I don't understand why there's a cover charge just to get into a bar where you're then expected to pay extremely high prices for beer and mixed drinks. The bar itself feels a bit run-down and not very clean, and the employees didn't seem very friendly--or at least didn't appear to be enjoying their jobs. The one standout is the unique statue out front, which was procured from Magic Carpet on Speedway, a once super-cool putt-putt golf course. Unfortunately, that novelty alone isn't enough to make up for the overall experience.

Always our favorite place to be on an early Saturday night. The music. The community. The service. By far our most frequented business in town.

I visited The Hut for a hosted Pre-game party and really liked the tiki vibe and not to mention the huge statue head in the front. I was also impressed by how large the space was including the indoor area with stage and outdoor patio, which seems to be rather normal in AZ. Besides the ambiance, the drinks were ok (got a few beers and a vodka mule) in which they used well alcohol. But I guess I should've expected it since it is a college area. Additionally I was surprised at the prices, very affordable for about $5-6 each, something I haven't seen in a while.

Went on Sunday night and watched the shows. Had a great time and strong drinks. 420 Taco truck was there and it's Tucsons best Taco Truck. 420 also offers freeze dried skittles!

Looking dope on the outside, mayo fest on the inside

Easily one of the worst bars I've been too and Tucson does not have much to offer if you want the wack-est dj who most females wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole to play Taylor swift at 2 am and think the vibes will be immaculate this is the place for you. A lobotomy after this ordeal would be ideal

I went to this bar in October and had the best drink ever...it was some kind of mule....not a Moscow mule...what is it ? I must have another!

Likely Mexican Mule with tequila. They're the best!!

The fact that they serve Coors Banquet on tap is what drew me to The Buffet! We walked into The Buffet and sat at the bar, which was extremely busy, but the vibe was full of energy. The bartender was absolutely awesome and made my wife an excellent mixed drink. I ordered Coors Banquet from the tap, oh what a joy! Spoke to some regulars of the bar and had great conversations about this place. I learned that The Buffet is the oldest bar in Tucson and the largest vendor of Coors. Very friendly people in a quintessential "dive bar". Lots of character decorate the walls. The prices for drinks at The Buffet are extremely affordable. A night out here won't break the bank. I could easily become a regular at this place (if I didn't live so far away). I definitely will return when when I'm in the area again. My visit here was well worth my time. This is a great place to slow down and enjoy the Iron Horse District of Tucson. As a side note, in reading about this bar, I was led to believe that it was cash only. That is not true, they now take cards.

It feels like there is ALWAYS something going on here. On my first visit, my girlfriend took me on a date here to catch a burlesque show. It was absolutely packed and everyone had a great time! And every Friday and Saturday night, there is some reiteration of a goth dance night ($5 cover). I also appreciate the slightly older crowd full of my fellow thirtysomethings, and the upstairs patio cannot be missed when the weather is nice. The cocktail menu isn't anything especially fancy, but there's still something for everyone to enjoy. My favorite is always the Prickly Heat--think a prickly pear margarita that's absolutely loaded with fresh jalapenos. It's not for the weak! There's also food, and while it's not mind-blowing or anything you'll appreciate that you can have a nice snack at midnight on a weekend. Let's keep the women, and security man restroom clean! The awesome surly patriots at the wench bar made sure to take it to the street and communicate a policy of forgiveness and brutal clarity in making sure certain members of our community cannot go bathroom real quick without a valid state ID or proper members. This place is located in an artsy / entertainment district close to downtown. When we went, there was road construction nearby that made getting here more challenging. Once we located it, the next challenge was parking. We visited around noon on a Saturday. There are no large parking lots, so you have to find something on-street. We ventured a couple of blocks off the main street and found something. However, the signage wasn't really clear on whether you had to pay on weekends or not. We accessed the parking app via a QR code, but it told us that our space 'was not available', despite the fact that we were in the space. A guy leaving the space next to us confirmed that parking *was* free on weekends, so we trusted that and walked to the restaurant. In retrospect, I think the app meant that we did not need to pay, but 'not available' seems a bit vague for that... The restaurant is located on a strip of old storefronts that now house restaurants, record shops, etc. There was a lot of pedestrian traffic out front, including a homeless guy asking for change. The atmosphere was sort of a loud, slightly cramped dive bar. I don't mean that in a bad way, but that was the vibe. The music was loud - none of it was familiar but I didn't hate it. I guess my point is that if you are looking for a quiet spot for lunch, this is probably not it. We initially were offered a table on their covered patio. We left one person there while sorting out parking, but when we came back they had a booth inside so we grabbed that instead. The patio seemed shaded and semi-comfortable, other than a loud barking dog. We browsed the menus and ordered our food. We all got half-and-half combos (soup/salad or sandwich/soup). The only issue was that the soups came in a bread bowl. I was able to finish my soup, but felt bad about not eating more of the bowl. If I'd had the option, I would have gotten a plastic bowl. The salad was pretty big, despite being only half. I finished most of it. We ended up having sufficient leftovers from others such that we took them back to our hotel (a relatively short drive) and finished them the next evening. All the food was tasty. This wasn't what I was expecting, but I'd consider eating here again given the right circumstances / group.

When first entering it's a very small booths and bar but if you continue down the hall past the bathrooms they have a big open outside/indoor patio seating area! Great if you have kids or pets with you So the food. Honestly some of the best sandwiches I've ever had Their combo with the bread bowl and half a sandwich is hard to beat to be honest. A little bit of both worlds there I recommend eating the bread bowl first because it's more filling that you think and you can take the sandwich home They have a wide range of options for everyone And even offer a picky kid friendly sandwiches like PB & J, might sound boring or normal but that was the best PB & J I've ever had The staff is very nice and helpful They run the bar also and will bounce between the bar and your table So if the bar is busy I'm sure it could take a bit for you to order at your table Great food Great environment And friendly people Highly recommended!

Everything is made differently with less flavor and finesse. The lettuce wraps used to be standout now they're dry and under seasoned. It's also presented differently which made for an awkward dining experience. I remember being blown away by the katsu chicken sandwhich the first time. This time it was gross. It was not fried like katsu but more so like a battered chicken breast. It always was not pounded flat into a uniform piece of meat but was more so a badly butchered breast that fell apart when you ate it. It was dry, under seasoned, fried way too hard and was stringy. It is dark inside and usually I do not like going into establishments that do not have windows. At 530 pm on a Saturday night, the bar was half full and there were a few tables with people as the band was setting up for later in the evening. We ordered drinks and some appetizers. Perhaps our waitress was just having an off day, but there were a few errors. I specifically asked for our appetizers to come out prior to our main courses as I like to enjoy the small plates before the main course. I want to sit down, taste the food, enjoy a beverage and the experience, and not feel rushed. The main courses came out almost as soon as the appetizers, and the tables are small (there was just my wife and I), and it felt cramped when everything came out. The appetizers were quite good and were the highlight of the meal. The Devils on Horseback (Bacon Wrapped Dates stuffed with Herbed Goat Cheese) were flavorful, but would have been better baked then deep-fried. The Spicy Korean Style Meat Balls (House made Garlic Ginger Meatballs served with Baby Bok Choy and a Spicy Korean Glaze) were excellent! I had the Sonoran Perfect Manhattan. While the drink was ok, I think using the word "perfect" is more of an aspiration. The Kara-Age Chicken Sandwich (Japanese-style Fried Chicken sandwich with our Asian Slaw, on a soft Brioche Bun. Also available "HOT" style with Sriracha) could have been better. I asked our waitress some questions about the food and then pointed out this is not what was described in the menu for example it was supposed to come with Cajun fries, and these were just plain fries. She explained that they were down a cook. I was going to have another drink, but we just decided to leave. Perhaps they just had an off night; it happens. I think this place has potential, and I'd like to experience it more positively than I did.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem.
