    I got 6 acera palms for 9.97 and the best part is that the garden center messed up the palms. The palms that where on sale was the majesty palms but i think someone messed up and thought all palms are majesty palms it was a great deal for me because usually acera palms goes for $40-$60 but when i scammed the barcode it gave me the majesty palms price! I wonder if they figured out they put the wrong palms for sale

I didn't expect that level of service by a greeter but hey, I liked it. I told him I was shopping for a new A/V receiver as my old one bit the bullet. He effectively guided me to the right section of the store and we went on our merry way. I unfortunately was taken aback by the lack of product on display and it looked like they were using their retail space like a warehouse. cardboard boxes everywhere. I understand buying patterns have changed over the years and especially after the pandemic, but the place just looked a little disheveled. Kind of like me after a tough day at work. I'm still me but a bit worn and I'll need a little time to freshen up. The product that I wanted to take a closer look at was out of stock (shame on me, because I did a little research beforehand on their website and could have easily seen that this location didn't have any left). Disappointed, I started to walk away when two employees came up to us, asking if we needed help and one of them, Tristen, immediately took charge and looked up to see if they possibly had one. They didn't but he offered to place the order and have my purchase delivered the next day free of charge. Done! I know in this day and age that the next-day free delivery thing is commonplace, but that's not what struck me, it was the way in which we were treated. Quick, courteous, friendly, on-point, and effective. By the way, I just installed the a/v receiver which was delivered as promised.

I have two houses, in Illinois and Florida. I've been a customer for decades, spending tens of thousands in both states. Recently I took out a Best Buy credit card in order to save a hundred $ or so. My bill was delayed due to the USPS exceptionally slow mail forwarding system, from one state to another. This bill included a $26.99 late fee. Rather than waiving the fee at that time, I was told by Best Buy to pay it and they'd send a refund check, or alternatively, I could make a purchase and receive a store credit. Just to get it over with, I used the store credit to buy an ink cartridge, which I didn't really need. Later, I received a refund check. I immediately called and told them I already used the credit for a purchase. I was then told to cash the check and I'd receive another bill in the amount of the refund check. I eventually did get the $26.99 statement, and paid it, but through a comedy of errors, a week late because I was out of town again. Now I received another bill for $26.99, which was already paid, PLUS $28.99 for late fee interest, which was MORE than the original late fee. I have never been late for any Best Buy purchase other than this, which was largely the result of my being given the convoluted options. Despite this obvious confusion and my otherwise unblemished payment history they refuse to waive this unearned fee. This is bad business. Best Buy will get their $28.99 "late fee," competing businesses will get my future purchases of often high-end items.

    This is my second time purchasing a gun safe from…read moreHome-depot. The delivery was unpleasant with one guy having a poor attitude about bringing the safe into the entry way which I paid extra for. Once delivered the safe was still left bolted to the pallet the one mover said they do not do that which ok but defeats the purpose of paying extra to bring it into my home. Once we unpacked the safe we noticed a sizable dent and paint peeling on the front so we called to have it picked up and refunded. I called Home Depot customer service and was told I had to contact the manufacturer directly as they don't do returns themselves. So I called the manufacturer directly and was told that Home Depot has to do the return. So I called Home Depot again and they said they can pick up the safe and refund the money. We received the case number and was informed that it would be picked up today from 10am-2pm and no one showed. I called Home Depot a little after 2pm and informed them no one showed to pick up the safe and was offered a $100 refund to keep the damaged safe which costs me $1,500 and some change. I said no obviously. I was put on hold for about 20 minutes and then the the call either disconnected or Home Depot ended the call after giving the gentleman my information I didn't receive a call back or anything This is my third attempt now to get the safe properly removed from my home and refunded. If I could give ZERO stars I would I have been dealing with this for 5 days now and the incompetence is mind blowing. It appears that Home Depot doesn't care about any customer service whatsoever and whoever they use for deliveries is a joke. Sorry for the long winded explanation but I will not be shopping at Home Depot ever again anyone reading this highly advise going to Lowe's at-least there any issues I had were resolved in a professional and timely fashion.

We were looking for shade flowers, finding the selection overwhelming we asked for assistance. A young woman in gardening named Emily (big shot out to her) offered to assist us. Emily, stayed with us the entire time (30 or more minutes) making sure we purchased everything we needed. What Emily didn't know she would run and ask her manager. I hope Home Depot realizes what a great employee Emily is.

Well, we call to confirm the day we moved in on the time they'll be there and he tells us they suddenly do not have the mattress we chose in stock at the store, but that we'll get the frame and need to wait on the mattress a week or two. I calmly explained that being 8 months pregnant I surely will not be sleeping on a floor and after he told me we should take our business elsewhere and cut ties with Aaron's, cursed at me, and eventually my 8 month pregnant emotional self started crying, I asked him if he had a wife. He does and I said would you want your 8 month pregnant wife sleeping on a floor because something you paid for failed to come through and you were then told it would have to wait 2 weeks? He said He would take his wife and go stay in a hotel until the bed came, but continued to say don't I dare talk about his wife and his family. I told him Well, are you going to pay the 1200+ dollars for us to sleep in a hotel because what we paid for at your store won't be here? Of course he said no and hung up on me. My fiance calls back and Howard says I'm a liar and that he never said any of this and that I degraded his wife by what I said, so he stuck up for his family. (WHAT?) Suddenly... when my fiance calls back a few minutes later THEY HAVE OUR BED!!! Several months later after receiving all of our stuff and paying for it our TV bulb burns out. I call and tell them it needs to be replaced and Howard once again says they have to order it and I will be without a TV for a week or two. I said Umm... alright. I let my fiance know and he then calls. He tells Howard they need to send something we can use for the time being till the bulb comes in because we are paying for it and Howard once again says I'm lying and that he never said we'd have to be without a tv for a week or two. When the bulb came I was at home waiting on them to show up with my fiance. The guy called my phone which it rang twice and I figured he was here so I ran up to the lobby to let him in, but he wasn't there. While my fiance called the store back I listened to my voice-mail which was from Dominic. Dominic proceeded to leave on my voice-mail, that I need to pick up my God damn phone because his guys don't have all day to be waiting on us. When the guy was let in I asked him how long he had been waiting... He says, "Not even 3 minutes, I parked in the wrong parking lot on accident." My fiance calls Dominic back and Dominic says he never left that on my voice-mail and that my fiance needs to apologize to him. I had the voice-mail saved. My fiance, myself, and their very own guy heard Dominic say that on my phone. Since all this has happened, Howard has been replaced along with every other employee in that store! Now, we are ready for our furniture to be picked up and last Friday they never showed up so we called at 6:05PM and said you guys are going to have to come next week, because it is now getting really late. The girl on the phone said Wayne the GM would call us back with the day. Mind you we wanted to steer clear of making another payment, so we called over a week ahead. Wayne never called us back. Now just yesterday they charged our bank account $245.00. We called to tell them they need to refund our money and pick up their stuff which we've been waiting on them to do for over a week now. They say they will refund it all, but it will take 5-7 days... and they will be here between 10am-12pm to pick up their stuff today August 17, 2013. I have waited all morning for them or for a call to let us know what is going on and they still at 12:30 have not called or shown up. We will NEVER do business with Aaron's again...EVER and we surely will NOT recommend this location to ANYONE. I do not know how other locations are or how they treat their customers, but this location in particular should really consider closing it's doors. I would guess by how badly Howard and Dominic in particular ran this location, whomever takes over now will NEVER be able to mend the complete and utter disgust those two have caused. There are many customers in this area alone who will never step foot in that store again! Wayne (new GM at Aaron's Elgin) call your customers back and be aware of what is going on in your store or stop while you're at it! This store will eventually fail...

My contractor started laying the flooring with the most boxes. Later than day, I saw the flooring and it looked beautiful! However it was not the color I had ordered. I went to Menards and explained the problem. They were apologetic for the mistake made everything right. They came and swapped out the 7 boxes for the new color. I was so happy. Their mistake actually worked in my favor. The color I ordered would have been fine but the new color really brightens the house. A shout to Dither, the manager of the pick up department and all the people who listened to my odd story and made things right. I will be back!

    this location has a customer service problem. i came in to buy a vacuum breaker repair kit. i found…read moreit and walked around before leaving the store. i found a roku stick on sale and was about to look at the product further when i heard an associate ask me if i needed assistance. i initially did not respond because i did not think he was talking to me. i glance over in the direction of the question to see an associate down the aisle standing there looking in my direction. i replied by saying "no, i'm good. thanks" and waved him off, then i turned back to look at the roku stick. i had not moved when i noticed movement to my right and notice the same associate was walking toward me. i turned my head to respond again when i watched him walk directly in front of me and stood between me and the roku stick. he did not say anything to me or acknowledge i was standing there, even though i was a foot or two from the shelf. i walked away without getting his information, felling disappointed at his treatment. i circled back to see if i can see his name tag but he was standing where i left him fiddling with something on the shelf. i immediately went to pay for my vacuum breaker repair kit and go to the customer service desk to report the associate. i am disappoint at the associate's treatment but am more disappointed at the store management for still employing him. but reading more reviews of this location, i see customer services has been an issue way before my experience. after many years of coming to this location, i doubt i will return. there are many other stores in the area that will generally leave me alone and not make me feel unwelcome.
