Then went looking for my item by the lumber and cement and again Could not find one other employee so I walked to customer Service and finally spoke to TEIRRA, who really helped! When I told her what I needed she said at that moment the person Best to guide me was right there unpacking something! She asked him to help me.... But by his expression he told me where to go... and TEIRRA told him to take me... so he did! Bottom line..... I'm always going to find TEIRRA INSTEAD OF WONDERING AROUND LOOKING FOR HELP! She seems to be on the BALL AND KNOWS WHATS SHE IS DOING! We need more like her and at EVERY DEPARTMENT! It's always the same, walk around the whole store to get help! Now I have a person to go to! I was sent to this Home Depot to find a bolt--something I had no knowledge of. When I arrived, a gentleman kindly directed me to the hardware section and even made sure I found my way there. Once I got there, the hardware lady was amazing! She helped me with ease, and I felt so grateful for her patience and knowledge. I was so moved by my experience that I felt compelled to write this review. I was looking at the bottom of my receipt for a survey code, but I was informed it would be sent to my email instead. The older gent just took the paper out of my wife hand without even saying hi and told us to go find someone who speaks Chinese because he saw the note and assume it was in Chinese. A once proud franchise that is now run by complete buffoons. Needed help in the garden section, which was deserted except for a large flock of crazed birds that were wildly feasting on seeds and other garden products. Bags were ripped open with product all over the floor, really nice. Finally tracked down a worker who said he'd find a garden associate. Person was paged twice, no one showed up. Ten minutes later I went back to garden section and ran into a dude who said he worked in garden....awesome! Alas he had never heard of vermiculite before, I should have just asked the birds for help instead. read more

Have people available when customers need help...everyone can't be on break at the same,can they?? Then I have the manager paged ,I voice my concerns brushed me off,and said he can t have people in every isle,I proceed to tell him ....i tried getting help in 3 different isles and either no one's there or I'm told I'm on break!!!! The manager proceeded to siblings a young lady help me...but clearly she was out her element as he just asked her,instead of helping me his self ,because no one else was around!!! So very happy with the folks working at this store. My first stop was the nursery and two men came over to help me (unasked) with everything I needed. Then I headed over to the blinds section. After getting overwhelmed by all their choices (lots of inventory which is a good thing), a woman named Vidal came to my rescue. She went over all my questions then selected all the sizes I needed. Very helpful!! I had previously been to Ace Hardware in Quincy and the woman working downstairs with the blinds could not have been any less interested. After she told me to look at the blinds they had in the ceiling (??), I asked her for help. She rolled her eyes and told me they didn't have what I needed and they would have to order it. Hardly any inventory. Oh well..my first stop will be Home Depot going forward! read more

I am exceedingly disappointed in Home Depot today. I ordered two space heaters on their website because it said they could deliver the two heaters to my home today -- LIE. They are not able to deliver them. They kept me waiting until it was too late to go out and get them from elsewhere... Amazon at least admits when they cannot get something to you by the date when you need it... Home Depot mis-leads you and gets to purchase the item from them... They do not understand that an item is only what you want / need if you get it by when you agreed when ordering it. I am done with Home Depot. read more

I've had good experiences with this location in the past but like a lot of people during this time I've been doing some small upgrades to the house. 1 small project was to update the tile in front of my fire place. Found the exact tile I want but it was not in-stock at the store so I ordered 30 6"x6" tiles on-line for curbside pickup. The tiles are not sold separately, they come in a 30pk case which was perfect for my project. Did the curbside pickup and when I opened box at home there were only 20 tiles. Called customer service who told me I could contact company where tiles were shipped from. The tile company told me it would be weeks before they could send the other 10 but I needed them so I said I would wait. It took about a month to finally get them and when I open the box at home 7 of the 10 tiles are chipped/broken???? Longer story short I bought another 30pk box of them (29 received). When I took the 7 tiles to the store for credit they told me I would have to return the whole case to get credit. I know. Shame on me from getting tiles shipped and I will never do that again but I have other projects for the house and was going to be purchasing everything from Home Depot but now they've lost my business because of this whole fiasco. read more

As I drive to the store and walked around all while on speaker phone ; finally someone answered ! Next: while in store : I went to paint section looking for various items in that section: 8 employees ( I counted ) in this dept standing around chatting about the old high school days and not a one assisted me at the paint counter ! Great staff. Plenty of parking. Classes to learn new skills. A small but serviceable Dunkies. Clean and well organized and laid out. Not a place for kids. Very industrial. Wow where do I start? I've been here 3 times the last 2 days with what I thought was a pretty simple errand; I needed to make a copy of my house key. It's not a special key of any kind but alas, I still had such a maddening experience. On my first visit yesterday, customer service was courteous enough but when I got home, I realized that the new key couldn't open the door. Understanding that these things happen, I went back to see if someone could fix the key. Trip #2 I was helped by another nice man and we thought we had fixed the problem but I got home only to realize that now, both keys (my original and the new key) didn't work! How does that happen? I'm not sure what kind of training is involved in making key copies but please note they just don't do it well here. Fast forward to trip #3 - Holding 2 keys that don't work and a third and final copy I have that can open my door, I walked up to the customer service desk to request help via intercom after standing in the key aisle (aisle 27 to be exact) for 15 minutes. Another 10 minutes goes by and I tried flagging down 2 employees who were walking by. Their reply you may ask? "We'll get to you in a minute" and that was the last I saw of them. Finally, frustrated beyond belief, I walked over to the Tools department only to be told that the hardware department was "not his department". Between the lack of knowledge and the non-responsiveness of the employees, this location is in sore need of more personnel training on all fronts. read more

Instead of having an immature sales associate making customers feel stupid for entering the wrong door during pandemic times, maybe you need to access why are all these customers continually going to the wrong door to enter the store. Maybe all these yellow signs I put up are not that easy to see in the sun or the yellow arrows on the ground are blending in with the other yellow hash marks on the ground. Maybe I should put up a large black/red do not enter sign at that door (facing the parking lot, not low down on the door where no one can see it until they approach). I wish I could give this store 0 stars. My boyfriend and I ordered a washer and dryer from this store in June, and with multiple visits and phone calls for almost 2 months, we ended up with no products. We ran into multiple issues with our purchase, from ordering the machines to the delivery. We wasted hours trying to make this work, but in the end, we were left with unprofessional management who wanted to charge us an extra $150. There was also an employee who was unapologetic and wasted our time by sharing details about her personal life. We didn't come into Home Depot to hear about how our lives aren't difficult and hers is because she has kids with lots of laundry and the fact that she has to share a washer and dryer with the other tenants in her building. I'll be nice and keep her name off of this review. I'm also surprised that management did not care when we said we would be taking all future business to Lowe's. It seems as if they did not want to deal with their problems. Avoid this Home Depot and save yourself a headache. We will be taking all of our future business to Lowe's across the street, as many Yelpers have already suggested. read more

Be aware - when you get a delivery from Home Depot (appliance) they out source it to an independent company in particular this one is called spirt logistics. Don't let them deliver to your house. They hit my car with the washer coming up my driveway and didn't even have the decency to tell me. I called the company immediately and told the women I spoke to that I understand accidents happen but I can't believe the guys didn't even tell me - her answer was " they probably didn't k ow they hit it". So I filed a claim took pictures and of course they denying the big white scratch on my driver side door from the white washer they just delivered. I called Home Depot / They don't care.... so be aware and if one there contractors delivers something from them make sure you Video it because the companies they contract there work are not very ethical. read more

Ok, I've had enough. You'd think the sign out front declaring "we put our customers first!" or something like that would be true since Lowes moved in across the street. My experiences there within the past year have proven that this isn't true. Now when I ask for some assistance from an employee I find myself walking up sheepishly to them because more often than not I get the feeling I am interrupting what they are doing and helping me is the last thing they want to do. I always have to go looking for them for help. For various recent projects I've been bounced around the store from department to department because the person who is helping me at the time don't know the answers to my questions. I must have logged about 2 miles walking the other day going from one department "they might have fittings for you in aisle 14", to have the person in aisle 14 tell me I should go back to the aisle I just came from. The person who I dealt with today was probably the least approachable person I've ever dealt with. I felt I needed to apologize when asking him for help twice. I needed 2 10 foot 3/4 inch pvc pipes cut in to 4 pieces. That's 3 cuts per pipe. When I told him this he said "that's a big job. I can't do that" and told me to go to the wood section where they have a hack saw table and cut it myself. Excuse me? Making 6 friggin' cuts is "too big of a job"!? What would it have taken him? Perhaps a minute? Cutting through pvc pipe with a hacksaw at Home Depot is not what I had in mind. I just brought it home and cut it with my rotary saw. Took about a minute. I've had different people "help" me at the pipe cutting station and every time I get an attitude or a feeling that I'm inconveniencing them. I added a second star due to the time when I accidentally left a bag with some fittings in the parking lot. I came back and couldn't find them. I went in and told the customer service employee what happened. They checked my receipt and let me grab the same stuff without a hassle. I've gone to Home Depot simply because I know the layout of the store. Not anymore. Hello Lowes! You're getting my money now. read more

When I walked in and needed help finding an item, a store employer not only told me which isle it was located in, he brought me to the isle and helped me find what I was looking for. A couple days later, I returned the item and was a breeze. Overall, this is a pretty good place. Haven't tried Lowe's yet, but I would definitely come back here more often. read more

After researching and watching several youtube videos on how to hack ikea rast nightstands.... I went to Home Depot. I was told they provide services to cut onsite. I came in with my measurements and headed to the wood section. This was around 1pm today (Saturday). It takes forever to find someone and when I did I was brought to Jeff. Jeff tells me what I'm looking for is a few aisles over when I told him that I was sent to ask him, he reluctantly came to assist. I told him clearly what I wanted, and he second guessed all of it. I even provided a picture of what I was trying to do. Then he proceeded to tell me how I could use a manual saw in that aisle to cut my own trim and it should be an easy job for me and left me there. I headed to customer service which was the most help, I received in pointing me to Dave in wood. Dave sacrificed his lunch to help me with two boards for shelves. He just kept asking me if I really wanted certain pieces of would that was "good quality" because it might be expensive. According to Dave there is a limit to how much wood pieces they can cut and his boss would be mad if he cut too much wood (his words). Jeff told me the cutting machine was out of order but coincidently Dave moved the "out of service " board to use that machine to cut my wood for the shelves. There was more I needed for my task. But it took me two hours being sent backwards and forwards to leave with two shelves and 2 packs of L brackets. I will get the rest of my material online. I would only recommend this home depot if you were truly doing it all yourself. This is not for anyone truly in need of assistance. read more

HD, you are no longer the only game in town. I'm taking all my future business to Lowe's!!!!! Readers should also!!! Bought the last Ryobi belt sander. Box was taped closed. Got home and sander was dirty, used, banged up, and sander belt didnt turn!!!! It was 100 per ct unusable! This is typical of HD to accept a returned, heavily used item (which is also broken!) and resell it as NEW!!! What a scam!!! Really, return desk worker, you couldnt plug it in to test it before restocking it as new??? I called and spoke with customer service manager who refuuuuuuuused to order a new sander so I could come in and exchange them. Why? Because I would have to prepay for it!!!! And his sarcasm and interrupting me I could do without. I asked to speak to store manager Chris Hogan and was told he "has no voicemail." Suuuure he doesn't, troglodyte HD "customer service" manager. Enough of the entitled attitudes of these HD people who fail to comprehend that Quincy shoppers now have options!!!! Hey! It's Home Depot! What's really not to like! The only thing about this home depot is the setup is so freaking confusing... I was walking all over the place trying to find anything!!! The appliance section is SUPER small..nothing like the other Home Depot's. If you are looking for appliances I'd definitely go to one of the other stores..The Home Depot in Avon has a HUGE selection of appliances it has two levels..This only had a few..and everything was so tight together. It was an amazing idea that they had a big section set up in the front of the store yesterday for all the people who had flooded basements due to the nor'easter we just got. The section had everything you could ever need for a flooded basement. It was easy access so you didn't have to trek through the entire store...Excellent idea! read more

I cannot believe the 6+ hours it took to rectify an issue caused by terrible delivery men. After spending $1600 on a washer & dryer, I would hope that I would have the appliances & install I paid for and be treated respectfully. After waiting 2 weeks for the delivery, the service men came & told us that because we eventually wanted our units stacked (& did not have a stacking kit), we needed to call our local Home Depot & have someone else come out. I asked him if he could just install them side by side but he said it was pointless since this was a simple "service call." We tried to refuse service because we knew this wouldn't get resolved, especially in the same day, but he instead insisted and unloaded them right in the middle of our house. He also forgot to deliver the add ons that we paid for in advance. Last but certainly not least, he didn't haul away our old appliances that we also paid in advance to have hauled away. Fast forward an hour later, I get ahold of the delivery service that tells us that this is on HD to resolve, then HD conveniently blames the delivery service. Also, we had so many useless or incredibly rude employees either not return our calls or give us the wrong information. Shoutout to the rude man answering the phones at the pro desk on Saturday (never gave us his name), Melinda (who gave us the wrong phone number to follow up with), Linda, and Amanda who worked for the delivery service. The only helpful person I spoke with today was Jessica McGill. Home Depot should probably look into some customer service retraining or maybe just hiring some people that don't hate talking to human beings. We are now hiring someone local to come install our washer and dryer tomorrow as well as haul away the old appliances. read more

This comment is about the Home Depot at 465 Centre St, Quincy, MA 02169 ONLY. I was looking for a faucet hose replacement for my parents' house. Since they couldn't remember the brand of their faucet. I brought the hose with me and hope the staff at Home Depot could help me. Took me a while to find a staff who could help me. As directed, I went to aisle 31, but I couldn't find what I needed. When asking the staff who was working in that aisle about hose replacement, he told me to go online and see the Home Depot had any. I then asked him if he would be able to help me determine which type of hose I should look for, based on the opening of the old hose. He said the customer service at the front of the store could help me. The gentleman also appeared to have difficulty understanding my request. Went to the customer service. Two available ones were chatting. After waiting for a while, one of them was ready to help. Inform her the issue. Then she said she needed the brand, size, etc. If I had those info, wouldn't I be searching online myself? The same gentleman walked by. I told the lady that he said customer service could help. The lady asked him. He lied and said he didn't say so. Then went to Lowe's. Although I couldn't find what I needed, the staff was extremely helpful and helped me determine what I might need. Checked their system to see if they had any similar parts. Since they didn't seem to carry the kind of faucet hose I needed, the staff recommended me to go to a plumbing outlet which sells a lot of plumbing parts. I went to the suggested place. One of the staffs there saw the opening of my faucet hose and could immediately tell that it's a Moen faucet and the model number of our faucet. Clearly the staff at Home Depot is inexperience, very different from what they advertise!!! read more

You'd think you wont find a shovel nor a long ass car brush after the start of a brutal snowstorm. I was driving by so I thought I'd stop by to see if I had any karma on a Thursday night before I hunker down for the nor'easter. What ya know, I didn't even have to go search for them! It's right inside the entrance. I could careless for a shovel.. I really needed the long ass car brush for my first winter with my SUV. I admit, I'm too darn short to remove snow on car roof with a regular sized car brush! I tell ya, this brush I got, rocks!! It sure made snow removal a jiffy on a Friday afternoon after mother natured dumped over a foot of snow over my head! Since the light bulb section was next to this, I strolled over to see if they have the new Philips LED Slimstyle A series which is suppose to be priced under $10 (maybe $3 or $4 with rebates). Out of luck, I wanted to see how the paddle look with no heat sink rocks. I'm here already so I picked up a couple LED MR16 35w equiv by Philips for $11.97 since it was like almost half off original price. There are a few LED Cree A19 60w equiv lighting some areas of the house. It does light up much better than the CFL. Praise the landlord in making some updates - for $7.97 a bulb that has 10 yr waranty, why not! read more
