this is a running review of this plumber. They're halfway through a job with me. So far it's been great communication and VERY FAST SERVICE. they are scheduled to come in and replace a flange, wax, and bolts for $125 in the front bathroom they are going to unplug the mainline for I believe roughly $140. I'm not a plumbing pro, but seemed like fair prices. I'll give these guys a five star soon as this job is complete and my tenants are happy. read more

I have used The Honest Plumber on multiple occasions. They are respectful, and knowledgeable. I have never had any problems with the work they do. Their prices are reasonable and they tell you if there are different options. As a female, I was 100% comfortable having them in my house when I was home alone. They sent a different plumber to our home each time to diagnose and work on our tankless water heater as part of our home warranty. Each plumber said they needed to talk to the manufacturer and would get back to us. One plumber said they would get the water heater replaced since they couldn't get it working. Then the next told us he was flushing the system in response to a request by insurance to move forward with replacement, but he submitted "no mechanical failure" to the insurance company. Now, after 2 months without hot water we have to start the process over again with a different plumbing company. Response: We have consistently been calling the "honest" plumber asking them for follow through, every time reminding them that we have a broken water heater and asking what are our next steps. NEVER did we say it was working!!! The plumber that came out one and a half weeks ago said the water heater needed to be replaced. The front office, four days ago said they were waiting for the PO from home warranty, so your team knew we were still having issues. read more

Toilet backed up on Saturday afternoon The dispatcher was professional from the greeting to the dispatch of the technician. They asked the questions they needed and answered mine. the whole process took less than 30 minutes to arrange and the technician arrived as promised. the whole thing took less than an hour. If I could give a negative star I would. I called them for a water leak on a sprinkler line five months ago, they charged me $80.00 and did a quick repair. Pic as shown. I had to call them back two months after because the same leak continued . Two months later again the same isssue. But this time they refuse to fix it because it will keep leaking, they said that a proper fix is going to cost me another $350.00. I just want to let everyone know to be aware! Hello, water heater has a gas leak again. I was told you would fix it today. Ricky came and picked up the paperwork from SoCalGas and left. It was supposed to be repaired today. I can't get a hold of anyone and nobody answers your 24/7 emergency line. Please contact me to let me know. The water heater had to be shut off by the gas company. I requested service through home warranty and the plumber showed up 15 minutes before the window closed. The toilet had two issues, my home is 17 and the toilet seal is worn. I told the plumber this. He only repaired one issue of the handle not being in the correct position. Here it is a week later and the toilet is now flushing itself every 5 minutes because the seal was not replaced. Honest Plumber do I have to take a whole day off to deal with this issue, so you all show up at 5:45pm? I will not. I can fix this myself so why do I bother with a home warranty? I recommend listening to your customer and not being lazy and not fixing everything in one trip instead of being lazy and having to make two trips. read more

Negative Review. If I could give negative stars I would. Buyer beware this company will charge extra without telling you until after the money has been taken out of your account. Don't even try to ask for a refund of the extra charge because it won't happen and they will stop responding to your texts and emails. They delayed in getting my permit to me. These guys are great! Called them and they were out within a couple of hours. They found the issue quick and solved it immediately. The pipes in my home will need to be replaced soon and they gave me a very fair and affordable rate to do that. Its hard to find honest and hardworking plumbers who have their customers best interest in mind. First I couldn't get through on the phone number provided and was asked to use this business because of the home warranty. Then, it took days for this business to call to schedule an appointment. My appt. time was between 2pm to 6pm on a Friday. At 5:45 I call and the plumber says that he's running behind and that he just got to his appt. before mine. I told him that I was not waiting another hour or two after my scheduled (4 hour wait) appt. time because we were going to dinner. I asked how to reschedule and he told me that they would call Monday. They call at 10:30 on Monday stating I missed appt! Ha! I told the receptionist that I did not issue my appt that the plumber could not are it until hours later. She then said that she has text messages stating that I did not answer. Lol. So I had recently put a good review on the Honest plumber, however the problem never got fixed, yes they came back and they fix their shit show and that's why I put the good review on there Bo continue to push the issue to make sure I put a good rating on here, But my problem never got fixed the hot water but did not stay hot so they were supposed to come out.. i make 50 an hour and I took the day off from work to sit there and waited all day just to call at 3 o'clock to the warranty place and the plumbing place to find out that they were not coming for the third time mind you. So the warranty place had to find me another plumber however my husband called Rinnai and fixed the issue over the phone.. wow. The honest plumbing should've called to find out why it continue to do that.. but instead they wanted me to pay out $3000 for a return that I did not need. I would not recommend honest plumber they're more worried about their ratings than they are their customer service. I also never received my permit that I paid for!! So I will have the county come out and let them know I do not have the permit but they should have it on file since I paid for it to be pulled correct? The company contacted us right away to replace the water heater via AHS warranty company. Itemized work included a permit as per the warranty company. They replaced the water heater. We paid our share of cost. They didn't give a receipt after requested. I had to call a couple of weeks later and ask about the permit. They had not pulled it at all! They brought it by our house with the date of when I called. Bad practice. Will not do business with them again. read more

My wife woke me up on New Year's Eve and mentioned that my children's room had water seeping into it from a wall shared with our master bathroom. I contacted our home warranty insurance. About an hour later Kyle from The Honest Plumber called me and let me know he was 5 minutes away. He arrived at my house did an initial inspection, cut a small hole in the wall and determined the leak was coming from an enclosed shower drain. He quickly replaced the improperly installed part and and the insurance company dispatched another repair person to fix the drywall. My appointment slot was from 12-4 he did not come in those hours I even called about 2 times to confirm he was even coming. The lady said oh yeah he'll be there in the next 30-45 mins never showed up. He then proceeded to not show up until around 6:00pm I called again around 5:30 to see if he was even coming because I had spent the whole day waiting at home and didn't even show up in the time slot.
