One of the best burgers I've ever had. I ordered the hub burger med rare, and holy moly it was delicious. The quality of the meat is amazing and that sauce is heavenly. The staff was so nice, asking me if I needed extra sauces and free extra pickles!! I inhaled it so no picture ;) I saw they do a lunch special for a burger, fries and a soft drink for $11.50 which is a steal for how big the burger is. I'll be back for that! I know that the hub consistently under cooks the burgers. So we ordered the medium well and they came back rare. It was fine when we used to go eat in the restaurant. You could just send it back and have it cooked more. But now, once you get it home you have to toss it out or microwave it or some thing. THE HUB UNDERCOOKS BURGERS. EVERYBODY I TALK TO KNOWS IT. . The Hub - This is Medium Well to the Hub - Burgers Near Me - San Anselmo, California

Hey, we love Hub but disappointed that a kids meal has a $3 up charge to make the kids burgers vegan burgers. Staff tried to explain to me that the $3 is the cost of the patty. Sweet but entirely inaccurate. 1lb of beyond beef costs 10.99 at Safeway next door RETAIL price. We can make 4 1/4 burgers from that for $2.75 each retail. Now the kids burgers are more like an 1/8 lb (see photo). Meaning they cost about 1.37 retail. Now assuming that Hub pays 60% (generous assumption since they must buy in bulk wholesale) that burger cost .82 meaning the markup is more than 300%. Now that's forgetting that they are already charging an included price in the $7 kids meal for the grass fed burger patty. Grass fed meat by the lb is similar to the price for beyond meat so this is exploitive. Assuming $2 goes to the patty (by far the most expensive ingredient) they just got $5 for a vegan 1/8lb patty. I know restaurant in his hard but that's exploitive and we won't be buying anymore meals for the kids here on principle. I guess if they wanted to replace the cost of the burger patty with the cost of the vegan patty that would be acceptable, but too double charge when you only get one patty of similar price is ridiculous. Taking advantage of vegans who need alternatives is not cool. UPDATE: grateful to Hub for their conscientious listening to my feedback and making a menu change. Went tonight to get Beyond Burgers for the little ones and the up charge is indeed reduced! Gave 1 star back for their responsiveness to a client. read more

Only had the burger and other food looked good. They need to get the burger dialed in. Slightly pink center but a bit dry. Wonder if it is 10% fat as opposed to 20. The Hub does serve great burgers and fries. From my experience you really need to request that they be done Medium Well, as their Medium is actually quite rare. Having said that, my wife brought home two burgers yesterday. She asked for them to be cooked Medium, unaware of my discovery. They weren't even close to being cooked the same. In fact, I took one bite from the Rare burger and had to toss it. I really try to help out our local businesses during the pandemic and would have preferred to give The Hub 5 Stars, but the lack of consistency is really unacceptable. read more

A couple years ago this place was "Farm Burger" I kept coming back hoping they would get their quality together and they never did. So when I saw they rebranded themselves as "The Hub" I assumed the food would be different, like the name is. But unfortunately it's still the same crappy quality. I thought I'd try something different this time and ordered a fried chicken sandwich and Mac n cheese. The bun is stale and the fried chicken has been cooked so long that it is chewy and stringy. Last night was my last go at the hub. I almost drive All the way back to hand our burgers and fries back half eaten. The burgers were dry hard little hockey pucks. My bun was just shy of frozen!!! Grrrr and the fries were also clearly reheated which makes any serious fry eater very bummed out. The use of microwaves is all Over the taste of the food nowadays. I'd say there must be new management bc this place used to be so solid. I personally love the hub ! Over Christmas I took my son, Carson, who goes to UC Davis out to lunch. We Landed on The Hub quite quickly and ordered a Superfood salad for myself and a burger with an extra side of fries(‍)for Carson. Our food arrived quickly and Carson wolfed down all his food while I savored very bite. I thought that my salad needed a little more dressing but, judging by the fact that Carson wouldn't stop talking about the burger on the way home this restaurant deserves FIVE STARS! read more

We come here every couple of months, sometimes just the four of us, sometimes with friends. Burgers, fries, milkshakes--it's all good, the price is right, and there is convenient outdoor seating, which is good for the kids. We like the food, but the quality assurance on orders stinks. Just used app to get a delivery today and the order was wrong (supposed to be custom burger w/lettuce and tomato, and instead got one with cheese, hub sauce, pickles and onions) - most likely someone else's burger. 4 stars for the service. 2 stars for the food: I have been coming to this place since it was Farm Burger and enjoyed the burger options much more before it changed to the Hub. Seems the quality of ingredients has been compromised with the new ownership. Also found out they are using GMO Soybean oil for the fryer, this is very disappointing, especially for those of us with food allergies. Soy is a high allergen and if you don't ask, they don't tell you! I urge them to update the menu to say what allergens are in each dish (dairy, soy, gluten...) Very sad they did away with the fresh cut sweet potato fries and opted for frozen dredged in flour. Not very conscious choices for the customer base. Hope it improves. read more

You know, we rarely actually go out to dinner any more, covid and the noisy dining rooms limiting our desire to sit in a restaurant. But we were tired of our own cooking, so we gave the Hub a try for take out. Two burgers and an order of sweet potato fries. It was plenty for two and very fresh and delicious. Lots of sauce on the burger, cooked perfectly with pickles and such. This will be our go-to for reasonably priced delicious comfort food. Happy to support a local restaurant that makes it easy to enjoy traditional burgers, and the staff is very warm and prompt. Glad to recommend Hub. Met my GF with our young hungry boys after a long day of basketball camp. My son loves the bacon cheeseburger and says it's the best he's had! He gets it every time and also the soft serve ice cream. The Hub has consistently been disappointing. The man who took our order was condescending and rude. My teenage daughter summed it up nicely when she said, "he thinks he's a celebrity because he owns the place, but he's just obnoxious." The food: my vegan patty disintegrated as I ate it and the "super salad" was not so super. The dressing was bitter to the point where I could hardly get it down. The place is killing it because it's a hot spot and there aren't many great options in San Anselmo. I have given this place many tries because I loved the vegan burger from Farm burger but it is just an oily hot mess. I will not go back. While in Marin for an appointment, I was craving a burger, reached for Yelp, and found The Hub. I am left feeling very mixed about the experience. First Impressions & Ordering: The restaurant is in a nice little shopping center and offers a fair amount of patio seating. Still playing COVID-conscience, I ordered from the large walk-up window behind one other group perusing the menu. No staff appeared for several minutes, and another guest could be seen waiting for service inside. When staff finally appeared, there was not a face covering to be found. Now I know mask mandates have recently been lifted (and I am not necessarily deducting stars for that), but for a restaurant that claims on its website that health and safety are a top priority, I was hoping they would have continued to keep masks on while preparing and serving food. Service: That being said, once staff was available to take orders, everyone was friendly and food was ready In a reasonable amount of time. I ordered The American (#2) with minor substitutions plus $2 bacon; garlic parmesan fries, and an Oreo shake. Food: I appreciate any business that focuses on quality, and The Hub seems to pride itself on grass-fed beef and well-sourced product. Awesome! They even default to cooking burgers medium and offer wheat buns, which I also appreciate. They even use a strong hay straw instead of paper one. Love it! However, the food quality was lacking. While the burger was intentionally cooked under (fine), it really needed more seasoning and ended up being one of more bland grass-fed beef burgers I have had. The garlic parmesan fries did not have enough garlic or parmesan, although fries themselves seemed to be cooked OK. The seasonal Oreo shake was tasty but a bit thin. Lasting Impressions: Overall, he place seems like a nice local burger spot with a good atmosphere. The menu has a variety of options. The staff is friendly (when available). But for the high price ($28 for burger, specialty fries, and seasonal shake), execution of the quality must exceed the intentions, no matter how positive and gourmet the intentions. With other good quality burgers in the area, I am unlikely to justify the cost of returning the next time I am in Marin, which is too bad considering the pesto chicken sandwich and the French dip inspired steak sandwich sound promising from their menu descriptions. read more
