Wow this is THE place to go to for all things Huckleberry in Montana. We tried the Famous Huck Shake & a double scoop of huckleberry ice cream. Both were phenomenal and had huckleberry pieces in the icecream/shake. They also serve food here and it was quite packed! I assume it's delicious too! There's a souvenir shop with awesome pieces to pick from that are different from the NP's visitor centers. A must see in my opinion!

Wow! What a nice place- was expecting it to be a tourist trap. But you can really sense the pride they take in keeping up the quality of this place. Service wasn't quick, considering how busy they were. You order up at the counter and are given a buzzer. We ordered a huckleberry shake and wings with huckleberry jalapeño sauce. Both were excellent. They had a bar with ranch, many sauces and condiments. Very clean. Gift shop was very cute too and fairly reasonable In pricing. And the restrooms were resort grade lol.

We stopped for the huckleberry shake and it did not disappoint! It was DELICIOUS and packed with huckleberries! I'm so happy we stopped. There was a line, but it moved quickly and the shake was done before I could return from the restroom. By the way, best restroom I visited on our entire trip - clean and private - perfect!

If you're visiting you know you are being advertised Huckleberry from everywhere. We stopped here and agreed it had the best Huckleberry pastries! We ordered their Huckleberry à la mode on two separate occasions and ordered their Huckleberry Arnold Palmer (free refills!). We got 4 refills of their Huckleberry Arnold Palmer. It also has lots of souvenirs, lots of bathrooms, water filling station and little pressed penny machine! Tables could be a little bit cleaner but overall great vibes and value.

Stop in for the huckleberry everything! This spot is loud and proud on the road into Glacier West Entrance and was open until 9 during my visit in the summer. This is your one stop shop for huckleberry goodies to bring back home, sweet treats, burgers, and more. Without knowing very much about what huckleberry actually is, I tried a scoop of the ice cream. It was tasty! It's similar to blueberry and blackberry flavor wise. My single scoop was huge! It was the perfect treat driving out of Glacier.

What a fun place to go for souvenirs lunch and great desserts. We didn't have any activities planned for the day, but had read reviews about this place. We spent about an hour and a half there. We both had the hamburger lunch special and huckleberry pie for dessert. My husband bought a couple T-shirts and I bought a cute mug. Definitely a great tourist stop! Would go back just for a sweet treat!

We had stopped here the day before after hiking for shakes and thought the menu looked good, so we stopped the next day for a late lunch. Like so many other places in the area you order from a counter and then sit and wait to pick up your food. Our group had a cheeseburger, BLT, kids cheese quesadilla and the Glacier Dip. The BLT and Glacier Dip were awesome. The kids said their cheeseburger and quesadilla were ok. Of course we had shakes again too. The shakes were perfection! Prices were good for the food, I think the drinks (iced tea, lemonade and a soda) were expensive at $4 each. I don't think they offered refills either? As is always the case at these types of places I am never sure if we are meant to bus our own tables or not? Anyways I would definitely recommend a stop here!

We stopped for a bite to eat on the way back from GNP. It is quite a busy tourist stop with an attached gift shop which is nicely appointed. Plenty of food gifts and other souvenirs to choose from. This is a stand in line and order type restaurant. We walked in, grabbed menus and ordered our food. The long line went quickly which was nice. You take a number to a table and wait for the number to be called. They do not bring out your food, you grab it from the counter. I ordered the original classic cheeseburger with onion rings. They have a separate spot to grab condiments and toppings for the burgers and sandwiches. Overall my cheeseburger was tasty. They don't cook to order which is disappointing as I would have preferred a medium burger but it did not taste overdone. The onion rings were crispy and well seasoned. We ordered the slice of huckleberry pie to share. It was super sweet, delicious. The crust was more moist than flaky but overall pretty tasty. The restaurant was clean and staff seemed efficient. The restrooms were located in the back of the gift shop and were clean. I thought it was a good spot to stop after visiting the park.

    Huckleberry puff! So flaky.

Excellent stopover for gifts, food and bathroom break! The service is quick and efficient-- friendly staff despite how busy & long lines! Comfortable and vibrant stopover. Get huckleberry puffs and turnovers! Mmmmm! Also the waffle mix with the jam included is good buy.

Huckleberry, bear, claw and croissant. Both were great but I prefer croissants in general

Awesome spot for souvenirs and a snack! Just like anything when you're traveling, the prices are more than you would typically think, but not so out of line that they were un affordable. We purchased lots of jelly and preserves to take back home, as well as some honey. We did not wait very long for our shakes or treats. I think that's probably based on what time you arrive. Super friendly staff. The only negative is that they consider preserves and jam the same which in the south it is two different things. Other than that, great place! Also, the canned goods do not have a seal so you're just hoping no one opened it when you get home to use. Skip the place nearby- it doesn't compare and smells...

As a child I loved picking wild huckleberries with my mom. She would make the most amazing pie with our day's pickings. They are no longer available in Florida, so finding The Huckleberry Patch was a dream come true. We bought a whole pie to take to our rental, and oh my goodness. It is delicious. The crust doesn't match our family recipe, but the huckleberries are the star! Yum

Went here to eat for the first time and it was soooo good! We had the huckleberry monte cristo, huckleberry lemonade and huckleberry pie and ice cream. I would order them again bc they were so good! Pie was filled with lots of huckleberries And came with huckleberry ice cream. So good. The lemonade was good too and had real huckleberries. The sandwich was delicious! And came with huckleberry jam to dip it in. People were friendly here too. Also the bathrooms are pretty cool. Lol they have red and green lights to tell you what's available. Super cute store too with everything Montana and glacier. Can't wait to come back! And the sign said they're open all year :)

Although a tourist destination...this place was fun to shop at. Bought a few sweatshirts, some huckleberry jam, and had a nice lunch.

    Do they have huckleberry pancakes?

I think they used to have huckleberry pancakes, but no longer due to staffing issues according to their website.

What are the hours during covid? Full menu?

Hi Anne- Thanks for checking in with us. Currently, we are operating 10-8. The grill is open…

How much is a slice of pie with ice cream?

Thanks for the note Julie! Our huckleberry pie is $4.95 per slice and + $1 for ala mode. All our pies are homemade right here....9" deep dish and loaded with huckleberries!

Went here on Friday (7/24) just past noon with thoughts of getting some yummy huckleberry treats. We were in the gift shop area and looking at various items. There was a young lady who was very kind and asked if we needed any help, but I was just browsing a bit. A few moments later, a man who I can only guess was the manager, came from the restaurant side and snapped "I NEED YOU UP HERE ATTENDING TO CUSTOMERS!" The young girl was literally standing behind the counter and had just helped me! I was shocked at his gruff treatment of an employee, especially when it was unfounded. I thought I might be too sensitive, so I wandered off to find my husband and when I did, I heard the man tell the employee, "I'm putting out these damaged shirts on sale. If anyone complains about the holes, tell them that's why they are $19 not $33!" Again, his tone was nasty. I set down the several jars of jam, honey and candy I was planning to purchase and told my husband that I wasn't buying anything here and left. My husband was bummed about not getting any pie. Anyone who loudly and proudly treats employees that way and boldly makes such flippant comments about customers needs to rethink their priorities. I'll take my business elsewhere and I hope the young Asian lady finds a job that appreciates her soon.

HUGE SHOUTOUT TO MAGGIE!!!…read more During my last night in Whitefish, I was looking for a souvenir shirt. After shopping for a while, my husband and I ended up at Northwind Shirt Company. I was SUPER impressed with their selection of t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, etc...and ended up purchasing a grey sweatshirt. Maggie was incredibly friendly and helpful, during our shopping visit, and the three of us were chitchatting about the area and whatnot. She happened to mention that her brother owned Montana Tap House nearby. My husband and I left to do some more shopping, and about an hour later (after the shop had closed), I realized that I had left my purse in the dressing room and I had a 6:35a.m. flight home to Arkansas. I called the shop to no avail, and then remembered that Maggie had told us about her brother. I had the idea to navigate to Montana Tap House...hopefully find someone that knew her brother, and in turn reach out to Maggie. And that's exactly what we did. Upon arriving at the tap room, I walked up to the bartender and told him my situation. He smiled and said that he could help. Maggie's brother (owner of Montana Tap House) was literally sitting two chairs down from me. He called Maggie and within 10 minutes, she met me back at Northwind Shirt Company and unlocked the doors for me to retrieve my purse. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Maggie, for going out of your way to help a stranger out!!!You're my hero!!!
