There are a lot of negative reviews here, but my experiences at this Home Depot have continued to be excellent. Whether I shop in person, or online for pickup or delivery, I'm always happy with the transaction, and the help I receive (when needed). Speaking of delivery, I don't know how long it's been going on, nor what items qualify, but recently I've discovered that the items I am looking for qualify for free, same day home delivery. I'm embarrassed to admit, I've taken good advantage of that, even though sometimes it's just for a single, small ($10) item. They'll probably do something eventually to change this, but I'm loving it as long as it lasts! read more

We normally love Home Depot. On 7/20/26, we had the worst delivery driver named Rafia. He was extremely rude, condescending, and had sharp resposes to our questions. Even after we tried to make small talk to ease the tension he brought into our home. He was brash and very unfriendly. He was very aggressive with the install of 2 appliances, broke a piece of our baseboard, and left black stains on our new kitchen floor. Thank goodness the stains came off. He snapped at us and said that it's not on me to clean up, it's on you. It was an awful experience. The crew left all the blue tape and plastic in the refridgerator and almost didn't complete the dishwasher install until he finally noticed a screw needing to be removed and we saw the door not closeing properly. Rafia was even treating his co worker with distainment. He truly needs training in customer service and communication skills! read more

Right now, all my expenses are for improvement especially my backyard. I will say, I emailed the store for cabinets and no response. It's been two weeks. I had an amazing employee get them onto the cart so I could buy them (I didn't get your name) & then after purchase, TC & Jude loaded these monsters into my pick-up truck. I will not ever grace the portals of this location again as long as I have sufficient cognition. The customer service is a joke. My husband and I had asked for help we never received. Then at checkout one of the ladies argued that she saw 3 people "on aisle 20 so they did come." When I told her we were not on that aisle but were on aisle 22, she then alleged she saw one of the helpers come up aisle 22 to go to aisle 20-as if we saw him/her and we're supposed to flag them down. There was no one there. Typical and common sense customer service would come down an aisle they're sent to and ask if anyone asked for assistance. This further confirms that if the person had come down our aisle like she alleged, they were still called to another location and her covering up for them shows her lack of professionalism as well. A leader is only as good as their employees are. And every time I have come to this store location over the past three years. It has always been a challenge to get help when needed. There are some people who are willing to help you but others act like it is a bother. Home Depot was once considered one of the top employers. I'm sure it's not anymore if they don't value their customers. It goes to tell a lot about the management. Most of the time the excellent ASSISTANCE I've received is at checkout. Do not use their home services for your remodeling projects! From when I signed the contract to completion was 5 months for a kitchen remodel. They delayed the project twice, switched project managers without notifying me, and as others have said, the communication is horrible. Hiring an independent contractor would be cheaper and less stressful. Make no mistake, you are not a priority to Home Depot. Once they get your money, they'll get to your project when it's convenient for them. They expect you to get your own appliance installers, electricians, and take no responsibility for mistakes they make. Also, Home Depot feels that electrical outlets without the covers is a finished product. They'll take them off, but won't put them back on. What a joke! read more

Do not purchase appliances from Home Depot and definitely do not use their installation services. Have had a horrible experience and had to hire another company to come finish the job. They don't show for appointments, cancel appointments for no reason and their customer service is horrible. After the latest debacle the customer service rep's answer to a missed appointment was to wish me luck. No sense of urgency, and no taking responsibility for their mistakes. read more

We had an appointment scheduled with a specialist at 5:45pm to discuss window shutters. We arrived on time to find his desk area empty. A few minutes later another Home Depot employee asked us if we needed help and of course we told him we had an appointment scheduled with a specialist. The employee said "I just saw the specialist walk in the break room, he should be with you in the next 10-15 minutes. I'll let him know you are waiting." We waited a total of 25 minutes and he never showed up. We had our 2 young kids with us and simply could not wait any longer. I would expect an employee to have the decency to ask to reschedule if his break time conflicted with our appointment. Or at least an apology when he realized he missed our appointment (we left a note at his desk). We were really disappointed in the service and will not be choosing Home Depot for our next project. read more

I have been here three times in the last two months and all three times I have waited over 20 minutes for someone to come and cut wood. First time the only person who can cut wood was on lunch. Second time I have no idea why it took so long. Lots of workers walking around and paged multiple times. The third time they didn't have anyone who could cut wood. Finally the manager came over and did it after 30 minutes and having to ask twice for help. This store needs help. Nobody even asks if you need help anymore to busy gossiping amongst themselves. read more

Stood around for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come unlock the Phillips lightbulbs that are locked up for some reason?? Was passed on from employee to employee since nobody could unlock it. Rude employees, chronically out of stock. Prices used to be more competitive, but not so much now. For a period of a few months, it appeared that someone was trying to address the employee rudeness, because the employees became over the top "dentist friendly." But it was short lived. And even then, if they offered to help and you took them up on it, they'd usually offer to "call someone" who could help you. House brand products are typically of poor quality. I live near HD, so sometimes I still go in there because it's conveniently located. But it still saps my spirit and I go to the other place if I have time. read more

We stopped at this Home Depot while doing some errands. We had a return to do and their customer service area was super nice. It's sectioned off from the regular area with multiple stations. It took about five minutes for someone to be available to help us, but once we were with them it was maybe thirty seconds to get everything taken care of. We went to the garden section as well to browse some plants and picked up lemon cucumber, cilantro and a cute variety of tomatoes as well as a free milkweed plant they were giving away for Earth Day (4/22)- save the butterflies! Complete turn around. For the lawn and garden department. Stopped to get mulch on sale. I recently had surgery and cannot lift more than 10 pounds. Thought this would be a problem. While I typically prefer the competition, I've stopped by this Home Depot many dozens of times over the years. These days, the main reason I still come here is to browse the garden section. I love succulents, and I've found a few good ones here. To the best of my knowledge, they carried more rainbow cacti this year than anyone else in town did. They have really good sales in the garden center sometimes, especially on holiday weekends during spring and summer. Look for different colored price tags at the end of summer to find some great deals on ceramic and terra cotta planters. The plants that I buy here tend to fare well. Not as well as the ones I buy from the nurseries, but far better than Wal-Mart, for example. Cleanliness is average. The customer service is slightly better than the competition. Other than the garden center, I'm not a huge fan of their product selection. I feel that the competition curates better products, in general. read more

We went in looking for plants. Found one that we were looking for but unfortunately it has broken stems and it looked to be dying. We asked an employee if they offered discounts, he said no but to just grab any other plant and they'll let us have that one since they were just going to throw it away anyway. He told the lady who would be at the register. Youd think that everything would be okay, right? Wrong. Within 15 minutes elizabeth forgot the entire conversation and had to call over another guy for clarification. He was not filled in and said he'd give us 10% off. Funny because the other guy said they weren't allowed to? Once we declined they both started getting demeaning about how their price is "already better than green acres down the street" it's not and I should be lucky that they'd give a discount because it's not COMPLETELY DEAD. 0 stars, won't be back simply because of their attitudes and not having one set policy. read more

This store is great at providing product but this review is for the lack of lighting in the parking lot. It is pitch black from 7 pm until the store closes. It is not safe for women, customers or drivers as no one can be seen. I would hate for someone to get mugged, hit or trip due to lack of lighting in the parking lot. There are lights in the lot but not one was on. Why? There's no excuse for not making sure your customers and workers are safe on the premises. It's brighter at Chik Filet. read more

As a HD Pro, I get excellent service from the team behind the Pro Desk at Folsom HD...they take care of my orders and deliveries and ensure my projects keep moving forward material wise. Today I had excellent service from Jerry. He is not a Pro Desk team member and he had no idea I needed to rush materials back to a job site. I saw there was supposed to be stock of remodel can housings and he made every effort to get them for me as quickly as possible. I think the housings were in the most difficult place to reach in the store (seems odd that their was a gaping hole on the shelf and they had not been restocked) and Jerry took all the steps necessary to get them for me with a smile. Many employees would have complained...but not him. I had to hustle my $400 worth of materials back to the job site, but without his help I would have had to go to another store. Under Normal Circumstances, Home Depot on E. Bidwell is usually my go-to place as they have most of the items I need with spectacular help from their employees, I've been coming here for years, as I'm a Folsom local for more than 20 years, However today, Sunday the 3rd, was unfortunatly a different experience, I know most people who read reviews want us to keep it short and to the point so that's what ill do for the miserable experience I had today..... At around 2:00PM, I walked in with 3 things on my mind, light bulbs, and interest in re-doing my fence, after collecting the bulbs I needed I headed over to the paint section where I encountered "Paul", a supposed ASSISTANT MANAGER for the store. Even before I said a word to this individual, he looked like he was already in a bad mood, which is understandable, everyone has their days including myself, but he took it to the next level today, I asked him and another employee standing next to him if they knew where I could find some Paint for a project I wanted to take on with my home fence, he and the employee who was (just an accessory at this point which I won't really mind about) handed me this brochure and told me I could basically go and help myself find what I needed. * For Context* .....Ive never handled paint or bought any type of paint before in my life so im pretty new to all of it, hence why I asked if they could possibly show me where and what I could purchase. I then responded, "Is this the best that you could help me with today?" Paul, a so-called "Assistant Manager" completely EXPLODES, and when I say explode, I mean he basically loses it and accuses me of being "Disrespectful" when all I did was basically ask if he could help me further since im new with this stuff. He then goes on to cause a scene in front of all the customers by getting in my face (and I mean HAND DISTANCE from me) and telling me that "I Need to Leave as his quote....SEEN ME before". Now for more context im Hispanic appearing, so in my mind, as I was completely dumbfounded at what was transpiring in front of me, I immediately think that he got the wrong person as I'm a Regular Shopper at this specific location and have a pretty good rapport with most employees there including one of my good friends Jerry (Amazing guy by the way!) Paul then takes my shopping cart, which I spent about 20 minutes filling up with certain light bulbs and other misc items, and yanks it out of my grip as he continues to yell that "I need to leave the store now" and has my cart relocated ( and probably re-shelved). Paul continued to be passively aggressive with his stance intruding my bubble, and when I told him to not touch me, he showed his arms at his waist and said" im not touching you" when his whole body is literally in my close view basically cloth on cloth.....! At this point the actual Manager, Matt was called, which I appreciate, he took me outside and we had a cordial conversation, explaining what happened, he told me he wasnt present at the time of the altercation so he cant comment but eventually, let me return to my shopping whilst simultaneously helping me with my initial paint issue, and towards the end of my encounter with met I told him that I appreciate his help and I feel like this is how any employee should be, ESPECIALLY a "Asst Manager". It was obvious something was wrong with Paul in his life aside from work, but employees SHOULD NEVER bring their anger to work, and NEVER bring it to a Regular Customers face, which he did today in full..... As I was wrapping up my conversation with Matt ( A respectful, helpful, and friendly individual), I asked him if Paul was still around, as I wanted to ask him why he thought I was someone he knew ( who im assuming caused issues there before) because if you ask any other employee there and they see me, I can almost gaurentee you they will have nothing but positive things to say about me, but Matt informed me that he was on lunch, which was odd since it was a little past 3 pm at that time, but im assuming he took the rest of the day off after what he had done to me, I have plans on speaking to Sabrina, who is one of the Higher-Ups there at Home Depot and hopefully resolving this issue once and foreall, as I would like to CONTINUE shopping there like before since it truly is one of my most favorite places to be for home improvement, but at this point im not even sure if I feel comfortable or SAFE walking past those doors as im afraid i might encounter Paul somewhere again, which is upsetting... When I got home, my Adrenaline wore off and I noticed I had actually been cut from the cart as he yanked it away from me, although he never laid hands on me, the cart indirectly jabbed my arm in the process, although this minor cut is nothing for me, compared to the way I was treated and honestly even...stereotyped, it's still a cut this with everything that occurred before is just UNACCEPTABLE, especially from an assistant manager such as paul. read more

Managers and supervisors at this location are coarse and aggressive to customers. They avoid performing their duties and don't resolve customers' issues. Kendra Roberts who is the supervisor of the customer service department yells out loud at customers who come to return their items. She doesn't approach them in a professional manner Paul Cucong (a former military veteran ) who has a bald head is one of the store managers is very aggressive with customers and gets into a physical altercation with them. read more

I'm not trying to be a Karen here, but this is ridiculous. I have spent the last 20 minutes trying to speak with someone about ordering a tool that is available online but not at this store. I'm trying to save myself a trip driving to another store and just have a simple question. I have called the main store number 7 times, the "pro service desk" number twice, and even tried the tool/truck rental number twice. I have let the phone ring for at least 2 minutes on each call before hanging up and trying again. I still have not spoken to an actual person who works there. Literally NOBODY IS OR HAS BEEN ANSWERING THE PHONE. Its 8AM on a Sunday (well, now its 8:30) is there really nobody to take customer service calls ANYWHERE in the store? They have been open for an hour. What if I had an issue with an existing order? What if I wanted to rent a tool/truck? What if I was a pro member? Just from a business perspective, they have to be losing money and business by never answering the phone. read more

I do not recommend this Home Depot at all. There are should've staff to get any assistant and their prices are higher than other Home Depot. Initially went to a different location to purchase a lawn along with other product. Unfortunately, they didn't have the lawnmower in stock and the price was $499. they sent me To Folsom location. So I went to Folsom location and I spent over $3000 in that store immediately after that I had to travel to Southern California to attend to my mother that she was in a hospital. I discovered that the lawnmower that I was charged at this video was 699 when I spoke with the management they argued with me and they said they were prices are different. The cash register was nice enough to offer me a $50 credit and I refuse to receive the credit, that is insulting to charge me $200 extra and offer $50 adjustment. since I couldn't go back to the Home Depot, I passed my deadline to return the product. My mom unfortunately passed away and when I spoke with the corporate office, explain the situation somebody reached out to me and says that we will be happy to assist you and take the merchandise back and issue your credit parentheses Store credit. I load up everything that needed to go back and when I got there, they refused to take the return because they were overwhelmed for the amount of a purchase that I had made $3000 worth a lot to them and since then I have not spend any money in that location and they lost a lot more than $3000 from me measure the location at the time and she does not know anything about customer service or customer relations. I hope that you would have a better luck in any situation with that location . read more

Rented a truck to pick up a ping pong table from the rental side of Home Depot. Fred was behind the counter. He was efficient, friendly and super funny. I left with a big ole smile on my face. The return was super easy and once again I was entertained by Fred. It was a good eye opener that they have SO much tools and other things to rent. A true do it yourself paradise. There's been other occasions where I've stopped in to purchase plants and my husbands list of stuff to complete his projects around the home. Oh my gosh. This company is a mess. We bought carpet from HD. On the evening we went to HD there were no carpet people available to help us. A young man did the best he could but had no training selling carpet. (Kudos to him as he tried hard to help us). We were able to pay for it online. Then we got a call from somebody with a very heavy accent. Eventually my husband got hung up on. Agent said she couldn't hear him. She did call back though. When will the carpet be delivered? At HD's convenience. Not ours. An email will be sent for us to call and schedule. What the H? We have a schedule too. Does HD care about that? There are either too many or too few chefs in kitchen at HD. HD, please listen. When making a big purchases it is preferable to work face to face with a live person. Choose the carpet, sit down, pay and order, schedule a delivery and provide a detailed receipt. The customer leaves happy. This isn't rocket science. Stop all of this online and phone calls. Completely unnecessary. And we, the customers, are NOT happy. read more

HOME DEPOT - Average IQ has to be below 60, management might hit 75. Customer Service is a very Strong 'D' - PUSHING for an 'F'. If you request, and pay extra for, HOME DELIVEERY if will have about a 25% chance of happening. The local store separates itself totally from any Home Delivery order after the order is placed. I am still waiting for my order promised yesterday. Todays order did not make it at all. I paid extra for a 4 hr. window from 6AM - 10AM. Well it is now 10PM WITH NO DELIVERY. Corp.
