Ordered online and picked up a few hours later. Order was accurate and picked up was very easy. Value for the item was very reasonable and service was on point.

I ordered a delivery of a pallet of pavers. My delivery kept being pushed back each day it was scheduled to be dropped off. I spoke with the scheduler from Home Depot and they told me they would refund the $79 delivery fee. I never received it so I followed up in a couple of weeks and chatted with customer service. He basically said they sent the refund back to my bank provided a number and it was up to my bank to figure out what happened. My bank never received the money. Still to this day I don't know where that money went, but I never received my refund.

Wow! Mega-sized self-checkout was easy to use and follow prompts!

The staff knows where stuff is! Not all Home Depot's have as helpful of employees, lol. But the two I asked were able to direct me to the very specific item I was needing. The first informed me of the aisle and location in the aisle but then when I still couldn't narrow it down, the employee in that aisle walked me over to it. I would've been lost in the store for a long time otherwise. Also major props to the woman working the self-checkout area today. She was very observant and efficient in directing guests to the next available checkout, all while maintaining a polite demeanor! Also wow the self-checkout was fancy! Gotta believe they were installed recently. BIG touchscreens. Even my dad with his poor vision would be able to read the font and menus. The voice assistant was also at a high volume so the hard of hearing could hear even in such a noisy environment. Big win for accessibility, so I applaud Home Depot and hope they install these at ALL their locations!

Same great service that you're used to expecting with all the great products that Home Depot offers at low prices. Sometimes it is hard to find what I'm looking for but the home Depot app helps. It is a giant Warehouse with very few workers that really know where everything is. The app has really come in handy recently. I have had really good luck with returning. I bought some pant the other day and it was the wrong color I had lost the receipt so I was pretty worried because there was a big line in the return merchandise area at the front. Thankfully I have the credit card with me that I bought the paint with so even though I did not have the receipt they were able to scan the card and find the purchase by scanning the paint and then automatically refund the paint. Yay Home Depot !!!

Takes forever to get someone to help you. They aren't enthusiastic and seem to just want to get rid of their paying customers.

A short drive later, I was trying to find what I needed, and came up short, but only in quantity. An employee came by and offered help, and I told them what I needed. They were right to a different bin, and counted out the exact quantity that I needed. They then gave me the price for that item and one other similar item. When I mentioned that the app and website didn't help, they told me that some of the items wouldn't come UP on the website or in the app, but that I could call anytime to have someone check the stock for me. I wrote the info on the handy plastic bag and went to check out. The employee at the checkout counter was polite, friendly, and professional. They asked for my phone number to access my rewards account. When I walked out, I had exactly what I needed, and for a very reasonable price. This is now my go-to store for all but major hardware needs. I highly recommend Ace Hardware, and especially this location. It kind of felt like I was dealing with family.

An hour later (you get caught up in all the eclectic items they offer). During the hour I checked out cat toys, dog toys, cards (fabulous collection of off beat greeting cards), cat litter, yo yos, dominoes, keys (they cut keys), gardening tools, pocket knives and many other items. You can find a nice weird gift for someone here. And yes, I bought a timer for $6.99. Go there and be reminded of back-in-the-day Scrivener's.

The first time he called, my husband spoke to a guy who said they needed to see the key first to see if they could do it. Fair enough, but they could have looked the key up first on Google or something. My husband forgot to ask how much it would cost IF they could do it, so he called back. A woman took his call and was short with him, as if she didn't want to be bothered. She snapped, "Oh no - we can't do that!" My husband told her he just talked to a man who told him to bring it down. So then she said "Oh, okay. $2 or $3." When he arrived and handed them the key, she took one look at it and "No we can't do that!" She was very abrupt. We would have shopped a bit for other things, we got the clear impression that our business wasn't wanted. For anything. They were not busy at all. I can understand that they couldn't make the key, but a little more kindness and perhaps some initiative to find out exactly what kind of key we needed would have gone a long way. Since they make keys, and are no doubt familiar with modern fob type car keys, a little engagement of the gray matter would have saved everyone a big hassle.

The guy who greeted us was with his back turned as he walked by saying "What's up?", causing a bit of confusion and frustration. Apparently, the website was incorrect on closing times for rentals as well as there not being a contact service to check on if the equipment was in stock. The employee didn't know there was a contact system, or even a website no less. In a very defensive tone he stated "Well, aren't we full of lies today?" He kept watching the clock, as it was 20 minutes to closing when we came in. I'll be spending the extra money at the other stores from now on.

When I arrived, he did call for another employee to come assist me while he soldered. The employee came and courteously asked me what I needed and quickly left to get it ready to load. I waited for Mr. Sippel to begin the paperwork but he moved to another area behind his counter and continued soldering. I patiently waited, when another older employee led two customers to behind the counter where Mr. Sippel was 'working'. He stopped his soldering, gave them his full attention and began giving them advice including telling old family tales. I began to pace impatiently for about 10 minutes before another very polite employee who seemed to be coming with his lunch asked if I was helped. He stopped eating his burger, apologized for the delay and quickly handled the reservation. The employee who prepared the chairs and tables came back and asked, "you're still here waiting". I told him the situation and he was surprised and told me, "but you were waiting right here!" These guys were very helpful and knew how to take care of their customers. I will consider finding another rental location and telling friends and family to possibly do the same.
