If you order an iced beverage, make sure you ask for extra ice, because by the time they decide to get done with your drink, the 3 ice cubes they use have melted. The girls that work here are super friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Their coffee is delicious! I usually get a sugar-free low-fat vanilla latte, but today I got a snowy caramel mocha (50% off if you check in!) and it is soooooo good and creamy. I'm definitely not minding the extra calories. I have to start by saying I LOVE their coffee and espresso. It is hands down my favorite to-go coffee - tastes great. My problem is more with the staff. Half of them are unfriendly or downright rude, and despite my frequent patronage I never seen get a welcome greeting. Another star loss is because over there last four months I've probably gone here 10 times and about 70% of those times my coffee has been made incorrectly. (It's not that hard- I order a muddy snowy with no whip cream.) Last time I went they had a young girl (maybe 11 years old?) playing with the other register. Which is fine, I'm a mom I TOTALLY get it... until the barista left my debit card lying within her reach and she picked it up and started playing with it. The barista then handed me my (incorrectly made) coffee and told me to have a nice day... and I had to remind her to give me my card back. I'll be going to the other location from now on, but it's a shame since I live right down the street from here. read more

I visit this location pretty frequently. Coffee is consistent and is hands down better than lotsa bucks coffee. I like coffee, and used to get made fun of my selections since I don't normally get a "normal coffee". The human bean has a good roast and and the drip is quick to provide the boost I need to start the day or continue through the day. The girls seem slightly distracted at times but seem to get the job done. I absolutely love this coffee chain. The drinks are consistently delicious and the staff are so friendly. I normally order a Java Chip Granita in the 8 oz. size. I have taken family here as well that are in town visiting and they've really enjoyed it as well. I also have the app which is so convenient for paying and collecting rewards. I used to be a Starbucks drinker, but for numerous reasons do not shop there any longer. I find the Human Bean app to be very superior to the Starbucks app for convenience and ease of use. I enjoy Human Bean because of their yummy flavored drinks. My favorite is a Matte Latte with Snowy. This was actually introduced to me by one of the baristas there and have been in-love ever since. My regular drink before this was a Snowy Mocha and oh man, that too is delicious. I can't say much about their actual coffee because I am not a coffee drinker... I am a "fru-fru coffee drinker" (that's what I like to call myself). But I have heard great things about their coffee from a lot of people so it must be good. The ladies/baristas here are very friendly and since I go here pretty frequently, they know my "usual". Another thing I love about Human Bean is how convenient it is. They don't have the normal coffee shop feel where you sit and chat with friends or be hovered over your computer, instead they are a drive-thru set-up where you order and get your drink at the same window, what a concept. They have 2 great locations south of town, I do wish they would come to the Midtown area but their concept might not quite work in Midtown since people that come to Midtown or are residents are more about socializing rather than convenience. read more

I have been here a few times. I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I was given a gift certificate from my job so I thought ok I will go try it. My first time here we had a hiccup. The girl behind the counter did spill my drink all over my purse but she cleaned everything off and I even offered to help cause I know accidents happen. I wasn't mad at all. The girl behind the counter remade my drink and didn't charge me even though I told her that was not necessary. She insisted so I gave her a tip that was almost the cost of the drink! Unfortunately we've had the same experience twice now and I can't bring myself to continue supporting this place. The only person working spent several minutes leaning completely out of the window just chatting with the customer, knew they had more folks in line and then waited until their conversation was over before then taking that persons order. I wanted to grab a treat but I don't have loads of time to wait for a business to ignore the customer so they can hang out with friends. Okay, so I have been here a handful of times and I'm not a big coffee person but every time I do want a cappuccino I come here, and the girls are awesome. I usually order a Java chip or a Granita and it is so delicious every single time. But today, I went bc I got some teeth pulled to get my braces tightened and didn't eat anything to help with the anesthesia. I went to go get my prescription and was prescribed some heavy medication and needed a full stomach before taking them. So, I came here and I couldn't talk due to a numb mouth and all the gauze so I wrote it on my phone. The girl at the window was so sweet, she read it and got my order right away. I ordered a mango smoothie and even though I can't taste it, I'm sure it is delicious. I'm just more happy with the AMAZING customer service all the girls who work here give. They do have some staff that aren't always 100% when it comes to customer service but the management team is amazing and handles everything very well. But not everyone is perfect. I ordered a 16 oz. eggnog latte the other day and I bet I could have fit it into a 12 oz. cup. Bummed out that I couldn't taste any eggnog. I agreed to have the whip cream, but after I drove away, I took the lid off there was no whip and plenty of room for more coffee. So not only did I pay for a 16 oz. and essentially get a 12 oz drink, I also gave a $1 tip. Next time, I think I will spend my $5.50 down the street. Located very conveniently on Longley and McCarran, this tiny location for coffee, tea, and drinks always surprises me with new things to try. I always see a line of cars on each side of the building during the day, meaning they are quite busy. I like the prices for the drinks and the simple size options. The people working there always know what to suggest depending on your craving! Some of my favorites are the blueberry smoothie, lavender lemonade, and the oh so simple lattes. First time I tried it, I had to drive away because the line wasn't moving. Gave it a second try. The barista was very sweet and got this place one star above the minimum. I got a large iced coffee with vanilla and almond milk, a nice little splurge on my tight budget. The first thing this Barista did was fill this cup to the absolute top with ice; we already have a problem. There is no reasonable need for that much ice in any drink. Anyway, I got the drink and tasted it. I could have saved myself time if I just went to my cupboard and drank straight vanilla extract. There was no coffee flavor in this thing, it was all really bad vanilla flavor. I tried really hard to drink it because I paid for it, but I had my wife try it and she almost gagged. We drove directly to Starbucks and got a trenta iced coffee with vanilla and almond milk just so we could get rid of the taste. I wish I could describe it better, but it was just such a harsh vanilla flavor that I don't know what to say. My wife and I have 10+ years of barista experience between us, and if either of us served something like that to a customer we would be personally embarrassed. read more
