Jason from LCS showed up first and his customer service impressed me from the minute he walked in my door. I also liked the fact that this was a locally owned family company. When I received the estimates I found the price from LCS to be the most competitive for the top of the line unit that I wanted and in line with what I expected to spend. The other two estimates were offering lesser units, at higher costs, and the maintainnce fees for subsequent years were higher. The install was completed and I'm extremely impressed at the efficiency of the Mitsubishi ductless units as well as how well the install went. In this case, we needed to replace a natural gas hot water boiler and the water tank connected to it and we hired LCS. LCS had glowing reviews here on Yelp and I hoped they were true when we decided to hire them. I can say now that those reviews weren't glowing enough. LCS's attention to detail and their commitment to the quality of their work is amazing. Three anecdotes to give you a feel: 1) They were to arrive on day 1 of a 2-day installation at 8:30 am. They arrived at 8:33 and the first words out of their mouth were a sincere apology for being late. 2) At the end of the job, they found that the thermostat they had was not the one they ordered, and they asked to stop by the next day to install the correct one. While here the next day, they noticed a drip from the exhaust vent that that might possibly hint at a thing that, someday, in the exact wrong conditions, could possibly cause a problem with exhaust pressure. And they then spent the next 6 hours very, very, very slightly rerouting the exhaust to correct that fault. 3) Later that same day, at supper time, the new thermostat - which was working fine when they left - failed; it wasn't demanding heat. I called and they were back within 20 minutes with a new thermostat. The system has worked flawlessly since. These guys are a small locally owned small business. Just some guys trying to make a living. Jason, Jonathan and Patrick are the ones I know they're legitimate, honest, responsive professionals who are trying to do it right. Reward them.

They tried to install the air handling system in my…read morehome and when I had my local inspector inspect the work Tapper and Sons did, he asked me if this was their first install because they did it totally wrong. They used toxic cancer causing glue inside the air supply side that specifically states "NOT FOR INDOOR USE" because I found the tubes in my garbage. When I walked in on them when they installed it, they were all high from the fumes and the owner had actually fell on the floor he told me. When I called to tell them they needed to rip it all out because the township inspector failed the install, Rob told me he has been doing it that way for 25 years. (I said, doing it WRONG for 25 years and making people sick). I am sure his employees will lose as many brain cells as Rob has and in my opinion, they should go to OSHA. I paid them 75 percent up front to install, but once I told him he failed inspection, he would not return my calls, not from any of his phone lines or his own cell, office phone, emails, texts. Total FRAUD . So I am out $15,000 and had to hire a real HVAC company. I actually did the air handling system and vents myself because I got screwed out of all that money and did not have enough. The work I did passed inspection and was told by the township inspector and the new reputable HVAC company that installed the heater unit that my work was 100 times better than what Crapper and Sons did. Stay away from this company, they are clueless, unreliable and criminals in my opinion. Got a lawyer friend of mine to look into it and he said I have a solid case against them, but would cost about the same in lawyer fees and would take a year or more. So Rob know how to play the system and that is about it. He got his money and his new motorcycle as I saw in his social media from what I paid him and that is all he cares about. Total loser.

We had contacted another local HVAC company and they only emailed us their quote with various options. Not knowing much about the specifics of HVAC units we had no idea what was best for the size of our house. We therefore opted to contact Staley Mechanical for a quote. Not only did they provide a lower quote, Ron came to our house and reviewed the quote in detail with us and explained the various options. The units were ordered and ready to be installed but Installation was scheduled when we were going to be out of town. Ron was good and set up the installation while we were gone. We felt confident and trusting to have him in our home while we were gone. When we arrived back from vacation the installation was complete and there was heat in the house! Ron came out the following evening and presented us with a comprehensive manual and reviewed the systems, warranties, and cleaning/maintenance schedule. He was very thorough from start to finish and we couldn't be more pleased with the workmanship, communication, and pricing. We highly recommend Ron for a great professional experience.

We have a problem. Thermostat was set to 75, temp was reading 78, and climbing. We have out of town guests coming in 4 days. If we can't resolve this we'll have to arrange for a hotel, not to mention living in miserable heat and humidity. Good luck getting an AC repair in 4 days in the heat of summer! I expect this will be a painful and costly process. I was out Monday and not able to call, so now I'm down to 3 days. After looking over reviews, I decide to call AC&H Services. Scott and Chris have nothing but good reviews. They start at 0700 so I'll try to call and see how far out their schedule is. I call at 7:10. Scott asks for my address and says he'll be here this morning. Wow, impressed that he can get me in today, I think he'll come around lunchtime, walk around and give me an estimate and schedule a future day to come back to do the work. Not at all what happens. Doorbell rings at 7:25! 15 minutes after the phone call! It gets better! At the door, not much in the way of introductions, Scott immediately begins asking questions, what happens, what doesn't happen. Looks at the thermostat for a few seconds, then he and Chris head around back to look at the condenser. Quickly they figure out it's a bad contactor. A relatively inexpensive part that they have on hand in the truck. Just a couple of minutes later and the AC is back online, the house is cooling, the invoice is written, and that's that! I'm good to go and they're ready to leave 30 minutes from the time I called! Clearly things worked out for me and the odds of everything working out don't often happen. One of the reasons I called his business, other than the killer reviews, is that he's very local to me and I hoped it would help, and it did. It's a testament to their professionalism and customer service that, not being an AC expert, Scott could have sold me anything at huge markups because I needed it fixed now. That's not how it went, and I can't express how grateful I am. If at all possible, I will absolutely give Scott my future HVAC business and have, in-fact, advised him that when things slow for him in the fall, I'll want him to replace my old AC unit with something more modern. 10/10 recommend AC&H Services!
