We had called to see if they replace screen for our screen door and when we were told yes we went to the store and was told that they do not replace the screen. Home depot is a great store for those that are DYI. They even honor our military active duty members and veterans, to a degree. I wanted to let my friends know that home depot is making a concerted effort to discriminate against the standard class of military veteran. In order to partake in their benefit they offer one has to fit certain stipulations of military service. Those classifications are as follows. (national guard is acceptable as well) 1. You must have retired from the military or 2. You must be active duty military or 3. You must be a disabled military veteran or 4. You must be a dependent of a military veteran or active duty. So the question that begs is what about those people that served their country did a few tours and resigned their commission or did not decide to re-enlist? This class of military veteran is not issued a federal id card. Rather we are issued a DD-214. I carry mine pretty much where ever I go. Because we do not fall in to that classification for qualification 365 days of the year, Unlike the kid that holds a dependent id card. We are not allowed to partake in this benefit. We are in turn offered three days a year. I spoke to one of the managers in the store. She was extremely nice and was more than willing to make a onetime exception. I thanked her and declined because that would be trying to sweep the issue under the rug. I assured her that I knew it was not fault of her stores or her staffs and I was completely cognizant that is was a corporate policy. However, she was not willing to answer, or rather could not answer why HD discriminates against a certain class of military veteran. I called the 1800 HD customer care line as well. The service received there was more than outstanding a well. She did state that this is a common call. There are two ways home depot can figure this out. They can honor those that served in some manner but do not meet the federal qualification for pension or pay from the military. Or, they cannot offer the benefit to any military veteran at all. So to recap: The service at Home depot is great The product at home depot is great (with some exceptions like manufacturing quality, but that is out of HD control). The 1800 HD number service has always been great The fact that HD discriminates against the most common form of veteran is not so great by any means. The Home Depot - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Dacula, Georgia

I bought a lawn mower from home Depot a year ago and it was not cheap, it was over 600.00. I had to take it in for service over 2 months ago. In which they ship it off for repair. For two weeks I have been calling and NO ONE can tell me where my lawn mower is. When I call for an update I am told we are busy and we will call you back in a few mins. I am a customer as well so what I don't matter all because I am calling in. Well 4 hours later NO return call. I call back and they tell me it is in transit. This has been going for over two weeks and NO one will call me back or tell me where my lawn mower is except in transit (what did you ship it to out of the country for repair). I have to call in a couple times a day just to get someone to talk to me. What does that matter I am told the same BS every time I do call. When I called today I was told to call a 1-855 number if I wanted any help. I will find a way to get a hold of the corporate office and report John and Adam the managers of the store who refused to help me. This has been the worst experience with Home Depot. I wouldn't even give this a 1 star but I don't have a choice. I would find someone else to handle your repairs. STAY AWAY. I honestly don't even want to purchase anything from HOME DEPOT again after this. It is obvious you don't care about your customers. read more

I recently placed an online order at this location that online said they had 29 in stock because my local Home Depot was out of stock. I drove there the next day to pick it up which was about an hour out of the way and they said they didn't have any in stock and they had already refunded my money. She said they "usually" call to let the customer know. Beware before driving to pick up an online order you should call before wasting your time if they don't have it in stock regardless of what online inventory shows. Now I have to drive to another Home Depot another hour away in the wrong direction of my house to hopefully pick up the item there. read more

I have been in this store several times over the past year and the customer service is simply outstanding. Every store clerk that I talk to is able to answer my questions. If they are not able to, they ask someone else. Most times the clerks actually take me to the area I was trying to find. They are friendly and courteous, always pleasant. I am very disappointed with the service that we got from this Home Depot. We just purchased our home and wanted to change all the carpet in our home. We went into the store 2 weeks ago and set up an appt for measuring today 11/5. We requested for the earliest appt since my husband has to travel to the airport 1 hour away to pick me up from a business trip at mid afternoon. Larry the associate at the time explained that we were the only clients set for the date and we should have no issues requesting for an early appt. He said that he would make a note for us to be scheduled for the earliest appt time. He also explained that the outsourced measuring company Custom Flooring and Install would call us between 7-9 to give us our appt time. Super excited for today as its gets us one step closer to perfecting our home. When we got the call from Custom Flooring and Install not only did they give us an afternoon appt 1:30 to 2:30 my husband was upset because we requested an early appt and explained this to them, they would not work with us and suggested that we cancel the appt. UNACCEPTABLE!!!. So my husband then asked to speak to a manager which to my husbands surprise was transferred back to Home Depot!!! WHAT!!! Neither my husband or the store associate Larry (again same associate) knew that call was being transferred back to them. At this point was husband was so livid because Larry didn't even know what thee call was in reference tooo... He quickly remember my husband since he did help us and was very surprised at thet service we got. So my husband went to the store to speak to a manager and got an assistant store Manager Terrance. My husband explained again the issue and to my husbands surprise she has no power to rectify the situation. What kind of business do you guys run where an assistant store Manager has NO POWER... This was the first time purchasing or an attempt to purchase carpet and made it the worst experience. Super unprofessional!!! Please if you want to avoid this horrible experience DO NOT purchase with Home Depot for your carpet needs or hopefully they can attend a class on customer service and how to make your customer happy. So we did what any reasonable person would do we went to Lowes and got the respect and attention that we needed and deserved. So Home Depot but you failed your customer HORRIBLY!! read more

I want to thank David from the paint department for his excellent service. I recently had work done on the exterior of my house, and the contractor painted the repaired area with different color. I had it with him so I took a small piece of the siding and took it to Home Depot. David matched the color and recommended a certain type of paint for my purposes because I know nothing about paint. But I guess whatever he had in mind was out of stock. He brought me a paint that's a grade higher and took me to the cashier personally to give me a discount to match the price of the paint he originally recommended. I wouldn't have known the difference, but this man has integrity! Once I came home and finished painting my house, I was impressed again because it matched perfectly with the rest of the house. I also bought a garbage disposal in the same trip, and Rod gave me a tutorial on how to install it, and I was able to do it myself. Such friendly people that go above and beyond.
