We are currently in the process of updating our backyard and let's say that I've been on a The Home Depot tour across the city, and this one if my second favorite location! This The Home Depot is located south of the city near Brook City Base. Compared to other store around the city, this one is not as busy as other locations, but I also think is a little smaller. On our last visit they had an awesome anniversary event for this location with multiple deals on purchases, as well as some awesome activities for the kiddos. They also had the representative for multiple brands in case you were looking to make a large purchase like a shed, which we did. The person that helped us with the process was absolutely amazing and customizing our shed was very easy. Overall we had an amazing experience and can't wait to see how the shed looks like in our backyard! read more

The selection process was very smooth, in which I am very appreciative of. I am ecstatic I was able to sign up for the Home Depot credit card, and use the intro discount to get my over all value brought down to a very reasonable price. Home Depot & Floor Pro Left My Home in Shambles - No Urgency, No Ownership If I could give zero stars, I would. I hired Home Depot for flooring installation, trusting their name meant quality and professionalism. Instead, they sent out Floor Pro in San Antonio--who completely ripped out my floors, left damage to my baseboards and walls, and then simply walked away without finishing the job. It's now been three weeks, and neither Home Depot nor Floor Pro has made any meaningful effort to fix this. Just broken promises and "we'll get back to you" responses. My home is still a mess, and no one seems to care. This experience has left me furious and completely distrustful of Home Depot. They clearly don't vet their contractors or take responsibility when things go wrong. The lack of urgency, communication, and accountability from both companies is absolutely unacceptable. I went into this location to buy some basic PVC fittings, it took me about three minutes to get the fittings. Then I approached, self check out area, and the checkout station begins to malfunction and scream out that I am in need of customer assistance. The ONE staff member available walks right past me and begins to help two other individuals, completely ignoring the machine yelling that I'm a customer in need of assistance, it wasn't until other customers pointed out to the one employee that I had been standing there longer than everyone else that she finally decided to assist me. By then I decided to leave the items and go to Lowe's. IN AND OUT IN LESS THAN 3 min! It's ridiculous that it takes longer for me to check out my stuff than it did for me to grab the items off the shelf and this is with using self check out. I ordered a garage door opener and installation on November 2, 2023. After no communication for 10 days, I followed up. They said they would check with the contractor, and should be installed soon. I followed up the next 5 days and got essentially the same answer. Called today and they would not return my call. If its not their fault, they hire *%&$ for contractors, and should have pressured the contractor to call me and put me in the loop. Still no garage door opener to date, and no idea what my order status is because I just get the run around from the store. read more

My wife and I went to Home Depot Store #6988, to purchase a new vacuum cleaner. The sales representative was absolutely unpleasant, uninformative and unhelpful and was more worried about going to lunch than assisting us due to a comment about lunch from a co-worker. She was extremely rude and unprofessional in the way she treated my wife and myself both senior citizens and I a Veteran. I went in to purchase some 3/4" MDF boards for a project, found my wood took it to the saw and found a few employees and asked if there was someone that could help cut the boards for me. they said yes and they would call them for me, 20min later as an employee walked by i asked for help again because i still hadn't been helped and they said someone was already called... another 10min past and they seen me again and asked if i had been helped i told them no again and I've been here for nearly 30min now waiting, they told me they would find someone else to help. I was there for 45min waiting for someone to help me and never did i get the boards cut nor did anyone come to tell me there was no one there to cut the boards for me This is why i prefer Lowe's to home depot sadly the Lowe's closest to my home was sold out. read more

We ordered a washer, dryer and refrigerator from the customer service counter and Ben helped us out so much! He was very friendly and patient and you can tell he enjoys assisting customers. We ordered these appliances about three weeks ago and they came in last week and it's been chaos so we went back today to get some issues resolved and Ben helped us again! I went to get 11 bags of concrete and 7 bags of sand for a project at home. This is what happens... I get the 60 pounds bags of sand my self then go to the check out at the loading bay. The lady at the loading bay was rude and would talk over me i told her I also need 11 bags of concrete that you have out in the loading bay she then asked me the size and how many I needed so repeat myself and tell her that the 80 pounds bags of concrete she tell me that she needs a barcode and (I have got concrete before with out it) but I was like oh well and tell her they are out side we can go scan it so we walk over and she don't even scan it and we come back to the cash register she pushes some buttons then asks a guy to help her they say some nonsense stuff and that they have to go get the barcode so I say ok I'll wait after a few minutes he comes back with his computer in his hand and tells her the numbers and they type it in and after that my mom goes to pay for it and has problems with the card and she was being rude to my mother after we finished paying i tell her and the guy that I would like them to load it also and they look at me rudely and tell me I got you! I reply ok I'll be out front! (It's 5:08 on the receipt) I then take the sand outside to the loading bay and my mom gets her truck I take the sand to the back of the truck and waited for the concrete that's out side. They then load the other guys truck with the forklift before us that wasn't there before us but I was like ok it an online order or something... waited some more and they finish with him then go behind us and got a pallet of 80 pound bags and went inside with them while I am standing at the back of the truck one of the Home Depot workers said are we really going inside with this concrete .... I then wait a little more then got tired of them being rude to me and my mother so (I call the store at 5:34) get put on hold now it's 5:40 and asked to talk to a manager so I talked with Josh and ask him what's going on I have bought some concrete and needed it's loaded he asked me where and if it was online I tell him I am out in the loading bay and have been waiting for them for over 30mins now he asked what register did you go to? I tell him and then he asked me what truck I am in and that he would get right on it. I tell him ok and waited in the truck a little while then went inside to the concrete to see if anything's happening and there was 3 homedepo people in the aisle I asked the two closest if they know anything about my concrete one tells me hes the manager and they are getting it right now! So I say ok my trucks out front and I'll wait over there they come to my tailgate both with attitudes I asked josh the manager why they didn't just take the concrete 20 ft away he tells me they can't which is a lie!! And also why they brought the concrete inside before loading my truck he told me they are stocking the shelves. I then told him well you guys just had to do double work for no reason which is kinda dumb to bring it inside then hand load it to a cart and bring it to my truck and then load my truck. No reply so I let them load the concrete and I then helped with the sand bags and then told them thank you and they said have a good day with a attitude! So I don't recommend this home depo! Ending at 6:00pm well its home and unloaded now so Onwards with project!! read more

Normally, I do not care for Home Depot, because you can never find assistance. Today was different. There was a gentleman in paint/stains that really went above and beyond to help us. Sadly, I didn't see his name on the name tag. Needless to say after the great care from him, we got to the cashier, whose name I also did not get. We got so irritated with her that we finally left and went to Lowe's - where we got everything that we were getting at Home Depot, plus a new outside umbrella with lights....for $8 less. Yes I do realize that I'm reviewing a big box store and it probably won't mean much. I had to go here today as my battery operated tools are ryobi. Home Depot is the only one that carries them and I needed an angle drill. So off I go hoping for a generally normal experience buying a tool and some material for one of my many projects. I get to the tool isle. Can't find the tool except on the display. Ask an employee if they could help me. Get told by this asshat that he'll call someone over that knows the section better. I'm cool with that. Fifteen fucking minutes later and no one still shows up. Finally get another asshat show up. They say that the tool is actually in the back and not on the shelf. No problem right? Second asshat tells me he's too busy to get a tool I need. Mother fucker what the ever living shit? Not gonna do your job? What a bitch move to do. So I eventually wander and get the rest of the things I need. Since I use a contractor account for purchases at Home Depot or Lowes I use that side of the store to check out. Generally faster and well you get the big ass door to pull your carts out of. While I'm in line the woman at the register just wanders away. What the shit? Leave someone standing there with over 400 dollars of material and random things waiting? Then when asking people that work there wandering around if they can check me out they say no. Also when asking for the god damn big door to be opened they tell me no. So needless to say the tool I went to Home Depot for I bought via Amazon Prime instead. The reason? Free two day shipping and I'll get the tool by the time I need to use it. I also didn't have to deal with severely unprofessional persons working at a big box store. You don't tell a customer that you're too busy to do your job. You don't tell a customer with large items on their cart that you will not open the big door for them. So basically fuck this Home Depot. Truly hope this corporation sees this and fixes their store. If not maybe some of you out there will see this review and make your choices better. read more

Walking into Home Depot, I instantly feel out of place. What the hell do I know about perennials, caulking and MDF? I'll tell you my friends, not a damn thing. But I'm learning and whatever I can't easily google from my phone, I can ask any one on the floor about and they can at least point me in the right direction. I was looking into making my own entry table / bookcase hybrid and a helpful Home Depot employee must have seen me wandering aimlessly in the building materials aisles and came to my aid. Talked me through options from cedar to particle board, giving me pros and cons for each and I walked outta there with a clear vision. Overall this is a typical acceptable Home Depot. However, the online ordering is abysmal! You think I would learn my lesson but I ordered online for pick up here three times. Each time I waited a minimum 45 minutes to get my order. There always seems to be confusion about where the order is located. We all know that the idea with on line ordering is to save time. I've used Walmarts curbside pick up and it is flawless. The order is prepared and ready for you the minute you drive up. As a professional contractor, who spends tens of thousands of dollars a year here, you would think my complaints would be given a little more consideration. read more

But I was told I am welcome to come in the store and look when I pointed out that the website said there were 64 of this item in stock. I have never gotten good service from a Home Depot in San Antonio, but this particular store's service was outstanding! We were looking for succulent plants for our new home and were able to find them on our own, but when it came time to look for colored rocks to decorate the succulents in their new pot, I was unable to find on my own. Luckily there was a very nice young woman working in one of the aisles and she showed me where they were located. She was very informative and was able to answer a lot of my questions. Because of her I have continued to shop there for our outdoor items and we continue to get excellent service. read more

I wanted to take a minute to thank Bryan, Tatia, and Robert in the tool renta department for fixing my weedeater so quickly and so efficiently. I was worried that the repair on my Echo weedeater wouldn't be covered under warranty and I wouldn't be able to repair it but these guys did a great job. Luckily, the warranty took care of the repairs and I also was refunded the original $20 they charged to take a look at it. They were professional, friendly, and did a really great job taking care of me. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who has an issue with their tools or equipment. read more

I was looking on the Home Depot website and found a special buy for a paint sprayer that I need for an upcoming job. The website said that my store at SE Military has 2 in stock and that In store purchase is available. So I went to the store, found the item and went to checkout. The cashier said that is was a online order only even though they had it in stock. They did not meet their own price. So I stepped aside ordered it online and received a confirmation. I then took my item to customer service to check out and they said that they would ship the item to the store and call me when it is ready for pickup. I told them that you guys have two in stock and one of them was in my basket. I spoke to three people and they all said that they would not match the price and I would have to wait (2 weeks) for it to show up at their store. I got home and called customer service and waited 42 minutes for them to answer and not be of any help. During this time I called the store back and got a manager named Joe. Explained my situation and he ended up disconnecting our call. My life would have been so much better if I would have just paid there full price and not the price advertised. I have been a loyal home depot pro customer for years. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any retail store. I just became a loyal customer at Lowes. read more

I can usually solve what I need by myself in Home Depot. But on this day I did need some help. As I walking into the shower/bath section I was greeted by an associate if I needed help. I did. I asked if they could help me find the part I needed. She referred me to the Employee standing by the section I was heading to. But she was talking with another employee. So I give it a shot and look for my part. I narrow it down to two parts that look almost alike. The two employees have been watching me look for about 5 minutes and no help. I go over and ask if she can help me narrow the part down to the one I need. Her response was "all the stems are over there if it's not there we do not have it." And goes back to her conversation. She had no interest in helping your customer. So I just buy the two parts and hope for the best. That is some low-grade customer service. I usually have decent service there but not this day. This store, this one on Military, has to have the most amazing management that you will find anywhere! We built a 6,000 SF home in 2015. Our GC allowed us to select and purchase as many of our construction materials as we desired. We selected this store for the majority of those purchases. Store Manager, Melissa Dovalina and key members of her team: Stacy, Stephanie, and Brian to name just a few, made the entire selection, purchase, delivery (some returns and/or replacements) almost effortless. I won't deceive. Yes, there were some tense moments (and conversations) when special orders or replacement orders didn't arrive when expected (or needed). Building a house can be frustrating and extremely time consuming, as can working in retail... and tempers can flare. Those tense times were few and far between, and everyone on Melissa's team moved past them with graciousness and professionalism. Just a few minutes ago, I received a call from Stephanie at this location. She was notifying us (and clarifying for us) that they have replacement french doors in their warehouse that are the result of THEIR work on our behalf with Masonite. (Three of our doors are a bit bowed and don't seal completely at the top.) Stacy contacted Masonite, followed up with them and stayed on top of the situation until Masonite provided replacements. WOW! We weren't even aware the process was still in play! Amazing service on the part of this Home Depot staff! read more

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE @ THIS HOME DEPOT, 3111 SE Military, 78223, IS RIDICULOUS!! My elderly mother went there & purchased a table from them & they promised to assist her put it together...well, they didn't tell her there was a 2+ hour wait. My poor mother waited & waited & anytime she asked for a manager, the 2 females @ the counter REFUSED to assist her & kept saying he was "BUSY". I mean how busy can he really be...his job is there for the customers & REALLY?!? He can't check in with her, in that 2+ hour timeframe? THEN, the females @ the counter were bad mouthing & talking about my mom in front of her...like if she wasn't even there. My mother has high blood pressure & this definitely didn't help. I really wish I would've been there to assist her but unlike those 3 people @ Home Depot...I was actually working...I definitely plan on notifying their corporate office of this nonsense. read more
