Came here for lunch and came back the next day for breakfast. The gift shop was awesome, and they had a huge selection of items. Lunch: I had the bison burger with the huckleberry BBQ sauce and fries. The burger was very good, and the fries were definitely a winner! The huckleberry pie was good, but the huckleberry milkshake was the star of the show! The burger with jalapeño was delicious, and the Philly was too! Breakfast was a bit disappointing. The eggs weren't cooked to order, and the pancakes and French toast was ok. The huckleberry coffee was delicious. It can be a bit confusing to order, and you could definitely tell first-timers! Terrible in service, food quality, and pricing! Went three times during my stay in Hungry Horse. I went the first time to check for souvenirs. The second time was for ice cream. The cone was already cracked but the kid still used it. The ice was already melting and leaking down the cracked side when he handed it to me. Had to inhale the ice cream in 3 minutes before it fell off the cone and leaked all over the napkins. Stupid! The third time was to get a piece of huckleberry pie Togo. OMG! The slice was literally becoming mush because the pie crust was pathetic. The size of the slice was a joke! The taste was alright but didn't make me want another one. Don't go here. Nicest gift shop outside of the National Park. Bar none. Best selection of quality merchandise, friendliest employee, cleanest restrooms. Oh, and the food is fantastic. I ordered online some cherry syrup and 3 tins of the cherry tea. It took a week to get my items, 3 days later that i was told it would take, but when i finally got my box, they sent 3 tins of wild huckleberry tea, not the flathead cherry. I have been emailing and calling since Saturday, and so far the only communication i have received from them was an email with my tracking number. I have the shipment, but not what i ordered. I can't seem to get any one to respond to the fact that they sent me the wrong stuff. Very very poor costumer service to be sure. Ok, so shout out to Kathy (or with a C, I don't know which) and Tina. when i finally got a hold of someone these ladies got to work making it right for me, and they didn't even ask me to return the wrong tea, so that will be going to my tea loving sister. The Huckleberry Patch is a big tourist attraction with a restaurant and a big gift shop. The food was decent and the restaurant clean.

After a long weekend in Glacier National Park, this was the perfect treat as we hit the road. Strongly recommend the drive out of the park to get good "regular priced" food. Their sign states they speak Huckleberry... very very true. Hands down one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. No matter why you are passing by... this deserves a stop. The huckleberry milkshake is to die for. Made fresh with their homemade ice cream and their huckleberry jam. We also had their patch burger which was a good choice. Hungry Horse is a small town that you drive through when going to the west end of Glacier National Park and Kalispell, so when we saw the sign of a restaurant called The Huckleberry Patch, with plenty of other signs indicating they had the best huckleberry pie and milkshake, we had to make a stop! The Huckleberry Patch is a restaurant and gift store with a lot of Huckleberry items to see and eat. The restaurant serves heartier, hot meals while the coffee counter is where you can easily get a slice of huckleberry pie and a huckleberry milkshake, which is what we ordered. The huckleberry pie was served warm and was delicious! Made with just huckleberries for the filling in a flaky pie crust, it was certainly worth coming here for. To top it off we had our huckleberry milkshake, which added that a la mode for the pie, as it was super creamy, with lots of huckleberry flavor! Ya gotta get these two items while at the Huckleberry Patch! I also was able to purchase some huckleberry gifts for friends, like huckleberry syrup and chocolate. But the gift store was large, with a lot of items to check out. I recommend making a stop at The Huckleberry Patch if this is your first time in the area and haven't had any huckleberry dessert. Went specifically for the pie. Pie crust is terrible. Looked so fwd to it and the crust was undercooked , very doughy, rubbery, bland. Scraped out the filling which was good. Very disappointed. The Huckleberry Milkshakes are amazing, with real whole Hu ckleberries. There's a cute shop with food clean restrooms. Saw the local firefighters having the burgers and they looked really good. There's a burger finishing station where you can put the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc on the burger. We just ate lunch at the Huckleberry Patch. It was delicious! My husband got a hamburger and onion rings. He said the bread on the hamburger was amazing. I got the Alpine Cristo served with huckleberry jelly. It was just maybe the best one I've ever had. The prices were good and the place was clean. Then they have all kind of huckleberry desserts and man were they good ! Kira helped us with our order and she was so sweet. Then we shopped in the gift store. So many unique items to choose from. Huckleberry is king in Montana so when you're here you have to get huckleberry everything. There is a gift shop which has lots of varieties of souvenirs but I went straight to the restaurant area. They serve ice cream and shakes but they're well known for their huckleberry pie which is what I got. They serve them by the slice ($5.95) and also by the whole if they're not running low. It is super busy and the lines are long but they go by pretty quickly. The huckleberry pie was good and had a lot of huckleberry filling. Other than that it was just a normal slice of pie. It's slightly expensive given the amount of pie they give but they can afford to do that when it's such in high demand. read more

If you love trying out local foods when traveling then this is the place for you. Huckleberries grow only in the wild and are found all around the Glacier region. We knew we wanted to try some huckleberry products to try them since they're local, but we weren't ready for just how delicious huckleberries would be and we got a bunch of huckleberry products and Flathead cherry products. We also tried the huckleberry milkshake, which was out of this world! Now I'm not one to usually get milkshakes and I've probably only ever had 4-5 in my entire life, but it was so good that we came back again the next day to get another one! It was seriously one of the best things I've ever had; it was the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and a little tart and you just have to try it when you come here. The food was just okay. They messed up my Philly by adding peppers even though I asked for none. When it was replaced there was almost two tablespoons of meat on my sandwich. It was like they pulled off everything that touched the peppers and just returned my sandwich with half the content. Not worth it! The Huckleberry pie was tasty but, only had a top crust and that was odd. Also, the fried pickles have spicy on them so be aware. I won't return. However, they have a really nice gift shop. We stopped in on our last day visiting for a Huckleberry Shake and Huckleberry honey sausage biscuit. The shake came out quick and was delicious! It is chunky in texture due to chunks of huckleberry throughout the shake, just a heads up. We then waited with our order # 47 sign for the sausage biscuit. After 40 minutes, we asked to check on the order and were told that they are out of sausage. They offered to make it without the sausage, but didn't offer a substitute or refund.
