Every time I go to Home Depot, I just want to bring some new plants home or get some new Halloween decorations. My most recent visit, I came to get new copies of keys. Lol, not gonna lie, I have never done this on my own before and I had no idea it was that fast + easy! There's key copying machines, which you're allowed to do yourself but I found that the options were a bit limited. I was able to get ahold of one of the workers and he was able to make me a hello kitty key! It also did not take long at all... only a few minutes. read more

I got deliver last week ( 60 pewter square concrete steps) , 1 pice 90lbs I paid $79 for deliver to my house, but they gave me 10 broken I came to the store tell with them and show the pictures for broken, but they said I have to bring back store for return, too heavy for me (900 lbs total), that why I paid $79 for deliver That very poor customers service , the manage very mean, and not professional, I hope they have new manage, she so mean with her employees. This store is absolute garbage. Whoever manages this store should be fired. The staff runs around like wild animals more concerned about store drama than the customer in front of them. Standing around not friendly and no help at all. Saw employees almost fist fight. Who is in charge here? 48 hours for a store pick up of 2 boxes placed online. Called and said they couldn't complete the order that day, of two boxes, because it was father's day. The time spent on the phone telling me that they could have easily put 2 boxes on a cart. Lazy and Atrocious customer service, always poor attitudes. Do your job, not that hard. Have spent thousands at this location, but will drive further now to avoid this absolute clown show. read more

The store is fine, never had a problem with selection, staff, etc., and I only give single star to draw attention to the exterior alongside Willard Street --deplorable. This Home Depot dropped off a new stove for my apartment and they took the old one with them. Upon leaving they dropped the old stove and it shattered all over my main road. They left without telling me they left glass all over the street. I thankfully was walking outside soon after they left and found all the glass and then had to clean it up myself. I then tried to call the store to complain about their drivers safety habits and I was sent to a manager. Upon telling the manager the story they hung up on me without saying a thing. When I tried to call back they would not answer. Horrible horrible service read more

Employees here are not helpful! I initially visited the Home Depot in Dorchester for a nut driver. Unfortunately, this location did not have any in stock; however, advised me to go to The Home Depot in Quincy as it showed 9 in stock. I went to The Home Depot in Quincy the same day and asked at least three different employees for assistance. One directed me to the first aisle, which was certainly incorrect as the correct aisle happened to be in aisle 12 (found out after walking through the entire store). We then ask another employee, in which he said he's blind and suggested to ask someone else...there were no other employees in this section of the sales floor to assist. We finally reached the cashier and asked the employee to help. She told us to go to the hardware section and will call someone to help. Ten minutes later she finally called someone to the hardware section through the intercom. As I'm writing this review, I have yet to be helped by an employee! To mention, everything here is very unorganized! read more

Ordered my refrigerator from here. Gave the woman my dimensions for the door ways inside and outside and somehow a refrigerator comes that doesn't fit. I am a chef so I need a working refrigerator at all times, and I explained this in depth numerous times. I paid for the item in full yet the refund for the item took almost a month. Was given a loaner that was pretty much a mini fridge, couldn't even fit a pizza box in it. It was delivered with a broken wheel on my front porch. Not to mention they were supposed to bring me loaner fridge earlier that day but delivered it to the wrong address. They left a new loaner outside of some random persons house, in the driveway but tried to convince me it was delivered to me I had to use coolers and bags of ice for almost two weeks due to their negligence & incompetence The managers there do not converse with each other and have no clue what is actually going on, manny in particular. The first time I had an issue I went to the store and requested to speak with him; but he relayed the information through another associate and didn't speak with me. I ended up driving back and forth probably 10 times before I actually got a refrigerator that would fit within the dimensions I provided from the start. So many failed follow ups and empty promises. Specifically instructed to have delivery dropped in a specific location, in the back of the driveway close to the garage, they dumped it at the top of the driveway, some 40 ft further than I wanted it. The first time I've ever felt compelled to write a review. Some of the worst customer service I've ever seen in any store. i bought a $750 grill that they were supposed to assemble and they "lost" it in the store. I waited over 3 weeks and had to call and sit on hold for 20+ minutes, was told by the manager Janice that I'd get a call back almost every time and never received one. they ended up having to refund me after about 3 weeks. Absolutely atrocious customer service. I'm here to get some paver sand. According to the website, they have 181 of the bags in stock. I need 5 or 6. There are 3 broken on a pallet. So, I had a cashier call for assistance in the isle. I heard the announcement. It's been 10-15 minutes... I've had 3-4 store associates look at me but not one of them came my way. Management should be embarrassed... but I'm sure they aren't. read more

Yesterday, I purchased a lock at the Home Depot on Willard St in Quincy. When I got home I noticed that it was missing some parts. Today, I attempted to return the lock, but I did not have the receipt. They agreed to a store credit which worked bc I just wanted the same lock. They then said that the computer would not allow it bc I paid cash. I insisted that it shouldnt make any difference. Afterall I paid for the lock and I just wanted one with all the parts. After 20 minutes of waiting I decided to just pay for another lock and get out of there. While I was picking up the 2nd lock, I watched the girl who didnt allow me to return the lock putting it back on the shelf. Holy customer F.U.s. We got one sucker to pay this and even though we know that it does't have all the parts, lets just sell it again. This review has to do with the Home Depot contractor they use for delivery. I am posting this on the Yelp site because it is part of the Home Depot shopping experience and they certainly could choose to use a different partner for shipping. Until they do, my previous 5 star opinion of Home Depot has gone to 1 star and I strongly urge anyone requiring appliance delivery to choose a different option. Spirit Logistics delivery drivers are rude, belligerent, pushy, and wanted access to my home via lockbox when they arrived 45 minutes before the delivery window they gave me, and hung up on me in pique when I couldn't and wouldn't give it to them. I don't think they are even supposed to leave appliance deliveries inside the home without someone present and it certainly didn't feel like a safe thing to do (even without COVID) And good luck reaching a customer service rep on the phone to complain about this! Unfortunately you may be stuck with them if you order from Home Depot so I urge people to shop at Lowe's or Amazon or somewhere else instead until Home Depot finds a partner that doesn't cut corners and push for unsafe deliveries. And if those companies cut corners too, rent a truck and pick it up at the store before you let Spirit get their hands on your money, phone number and address. I wish I had known to do that. read more

Terrible customer service. Did not for fill my needs at all. He got upset with me after I said could you check in the back like it's not his job to do that. We proceeded to tell the worker that there was microwaves there because that's what it said on their computer but he still didn't give us what we wanted. Then he just kept giving me problems. It's a great store... first of the mega hardware stores and the best. Lowe's pales in comparison and I think that is why many Lowe's closed. Everything from A to Z. Nice thing is you can have boards cut to dimension. Huge. Great location. Plenty of parking and a very nice staff. Weekends... yeah expect the craft-mommies to clog up the place. Great electrical section. They do sell Klein. Great prices. No negatives. read more

I was there on September 3rd around 8pm. I had a few questions about a leaf blower. I asked One lady she told me to go to hardware and wait. I waited there for 10 minutes and I found someone else and asked them. they told me to go see somebody else. I saw somebody else at customer service and they told me to wait again? this place has the absolute worst customer service. nobody in there wants to do anything. I ended up ordering my leaf blower on Amazon. this is why Amazon is winning because of lazy stupid people read more

This review is a month over due. But I need to thank the staff at the Quincy location. I was in need of custom shelves. I called before I made my way and spoke to Derek from the lumber department. He was super helpful and provided an estimate of how much my shelves might cost. I arrived shortly after and was led to a man named Curtis. Curtis showed me various options and then cut the wood into shelves. Also, I expressed my need to build or find a a desk and with the extra material, Curtis went out of his way to actually build me a desk so quickly! A whole desk ! Curtis went above and beyond providing me with the best service ever. Curtis you're amazing - the best!! Leaving, a young guy named Philip was outside gathering carts. He helped me to load everything in my car and was so patient. The Quincy team is really awesome. Thank you all for your great service! read more

First time having Home Depot install a special order door. The door was missing all the screw caps and the installer did a terrible job with the trim work. But what gets better is when you have to pay $75 out of your pocket cash to the installer to make the door fit that you have already paid for! Good thing I spent $1400 and had them do a "professional install". Waited over 1 month for the door to be installed. When we called the store they provided bad customer service and would give us the run around. read more

Jim in millwork is incredibly helpful - when someone actually picks up the phone and puts me in touch with him. I've asked for him by name on over three occasions, I always ask politely, and all but once I've been given the run-around or simply left waiting with the dial tones. It shouldn't be this difficult to get in touch with someone, and if he's not in simply look at the schedule and tell me when to call next. I fail to understand the lack of transparency and communication between the reps that pick up the phone and the customer. More like "doers, sure, but sorely unable to get stuff done". read more

I usually have no idea where I'm going in this store since there's so much there but I always find a sales associate who helps point me in the right direction. Last time I was in there it was for bathroom tiles and the ones I bought were of good quality and they had the color that I was looking to buy. It's close to home so whenever I need any home improvement supplies or hardware I always hit this place up. They sell store gift cards here so that makes it convenient around the holidays when I am shopping for my dad or my brother. read more

Quincy, MA, Willard St. store DO NOT even think of buying an appliance from this store and expect to get it delivered from them. What a joke, 2x a truck breakdown...really???. Told me at 10:30 that I was next, HA! At noon I called, and again for a second time the truck doing my delivery had broken down. What are the chances? By then I had emptied the frig and freezer, and I was the one that called them. I asked to speak to the manager, they said he was tending to a fire...what a creative bunch...should put that creativity to better use like finding a competent delivery service. I would gladly have paid for a REAL delivery service, but was not given that option. I should have gone to Yale in the first place, shame on me. read more

If I could give a negative star I would ! Not just this store, but the business in general is the most piss poorly run organization I've ever seen. It just goes to show how high the mark up is on the crap they sell that they can stay open ! Not 1 employee can give any usable advise. They move the items around so much nobody can tell you where anything is ! Half of the items they sell are not approved to be installed in Massachusetts! Their GLACIER BAY faucet has to much lead in casting metal to be installed in state. Think of that when you send your kid to brush his teeth at night... The hot water heater has a plastic drain installed in the bottom, I saw a delivery once of a washing machine and they caught the corner of machine on plastic and it broke off shooting scorching hot water all over the basement which ended up destroying the family room the homeowners had just finished putting in ! Most if not all of the trash vanities don't have overflow holes in the mold of the sink so if a child or someone leaves the sink running as kids will do the water will end up flooding over the rim of sink. The state has laws and rules in their building codes for a reason and this foolish store breaks just about every single 1 in some way or another. They have companies build products you buy elsewhere like delta and Kohler faucets, are made strictly for the cheapo depot. The drain assembly is made of garbage plastic instead of solid brass from other supply houses, and instead of repairable rubber washers on the hot and cold stems, they use a ceramic disk that is not replaceable and will last a matter of months before wearing down and beginning to leak ! People are doing more damage to their houses than they think is possible by using this trash, and home inspections are starting to pick up on them when the house is being sold making the homeowners do thousands of dollars in repairs to bring things up to code. The tools with brand names like milwaukee which you would think was made there, is custom made for the depot in China using plastic gears and crap inside so your drills and saws burn out after a year if your lucky of use... Do your homework, the lumber is not dried out so you build a wall and it looks straight for a week and then it starts to twist and warp as it dries and your plaster and paint starts to Crack and screws start popping out-of the finished wall ! You know you've all seen it ! This place put good business's that were around for years out of business because people got lazy and thought they could get everything in 1 place ! You may be able to but it's garbage and you will be replacing and fixing it instead of living in the house for years with no problems. A house that was built in the last 10 years now with this idiotic company around looks like it's 100 years old inside the way everything has sunk shrunk and settled ! There should be class action lawsuits in every state running this company and all the crap products that it builds itself to sell in their stores out of business and bring back real lumber yards supply housesthat sell quality American made products. Ordered online for pickup at the Quincy, MA (Willard St.) branch. The website said 8 of my desired item were on-hand while most other stores in greater Boston had said out-of-stock, or 1 in stock. Made sense to choose a branch with 8 of them, right? The pickup confirmation took over 24 hours to arrive. I went there. The curbside locker popped open and the locker was... empty! Customer Service figured out my order was put in the wrong locker. However, it proved to be the wrong item, resembling what I wanted, but the wrong version. The clerk helping me searched, but there were none, just like all the other stores. Two stars because they were at least apologetic, pleasant, and attentive, and they were wearing masks. read more

Tried to get some specs and info for a new fridge and the woman working in the department was ridiculously unhelpful. Ask a question and she would go to her computer, print something out, hand it to us and walk away. Ask her another question and she would give a very curt "I don't know" or "I have to ask someone"...and if you dare ask a question after that she walked away mid-sentence, no joke, to talk to another customer. So, we decided to go to the customer service desk. The guy there said, "Oh, go talk to the 'Pro' guys down there to your right." Okay. Went down there and that desk had closed an hour before. You work in the same building and didn't know they had already closed? Unbelievable. I get that you probably get paid shit money but maybe care a little more about your job or you'll lose even more customers. Went across the street to Lowe's and was immediately helped, got ALL questions answered AND it was slightly cheaper. read more

Totally and completely useless. The hardware section was an utter mess! I asked for help matching screws and washers, because everything was out of order, and I was told by the uniformed worker, "I don't know nothin' about hardware! And the guy who works here, he ain't even here!" If you don't know anything about hardware, WHY ARE YOU WORKING IN A HARDWARE STORE? He showed absolutely zero willingness to help. And didn't help at all. The light bulbs were similarly all over the place. Come on! Is it that hard to make sure everything's not a disaster? Late March I needed a new refrigerator. Went to their Center St. Quincy MA store. The salesman was very knowledgeable and patient. I ended up purchasing all (4) new LG kitchen appliances. It was downhill from there on. Delivery was awful. They installed the microwave incorrectly as well as the water line for the refrigerator. Trying to get through to customer services is the worst. They sent 2 more 'supposed' service persons. It wasn't until I was finally able to get an LG service person to repair the issues correctly. Don't bother trying to send their customer service an email as the email address is not monitored. August 15th I then wrote a letter to the district manager as well as the Pres. of Northern Division to document my concerns. To date I have not received a response. Very frustrating! read more

First I only go here when Curry Hardware is closed. The staff make inappropriate comments.. My wife had a bucket of decorations for a Christmas tree in the cart, there are 50 ornaments in the container. What does the guy say ??? "You sure got alot of balls..." "HA HA HA HA you really are a funny guy!? You sure got alot of balls saying that to my wife."... 'that's not what i meant...' sure it isn't buddy.... Can you cut a key? "nope that guy only works 9-5"... wow OK, it's 630 and you close at 9pm.. how does no one else know how to cut a key? "I need help cutting some blinds to size can you help me?" "nope, i don't do that." ... Next day we go in at noontime ask the same question "oh that guy is on break, let me see if i can find him"... we waited over 45 minutes. FINALLY someone came back, after i pressed the 'need help?" button every 2 minutes. He talks to my wife (who wanted these cut) like she's 12, "listen you have to measure it from inside the window..." ... Wife turns to me and said "You deal with him, clearly he thinks I'm stupid"... Do you sell propane tanks? "yep!", can you fill them? "nope, but you can trade it at curry hardware.. or drive to Avon or Taunton".. The tank at HD is 30$+tax, the filled tank at Curry is 42$ w/tax. It costs 22$ to swap it... My math isn't the best but that sounds like an awfully terrible deal. Listen if I was going to have it filled there wouldn't you think I'd have driven there rather than here?!?! The list goes on and on and on... Bottom line, if you need something and you know where it is, and it doesn't require brain power, get it otherwise go to the other Home depot a little further away, at least they don't try to insult you, and try to be helpful. read more

I have just had the worst online/retail experience I have ever had from the HD. I have been a long time customer and will never do business with them again. I think what hurt most is that they didn't give a s*** about my situation. Their customer service was the worst!!!! Called 9X over 4 days not one promise was kept. Emails never came and in the end after at least 10 hours I was put in touch with "Joshua". Joshua doesn't report to anyone. Apparently his last name is Homedepot. Joshua told me to pound sand. I cancelled my $4800 order and will never go back. read more

Not always fully stocked.. but when you're looking for a shovel and washer fluid moments before a blizzard, it does it job! They have quite a few of shovels to select from. Of course, for me with a bad back, I chose one that is suppose to alleviate back pain. The staff is always friendly there and seems to know where everything is. read more
