Palmdale store on W. Rancho Vista Blvd Lots of parking spaces. I walk in and I encountered many employees saying "HI" to me and asking if I needed help. The store was clean and there were no merchandise scattered on the floor. Everything was neatly on the shelves. I was able to find my PVC panels and Erika at the register quickly rang them up. I ordered a new GE Profile over-the-range microwave oven to replace the one I had which failed after 7 years of hard labor. I also ordered delivery, installation, and removal of the old unit. The delivery was on time and they removed the old unit. Those were the only tasks done right. The installation team (coincidentally the same two guys as the delivery team) tried to install the new unit using the existing brackets from the old unit instead of using the brackets (and templates) that came with the new unit. They fiddled around and drilled 5 or 6 holes in semi-random locations (because who uses templates when you are a crack expert installation team???) and finally drove the mounting screws cock-eyed into the unit so that it is hanging about 1.5 inches below the bottom of the cabinet. Lastly they just ignored the exhaust vent piping leaving the transition adapter completely disconnected from the microwave (by, coincidentally, that same 1.5 inches). I said: "what are you going to do about this big gap? They said: "That's just the way it is with those brackets, but if you don't like it you can call this number within 48 ours to return the unit". I said: "I don't like it and you need to fix it." They cheerfully pointed out: "If you don't like it you can call this number within 48 ours to return the unit." They then proceeded to take the shipping box, that still contained all the necessary but unused parts, and scooted out the door, noting: "If you don't like it you can call this number within 48 ours to return the unit." They left behind a cloud of wood chips, cardboard scraps, Styrofoam bits, and plastic sheeting on the counters, floor, and stove. Oh, and they left behind a card that said "you can call this number within 48 ours to return the unit". So I called that number (around 5 minutes after delivery since I didn't really need to wait 48 hours) and told Home Depot they need to come and do the installation properly (with a different crew), repairing my cabinet, and they probably need to bring a new unit because all of the necessary installation parts departed with the previous cheerful delivery/installation crew. Update: 12/13: I replied to the HD form in the comment. Update: 12/13: Repair crew arrived and looked at the install and said they would order a new unit and get it installed properly. They also stated they generally don't look at the unit instructions during install because "they are experts", and stated they don't use the templates because they "measure"... without referencing the installation instructions. read more

Last week I purchased a stove and matching microwave. The HORRIBLE delivery service took pictures in front of my house, stating they missed the delivery when I was sitting in the house. No number to get hold of them. HOME DEPOT promised me $100 for the trouble. Didn't get the $100 credit. Called. They said it'll show up on your card. It didn't. Be carful when you go to this home depot. While i was leaving the store there was a 2 dogs following behind me and were going to bite me, the owner in time pulled the dog back. The WORST !!!! Don't buy Genie garage opener. 7 months stopped working. Genie does not stand behind their product. The warranty is useless. You call the Genie call center. 2 hour hold time!!!! Or the "chat " help Hours waiting for a call back. Put me through two troubleshootings. No resolution. Wanted me to do a third troubleshooting. Had to wait two more hours, when they call back I got hung up on. John the manager is Always in meetings and never available. He pushed me off on Terri. She has been awesome. Her hands have been tied because Genie does not stand behind there product, and HomeDepot is un willing to step up and make things right. Never should have purchased from HomeDepot. Should have spent the extra money and purchased from a local garage door company Terri in customer service at Palmdale HomeDepot came to the rescue. She took ownership of my nightmare and followed it to the end. When after 2 weeks it was apparent that GENIE has no integrity, and was not going to stand behind the warranty. There was only 1 nice employee who helped us pick out and put our tree on the cart. The other 2 employees we dealt with after were rude. One told us very rudely to self check out our 9ft tree. And the other was the cashier near self checkout (because we aren't going to do self checkout since that's what you all are getting paid to do) who was rude right off the bat. No hi no nothing, just started scanning the box without acknowledging and kept looking at me with an attitude for no reason when I wasn't even the one at the register or the one paying so idk why she fixated on me like that specifically. Also, no one offered to help with the 9ft tree box and putting it in the van, we did it ourselves. Will not be back to/support this location. read more

So Lowes Palmdale and Best Buy Palmdale are your competition. Went to see appliances, refrigerators. Egads, Lowes Palmdales was the best. I could at the very least open the doors to the fridges. Sales people at Lowes needed training, Best Buy same. But the worst was yet to come... Home Depot, Palmdale, the fridge's doors were packed so tight you couldn't open the doors and your warehouse put them in place like whatever, crooked lines. Just awful. Anyway the least your store personnel could do is present the fridges in a neat orderly organized fashion and have a rep readily available. I was approached halfway on my way out. So straighten out your store merchandise and sales tags from March taken down!!!..and new April sales tags would be helpful. Manning the area would be helpful...and training as well. Btw Lancaster Home Depot has much better maintained store and Lancaster Lowes as well. Though they need product training as well. If you want to be competitive go visit them. Not everyone likes to buy online. Some people like to see what they are getting plus information about the fridges as well. You are losing sales as I write this. read more

Purchased produce from the Home Depot Online store. Received one of the two items ordered called Home Depot customer service and was told to contact my credit card company and file a dispute. Home Depot wanted me to do all the leg work for a product I ordered from them. Then they finally issues a case number after much insistence on my part. To which the promptly closed two days later WITHOUT any resolution. So I filled a BBB complaint against Home Depot and as soon as locate the CA state and Federal agencies to file formal complaints I will do that. I bought an LG Kitchen package on a Black Friday Deal at Homedepot and was told that it wouldn't be delivered until the 11th of January. It was a shock when they told me but we dealt with it. Just got a text (1-6-23) stating that it will now be delivered on February 11 2023!!!, we had our old appliances removed and haven't been able to cook since 1-2-23 and now won't be able to cook for at least another 5 weeks!!! This is totally UNACCEPTABLE and when I contacted HOMEDEPOT they stated "We are sorry but there's nothing we can do for you" other words screw you. I can't tell you enough how satisfied I am about the service recovery I experienced over the weekend. We had an issues that was very upsetting to me and my family. We purchased a order and left it at Home Depot for assembling. The item was left on unmarked and sold to someone else. By the time I got up there to find out what happened I was very frustrated by the conversation I had with a inexperienced customer service employee with no desire to help. I don't want to say her name. I was met by an asst.Manager named Rich. He immediately took over and apologized for what had happened. He ask staffers to also help me. I AM NOT A THIEF! My family & I are LOYAL Home Depot customers. Our weekend trips to the store have become family fun excursions. We are currently undergoing a backyard reno. I visited your Palmdale #638 store on Sunday, 6/13/21, w/ my kids, ages 3, 5, 7, & 9. I purchased nails, bolts, & a broom. I checked out at register 1, because the line was empty. The area, from what I have been told, is called the "Pro Services" area. My family & I then proceeded to the main exit. I knew that I may be questioned about my purchase so I made sure to keep the receipt in my hand. Sure enough, an employee inquired if I had paid for my items. I replied yes, held up my receipt & told her that I paid for my items at register 1 in "Pro Services". She nodded & I exited the store. A Head Cashier, Yoli (sp), asked the employee what I had said. She told her & Yoli replied that I was lying. I told them to check w/ cashier at register 1. Another customer heard a comment that Yoli made as I left. The customer commented "How rude" & "That was uncalled for." I ask the customer what was said. She replied "Don't worry about it honey. It's not worth it". I went back into the store & politely asked if there was a problem with my purchase. The employee replied that there was a misunderstanding. It was assumed that I did not purchase my items but had stolen them. I repeated that I checked out at register 1. Yoli then interjected that the Pro Services area is closed so I could not have made my purchase there. I was confused, so I asked her to take a look at my receipt. She waved me off. I then asked if the other employee would review my purchase. At first she declined, but after I insisted, she reviewed the transaction. Yoli stood firm on her initial comment of Pro Services being closed and insinuated that I had stolen the items. After becoming frustrated & humiliated, as other customers/employees looked on, I gave up and left. I then decided to go back into the store to speak with the Manager Ralph because my kids were traumatized & hurt by what had transpired. I went to register 1, where I purchased the items, & to speak with Ralph. He never came to speak with me. Instead, he sent an employee by the name of Jalon. When I explained all of what transpired, he tried to patronize me. I asked why I could not speak to Ralph and Jalon replied that Ralph sent him. Please understand that I am a very peaceful & non-confrontational person. I get along with EVERYONE. I take pride in the way that I carry myself & I am someone who is big on giving and receiving respect. I do not like to be accused of doing things that I would NEVER do. It was very humiliating to be treated like a common criminal, especially in front of my children. It was humiliating and traumatic for them too. Yoli had her mind made up about me and my family. She NEVER tried to rectify the situation. Jalon did not attempt to rectify the situation, nor did Ralph even bother to speak to me, after I repeatedly asked to speak to him. Yoli needs training on how to better service customers. She is not fulfilling the duties of a Head Cashier. She needs to not verbalize her opinions and accusations in front of employees and other customers. Jalon needs training on how to better assess and react to situations. Telling me that my "next experience at Home Depot will be a pleasant one" does not suffice as a final answer. Ralph needs training too. If a customer asks, no, insists on speaking with you, please take a moment to speak with them. This review could have been avoided if 1 of the 3 people that I mentioned would have done their job properly. Home Depot, I ask you, as a LOYAL customer who has spent well OVER $1,000 in your stores during the last 3 months, to please review my letter. Share it with whoever is in charge of making decisions and changes and really do something about this matter. Please. So I went to the home depot store on Ave. P this afternoon (arounf 5 pm). Here is my experience: 1). I need a 2x10x10 but no one was at the lumber yeard to help. I tried to load the lumber myself and resulted injuried my finger (bleeding). 2). No cart available nearby. I had to go all the way to parking lot to get one. 3). Finally, I was ready to checked out but was told the one at the lumber yard was closed. I had to carry my 2x10x10, along with other items I plan to buy to the self check out area. At this point, I decided this place is not worth my business. I left without buying anything. Maybe they don't even care of my business. On my way home, I stopped by the Lowe's on Ave P, found my items; multiple carts lineup along the lumber area; a young gentleman helped me load the lumber, checkout right at the lumber area. Costed me about 15 mins. You be the judge which store offers better service and I will go to in the future. read more

Beware! Home Depot at 340 W Avenue P, Palmdale, CA 93551 (aka Rancho Vista Blvd) is not safe. One customer took his face mask off to eat chips and drink soda while parading through the store. Another customer wore what appeared to be a napkin as a face mask and completely took it off while looking for items. Home Depot is big and not all customers who violate safety standards may be noticed. But keep in mind, there is no visible security checking to see if face masks are worn or taken off. To add, several customers who do where face masks purposefully do not cover their nose. Not covering your nose makes wearing a face mask useless. It gets worse. I saw at least six employees with face masks intentionally not cover their nose and walkabout regularly with complete disregard for customer and fellow employee safety. What is more, at least one staff and one manager wore gaiter masks, which are shown to be extremely ineffective when it comes to the Corona Virus. If you shop at Home Depot in Palmdale Ca. please be aware that you shop with a high level of risk to your own health. And I am sad to say that employees at this Home Depot who do follow the correct procedures for safety and do wear appropriate face masks are having their health and lives jeopardized by careless managers and supervisors. Some employees are young and may not be aware of new findings regarding face masks and the dangers caused to others by not covering your nose in enclosed spaces, but there is no excuse for managers and supervisors to not train, enforce, and hire security to attend to everyone's safety. The very basics for safety are being ignored! -- Not covering noses and wearing the least ineffective face coverings by employees. -- Customers parading with their face masks off in front of employees and other customers and customers not covering their noses. It was 10am on a Tuesday and the store was empty. Finally I found somebody from another department to help, but she had no idea what she was doing and was zero help. She really made me feel like I was bothering her. They really need to reconsider their recruiting and training of employees.
