We have been waiting since November 26 to get our stackable washer and dryer and it's been nothing but a comedy of errors and we still don't have them on December 10. There has been three attempts to get them here and there's an excuse every time or a mistake on the delivery side of it. It's more than exasperating. We will never buy anything from Home Depot even though we know these are subcontractors causing all the issues. I am in the midst of a move and visit every weekend BOTH days. I always have staff helping me manage the numerous moving boxes I have and they ask questions to make sure I am not forgetting something......like tape. I see the other reviews that rip on HD but I find them very helpful. Also I absolutely have to point out the greeter that is there a lot of days that I come in. Do not trust the product they are selling. I returned a 50" Zero Turn Mower because the engine was faulty, and a part of the machine broke when I was mowing with it. After I returned it, I saw they put it in the front of the store, for sale as new and selling it for $500.00 more than I bought it for less than 30 days earlier. I looked at it and the part are still broken on it. I will not buy any machinery from this store and very skeptical of anything I buy there from now on. They are willing to try cheating you out of your hard-earned money to make a profit than to take care of their customers. read more

My husband and I ordered a beautiful new Feather River from Home Depot. When the door arrived at Home Depot they called me and informed me that the door arrived damaged. After leaving work early and running to Home Depot to inspect the damaged it appeared that the way the door was secured to the transport truck it rubbed the finish right off the door. The way Feather River packages these doors includes cardboard around the very outside of the door and some flimsy plastic. Home Depot decided to mark the door damaged and ordered us another door. They gave us no apology and said there was nothing that they could do to expedite the new door. Our contractor was ready to install and now had to wait another three weeks. Three weeks later Home Depot calls us to say the new door is in. Our contractor went to pick up the door and observed the employee pull back a strap on the door and it snapped back and hit the door. After inspecting the door he saw a large scratch. So we left work early again....to check out the damage...again! When we got their the employee claimed that the scratch was there because of the way the door was secured to the truck....so I'm not sure who to believe. After the employee touched up the scratch it was hard to see so I agreed that I would accept the door if I was compensated. They ended up giving us a $200 store credit...which I didn't think was enough but I didn't want to wait another 3 weeks for a new freaking door! read more

This is my first real experience at a hardware store that I have rated so this will set the bar for all other stores of this kind. It's a large store with every tool and piece of equipment and accessories you may need for your home. Service is always friendly. My biggest piece of info is that on the first Saturday of the month is a kids DIY project. It's fun for kids and adults. We assemble and paint a different project every month. read more

I like this Home Depot. They are very organized, treat their employees well, and stand by their products. We have found many things there that we didn't expect to find. The staff is easy to work with as well. We found dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, a neck traction unit (okay, that was online at HomeDepot.com), ear plugs for our noisy blender, weird tools we needed make our windows open enough to get out in emergencies, and more. There always seems to be enough parking so it's easier to get in and out that some big stores. read more

Please consider before ordering applicances from Home Depot....as I wish I hadn't. New appliance order Feb 9....delivery set for mid-March. Appliances show up and the frig is damaged. That day find out that we won't be able to get our new frig until today, May 3....okay we will live with that and will work with our frig in the garage for over a month. Well today comes...and just find out that our frig will not be delivered today....now they are saying next Friday, May 10. We had to call them....they set the delivery date of today!!! And we have to call them to find out when they are coming today. Took off work to be here for delivery!!! Very frustrated!!! You do the math.....over three months for new appliances. Home Depot is notoriously sexist and treats women customers as if they are second class citizens that don't exist. But today at the Rochester, MN store my daughter and I were treated worse than in any other locations we have shopped previously. The help in the store treated us as if we were invisible. In the hardware department a male clerk walked a male customer directly in front of us and stopped to shop the same fixture we were already at, they blocked our access to the tools we wanted to buy, no apology, no kindness, they pushed us out of the way. In the plumbing department an older male clerk stocking the shelf didnt care that he nearly knocked me over with a box. No one would acknowledge us even though we had items in our arms and were clearly looking to find something additional. But male customers they plotz and fall over themselves to get to. Ladies, don't give your money to Home Depot who is still acting like its 1954 and we don't exist or matter when it comes to the bottom line! read more

They have a huge selection. Good quality and fair pricing on most things. The mower I wanted wasn't in stock when I got here when the guy on the phone said it was. I ended up buying a few odds and ends like light bulbs, batteries and hand cleaner that was on sale. They have a great garden center in the summer. I usually get all our plants here they have a decent warranty. Lots of containers too in many different materials. Good selection of landscape materials like pavers and fertilizers. read more

I have had many bad experiences with this store. For some reason, I still came back after the first time. There are so many other places in Rochester to get building supplies. I was sent here to get 12''x12'' ceramic tiles for our basement. Heavily pregnant, I went about plopping very heavy stacked bundles of tile into my cart. I managed to only see one employee who was walking around with a phone to his ear. No one asked if I needed help. Another time I was stuck in a long line waiting for check-out and the checkout person was on her cell phone laughing and taking a personal call. The items they sell are ok and have a nice variety, but with so much competition, it's not worth it. At a similar retailer I am greeted with a smile and someone is asking if I need help before I get halfway into the store. Employees at this store seem to dodge contact with customers. read more

We have had consistently bad customer service at this Home Depot and have found most of their products significantly overpriced compared to Menards. We have also discovered the Lowe's on the South side of town carries a wider variety and has far superior customer service than this Home Depot. It's a huge disappointment. read more

I'm new to this whole DIY thing. Came here a few times over the past couple of weeks for a couple of projects. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Prices I found were cheaper than Lowe's (our rust oleum kitchen cabinet paining kit was a good $10 cheaper at Home Depot). They were open Fourth of July and even had a little hot dog stand with free hot dogs and water bottles, super nice! This is going to be my go to place, and we're planning on doing a lot of projects on our house. read more

Very clean, well managed store. Most things I can't find at fleet farm or Menard's I can get here. I purchased several hundred dollars worth of lumber and much of it was the wrong size, there was no problem in returning it, fast and easy. Their paint department is very helpful also, lots of experienced staff to help you pick out what you need. read more

I haven't been to Home Depot in years. I remember when I would go and need help from a sales associate I would be waiting in an aisle to get help. Of course I would be helped if I was the only one there. But if I were there waiting and a man came up waiting for help the associate would invariably help that gentleman. After a few years of putting up with that kind of behavior I decided that I had other options and wouldn't go back. I have been recently looking for a Milwaukee tool. I called my usual hardware and home stores to see if they had it available. They did not. I then thought, "well, I suppose I can give Home Depot another try.". Called to see if they carried what I was looking for. The man on the phone was the same dismissive arrogant individual that I dealt with years ago. It may have been a different store it may have been a different town but it was the same fellow in spirit. First off I would like to say that if you are ever thinking of having The Home Depot do ANY home improvement work for you maybe you should think twice. The sales consultant that came out and gave us an estimate and we agreed to have them do the work for us. We asked for an itemized list of the materials and he said he would email it to us. What we received was NOT an itemized list, in fact it wasn't much of a list at all. I had asked him twice after that I wanted that list so that we knew what we were paying for and to make sure nothing was forgotten upon shipment to the house. The salesman asked me why I needed an itemized list and that no one had ever asked for one before. Also, we DID NOT receive a phone call from the roofers stating that they would be there the next day to install the roof because we had been charged 2hours of labor for a bathroom vent and soffit vents which were NEVER installed. When the shingles were delivered I had to call The Home Depot and ask them why the decking was not delivered with the shingles. We still haven't received a an email or something stating that you will be credited or will not be charged for work not completed per contract. VERY disappointed in this experience and will NEVER use them again and hopefully someone who reads this will get an invoice of EVERYTHING they are being charged for and the quantities so they may check the items with the list. As a consumer we are entitled to an itemized list. Also the same salesman that took our order had always referred me to call someone. I am the customer, I don't think that I should have to do the work to find out or call someone else to receive information that I am in need of. TERRIBLE salesmanship and follow up to customer needs. read more
