I ordered a large cabinet from Home Depot. They sent me delivery updates. Then I received an update stating that Fedx delivered the cabinet. I called Home Depot and advised them that they had not delivered it to our house. The customer service rep said that since Fedx had taken a photo of it sitting in my garage that I would have to dispute it with my bank. I happened to see my neighbors garage open and there was my cabinet sitting in his garage. Since there was no address on the carton my neighbor assumed that it was something that his wife had ordered. So I was able to get the cabinet but my questions are 1) why was there no shipping address on the carton? 2) why would HD expect my bank to be responsible for a Home Depot screw up? 3) why would Fedx be exempt from responsibility of delivering the item to the wrong address? Bottom line is Home Depot finds every excuse for not completing the order that they took. Do better, be better... The customer service rep says "oh this happens all of the time." read more

We called and asked if the Halloween decor was out and were told that it was so we make the long drive and when we get there the employees were setting it up and it was gated off so we nicely inquired and were loudly and rudely told we could shop it at 1:30. So we waited around for an hour and half. They opened the gates around that time but as we were walking around to grab the one thing we came for, we were again yelled at by one super rude female employee "can you just wait a minute!!!!" I love this Home Depot! I come here more than I need to just bc I like being here. I love their garden dept and their selection of bird feeders and planters and indoor plants as well. The only thing I'd change is the lighting section, to make all the bulbs constant and not flashing. It nearly gave me a seizure in that section w different hues of lights and flashing ones too. If your forklift driver wants to use a forklift to put items on my trailer, and I let him know that the boards should be 12' and my trailer is 12' and so they should fit... and when he can't put the boards on straight because there is a railing on my trailer, instead of blaming the choice I made for him to place them in straight he should have suggested that because his forklift skills sucked and he didn't know how to lean his forks he should have just unbanded the load and manually put it in my trailer. If my pin breaks on my trailer gate I will be coming back and getting the cost for the pin repair from your location. If you don't think your skills can tackle the job you've been asked to do, be honest and just put in a little bit of manual labor, don't blame the customer for your f******. Most of the staff here seem to be pretty friendly and helpful; I was asked if I needed help a few minutes after entering, then accurately directed to what I needed. The gentleman cutting lumber helped me out promptly and efficiently and even discounted my cuts. All that said, checkout was very wierd. The cashier's name was Isidro, and I don't know if he was having an off day or what, but talk about off-putting! He was standing in his lane, and I asked him if I could check out there, and he said yes...then just stood there blocking the lane and stared at me? After an awkward silence that was altogether waaaaaaay too long he asked me how I was doing, and I said "I'm well, and yourself?" And he replied "good", then asked me if I wanted to check out...like I thought we covered this already? He finally moved and I pushed my cart into the lane but he got back in my way and started scanning the items in my cart with a portable hand scanner I hadn't realized that he'd had, not saying a thing. I held a piece of framing out for him so he could get at the barcode, and he literally swatted it away like I was being annoying. The rest of the transaction was done in complete silence, and was exceedingly awkward. Looking at my receipt it seems he missed some of the lumber I got...oh well, at least the bizarre experience came with a discount, I guess? Today I had my new barbecue grill delivered. Unfortunately the company that was delivering it, which was outside of the normal Home Depot Delivery service, I decided to just drop it off on my porch instead of knocking on my door where I could direct them to the back of my house where the gate to my patio is and there aren't any stairs. I have a dolly and I brought it outside to see if I could even Scooch it over onto the dolly, mind you I am 58 years old and recovering from a broken elbow and the BBQ weighed 125 pounds. I called your store and connected with the manager on shift and his name was Scott. He was very short staffed today, but somehow he managed to find two guys that came over to my house and just carried it into my back patio for me. Scott you saved the day and I am very grateful. No love for this store. I am sitting here in DESPERATE need of blinds but I cannot make myself complete the order. This store is beyond un helpful in person and online. They stock just enough to make you think you can just go in for something but 99% of the time you have to go online. Went in for blinds, they didn't have much in stock and told me I would have all the options available online so I go online and they are out of stock! This comes after I ordered and returned 4 sets of 2 door knobs because they didn't have the right parts. Had to call the manufacturer and even THAT was a bust. 8 weeks to get it right. You better have lots of free time when you order because who knows what you will get. I think most of the in store employees look like they are avoiding helping people. They are often not helpful OR friendly. The website is really poorly organized and gives FALSE information on products and then you don't know till you receive it. Me and Kathy were trying to buy a Nest thermostat. I take the tag to customer service as it says to do. They don't keep the one I want at customer service. It's kept in the management office due to high theft (which is why it would by kept at customer service away from customers right?) Waited over 15 minutes for someone else to tell me they are out despite the computer showing 16 on hand When I was told earlier. Guessing high theft perhaps? This was a wasted trip. Not impressed with this location's management and front customer service. Overheard other employees complaining in the background about what was and what wasn't their department.  Summing this with three words complacent, unprofessional and disappointed. I give two stars because of two individuals who've given good customer service. However, after tonight I'll be going to Lowe's. We went to the home depot in Phoenix Oregon today, June 24, 2022. My husband wanted to get some premium foil tape to seal air spaces around air ducts. When we first went in, he rush ahead of me to get a cart since, I have trouble walking without hang on to something. He got a cart from someone in the parking lot since none were available in the store. He told the man Roger at customer service there were no carts. The rudest man I have ever heard. I know they are all at the other end of the store! Mylanta, there are more elderly people waiting for carts! Strike one for the old Ball game. Strike two comes when he asks another employee which aisle the tape is on. He sent him back to the aisle where paint is. The wrong aisle. Strike 2. Then he asks the lady there where it would be. She at least gets a ball since she said aisle 34, she was off by one! It was aisle 35. So we had probably the worst ever experience with people who are supposed to be there to serve customers. They have only self service for normal customers, and it is very difficult to use their machines. My husband got that and we talked to another lady who worked at the store and ssh3 said she would report Roger for us, but she is just another employee so they would not take it to heart. Worst customer ever! Pretty much every time I go into this store I find that the employees would rather be doing something else rather than help a customer. Today I was using the self check out and something went wrong and the machine recording kept saying "customer needs assistance at the self check out". The lady that was working that area was helping someone else but there was a male employee that was standing right there looking at their work schedule and completely ignored me. I ended up going over to see if he knew how to work the self check out machine and maybe could help me. "Yeah I guess". This HD is fine, but despite purchasing things here on multiple occasions we have decided no more. Way too many people wo masks. Typical of lots of southern oregon. Just am not going to support ANY business that cannot require customers to adhere to mask rules. Today I was there and a guy was at customer service (I was picking up an order) with no mask, telling the poor employee "I can't hear you through that mask". I guess he also isn't able to read the signs out front saying mask required. I get it's not the employees fault, who wants to be screamed at and cussed out when trying to get people to do the right thing. However, corporate support is different and we won't do it. HD is big enough and wealthy enough to have someone at the front saying sorry, can't come in wo a mask. Costco does it. We'll shop locally at ACE Ashland from now on. read more

The Home Depot here in Southern Oregon is conveniently located right off the freeway. The store has a good sized parking lot and accommodates nicely. I come here a lot for plants, soil, yearly maintenance lawn supplies, light bulbs and tools. I've been in recent months been shopping for a new refrigerator. I keep watch at Lowes, Best Buy and Home Depot, and because of my high restrictions on the size I can put in my cabinets- it's been a challenge finding what I want. I came again tonight because of an email offer I got yesterday on a no interest purchase and 5% off using my Depot card. I've always had friendly service here. Yes, on my trips here in the evening, I have often had to hunt down an associate- but once found they're helpful. That's the reason why I can't give full stars is because of employee availability. I did ask an associate a couple questions about my offer I got in the email up at the customer service desk- he didn't have a name badge on, so I didn't see his name- but he was very helpful. I still am looking for the best deal on the fridge I need- there's 2 styles here that will work and I've got a month to decide with this deal I got. In the spring this location has an awesome selection of plants and flowers. The outside plant section is good sized and I get unique varieties that work well in our climate. I guess it's true. Home Depot is just as bad as those people who steal from them. My boss made a 4 board order 24 hours in advance, I arrived to be directed to an EMPTY loading dock. Where I waited 20 mins quietly. At that point I went around back to be told to go back around front, then I was told there was no order. Then I was told it was missing. The whole time I was refused to actually go get the 4 boards myself. I called corporate, to have them do nothing. That's where we are, if these stores cannot employ people who will work,why use them at all? All my purchases from now on will be online, and from small buisness. These corporate stores need to be out of buisness. They have lost the only reason they are around in the first place. They hire people that know nothing of construction, time frames, etc etc etc. And what's worse they don't even attempt to make things right. Buy online from small businesses and see the way your treated for an extra few dollars. My order should've been fully refunded as you are employing a guy that refuses to do his job. Bad Treatment and disrespect from Phoenix Home Depot (F-) Home Depot Phoenix Oregon sales rep and door installer treated myself and my wife like crap. I was buying a Security Door to be installed by Home Depot's installer named Alex. The sales rep for Home Depot is named Stacy and she is in the door department. I paid $40 dollars for the installer Alex come to our home to measure for the door to be installed. First time, he cancelled. When he did come out, I was not home so my wife let him come in and do the measurements. The total price for the install and security door was around $2800. We decided to install the door on the outside of the room facing our back yard. My wife and I went to Home Depot on May 15th 2022 (Sunday). When we met Stacy, she was rude, and none professional. We wanted to have a re-measurement so she texted Alex. His message back was taken as kind of a threat to us. Alex stated in a strong negative text to us. He said that if we measured the area, he would not guarantee the work and installation and the mistake would be our fault. After 30 minutes going back and forth with Stacy only wanted up to sign the contract and pay for the door, my wife had enough and told her that "we will not be spoken to in such a rude, inconsiderate way." All I wanted was to have the door installer to re-measure the area to insure a proper installation. Stacy the Phoenix door sales lady phoned me at 9am May 18th 2022 stating to me that Home Depot refuses to install the security door and refuses to sell us the door! That's nuts. She wasted our time, spoke down to us, and the installer was a complete jerk to us. This is the worst experience I have ever had when wanting to purchase a door. Home Depot Phoenix Oregon store number 8557 Gets a F- for customer service. The sales people could use training in customer curtesy and communication. Really terrible experience!!!! Curbside pick up is a freaking joke!! My neighbor told me to ordered curbside since I couldn't lift up the items.. Home Depot will load it for me and when I got home my neighbor will help me unload it. When I got to the store I checked in online. Waited bout 20 min no one came out to my car. Finally I called and the guy inside says they never received any notification. He checks me in and says it'll be a few min someone will be out shortly. I waited almost 40 min... no one. I called again. Waited another 20 and finally someone wheels a cart out to my car. He just left it next to my car and went back inside. Didn't check no ID.. gave me no receipt or anything... didn't even let me know that it was my cart. Anyone could've took the cart and Home Depot would still charge my card. He Just left the cart next to my car and never came back out!! So another 15 go by and no one. I go inside to ask if anyone can help me. Every employee I ask tells me "oh that's not my department or I can't leave my area rite now" after realizing no one was going to help me load I had to call my neighbor to drive all the way out jus to load it for me. 12 cinder blocks for my garden I'm a 67 year old women and no one at the store would help me!! We ordered a large tool box online. It showed that there were 9 in stock at the Phoenix Oregon store. Within a few hours I received a message that the order was canceled because the item was not in stock. I was told "sometimes inventory is off". When I called about a refund I was told that it would take 3-5 business days. I went to the Phoenix store two days later and they had two of the same tool box that I bought sitting on the shelf. Bev and Dee helped me get one. They were both very nice. I explained what happened and they apologized and offered a discount. I called the manager to let him know. Drew was Extremely rude. Without asking what product I bought, he said "we just got them in a day or two ago." I said that I hadn't told him what item I was talking about. He said "it doesn't matter." I contacted the corporate office to let them know that I will not be returning to Home Depot because of the way I was treated by Drew. The manager at Lowe's is much more professional. I used to compare shop at Lowes and here but I quit buying from here when they wouldn't accept the veteran discount? The short story is I was looking to upgrade the appliances in my new home. I was looking for a dishwasher, gas stove and matching over the range microwave. I initially price matched the appliances at both places but here was the deal breaker, home depot wouldn't add the additional 10% veteran discount to the final price but Lowes would? It's been three years since we have been back. This place is a sham! And if you ever have a problem no one will ever answer the phone it is very annoying! We purchased a refrigerator here it came in and we picked it up several weeks ago, as we live in California and our closest Home Depot is in Phoenix Oregon. My husband received a call two days ago saying our refrigerator just came in and if we don't pick it up within five days they will charge our credit card a fee for restocking. We do not want to be charged because we already picked up our items several weeks ago! We have literally been trying to call the store for three days and are always on hold and then when the phone finally starts ringing no one ever picks up it will ring 50 times no one ever answers the phone! This is so annoying and very very unprofessional! We are not going to drive 50 miles to tell them this in person! I cannot believe the customer service will never ever answer the phone so unprofessional it's absolutely ridiculous! They better not charge us a restocking fee!
