Huckleberry is king in Montana so when you're here you have to get huckleberry everything. There is a gift shop which has lots of varieties of souvenirs but I went straight to the restaurant area. They serve ice cream and shakes but they're well known for their huckleberry pie which is what I got. They serve them by the slice ($5.95) and also by the whole if they're not running low. It is super busy and the lines are long but they go by pretty quickly. The huckleberry pie was good and had a lot of huckleberry filling. Other than that it was just a normal slice of pie. It's slightly expensive given the amount of pie they give but they can afford to do that when it's such in high demand. read more

The food was just okay. They messed up my Philly by adding peppers even though I asked for none. When it was replaced there was almost two tablespoons of meat on my sandwich. It was like they pulled off everything that touched the peppers and just returned my sandwich with half the content. Not worth it! The Huckleberry pie was tasty but, only had a top crust and that was odd. Also, the fried pickles have spicy on them so be aware. I won't return. However, they have a really nice gift shop. They have the standard t shirts and "look, we were in Glacier National Park!" items, but they are also all about the huckleberry concept. If you love trying out local foods when traveling then this is the place for you. Huckleberries grow only in the wild and are found all around the Glacier region. We knew we wanted to try some huckleberry products to try them since they're local, but we weren't ready for just how delicious huckleberries would be and we got a bunch of huckleberry products and Flathead cherry products. We also tried the huckleberry milkshake, which was out of this world! Now I'm not one to usually get milkshakes and I've probably only ever had 4-5 in my entire life, but it was so good that we came back again the next day to get another one! It was seriously one of the best things I've ever had; it was the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and a little tart and you just have to try it when you come here. We stopped in on our last day visiting for a Huckleberry Shake and Huckleberry honey sausage biscuit. The shake came out quick and was delicious! It is chunky in texture due to chunks of huckleberry throughout the shake, just a heads up. We then waited with our order # 47 sign for the sausage biscuit. After 40 minutes, we asked to check on the order and were told that they are out of sausage. They offered to make it without the sausage, but didn't offer a substitute or refund. This place used to be one of our favorite stops on the way to or from Glaicer National Park. Their huckleberry pie and coffee is good. Unfortunately one of the young female staff members was not so friendly on our last visit. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or generally had a bad attitude. She made us feel not welcome in the store and this is why. 1. We ordered coffees and when she brang them I asked if i could use the wifi and she told me it wasn't working. But another employee happily told me it was working fine and gave me the password. 2. We ordered some pie and she asked if it was for here or to go. I answered for here and she then gave it to me in a take out container. So i asked another employee if i could get it for here and he gladly put it on a plate for me. 3. When i asked if they offer coffee refills she looked at me blankly and another employee turned and said yes we do and refilled my coffee. In our two day stay in the area, we came to huckleberry patch twice. The first time we ordered a huckleberry shake and a slice of huckleberry pie. If you like your pie warm, asked for it dine in and they'll heat it up for you, we ordered it to go and it came in a plastic container. The shake was very yummy (can't go wrong w a shake), but not much huckleberry flavor even though it had huckleberries inside of it. On our second visit, we decided to order ice cream, huckleberry of course, and party animal (cotton candy flavor ice cream w animal crackers). We were impressed by the sheer size of the scoops- pretty sure it was at least a pint of ice cream balancing on the cone. Great taste and value for what it is! Of the flavors, party animal was superior. Not quite sure what the hype for huckleberries is but it was a nice experience. read more

During our stay in the Glacier National park area, we tried 4 different huckleberry milkshakes. For me this place made the best one! It was so smooth and strong huckleberry flavor, which was so new to me and very easy to drink up! They also got some snacks, ice cream and other local souvenir goods. My fiancé and I kept seeing signs for this place while driving to and from Glacier NP. On our last day of our trip, we finally decided to stop in especially since we've never had huckleberry before. Not only is it a gift shop where they sell tons of huckleberry products and other souvenirs but they also have a restaurant. We didn't buy any souvenirs but we did get a single scoop of huckleberry ice cream and an iced sun tea to go, which were pretty good. The huckleberry ice cream wasn't too sweet.
