Great interaction today at my local home depot. I purchased a Ryobi vacuum about a month and a half ago, and the battery was no longer working. I brought in the vacuum to exchange without a receipt, but the item no longer existed in the system because the manufacturer changed the package to include additional items. Getting paint here is the worst thing to do. One lady, Yaline, literally walks everywhere, takes her sweet time, and ignored another guy and I waiting in line to help 2 ladies who just walked up. She then acted like she didn't know who was here first, even though both of us were waiting for 15+ min in their designated waiting line that has signs and outlined in yellow. I had to engage her and ask if she can make 1 can of paint, which I already had the color ready and a picture of an already made can. If I didn't engage her, I guarantee you she would have ignored me for another 20 min. The lack of service in the paint department is ridiculous. read more

4/12 I put my early and online. By the time it was about 11:30am my father came to pick up the order and I did leave his name and order number . So the loaded the order but forgot 2 items. When we unloaded we realize that was what happened. I spent more than 20mins with customer service to get it resolved to find that they still had it at the store and just never loaded to the vehicle. So I am here again 4/13 used the curbside pick up neglected for over 30mins while no one cares. Finally went in so I can find out what happened and a staff stopped me and said that you know that spot is for curbside pick up . I said yes I have been waiting so I went in to find out what is going on. So she was shocked that I was not parking in the front to get a closer spot. Now it has been over 45 mins I am still parking lot. She comes out and says they misplaced the items. The person yesterday said that order was pick up. Again I had to explain that the person did not bring out the mirrors. Hince why I am back again. Now this caused me money as my contractor was going to put it up yesterday for $50 and he ended coming and I had no mirrors. Then I had to spend one hour of my lunch time. read more

Hello, Recommend you go to a differnent Home Depot location, as I returned a couple of items (drywall) and they did not refund my sale tax I originally paid. Stated I was already refunded sales tax, which from looking at the receipts which were provided to me and my credit card statements I did not recieve my sales tax back for my drywall return. I spoke to a lady and asked her if she was the GM of the store, she stated yes. This lady then told me I will not be refunding your sales tax as you already been paid your sale tax. She stated something to the extent, If you want resolution you need to go to the orginal Home Depot store you purchased your drywall from. From my credit card statements and receipts provided to me, I do not show anywhere where I did not pay my sales tax from my orginal purchase. Losing a customer at this location over $9.21 in sales tax that I already paid with my orginal purchase. I think I just spent around $1,000 this week at Home Depot. I guess you can not return your items at differnet home depot locations. I will be staying away from this location. As from following the paper trail and looking at my credit card statements. I am missing $9.21 of sale tax that should have been returned to me when returning the item I purchased. The system still does not show where my sales tax amount was refunded to me. When I asked again where does it show I got my sale tax returned to me? GM responded, it may have went back on your AMEX card. I stated that was a another return that had nothing to do with the drywall return that. Drywall was purchased with Visa credit card. To confirm I checked my AMEX balance and there was no refund. GM was silent after I stated and showed the receipt that showed AMEX charge was for a differnent receipt. Anyways, horrible customer experience. Every time I come to Home Depot, I'm greeted by a very happy kind professional specialists in the areas that I am interested in purchasing items for home-improvement. Also find out the specialist to be extremely friendly helpful and interested in who I am when I walking to the door every time I come to Home Depot. Recently I needed to purchase some sensor lights for my garage, and the manager even stop to make sure that I got to the department that I needed to reach to find what it is that I needed. The specialist at that light department was very helpful very informed and understood what I needed to make sure that my garage sensor lights are functioning correctly. When I visited the painting department the painting department was very helpful in helping me understand the difference between strainers and glasses as well as different grades of sandpaper. When I visited the doorbell section I was very informed of what options of wireless doorbells that I had and what the pros and cons are for either getting my doorbell wire traditionally or using a wireless product. Home Depot always has a nice selection of plans for me to choose from. I am never disappointed when I was this Home Depot. I can always count on it since I've been coming here for the last three years. Their return policy is also quite generous in which is long as you bring the product back and you have the card You paid with or the receipt you can get your money back. Otherwise you can get an in-store credit for any return or exchange you're interested. read more

I've been coming here for about a year, since I bought a house in this area. My experiences have all been good minus one outrageously expensive quote from one of their third party installation companies. Yesterday though, I was having one of those days where everything seemed to be going kind of wrong. I was doing lots of little fixer-uppers around the house and ended up making like 5 trips to this store (all my fault). After my second visit, I got home and couldn't find one of the kneeling pad I bought. After retracing my steps, I realized I never took it out of the store with me. I drove back and asked if they had found one near the registers - they hadn't. The person, Debra, heard me out and I think sensed I was having one of those days. She didn't put me on trial or look at me suspiciously like I have experienced at other stores for different scenarios. She believed me and told me to go grab another one and to check out with her. Her believing me went a long way with me. She didn't even make me defend myself with my receipt in my hand. I mean, the product was worth less that $5 and she could also see I was checking out with another $70 worth of products...but still. I ended up having to come back for extra parts about 2 hrs later, for a different project. Another cashier, Anna (not even the one who checked me out the first time), saw me and stopped what she was doing to tell me I had left something before. Turns out the kneeling pad blew off the counter and onto the floor in a not very visible place. She remembered me and didn't even know I had come back and gotten a replacement already on good faith. Of course, I left the first one with at returns desk and was happy to have found out what happened (and that I wasn't losing my mind). But mostly I was just impressed with how this Home Depot, and multiple employees, Debra and Anna, went above and beyond to connect with me. read more

Their open boxed items are not what they appear as. Was given a faucet with a discount sticker on it only to find used parts inside. Went to their customer service department who refused to do anything about it. It was a $90 dollar lesson about having them open the box in front of you before you pay for the item since their quality control on returns is very poor. read more

I live near this Home Depot and had a sour experie,fa the first time I went to buy weed killer and a weed whacker. No one was around or those who were didn't care to help. But my adventure there today was a million times better. I wanted a few flowers to plant in baskets that hang from my roof. The salespeople in the outdoor garden were extremely helpful and more than happy to answer questions. I was greeted right away and found great deals on annual flower purchases. I left with enough flowers to fill the large box by my garage and for 6 hanging baskets for 25 dollars, that also includes a bag of garden soil. The cashier was really nice to chat with about my flower plans and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Hopefully I can keep these flowers alive... read more

Home Depot overprices items. We went to get more stone borders like we had gotten there two months ago. Price was $1.98 per block. They now priced the red ones at $1.98 and limestone at $3.18. After loading up 84 of them we found that out at register. Went to Lowes and got them for original $1.98. Lowes helped load them and Home Depot sat and watched. Better customer service and better pricing and military discount. They now have our business. read more

Beware. This store won't refund sales tax to you if they have any IT issues. They only will offer store credit that is 2/3 of what the refund should be! They will also deliver your material 2-3 weeks late, have horribly mismanaged inventory systems, and will straight up lie to you in the customer service department. Save yourself a headache, go to Lowe's or the Ace Hardware off Dairy Ashford and Memorial. NEVER had a problem at one of those stores but do every single visit to this Home Depot. read more

I just came to the store and spent almost 2 hours looking at various things that I need for my client. My client has spent thousands of dollars in various Home Depot throughout Houston area over the past three months and I do have to say that I have never been treated so bad at Home Depot before until today. I had some excellent employees that helped me with various things inside but when I went to check out I had to go to the Pro Desk in order to do a phone sale so we could call my client. The Hispanic lady that called my client first of all couldn't stop talking to everybody else before she proceeded to check me out which upset me already then when she finally decides to start checking me out I'll tell her what I want checked out. She tells me that I need to check everything out through That particular exit because I have some cash sale and I have some that it's a phone sale for my client. Once she text my clients phone number and put it in the system she proceeded to tell me that she my client is not registered in Home Depot system so I cannot do a phone sale. This is impossible because I have personally done thousands of dollars worth of phone sales myself and I have a ton of receipts at home to prove it but I don't have them with me at the moment to show her. I looked at the computer and is clear as day and my clients email is on the system so how can it be that she's not registered but they have her email address on their system. No how is it possible for Home Depot to get my clients email address without somebody registering her somehow in the system? This woman was too lazy to pick up the phone and call my client and resolve any issues she might have in order to check out this phone sale which was less then $45. This is so ridiculous but she's so lazy she can't take the time to call my client and resolve whatever issues she might have and get this taken care of there was nobody waiting in line behind me. No I guarantee you if this would've been Home Depot on 610 and Ella Boulevard here in Houston I wouldn't of been treated like this they would've taken the time and helped me and helped my client with the cell but this is spending woman with the attitude had no intention of all of helping me all my client with the sale she told me that my client wasn't registered and I needed to go down to the customer service desk and find a manager to help me out but there was nothing she could do that was her resolution to the situation which was clearly on the opposite side of the store. So I went to The opposite side of the store to Customer Service spoke to a manager explained him the situation he tried to help me but after I explain to him the situation there was nothing he could do either because he said she had been doing it a long time and she knew what she was doing and there was nothing he could do about it. No I'm sorry but that was not the answer to the situation that I wanted to hear because I had spent almost 2 hours in the store and if she were taken just a few minutes to call my client all this could've been resolved with whatever issues she had. The manager wanted me to go back down to the opposite side of the store again and try and resolve it with this woman at the pro desk but at this point I wasn't about to spend one penny in the store and I know if I would've called my client she would've been furious with this situation after spending all the money she has spent with Home Depot to find out they're treating me like dirt. So I left everything in the store in my basket including a gallon of paint today that I had mixed but do I care that they're gonna lose money on that paint, no I could care less. I will happily go to Home Depot on 610 Ella here in Houston what I will be treated like a human being with courtesy have my paint mixed have my order called in like I normally do and charge over the phone like I normally do with my client with no issues with courteous nice employees at that store not like this store here with rude employees at the Pro Desk! I don't even live 3 miles from the store but I guarantee you I would never drive to the store again and spend one penny I will gladly wait and go to another location or spend my money elsewhere because I will not spend my money anywhere where I have to deal with attitudes the manager was nice but the rest of it I could deal without. read more

Great variety of Christmas lights and outdoor decorations. We went to Lowe's first on Black Friday and they were out of what we needed. Headed here and they were fully stocked. We found everything we needed $300 later. Still got a great deal for all we got. The paint department is a mess. Twice I've gone and there's one person in the department with a line of about 6 people. Waited 20 minutes then left. Today I go to paint and wait 5 minutes with nobody there. Go ask for help and they say they don't know where the paint guy is. Go to customer service and they call around and tell me that the only person that can help is busy, but will be there in a few minutes. This person shows up, not too happy that she has to help in paint, and completes my paint match. Never once did anyone say, sorry about that. This HD has gone down hill. read more

I came in to get some mini blinds and I was in the store for over 30 mins and could not find Someone to help me out. They kept sending back and goth between different departments. I finally asked to speak to the MOD and he told me to wait for another 20mins before someone was able to help me out. I love this Home Depot. The cashiers are always friendly and everybody working here really wants to help out. We had an expensive plant that had died but couldn't find the reciept--we just had its HD price tag. No problem, they took it and refunded the money on our credit card. No guilting, no questiong--just smiling friendly helpful faces. We've also found the nursery to have healthier variety than other Home Depots nearby. This has become our go-to Home Depot. read more

Although the displays were crammed with not a lot of room to move, everything was laid out in an easy to find manner. Everything else in the store was a quick stop for painting supplies and a gate latch. It looked like there was a good bit of clearance too. I went to this Home Depot because it had very positive reviews, and they weren't wrong! Every Home Depot I've ever gone to in Houston has been awful because there's very little personnel. If you're lucky enough to find someone that works there, they have no clue where anything is. Not this HD! There were workers everywhere, and just about every single one of them was helping a customer. When I found a free worker, he answered my question quickly and sent me to the correct aisle. Home Depot is close to my house,carry everything I need and they offer a 10% military discount.The employees here are very friendly and willing to help. I bought a load of 2by4's and the guy in the lumber department helped me load it into my SUV. I picked up a toilet the other day and Curt spent a few minutes helping pick out the right water supply line that I would need. I have been to other HD like the one on the belt and katy freeway and those employees don't say"hello, can I help you," or even act like they know they are their to help with a few exceptions. read more

Ordered a fridge last Thursday to be delivered today. The window they gave me was 9-5, and they said they couldn't guarantee a narrower time frame, so I had to clear my entire day to stay home and receive it. Received no confirmation call the day before, and they didn't show up on the day of. Upon calling customer service and the store, they told me that it was out of stock (they found out YESTERDAY AFTERNOON) and they rescheduled delivery for 6/15 without letting me know, and on a day that I'll be at work for 12 hours. The employee was nice enough to let me loudly voice my aggravation. Upon my request, she said she will escalate this to management to make up for my inconvenience and that they will "probably" give me a call to rectify the situation. However if they don't, they'll be receiving more hell from me. UPDATE: Two weeks later, and they never called, but I'm not taking more time out of my life to deal with such incompetent negligent deadbeats. They rescheduled my delivery for 6/22 (yay I get to keep my leaky 20 year old fridge for 10 more days!) but I actually wouldn't be surprised if they end up never fulfilling that date either and not letting me know. I'll probably end up canceling the order and getting it somewhere else. I've dealt with many good employees at this store and many who are highly incompetent as well. For example, once I had trouble opening my trunk and an employee kindly went up to me and got it un-stuck. Another time, a nice employee named Chito helped me find the recycle bins and picked out the cleanest one for me, then made sure I was able to get to a register because I had an online order to pick up and an incompetent lady at the pick-up counter wouldn't address me. This delivery issue blew the whole store out of the water. I'm not sure what goes through your head if you're rescheduling a customer's delivery to a random day and not letting the customer know. They think the delivery folks can haul away my old fridge and hook up the new one if I'm not home. Go figure. They also think it's okay to have someone stay home and cancel all obligations to receive an appliance when the store was already informed the day before that the appliance isn't coming. You may order from them, but be sure to make several phone calls before your scheduled delivery to confirm, and don't expect your item to be delivered when they say it will be. But that seems like a hassle to me. FYI there are other places you can get appliances. read more

I've been to this location a few times because it's on my way to work but after this last time I'll go a little out of the way to the other store near 6 and west belfort. The last time I went in early and they had the weed eaters locked up and I asked the lady near the front return desk who didn't seem happy to be there nor greeted anyone who came in that morning to call someone. She shrugged and said to ask the lady doing the pricing and labels. Then I got directed back to first lady because that's not her department. Anyways, I went through about 4-5 people to finally get the weed eater. 5min trip turned into 15-20min all because an employee is incompetent.
