more

This is one of the worst Home adepts I've 3ver been in. Probably 2nd worse next to the one in a Deerfield Beach but than all the South Florida HD's I've been to are a joke. Let's start with their inventory, which is a joke, 8 of the 9 items I saved in my cart that showed up as available were unavailable. Aisles are blocked off by carts stacked with merchandise and crap all over the floors. You can't go down some aisle because there's not enough room to push a cart with allthe stuff everywhere. Sales associates are of no help. The store is filthy. I used to live here for 10 years back in the early 2000's and it was good back then but a complete ****hole these days. Once again the home depot online ordering system fails! I ordered several items online and it showed that items would be delivered on different days. When I checked back, the ordering system stated that 3 items were delivered but nothing was!? Looking into the problem deeper, part of the online system stated that some items were delivered while another section showed that the order for some unknown reason was cancelled!!! I called the customer service center and was given a run-around! The agent could not explain the discrepancies. She finally decided that the order was cancelled due to nonpayment and told me to contact paypal for an explanation. This is not the first, third or 7th time I am having problems with the online system and incompetent service personnel at home depot. So I am giving up on this pathetic company and will be doing all my future purchases at Lowes, Harbor Freight or Ace Hardware!!!!!!! read more

I had to spend quite a bit of time in here this weekend doing some home improvements projects to get the house ready for an inspection. Customer service has been hard to come by never mind getting help with how to do a project. When I could flag an employee down they might know where something is but could offer no opinion as to which product might be better or the best way to clean a shingle roof. While the selection may be large I get better service at the mom and pop local hardware store. This store is best if you don't need help and know exactly what you want. read more

I came in this store, they did not have the key to make a copy of my car key. One of the worst experiences of my life!!! 3 different companies came to install one dishwasher and nobody installed it... We order a dishwasher with installation from Home Depot. They deliver it and then the guy there tells us that they can't install it because the hose was not long enough and we need to buy a longer one. Later we find out that this was complete bs, but we still bought a longer one just in case. We call back Home Depot to get another installation. Another team comes and tells us that they can't install with longer hoses and that we need to get a special team to do this. So now it's been one week since we ordered a dishwasher, the new one just sits in our kitchen, the old one doesn't work and nobody from Home Depot is willing to install it! Why are you even offering installation if you can't do it? They tried to organize 2 more installations and both times the installers refused to do it, even though we had all the parts as requested by HDs manager. read more

Being a handy guy and since being involved in the construction industry for 20 years, you could imagine I've been to many Home Depot locations and been to them many many times.... The location I frequent the most is located along Hillsboro Boulevard adjacent to Interstate 95.... great customer service but inventory is limited... not as in they never have product in stock but they are actually a smaller store (a mini-store if you will); so from time to time I have to go a bit further to one of the many full-sized locations. This is exactly what brought me to "THIS" location yesterday.... but I'll tell you about that experience in a moment... let me start from the beginning. MONTHS AGO Damn roof leak did a number on some walls in my home that needed some serious attention... I needed to purchase a variety of drywall materials to do these repairs, so I jumped into "THIS" location... my shopping list included a full sheet of Gypsum Board, a roll of Mesh Drywall Tape, a container of Joint Compound and a couple stripes of Drywall Corner Bead.... I'm not completely familiar with where everything is located... I walked to the area I thought these materials would be but with no luck I asked someone with an orange Home Depot shirt and was surprised that he didn't know and excused himself. My understanding is that ALL Home Depot employees are supposed to know where all general products are located... but this one didn't. I found everything on my list (ON MY OWN) and just excused this disappointing customer service as a one-time thing; hopefully a single event for a bad day he was having. YESTERDAY So my walls are repaired and I'm onto a couple new projects... I jumped into the Deerfield Beach store for some Rubber Screw-On Bumpers (to protect the base of my patio chairs) but again the selection was limited and I once again had to go to a larger store... and here I am "AGAIN" at "THIS" location. Like other locations, there was a door greeter as I walked in BUT she did not say hi or even acknowledge me; whatever. I grabbed my Bumpers and before leaving I figured my lawn and garden could use some fertilizer, so I exited outside to their garden department. I grabbed a bag of lawn fertilizer but the bags of 10-10-10 for my shrubs had no prices posted. I walked over to the garden center checkout registers (where there were no customers at the moment) and there were two female employees laughing and chatting about something... as a store guests obviously standing there for a reason, the two girls should have dropped their chit chat and asked what they could do for me... but nope, they didn't do that right away. When I interrupted, one girl walked away and I asked the other one if she knew the price of the 10-10-10 since the price is not posted. Her reply, "NO".... no offer to get it, no offer to tell me where to get it, no explanation such as bring bag to her for scan... just "NO"... I walked away and saw another Home Depot employee... she was in the middle of talking to another shopper and I was a bit perplexed by her tone with him. He wanted a fertilizer with a specific use and she was kind of reprimanding him about mishandling his trees, "you're killing them" and "you're doing it all wrong". Regardless, I just wanted a price so I stood far enough back to give them space but close enough that I obviously needed assistance.... I'm patient and after a few minutes she says lets talk inside... no recognition that she'd be back to me, no give me a moment, no acknowledgement at all (why does this feel so familiar?). I started to leave but saw her free up a moment later so I asked her if she knew the price I still needed for 10-10-10... she said she could scan it and began to ask my use and why that one... I know she was trying to share her knowledge but I knew what I needed and didn't want to be reprimanded but I'd be lying if I didn't say she spoke a bit condescending... shocking since she doesn't know me or know my skills. I grabbed my bags and moved on... I returned to the same checkout girl that was un-helpful earlier. As she went to scan my bumpers and fertilizers bags I asked if she had more plastic or paper liner (they normally have rolls to lay down in your truck to avoid making a mess but I noticed the roll was empty).... Again she was short with her reply with "NO"... I reply "no, as in you are out or no you don't do that anymore"... she didn't really answer... she continued to keep it short with "we don't have"... the bags were dirty and I have a clean car so I left them behind.... I was so annoyed that I just wanted to leave... but truthfully I regret not asking for a manager. I'm not saying this store is all bad but my last two experiences were and this review reflects just that. I just hope the manager is better than this... What happened to Home Depot's customer service? I was looking for an item. There were Home Depot floor employees that either would not make eye contact, or was on their phone or would turn away the opposite direction. About ten employees actually. I finally was able to ask four employees at four different times where the item would be located, and all of them said they didn't know. One said to try an isle however he wasn't sure of it would be over there. They use to look it up or walk you over? I saw so many employees either hanging out with each other or roaming around without a care. Frustrating to say the least. read more

Sadly, it's the typical experience that I've had at most Home Depots; so much inventory with not enough associates around to help you out. The lack of available help seems to be more consistent at this particular store though. A pet peeve of mine, and I know it's personal, is that they offer a Veteran's Discount to only active, disabled or retired. I don't like that you get to claim you help Veterans but then are selective. Lowe's gives a military discount to ALL veterans. But I am not bitter..lol.. I still go there when I need something under $20. read more

Back when I just bought my home I was visiting pretty much every hardware store in the city. I do have two other Home Depot closer to me but sometimes I like to come to this one because it is a little neater and less crowded in my opinion. Also it is not that far of a ride for me. Then don't necessarily carry different things it's just a little easier for me to navigate and I do think people are nicer. The parking lot is also less trafficked at least it is at the times I choose to come. On this particular occasion I came to get a couple of copies of my house key, and also some fertilizer for my bushes. Everything was very easy to find and I was so glad when I didn't have to wait half an hour to get someone to help me with the keys, which is always the case at the Coral Springs store. I also don't ever remember a time when I had to stand on and endless lines at the checkout counter. I haven't come to return or exchange anything at this store. I don't know how that aspect of it is ,that is why I am not giving them five stars. I find that often times it's the most difficult part on these sorts of places. How they handle their customer service is a big part of the experience as a whole . But so far, this is by far the best Home Depot I have ever visited read more

We were in need of a new fridge after our POS LG French Door Refrigerator went bad on its sixth birthday. ( DONT BUY LG ). We met with Jamie and wanted a Gallery unit that was not currently in-stock or available on floor. Jamie took the time to explain the benefits of unit and answered a couple calls from wife prior to purchase and our store visit. Unit was paid for quickly and we were off for other needs. HD delivered the unit as described and help setup while I was at the office. They offer extended warranty and Jamie made sure the connections were new and updated properly before we left. They, HD, carted away the older unit and all was done. While you don't relish replacing a unit that failed so quickly at this price point, Jamie and HD made this replacement reasonable. Home Depot warranty is terrible!! Don't buy it, waste of time and no help at all. I never buy a warranty however 4 years ago I bought one for my lg refrigerator. Mid May called in for warranty to repair the ice maker. Repair tech came to troubleshoot and determined it needed new ice maker on the door. He ordered one for next week. Tech comes back with wrong ice maker!! Ok so now he orders correct one comes back the next week installs it. Guess what ice maker is still not functioning. Same tech come back the following week to diagnose the issue comes up with same issue ice maker on door not working. Orders another ice maker, guess what he orders the wrong ice maker again. So now I call Home Depot warranty department to do lemon law on the refrigerator and they will not honor it. It says in their warranty that if it's not fixed for same issue by the third time they would reimburse the money to replace the refrigerator. Well this is the third time they came not my fault they order the wrong part and wasted my time. I usually skip purchasing warranties because I know it's a waste of time and they don't honor their warranty! How many times does it take to fix an ice maker. I been without an ice maker since middle of May!! Don't buy from Home Depot their warranty is a scam!!! read more

WORST DELIVERY SERVICE EVER!!! My husband put an order in to have a pallet of rocks delivered to us even paying extra for a signature when delivered. I stayed home waiting for the delivery with a window to deliver between 9-6. Around 10 AM my husband gets a text message from Home Depot saying our rocks had been delivered! He text me to ask if they had and I told him no they did not come yet. He tells me they told him they were delivered and signed for!!!! He's at work and ended up spending hours on the phone between waiting for them to call him back insisting they delivered the pallet of rocks and a lady signed for them! He didn't have his lunch break because he was trying to get this mess taken care of. My husband after work went to Home Depot to customer service and was told the rocks were delivered and signed for. He asked to speak to the manager, manager told him the same! Finally a young man who worked there went in the back to check and came out and told my husband the rocks were in the back and were never put on the truck for delivery! I have heard all kinds of very bad reviews from people about Home Depot's delivery incompetency. They need to stop subcontracting their delivery services out and hire dependable people to do this job right! read more

Ordered more than $2000 in window blinds in December. They were installed in a timely manner. The measures were not correct at time of installation. It took more bv than a month to get the correct blinds however one still had a measurements and had to be reordered. That blind was finally installed on April 25th 2021. The installer said it was Home Depot's problem and it took me complaining to the store managers 3 times to finely get the job completed. In talking with the person with the installer office I feel the errors are made by the installer contact. She never returned calls and even put a message on her phone number saying the number was no longer in service. Really strange. read more

Home Depot is a great place to find whatever you may need to do some remodeling or simple home repairs. I've always found the staff to be helpful and friendly and they have a great return policy so if it doesn't work, you can bring it back. I came to Home Depot to find an obscure bus fuse for my A/C compressor unit, but I've been here many times. After asking one of the helpful associates I found what I needed quickly. The associate also took the time to explain a little more about the problem I was having and the product I was buying. I know some reviewers are not happy with this location but I always seem to have a good experience with few exceptions. Overall I give Home Depot 4 stars as a great place to go for home improvement items. read more

Once could be a mistake but five times with six different products has to be on purpose. The price difference is always in their favor. I even had a return of an item from another home depot and they wanted to give me less even though I showed them the on line price. It's always the same thing, the cashier knows nothing about it and after waiting a long time for a manager you take what they give and loose out on five dollars. There is something wrong about this store. My latest was Vigor marble chips at 6.98 a bag. Every other store and on line have it at 4.30 a bag. I lost over 20 bucks on a 10 bag purchase. Went to your coconut creek store yesterday, 6356. I am handicapped and have a great deal of difficulty walking. Went to entrance. No motorized carts were at entrance. Asked 1 of your associates if carts were no longer available. Was told they were down at the EXIT doors. Now is that smart? So, I had to walk back out to my car, in pain from walking. Once I got in my car, decided that I wasn't going to shop in a store where someone made, and I'm trying to not be too insulting, an idiotic decision to place carts for handicapped people who obviously have mobility issues at the EXIT of your store.
