This by far has to be the worse Home Depot, I've walked into and Redlands at that I was flabbergasted. Store associates on the phone, no associates in some departments and chatting with each other however at self check out there is is someone to check you out .. contradicting actions so I thought. I wasn't able to retrieve an item myself so I searched for an associate which took 10 minutes then waited in the garden department for 20 minutes because I was told there would be someone coming to assist me. No one showed up, so I got my other items and let the cashier (at self check out) know what items I wanted and if anyone was able to get the soil down that I wanted. Xenia stated that she would call someone to bring items and load them into my vehicle and to wait in the front loading area. I waited in the loading area for another 20 minutes before going inside. Immediately I was greeted however before I could even finish explaining what I was waiting for the associate interrupted me with some malarkey stating I had to go to garden when the gate was closed and I was told to wait in a specific area. I then asked for a manager, I was told that she was on her way but I found Janessa in customer service on her personal phone there was a line but I just asked if the manager was in the area and she spoke up. I explained to her my issue on waiting/no on in department and she responded with if I want I can get a refund. No "I can make it better attitude" or even apology for inconvenience. I went in to home Depot just looking for a couple small garden gates so I can block off an area in the yard where I don't want my daughter going....well I found this gate and each piece was $20!!! no way am I spending that on a couple gates so I asked for help and Terry helped me. she is the nicest lady and very helpful!! she basically told me how to build my own and even got all the supplies for me she even pushed the shopping cart !! Greg was very helpful as well he helped get a couple supplies for us and cut them to the. length I needed... after we were all down Terry took me to the check out I paid and she had me go get my car and she even loaded everything up for me. I was in the lumber section getting some wood for this project I was doing, this older man named James came up to me to ask if I needed help and was soooo nice, he helped me cut what I needed and since the lumber I got wasn't too pretty (there wasn't much to choose from what I wanted), James gave me a discount also! His clothes were covered in work stuff, so I know he's been working hard, he was so nice and helpful, please keep him longer than seasonal! DO NOT GO TO HOME DEPOT IN Redlands. They are slow to deliver on services. I understand the pandemic has reduced staff services at businesses but this is absolutely ridiculous. They are argumentative and rude here. Customer service is not this Home Depot's forte. I need a security door and it's a whole process of waiting weeks for them to schedule an appointment, send someone out to measure, the vendor emails you, Home Depot is then supposed to contact you, but they never did so I had to call, then you have to go the store and discuss materials and price and then schedule another appointment for installation which could take weeks. So we left all the items we had already gathered behind and went to Lowe's. They were super helpful at Lowe's so they got our $2500. The flooring department is the worst at Customer Service, Communication and Time management. I purchased laminate flooring here and from the measurements appointments ( yes I had 2 different ones bc they screwed up the first time) to ordering the " correct " material, to the "3rd party" ( that they blame everything on, to the installation appointment, to delivery appointments ( 2 again), to my profile information and how they could never find my order, even after paying $6,500, to my refund. Let me start by saying I work retail as a retiree because during the pandemic, and even today, it's hard to keep people not sure what's going on with the young people these days, but nobody wants to work now having said that my experience yesterday at Home Depot I was frustrated i had been to two Lowe's couldn't get anybody to come help us in the sink department for kitchens three times they announced help aisle 32 nobody ever came but people were standing around but Not there department. I received a message stating that my order was going to be returned so I went back to curbside pick up and no one was there. Went inside and there was a sign that said online pick up and after hours. Stood in line for 30 minutes and a cashier comes up to me and states I'm in the wrong line?!? Then she tells me I have to stand in another line. If I could give Home Depot zero stars, I would. On February 7th, l purchased a microwave for my mom, including the 3-year warranty and installation. When their delivery company, Temco arrived at her house it was damaged. The exact same microwave was delivered during the second delivery attempt. Frustrated, I went to the store and cancelled the order. They failed to cancel the order on their end. On February 25th, I went to the Home Depot Monrovia location to get my refund and was there for an hour and a half. Assistant manager, Jaime said he would take care of it. I went to the Garden Dept to get some pool supplies and Rhonda ( Store Employee) asked if I needed any help and told me the the Pool Salt with tears in the bag were 50% off, she was very nice and helpful. I bought all the bags that had been damaged and several other thing. Rhonda helped me load the salt and take them to my Truck. This was a horrible experience. I was able to put in a pick up for 2 natural color bamboo fences. (Online it said they had 7 in stock) I get a call later saying that they actually do not have that in but do have it in a different color. Which was okay. I drove TWO hours to pick them up because we need them since our puppy keeps jumping our wall. Once I got there the curb side woman would not help us. She was eating a meal in the street without a mask on. So we went inside and waited in a long return/customer service line because one of the employees was only on her second day and no one was helping her. We finally got our order and one of the two fences was the wrong/a different fence. Then the employee couldn't figure out how to give us a refund on the item that I didn't order. No one was helping her and I felt bad but also was extremely upset considering we ordered two because we needed two and that's why we drove two hours. They did not have another fence for us. And then we waited for someone to help us to the car and no one did. So we had to do that ourselves which was very difficult. ON TOP OF ALL THAT - SO MANY PEOPLE WERE NOT WEARING ANY MASKS. Customers and employees. Not a single person was told to wear a mask- even though there are clear mask mandate rules and a sign on the door. Instead, employees were just eating pizza less than 6 feet away from the register I was at. It was absolutely disgusting. This place tops the list of worst Home Depots. 1.) They don't even give the military 10% off on wood? Spent $800 in lumber and only got $10 off. Could have gotten more off at pro desk if someone was even behing counter of wanted to help. Make no sense to me Lowes always gives me 10%. Other Home Depots around the Redlands store does also. My guess bad manager at this location. 2.) Do they have customer service here? Any time I loaf anything on a cart here there will be a worker look right at me more then once never said a word. Return 3 pieces of wood with a Reciept for $800 plus dollars of materials and lady at returns desk gave me a horrible time. I guess if you return any dog eared fence picket with a crack in it you have to call the manager to approve a $2.40 return? She was horrible. Good luck returning things at this store too. 4. Pro drive up area... normally people can move around not outside this store. Supply blocking every corner and angry customers every where. Home Depot sold me a lemon. The Maytag dishwasher I purchased from them came with a hole in the stainless steel tub. After 14 months, after installing new granite tops, the leak and its damage was discovered. To repair the mold and water damage it is likely I will have to pull out the cabinets and may lose my new granite countertops. 30 days later, Maytag has not located a replacement stainless steel tub for my dishwasher and 16 tubs across the country are on back order. They still want me to wait!! Why don't they just replace the dishwasher already!! read more

I went in to buy a battery operated leaf blower. I knew things like this would be locked up in a cage but was surprised to see no button to call for an attendant. I walked all the way up to the cashier counter where I found there were no cashiers! Who runs this place? Robots? At this point, if Amazon would have had this item at the same price I would have walked out. Next I went to the cusomer service counter where there was a long line. I showed them the print out from their website. (That saved a lot of time. They would have looked at me like I had two heads if I said I wanted a leaf blower). Finally a clerk escorted me all the way back to the section with the leaf blowers. Then we had to walk back up the cashier section, the full length of the building away. I get that these stores are a target for theft but this model of retailing doesn't work. I won't be back. I would make more sense for me to go online, create and pay for my order, then just go to a Will Call counter to pick it up. This store will be out of business within a year. read more

Do not ever order appliances from them. They use a delivery service that blows. They cancelled on us twice and The third time delivered a damaged fridge we refused. When we complained at the store, they seemed indifferent. We cancelled all the appliances we ordered (fridge, washer, dryer, oven and stove). We then went to Best Buy, who had great customer service and delivery. We were very happy with them. Take my advice, don't waste your time and just order appliances from Best Buy. read more

This review is specifically for the Redlands' Home Depot employee Albert in the paint department. Albert is awesome! We came in late one evening to pick up some more stone for a tiling project as we ran out towards the end. We couldn't find any on the shelf so Albert came over to help look. He pulled out the ladder, checked the inventory at the top and still couldn't find the quantity that said was in stock over their computers. It was nearly closing time but he called the SB Home Depot, worked with one of their employees to find their last batch and had them hold it for us at the front. When we arrived, it was all waiting with our name on it and a fast check-out. Albert was pro-active, very customer-focused and just downright nice. Walked in at about 8.30pm on a Saturday specifically February 11th, with my mother and I and a old lady that works there decides to very rudely tell me and my mom that next time we HAVE to walk in through the entrance. I then asked her, " We have to go all the way over there now?" And she replied yes with such attitude. Everyone there at the check out and other workers stared at us awkwardly and one guy even laughed. Never in my life have I ever been embarrassed by an employee here. I waited 30 mins I tried calling to speak to someone while I was there and no one answered, I asked an associate to page him. 10 mins pass so I asked someone else (Natasha) who was extremely helpful and went to go find him. EXCEPTIONAL customer service from RHONDA in the Redlands store garden section when I purchased over 100 plants. She stayed right with me and was so friendly and knowledgable. She went above and beyond and assisted in every way possible with a smile. You don't see this too often any more. Also, JONATHAN the cashier was as friendly as could be and checked out all the plants with a smile as he counted each one. Great experience with both RHONDA and JONATHAN! Home Depot to me is like the Walmart of home improvement type stores. They have better deals then Lowe's and carry more options of home Improvement items. Staff is pretty friendly and useful. And out of the 2 stores (Home Depot and Lowes) Home Depot has tool rentals which is extremely useful. One thing that bothers me about Home Depot is that they have a weird military discount. It's only on select items. What's that all about?? Lowe's doesn't do that, their military discount is straight up. I was very excited to purchase a new washer, dryer and refrigerator from Home Depot. I have had many lovely experiences with them throughout my time living in Redlands. However, I had a terrible experience with specifically their delivery and installation service. First of all it took me almost 7 weeks to finally get all of our appliances delivered to our address. Secondly I payed for instillation and was told by both Home Depot and the delivery service associated with Home Depot that the delivery employees would install everything only if we had all the parts, which we did. My husband and I also made sure to do everything the list requires you do to in order for the process to go more smoothly. When the employees arrived they didn't even check our refrigerator to install the water line and they quickly went downstairs to check the washer and dryer. When they were being shown to our washer and dryer my roommate who speaks fluent Spanish was informing me that the employees where talking "trash" about our house, stating that its dirty, messy and not kept up. When we finally showed them our washer and dryer they stated without even looking that they would not install anything, washer, dryer and or refrigerator because it looked " too old" and that they didn't feel " comfortable" installing anything. After explaining to us that we had to sign a release form in order for them to leave, my husband asked if we shall be refunded the installation fee since they did not install anything. The gentleman said nothing handed us our copy and walked away. Of course I was furious and called the Home Depot delivery service in which I was informed that we the home owners told the delivery and installation team that we would install everything ourselves and they would not have to complete the tasks. Then they also informed me that the paperwork in which was signed stated that we relieved all installation requirements when we signed the paperwork. Fortunate for me I kept the copy of the paperwork and receipt of all my purchases and explained that this was false and that we simply signed the paperwork that stated the appliances were delivered. Unfortunately the employee stated that their was nothing that she could do at this moment. Only when a friend of mine who works at Home Depot asked to put in a request to call me was I informed that I would receive my refund. Thank goodness Amanda at customer service was so great she made me hopeful that the employees at Home Depot valued their customers and their experiences. She was kind, knowledgeable and made the overall refund experience worth while. I was very hopefully that this purchase, delivery and installation would go smoothly but having to deal with individuals who have lied multiple times and treated their paying customers so rudely. As well as having to wait an excess amount of time to actually receive the appliances, I am glad to say that I will only be returning to Home Depot for the customer service I have received from Amanda. read more

They must have a good store manager. I believe wholeheartedly that the "Sh#t rolls downhill". Employees reflect the management. The past Home Depot was horrible. Now, the employees are generally respectful, helpful, and friendly. I rent regularly from the Tool Rental Department. Great service from Tom and Don in the Tool Department which is one of the best in So CA (I rent from at least 5 Home Depots in So CA). It is organized and Tom keeps the machines up perfectly. I always return my machines clean and in good order. The paint department and flooring do need some employees there though. You can stand their for hours and no one will help. Return department is helpful. One suggestion: better parking lot security. Three times I have seen crooks checking car doors to steal stuff. I mentioned this to an employee and she discounted me, saying, "Oh yeah, the always try to steal things from cars." I don't think she called the police or even called security. I don't think they give a damn about what's happening in the parking lot. Also, I like that they cater to American citizens. Many Home Depots speak Spanish left and right and it is really irritating. I'm Hispanic and a citizen. So, I dare you to call me a racist. Our national language is English. It is nice to deal with employees that speak English clearly. Way to go Redlands Home Depot. It is clean, organized, friendly, well-stocked, but that parking lot is very unsecure. Needs a security guard. Too many thugs out there and vagrants looking for victims! read more

First customer service does not even know where "S1" is, then plumbing said oh it's not season yet. They don't have any. And "1" means "0". ?!? One means zero? Wonder how they count. Manager Lasy tells me they sell so fast they can't keep them in stock. Wow! Total opposite of what the other guy just said. Whatever they tell you, do not trust them. read more
