    We drove from DC to come to this location because of Jim (in kitchen design). He took his time, explained our options, and provided us with the best service we've received in a Home Depot in ages! If you're looking for help with redesigning/designing your kitchen, make sure you go to Jim!

    Everyone makes mistakes but if the order is incorrect, at least own up to it and stop hanging up on customers who need a refund.

One word for that: egads! We did a frantic online search to find appliances, and stumbled upon Appliance Land Etc. The Appliance Land website didn't show many details about specific appliances in inventory, but we went anyway, trying to avoid the big box stores if possible. They had a great selection, but really only one in the size that we wanted (30"W 66"H 30"D) but it matched exactly what we were looking for. Dennis was amazingly helpful and awesome. He checked the inventory and saw that he had last year's model of a fridge in the size that we needed. He offered us that model for about $50 off the normal retail since it was a floor model. Turns out, the inventory was wrong and the model on the floor was the 2015 model. He offered us the same discount on the fridge, and we're having it delivered for free on Tuesday. I'll write an update to my review after the delivery. They offer haul-away for $20 and they will recycle it. A couple of notes, we found the same model fridge at either Lowes or Home Depot, and it was the same retail price. We chose to support small business. Dennis also gave us some good advice on microwaves and how easy it is to install them in lieu of a vent. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone shopping for appliances. We're looking to redo our kitchen in a year or so, and we'll definitely be visiting these guys when we shop for appliances.

    I am extremely angry with ALCO's person who managed their calls (Jason?). My fridge stopped working…read moreon July 2, and we called them because they provided services before. As directed, we left a message, but they did not call back before the July 4th holiday, so we called on July 5th, and they said the earliest they could come was a week after. We subsequently called them several times but could not get anyone. Now nearly 10 days have passed since the fridge broke down; we called again to ask what time they were coming, and finally someone answered the phone, asked the fridge model, then told us they no longer work on this model. I told the guy we didn't have to wait 10 days to be told they no longer do the work, and Jason said it was our fault because we hadn't given them the model number. I said if they ever returned our calls, they would probably have found out. In addition, is it their responsibility to ensure what the customer has before they had even promised to send out a technician?

I had been in need of something to use as a tv stand, stand-in in my living room space. I was using an end table for the time being and I knew that wouldn't cut it in the long run. I had stopped here previously and saw an item I thought would have been perfect. But, with it being so large, and me being only me, I wouldn't be able to move this unless I had some help. With a call out to family, I knew I would still be too late for that item. See, the one thing I do not like about these places is that if you purchase, you have a set amount of time to pick it up and take it home. I know I would not be able to secure that item. But, when the cavalry arrived, I was set to go here and make a purchase, even if it wasn't for the item I was hoping for. I am kind of glad that I didn't get that item, because looking back now, it would not have fit in my apartment in the least. I am happy with the two items that I did end up purchasing. For less than $40 I came home with two items, even if I did have to make two trips. I came on a good day here. One thing to keep in mind is check out what tags are discounted even more. One tag will be 75% off and others will be about 40% off. I can confirm that the prices here are outrageous. If it wasn't for the discounted pricing that day, I would have spent close to $250. I did get a deep discount, but if I would have come another day, it would have been a different story. Biggest complaint here, is that when they receive new, unopened items, they really do overprice them. They really go out of their way to make it unobtainable just to keep you coming back.
