I'm in the middle of having a new kitchen installed by Home Depot. This process has been nothing short of a nightmare!!! I paid for my cabinets in November 2020, they were delivered January 4, 2020. Unfortunately the warehouse mislabeled one cabinet so it had to be rushed to my house for the cabinet inspection. The installation took place on January 6, 2021 and it was discovered Home Depot failed to place the order for a base cabinet so the remainder of the kitchen installation is on hold. I called Home Depot & sent emails - no return calls or response to my emails. The Home Depot rep was off several days I called again, he informed me that the missing cabinet was lost at the warehouse. I called the cabinet company and they informed the cabinet was never ordered and Home Depot had placed the order that week. The estimated date for the missing cabinet is now January 27th but they can't send it directly to my house so who knows when it will arrive. Due to Home Depots mistake my kitchen is missing a cabinet, baseboards, and toe boards. The installers also failed to put a hole in cabinet above range for vent in attic, they also said the box labeled base boards and toe boards were extra parts and told me I could return them for cash back. I told the installer I did not pay for extra parts, they're pieces that need to be installed! The installers also left extra holes in the walls & new cabinets. Without the completion of the cabinet installation I can't get my countertop or sink. Without sink I can't install new plumbing or dishwasher. It's sad we live in times where big companies charge a lot of money and have no concern for their customers. If you're looking to remodel your kitchen my advice would be look elsewhere or find a house with a kitchen you like. read more

They contract our delivery and pick up and sure enough it's been a week and the delivery company has not contacted me so now I'm taking time out if my day to chase people on the phone for 3 hours on a work day to complete my return. If you need a shed find a local company Home Depot is trash. Every step of this return has been a nightmare. read more

Don't go to HD to buy tools and accessories. I researched what I wanted found the router I wanted and Home Depot stated they have 3available. I went there to purchase it first challenge was finding somebody to help in the tool area had to request assistance at the front desk. Finally, somebody shows up but it's not real familiar with where the router I'm looking for is we finally found it he seems anxious to get out of there, but I asked for some router bits to go with it, but we couldn't find any again. He was not sure where they're located, so I leave the store without it. By the way, this router requires lithium batteries that the clerk did not even mention or assist with I went home and re-searched the batteries and then headed back to Home Depot to purchase the batteries again he didn't the clerk, same clerk did not know where the batteries were luckily, the Milwaukee person was there and directed him. The clerk Mark, who is anxious to get me out of there ran over to the cashier abandoned me did not ask if I needed anything else. Now I have to go to a different store to find router bits to go with the $400 router and batteries that I bought from Home Depot. read more

I would give this store 2 stars except that a very helpful young man re-keyed 5 locks for me in about 45 minutes (all while being interrupted by other customers) he was very courteous and helpful to all of them. for the rest of the store finding someone to help is like hunting for snipes. when you do find someone they can't help because they don't work in that area/are new/never heard of it/have to check their phone/are too busy gossiping. I was at this store for almost 2 hours and only got about half my list. I was forced to install the app on my phone because most of the employees couldn't tell me if they had something or where it might be. I ended up ordering the things I needed from ebay and amazon. read more

I love coming to this home depot! It's not to far from home, and they have an awesome nursery. I've come here for a variety of things over the past year, and most times, I can find it. The store is laid out like every other home depot, with just about all the same products you can think of. Lumbar, paint, hardware, etc. I've done a lot of shopping at their nursery, and the plant selection is quite nice. They have a lot of annuals, but could probably step up their perennial selection plant wise. They have a huge selection of dirt for planters and gardens, buckets, planters and all kinds of gardening tools. Inside they have tons of stuff to choose from. If I have a problem finding something or need help, I can grab someone in an orange apron to help me figure it out. Staff is really friendly and helpful, which is great. I will say, the downside is that if you come here in a Saturday afternoon, sometimes it can be crazy. I don't mind the crazy atmosphere, but sometimes its hard to find help if you have questions. Even though the staff is friendly and helpful, they seemed to be shorthanded sometimes, which can prove frustrating. Here's an example, but it's happened more then once to me. I was in the nursery last summer and had questions about some plants. It was busy and I was trying to get assistance to figure out what plant would do better on my patio. I asked the register girl (who was working in the nursery) and she said she didn't know that much about plants, and needed to call someone to help me. The guy came out, but ended up helping 3 other people and never got around to helping me. I stood there for 20 minutes with my plants thinking he was going to come back until the register girl asked if I had gotten the help I needed. When I said no, the guy came back out, apologized and assisted me with my plant questions. Was it resolved? Yea. But this has happened to me more then once. I think they may just need to hire more people, especially for help. I mean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable for the most part, but when its crazy, it can be hard to get in and out of the store quickly especially when its 110 degrees and you are roasting. Overall, I'm satisfied with coming here and really enjoy shopping here. read more

I love HD. But I don't recommend buying appliances from them. I have purchased a range, a dishwasher & a refrigerator. The dishwasher didn't wash the dishes & it didn't have a latch so I had to slam it shut, so I exchanged it. I purchased a range. The stovetop worked but not the stove & it was dented. I exchanged it for a different range, a Samsung. Same issue. The glass stovetop works but not the oven & the digital menu doesn't work. The refrigerator wouldn't sit straight upright so I'm exchanging it. Aside from the products, the delivery service is absolutely horrible. They use a third party company not affiliated with HD. I had an HD manager on the phone when their non-English speaking delivery guys showed up. They refused to give me my appliances & drove off with my 3 new appliances, HD had to go get them from the warehouse & deliver them. Then HD requested that Samsung come fix the new range. Instead it was the same horrible delivery guts that don't speak English who came to my house to repair? They got out of an unmarked truck with a screwdriver. They got in my face so I put my hands out asking them to step back with Covid being an issue, and they left! That's perfectly fine because I don't want those guys touching my range! I called HD manager & asked why Samsung didn't show up to repair. Mgr said they will get Samsung out ASAP. It's been a nightmare. The managers have assisted through the ordeal & credited my account for $550 for the trouble which was nice, but there's a problem when all of the new appliances I have purchased are damaged or don't work! My husband is a icu physician caring for covid19 pts and not ONE employee had PPE or were adhering to 6 feet distancing btwn employees and customers (despite wearing signage that said "6 feet social distancing") . The grotesque lack of leadership by management and employees was mirrored by most customers. My husband and were shocked and alarmed by the negligence and risk that management and employees are putting each other and their customers for contracting covid19. Home Depot advertises that military get 10% off everyday is a misnomer, military do not get 10% off appliances, special order items, or anything that is not a regular everyday item. It was disappointing that an item that is listed on their website, but does not have a home depot #, is considered special order, no discounts. Lowes will give their 10% on all items, appliances, etc. read more

This Home Depot has proven over and over again that they have fantastic customer service. I recently bought my first house, we were thrilled! Before we even found a house I was dreaming of all the fun projects I could do. When we found our house I immediately started working on projects. We purchased new flooring, all the supplies to remove popcorn ceiling, paint, tools, and so much more. My most recent project was a faux shiplap accent wall. To save money I used MDF board and went to town. I rented a nail gun that kept jamming. I came back and forth probably ten times while doing this project and the employees never made me feel stupid. We've purchased plants that the employees recommended and they are quickly transforming our front yard. So to complete our back yard we of course had to buy a big new grill. I wanted one that was already put together isn't the handiest and I didn't want to do it myself. It wouldn't fit into my car and the screws on the side were stripped so we couldn't take the sides off. I had to go pick up my son from school and take him to ABA therapy (for autism) and couldn't wait any longer, so I left and said I would come back in a few hours. Maybe a half hour later an employee called and offered to drop it off at our house as a courtesy the next day. I was shocked. Being in customer service management most of my working career I couldn't believe how kind they were being and as a full time busy working mom I was so relieved and overjoyed all at once. It didn't stop there, but when the driver dropped it off the next day he was so kind and without me having to ask offered to put it wherever I needed. I literally can't speak enough of these employees. I know from experience this type of service starts at the top and trickles down to everyone. I literally will never shop anywhere else for home improvement projects. read more

reading the reviews I'm somewhat perplexed. One might be left to wonder if they were talking about the same Home Depot where I prefer to shop despite having another store much closer. I have shopped at many home depots in the valley. My experience is that the one on West T. Bird by I-17 is one of the best, if not the best store to shop. Helpful staff, all friendly, willing to spend time with me, and eager to go the extra distance to make sure I get what i need. Not so crowded that I'm waiting for help/waiting to check out/waiting to return something. I drive the extra 8 miles each way just to luxuriate in the experience of shopping in a store where I'm treated like a customer. Another point to make is their store hours. They re open till 10:00, while most stores are closed at 9:00. That extra hour has helped me to finish jobs on time, and time is money. The unhappy reviewers may have been having a bad day, or the stars where not aligned just so, whatever the reason, my advice is to try them again. Or go to the more centrally located stores, where it's wall to wall people both inside and out and understaffed. Then re-evaluate my store's performance. a loyal customer read more

Called the tool rental dept on 4-7-19 to reserve a 12' scissor lift with trailer for 4-14 that was shown on the website. The person in the tool rental dept who answered the phone said they did not take reservations and it was a first come basis or you could call and they would hold it for 30 min. Bought and installed a trailer hitch on my truck and called today to see if it was better to pick it up tonight or tomorrow morning and was told that they needed to be reserved 24 hours in advance only delivered them and didn't even rent the one I asked about on 4-7-19. read more

However if you are thinking of buying something that has to be delivered to the store for pick-up DON'T!! The delivery service the Home Depot uses STINKS! They give you an estimated expected delivery date and then you WAIT! andWAIT! AND WAIT! And WAIT! They do not give you the name of the delivery service company, so your only choice is to wait. You can call the store, but why hassle the employees at the store...they can only tell you when they expect the merchandise to be delivered and if it's not...it's not..All you, or anyone can do is wait until the Delivery Service gets it there. Staff was not helpful, I had to go outside (105* degrees) to check for the information of the item that I want to purchase myself. They were too busy to do it, neither 3 employees could give me an answer and 30 minutes later manager Pablo showed up. I purchased the item then he sent me outside again to get more information of the item myself. 20 minutes later he told me that the item I just purchased is the wrong one and he has to return my money or I have to pay the difference. DON'T LET THEM HANDLE INSTALL OF ANY CARPET YOU BUY THERE!!!!!! I bought a specific carpet based on their stated ability to make sure it got installed within 7 days of paying for it. I let the carpet salesman know that when time I walked in. The installation company they contract with, US Installation Group, is HORRIBLE. When I paid for the carpet I was informed it was 7 business days not 7 days. The carpet company wanted to install it at 9 days. Home depot called them on my behalf TWICE and the best they could schedule was eight business days. The installation crew never showed up on the appointed day and I was told I'd be first the next day. When I called I was told I was in the 11a - 2p slot, not first as the guy on the phone said when they missed the appointment. I'd already called another carpet company and was 1/2 hr from taking an early lunch to go cancel my order when a guy showed up to install it at 9:30a. This was NOT the installer that USIG had sent me the picture of. I let him go ahead and do it, and then found out they let an UNLICENSED installer come by himself to do the install. Six years ago I bought carpet there and had no issues. This time it was such a bad experience I'll never go there for carper, or send anyone there for carpet, again. Yes - HD did refund me a portion of the cost of the carpet for all the trouble. While that's nice, it doesn't come near to changing my mind after the HORRIBLE experience with the installers. I needed a moving truck in order to relocate to the Bay Area. I am a cancer patient, and had to be with my children and grandchildren in order to receive the care, love and support I require to heal from the trauma in my body. I was doing this by myself, and still trying to find a way to load a truck, drive it, etc. I phoned the corporate office and requested their help in finding a location where they could pick me up and take me to the store to rent a truck. I told them my circumstance, that I had undergone bilateral mastectomies just weeks before. They gave me two phone numbers to call. The first, a self-storage, told me that they could not help me and hung up. The second, which was The Home Depot store #468, was so much more helpful. The associate I spoke with connected me with the manager, Dawn, who told me she would be more than happy to help me out. The day before I was to pick up the truck Dawn phoned me. She told me that she was going to deliver the truck to my house, and then she asked 'What if I bring some people with me to load the truck for you?' Oh my goodness! I was overcome with such profound feelings of gratitude. The truck was delivered the next day by Dawn and her crew. They all pitched in to load the truck! They even gave me hugs, told me that they would be praying for me and wishing me a safe journey! I recommend this Home Depot store to anyone who is in need of any help whatsoever! Through my business I spend a shipload of money at Home Depot every month. Recently I had a house measured for carpet, and the HD robo-caller was calling me twice a day about the order. So I decided I better go in to complete, and pay for the order. I sat around waiting, and waiting, and waiting at the flooring desk. While I sat waiting, I noticed a police officer walking through store with two Home Depot employees following behind, mocking and saluting her. They had time for this disrespectful nonsense, but no time to take a $6000 carpet order. I left the HD store, and went to Lowe's which had also completed a measurement for me. I come to Home Depot all the time for stuff. I'm constantly coming here for all my home garden needs. My house and yard are rather large and I'm the do it yourself type of girl. I tried to find the same garden items at lowe's and target but as far as gardening supplies goes, Home Depot has got them beat. Due to the large size of my yard I dot just need supplies, I need them in bulk or large containers to save money and I was able to find that here. I've always had good customer service and I've always been able to find what I need. read more

The parking lot is terrible. The layout is cramped and does not flow. It is always packed and never enough room. The contractors have to drive thru the regular shoppers and have no way around that. They didn't respond to him either. We waited 20 minutes for anybody to show up. Then we went to talk to a manager. They called him and he never showed up either. I worked in retail. They don't have enough staff and no one knows what they are talking about. While waiting for someone in doors i heard someone ask where something was and that two different people told him two different locations. So done with Home depot. I went in just to copy keys, not many associates around but Ron from garden found me in an aisle and was so helpful. Such a sweet man and super nice. He told me they were understaffed and he came from garden to help the main store. Even though he was from a different department he was super helpful and it didn't seem like he wasn't in his own department. Definitely recommend going to Ron if u need anything but more specifically if you're looking for information with the garden center! read more
