This place is somewhat inconsistent. Their burger is good enough but on occasion I've ordered fries just to get a pile of crispy bits from the bottom of the bin. Not cool. I also wish they would keep the place a little cleaner and do so consistently. Sometimes it's fine. Sometimes lots of tables haven't been wiped down. The ketchup station is usually pretty gross and in need of much more attention throughout the day. Finally, I once ordered an soft serve cone and before serving me, the man (owner/manager?) sneezed, blew his nose, threw out the napkin, and went straight to make my cone. What?! Have these people not taken any food service safety courses? They need to! Again, their burger is good... good enough that I keep coming back. But I do worry about how clean the restaurant is kept... or not kept. Now maybe then kitchen and back of house are pristine. I certainly hope so. But at a minimum, the front of house needs work. Please take one the age old restaurant mantra, "If you can lean, you can clean." read more

The Big South Spicy Chicken Sandwich is amazing. Perfectly spicy for the fam of spice but no overdone. Thick pickles and tasty cole slaw inside. Soft and crisped buns and delicious fried chicken, you can't go wrong. They also have a more basic non spicy crispy chicken sandy as well! Recently, we were craving burgers so we decided to try The Hub for the first time. The entire experience was excellent! The person who answered the phone was absolutely lovely- friendly, and made suggestions to help us decide. The food was ready when promised. The prices are reasonable. The food is solid! We got salads, burgers, and onion rings. All was yummy. The burger was cooked perfectly, and was flavorful. The onion rings and sauce were so good. The salads were most noteworthy though- they weren't your ordinary salads. They were generously sized, and had a nicely balanced mix of all of the stated ingredients. The dressings were unique, flavorful, and so much better than your usual salad dressing. I didn't think The Hub would become my go to for excellent salads, but it has! I've been here twice now. Each time, despite the menu promising meat cooked medium, "with a little pink in the middle," my patty was dry and well done, although well seasoned. Clearly The Hub is catering to diners who, like me, enjoy customizing their orders too much for their own good. I like that they have so many bun and patty options (not turkey, though), and a lot of included topping options on the custom burger. But my wheat bun, while definitely wheaty, was untoasted and meh. The tomato and lettuce were both skimpy and didn't tast fresh. In fact, the lettuce tasted a little dirty. I know crunchy lettuce, a warmly griddled bun, or a thick and juicy tomato slice aren't usually a burger's main attraction, but as I muscled my way through a dry, chewy beef patty of uneven thickness, I found myself wishing for them to pick the meal up. My dining companion got a classic burger and let me tell you, this thing was SAUCY. So saucy that I'm not sure there was a burger under there. As a heads up, the classic is lacking the classic lettuce/tomato/etc additions. We also got the brussel sprouts, which were fried and then served with a vinaigrette that mostly got stuck at the bottom of the bowl, as well as the sweet potato fries. To me, the fries fell a little too much on the sweet side because of their spicing. Each time I've come, the restaurant has been mostly families with young children. Went on a Thursday happy hour. Was met by Myles, just a lovely host and manager. He did everything from take our order to deliver it with a smile. He continually checked on us. We then met a lovely owner. Such nice people. Ok so the food. I met a friend and we took the kids and they were very happy. One boy got the crispy chicken sando. Fab. The other son got the kids slider. Perfect size for little guys. The Brussels sprouts crispy fried. The French dip sando was good. Honestly, needs a little work. Maybe more cheese, onions, hot peppers. And love that bread to be toasted. The regular fries very crispy. The sweet potatoes super fab very delish. The kids got creamy swirl cones. Ok, clearly I must have been a loyal puppy in my past life because I just could not give up on The Hub. I also was missing their vegan patty big time. The husband and I did an amazing 80 mile bike ride and the last thing we wanted to do was cook dinner that evening. We both decided to hop on over to our favorite restaurant and cross our fingers that they get our order right. Guess what? The order was perfect and this is exactly why I love The Hub! Stopped by for a light lunch (because we had a heavy brunch earlier). The husband requested a salad, fries, and a beer which sounded good to me too. The fries were probably the best we've ever had (and we've had a lot of fries) and the salad was light and delicious. Service is friendly and we enjoyed sitting outside on a beautiful day. I love burgers so I stopped in after seeing a sign as I drove by. From what I heard the cashier say, this used to be the Farm Burger but they closed for 2 weeks and have rebranded themselves with new owners as "The Hub". I got a #1 (Hub Burger), which is their grass fed beef patty with white cheddar, caramelized onions, and their Hub sauce ($10). I also got a side of fries ($3) with that. The burger came out pretty quick and at first I was a little sad that the burger seemed small, but when I bit into it, I realized the patty was pretty thick. It was a tasty burger and the Hub sauce gave it a nice little kick. They cooked the patty to my liking and the fries were good as well. I wanted to try A new Burger spot and I was craving so I chose to go to the hub and I had a wonderful experience the employee who took my order was very helpful and kind when I went to go get a drink I saw the straw and I was like curious as to what it was made of. I absolutely enjoyed My Burger they cooked it perfectly medium to medium rare and I didn't even have to ask that's just how they do it normally. The quality of the toppings and the bun was very enjoyable and I would definitely recommend the Brussels sprouts they had that cool crispy aspect but also but also paired with the lemon juice topping and the parmesesn were unlike I've had anywhere else. When I asked what the straw was made of he said it was Hay and I was like wow that is so much better than paper or plastic it was amazing. I hope everyone else can catch on to that sooner rather than later. Just as a side note this has nothing to do with the business there were a lot of kids I guess that had gotten out of high school and one of them was on a bike. He rode around this middle aged woman who was pushing a shopping cart to her car and she yelled at him and said never to do that again and that he was stupid. I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich here. The chicken was moist and tender with just the right amount of crispy. The spicy coleslaw used in the sandwich was delicious and really sets it apart. The staff is very nice and there's a lovely shaded area outside where you can eat if you prefer to eat outside. Last night was a burger type of night. I went by the hub burger in san anselmo, its a fairly small place in the local shopping center. I went right around dinner hour so the place was prety busy, however the server took my order quikly and the food came out fast. I went with the bbq bacon burger, the bacon was crisp and plentiful, the cheese was yummy, and the burger was cookd to perfection. I didnt get any sides but they make a mean chili fry and a fantastic onoin ring id highly recomend trying as well. All in all it was good trip in and cant wait for my next visit read more

The burgers are good but very small. If you want anything with the burger it costs extra which makes the place quite expensive. I asked for medium rare. It came medium. The Covid protocols were well-observed, and the outdoor seating was pleasant enough on this sunny day, but ... We were there for an early lunch on a very un-busy day. I asked for a Patty Melt which, as it turns out, this burger joint does not have on their menu. Oh, they have a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, but putting a burger on that was an oddity to them. I ordered the Burger Special, with Bacon, Mushrooms and Onions; all in imperceptible amounts. The burger was only special in that it was smaller, and drier, than normal. The cold-inside Fries that came along with it were a dieter's portion, and it came with a soda fountain soft drink. It should be called a small meal, not a special meal. They price seemed special, but the small portion is what made up for the lower price. Nothing special here. All in all it was $43, all in, for two burgers and two beers for a lunch that left us hungry, was reason enough to pass up on The Hub next time, for me. read more

The Hub has been an oasis for me since moving to San Anselmo. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. The food is excellent, the staff is SUPER friendly and accommodating, and did I mention that the food is excellent? An incredible selection of chicken sandwiches, burgers, and vegetarian options. Delicious salads. I could go on. They have a wonderful and extended happy hour, from 3:30 to 5 on weekdays. They also have great deals for Archie Williams students who come during lunch. The Hub even has a very well working app, which rewards customers for regular patronage. To top it all off, they have at least 6 to 8 artisan beers on tap. The hot chicken sandwich which I was very excited about was quite literally raw in the center. I took a bit and midway through felt slimy, tough raw chicken. Deconstructed it to find a completely pink center. Really not okay. Hoping I don't get sick tonight! This is the best place for quality burgers! Super pet friendly, and they even made a plain burger patty for my dog who enjoyed it 100%. They offer a veterans discount, and exceptional service. You can sit inside or outside. Outside they have heaters, and when your food is ready, they deliver it to you at your table. The customer service is top-notch, and everyone there is extremely friendly. I've also made a friend randomly while dining there, which speaks to the morale of the cool vibes at this place. been to The Hub before. it's usually decent. last night I ordered $40 worth of burgers to go. mind you that's three burgers plus tax and tip. when I got theme home we saw that they were absolutely raw inside. Sadly, that burger experience ruined the rest of the $76 meal experience. I called to let the restaurant know and to give them an opportunity to remedy the situation. One of the best burgers I've ever had. I ordered the hub burger med rare, and holy moly it was delicious. The quality of the meat is amazing and that sauce is heavenly. The staff was so nice, asking me if I needed extra sauces and free extra pickles!! I inhaled it so no picture ;) I saw they do a lunch special for a burger, fries and a soft drink for $11.50 which is a steal for how big the burger is. I'll be back for that!
