I spent a week in Westminster, CO helping my son and his wife with a new business. We built shelves, mounted bulletin boards, coat racks and extra heavy curtains in their new Riff Music School. I am by no means a professional carpenter and had lots of questions when purchasing products from both local Home Depots in town. I could not believe the low rating on Yelp on each store because my experience was the best I have ever had in a home improvement store. I am sure I was at these stores at least 20-30 times in a week looking for something to complete my remodel or make it better. Every staff member that I walked past ask me if I needed help finding anything and/or would personally take me to the area to find what I was looking for and/or suggest a better way to finish my work. This Home Depot is usually our go to store and also the store we use for the business. Close to half a million a year. So we're remodeling our home. Go there got about $2,000, in our cart. Just needed some help in finding the right door. Waited 25 minutes, just for everyone to say, this is not my department I'll send help. Help NEVER came. Talked to manager all she can say is I understand, instead of fixing the problem, she only says she understands our frustration. No you don't. So with that being said, they just lost lots and lots of money from the company. Will not shop there anymore. Trust me they will see the difference. By the way. Went there at 6 as they opened. Sketchy experience. Concerned about my data and identity. I CANCELED MY ORDER AND DESIGN. THERE WAS NO CONSIDERATION EXCHANGED EXCEPT FOR THE $50 DEPOSIT FOR MEASUREMENTS, WHICH WAS NONREFUNDABLE. After meeting with the consultant twice at the store, and having the measurement tech come to my home twice. I received an email that someone had sent a message indicating I was going in another direction. I was perplexed. I was waiting on an updated estimate. The consultant only works three days a week, there is no voice mail. When I called, I was told it was a person from the store, but they didn't know who. Home Depot refused to replace a bad garage door opener after it was installed 3 days.

Seriously figure out curbside pick up. At least at Lowe's they were busy and couldn't get to me timely, Home Depot straight up had no one in line and I eating for a half hour for nothing. I am furious. If you can't figure out how to do curbside then don't offer it. It would be a lot less heartache and people wouldn't be pissed off when they come get their stuff. I waited with 4 other people who never had anyone come out. So frustrating. At least your team is friendly but that's not good enough. Visiting in April 2020, height of coronavirus, an off for some essential items and it was literally taking your life in your own hands. Used self check out and the girl aqAwmonitoring was NOT cleaning items after each use. I understand if you're worried about getting sick but at least provide wipes or disinfectant spray for the public. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Rather than clean, she suggested I use a bag to touch things. Worst Home Depot I ever been in too! I love HD, but this location sucks. 7/18/20 went there to look for sink, after about hour waiting for someone to show up and help us. Lady tells my mom about a kitchen sink that is $349, next day I came with my 70 yrs old mom to get a sink. Same thing 30 minutes wait to get a help, and they overcharged me, $399 for it. So I send my kid with my ID and HD cc, and receipts. They told him that those are online prices. So, next day I went in, and same thing, she told me that she needs to ask her boss. So manager shows up after 30 minutes and she said they can't match a price with their Home Depot website!!!! WTF!!!! I used to love coming here because of the good selection and service. I'm not sure what is happening lately but they are out of everything and have no selection. The other day I came up to buy a garbage disposal, and they were completely out of them. I hate Lowe's but had no choice but to go there to buy one. Today I went up to get some LED bulbs, there was one to choose from in the style I was looking for. I left there and went to Costco where not only were they much cheaper but they had a much better selection. While I was at the depot I was looking for some butt connectors unfortunately none of the employees knew where they were. They were nice enough to let me walk around the whole store searching for them. With no luck I ran to Harbor Freight and got what I needed. I don't know how I can go from loving a place so much to never wanting to come back. read more

DeckOver Scam I went in to buy paint products to resurface my deck. The DeckOver product was recommended for good coverage. I proceeded to buy enough to cover the deck and went ahead and applied it. Little did I know that there is a class action law suit against Behr and Home Depot because of the way the product fails. It cracks, peels and crumbles. I just put it on so I don't know yet what it will do. I think the problem is, it is not really paint. It is more like concrete. It doesn't breath, so the moisture is sealed into the wood. Yet the people at the store don't tell you this. They are still promoting it as a great product! I will never buy anything there again. read more

Went to pick up plywood last night. Asked one of the girls sitting and working on the computer over by the pro check out if she could call somebody to help me down in lumber. I told her which aisle I would be down she said OK sure! I needed 4 sheets of ply wood and also needed them cut. After waiting around for over 10 mins I looked around for some help, no one in site. I had CUSTOMERS ask me if they could help me. As I was leaving I saw 2 employees goofing off in a walkway- both looked at me and said nothing. I worked in hardware retail for 7 years and would've been fired if I had let this happen to one customer. I understand being understaffed - it's the worst but the store was not busy at all. My family and I have been long-time customers of Home Depot. However, after our recent experiences with purchasing major appliances from Home Depot, I don't think we will ever shop at Home Depot again. Definitely not for major home appliances! Our daughter made a deposit on a beautiful house in a new development community and was scheduled to close escrow in middle of July. With plenty of lead time, she planned everything in advance and ordered a washing machine / dryer set and a refrigerator at Home Depot back in May. She gave plenty of lead time to Home Depot and scheduled the delivery out into July, timing it with her escrow close date. Two days before the agreed upon delivery date for the washer/dryer, Home Depot sent a message saying they WILL NOT be delivering as scheduled and moved the next delivery date out two months into September! No explanations were given, and we had to go into the store to find out that the reason was due to the pedestals for the washer/dryer not being available! Home Depot did not even notify us nor give us the option of accepting the washer/dryer without the pedestals. Since this was an unacceptable delay, our daughter decided to cancel the order with Home Depot and bought the washer dryer elsewhere. How interesting that this other major appliance provider was able to deliver exactly as scheduled just two days later after she purchased it! Home Depot had a two month lead time and could not even deliver! Meanwhile, our daughter had also ordered a $2500 Samsung refrigerator at Home Depot, ordered back in May, but on a separate order as the washer/dryer. So far there was no change in the scheduled delivery date, so she kept that order. After waiting several hours on the scheduled delivery date, she then got a notification saying that the driver had to turn back around and will not be delivering after all. No explanations given and again we had to call to find out that the driver had a personal situation and had to turn back. We do understand that personal situations happen, but it's very poor customer service on Home Depot's part not to notify us and to arrange for another driver. It's hard to imagine for a company of over 490,000 employees they could not find another driver. We were then told that the delivery was rescheduled for the next day. Home Depot actually delivered at the end of the day, but alas, that was not the end of the saga. If Home Depot had delivered as originally scheduled, our daughter would have been home to receive the refrigerator and inspect it herself. But since Home Depot postponed the delivery, our daughter had to go on a business trip on the day of the delivery, and left her father (a senior citizen with not the greatest eyesight) waiting for the refrigerator delivery. At that point, he was just grateful that the delivery arrived at all, and worried about spoiling food, so he did not notice that there were significant scratches on the freezer door handle and scrapes on the refrigerator doors themselves. This certainly did not look like a brand new, top quality $2500 refrigerator! When our daughter returned from her business trip, she noticed the scratches and contacted Home Depot. The terrible customer experience is that she was quoted unwavering store policy and said since it's been more than 48 hours, they are not obligated to replace the refrigerator. They did not listen to the specific circumstances that were caused by their delay. If they had delivered on schedule, our daughter would have been present to receive and inspect it, and she would not have accepted it in its scratched up state. All they gave her was a menial $100 credit, and that does not even cover the cost of a replacement freezer handle! As I said, we have been long time Home Depot customers, but this is the worse customer service I have every experienced! We will never buy a major appliance from Home Depot again. read more

Unacceptable customer service. I have been on the phone for 25 minutes and still being transferred to someone... they even hung up on me. Went in on a Saturday to get an exterior storm door- worked with Tom who was AMAZING- but said that he needed to consult with Connor (the boss) on a pricing question and we would be called no longer than 2 days. Have I heard from Connor yet? No. Have I been transferred 7 times including a hang up? Yes. Was I ensured I would be taken care of? Yes. Unless you want to be on a frustrating long call and can't go in person, don't bother. I understand there is a shortage of people not working right now, but that doesn't mean you can promise people will call and not follow up on their word. read more

3rd time I have gone in and the associate Megan with pink hair has been more than rude. First belittling for no mask, then telling me it is a requirement. While numerous other people walk by without masks. I put a mask on as requested and she looks at me and says "you can wait for someone else to DEAL with you" turns around walks off. Well for starters we walked around for a while looking for help and no one seemed interested in helping even when we asked the person did not know where the item was that we were searching for and stated it wasn't their department, I asked if they could get someone to help us and she walked off, no one came, once we found the item, and went to go pay there were no cashiers at all just the four self pay registers and a line of about 15 customers, after 20 mins in line to pay we left feeling very disappointed, I will keep my business at Lowe's as they are always willing to help. I went in today to find wooden bed slats. I asked 5 people for assistance. Each person giving me a different answer. "Yes we do that go back and wait for someone to cut the wood for you" or "no sorry we don't do that here" and "we can't cut wood shorter than 12 feet sorry". Staff was lazy and NOT helpful. It is a simple request for a 3x5 piece of wood. Perhaps it was because I was a woman. But either way, I will NOT be shopping here again. Do better. read more

Our shower head broke (literally, the handheld portion destroyed itself) after 11 years of use. Went to HomeDepot today to find a replacement. Found what I needed and went to the checkout. Per their instructions I opened my HomeDepot app and showed the clerk the approved military discount q code. She thanked me for my service and rang up the sale. She then told me that the shower faucet was not "eligible" for any kind of discount, including military. I asked why and she informed me it was entirely up to the vender and manufacturer if we get a military discount. She told me all lumber and most building supplies do not allow a military discount either. I asked her if she knew how insulting that was? That homedepot says hey Mr. Veteran you get a military discount, but then refuse to give it and blame various venders, manufacturers and suppliers when they refuse to apply it. She said she could not even put in a Managers Override... REALLY? Wow, pathetic treatment of a Vietnam Veteran and of our Entire Military service ranks. What a joke. read more

This is the worst Home Depot I've ever been to. Tile selection was scant. One aisle for floor tile. Actually, only one side of that one aisle for floor tile. Interior door selection was terrible, too. No standard smooth doors? There was no one at the contractor checkout. We needed to rent a truck and had to go to general customer service, and wait. And wait. Finally was told that the key for the rental vehicle parked outside was missing. When we asked if they would give us the other larger vehicle for the price of the one we wanted (the only other vehicle they had), they initially said no. So, they couldn't find the key to a rental vehicle that was parked on their property, but they wouldn't accommodate us for the other one. Poor customer service. They finally conceded. Overall terrible experience at this store. read more

We got a machine to help with putting insulation in the attic and they gave us a busted hose. It popped out of the machine three times and we got insulation all over the grass. There was also holes in the tubing and blew insulation all over us until we duct taped it so this is a warning to everyone to check on the rental gear before you take it home. I still have them 5 stars though because they reimbursed us for the trouble. read more

Terrible Service!! This store is run so poorly and the asst manager is so unprofessional . We Purchased Outside lights brand new never opened, and returned them. The horrible and rather rude customer service guy said, well you bought them here but now we don't sell them. He refused Me a refund! Lowe's never does that! These two guys were so demeaning and would not give me the real managers name! During covid they make you pick up Their Dirty scanners to scan your own merchandise, not a good Covid idea ! No one cleaning them in between ....Who allows that?? Home Depot should be re-evaluated! They have some real concerns here , Just read their reviews! Home Depot Hot Dog Cart The hot dog. It single handily recreates everything about our childhood, from Little League, amusement parks, the 4th of July to company picnics. So on this day, I proclaimed it to be Hot Dog Saturday, my search for that one great stuffed tube of processed sentiment. Second Stop: The Home Depot Hot Dog Cart. The smell of sautéed onions just lures you in. The $2 Hot Dog sign makes you order. The friendliness of the vendor allows him to keep the $5. The mustard spilled on my shirt shows how fast I devoured this plain Jane of a dog. Nothing special once you walk away, the bun could have been fresher, the hot dog was a little overcooked and all the condiments under the stars were right there. For two bucks and a trip to the dry cleaners...I'll find another spot. read more

MICROWAVE RETURN POLICY MISREPRESENTED. I went in to purchase a new microwave. They didn't have it in stock. I didn't want to buy it without seeing it. However, the salesman told me if we didn't like it we could return it for a full refund. After it was delivered and installed my wife didn't like it. She arranged to have it picked up with the promise of a full refund. After 3 weeks, no refund. My wife had to call everyday to try to find the right person, who wasn't available. They finally gave us a refund for just the microwave, not the delivery, installation and haul away, which was $144. The bottom line is we consider a full refund to to be the total cost. They consider a full refund to be just the appliance, without other charges. And they're really rude about it when you ask about it. BEFORE ORDERING ANYTHING SIGHT UNSEEN FROM HOME DEPOT GET THE REFUND POLICY IN WRITING. If we had known that before we ordered we would have gone elsewhere. read more

I was out doing my sprinkler blowouts and needed to build some customers fittings. The guy in the plumbing department really did me justice helping me find the right sized fittings for this custom built connection I needed. The only reason they dont get 5 stars is the fact that they did not have a full inventory. All the major fittings were sold out, that's why I had trouble but the employee was knowledgeable and got me on the right track in no time short.
