It's kind of dark inside, but is separated into 3 different rooms with pool in the back. Looks like they have regular events here too, but I have yet to check this out. The history of this location is cool. I appreciate a happy hour that goes til 7 pm. I am also thankful for the option to get pizza with dairy free cheese, this was pricey, but tasty. My favorite part was being able to check out all the Rainer memorabilia. I will plan to stop off here in the future when the traffic on the freeway is unbearable.

We asked the server if we could order food at 8:45 and she said it wasn't allowed and walked away. it then took 25 min before we waved down another server to order drinks, because our server served Every person in the room before us and never came back. In that same time two tables around us were served items that we were told we couldn't order and that it was because they came early...except they came in at the same time we did. We asked the people next to us and they said it's because they come all the time. Which is so weird. When we flagged down a server to put down our drink order and asked again about the food she said she was going to go and check with the kitchen and she never came back. What did happen after that though was almost every server except our own of corse, because she never came back again the entire night, made snarky comments to us about everything and were just weirdly short with every interaction. This is the most overrated event. They clearly don't treat all their guest with the same respect and service. We spent $70 to buy tickets, and weren't even treated as human and then at the end of the night after not a single person asked us if we wanted anything and avoided our table like the plague, they had the nerve to act like they were doing us a favor for not meeting the minimum order requirement of $20 a person. We couldn't even get a server to come to our table. We were planning on spending a lot of money tonight, we were there for a galentines date and really wanted to have a good time and the way we were treated really just ruined the entire night. To their credit, the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the facility does offer food, drinks, private party rooms, and a seating area for parents. That said, the overall cleanliness and condition of the play area were very disappointing. The seating area floors were dirty, with leftover food and trash. The playground itself felt unsafe and poorly maintained there was a large pile of shoes at the entrance that children had to dodge while running in and out. Inside, the space was dark and gloomy, lit only by some string lights. Several play features were broken: only half of the ball shooter guns were working, and a touchscreen game area was completely non-functional. When we asked about it, staff told us their "tech person" was busy cooking in the kitchen and would fix it later. The unisex bathroom was in unacceptable condition filthy floors, trash on the ground, and an unflushed toilet. Parking is also inconvenient, as you'll need to find street parking or a nearby structure. I'm not sure if we happened to visit on an especially busy day or if the facility is regularly run this way, but the lack of cleanliness, broken equipment, and unsafe setup made it a very disappointing experience.

The 1 year old did fine in the toddler area and found things she liked to climb over. The older child absolutely loved climbing up and down the stairs and playing with the balls that you can launch. The play area was a little dark in some spaces and some parents would allow their kids to run around with no supervision. I would definitely recommend keeping an eye on the child you are with when they are playing. The food is nothing special, but for kids it's pretty standard pizza and fries. There's usually one person working the front desk, so it might take a minute for your order to be completed.

The option to host parties and group events also makes this a great spot for team outings. Add in plenty of options for food and drinks, and you really don't have to go anywhere else once you're there. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the overall setup makes it easy to spend a few hours playing, hanging out, eating, and having fun. Their slogan is "Serving Up Good Times" and they have a cute groundhog logo. Courts are $40-$80 per hour depending on time and day and so they're definitely on the pricier side as far as court rentals go. There are seating areas so you and your friends can easily rotate in and out. Compared to Side Out Tsunami in Rainier, prices are higher and more catered toward large group parties and events. Tsunami is more competitive and industrial versus Picklewood is more casual play and fancy, complete with a bar and full restaurant. Picklewood has Happy Hour deals that you don't want to miss out on (including weekend) and so you can get discounted appetizers during certain hours. My boyfriend got half-off Buffalo wings that he enjoyed, but they were quite messy and required more napkins than just the cloth napkin they give you. Drinks are full-priced during Happy Hour, but they have some good choices like frozen espresso martinis. Bring your own paddles or rent some casual play ones from the front. They sell branded merch, including Lululemon merch. Bathrooms are clean, but be careful when opening the stall doors because the walkway is narrow and the doors swing outwards. Picklewood has their own convenient parking lot, but fair warning that the spaces are very compact and so anything bigger than a small SUV is going to be a tight squeeze. The staff is friendly and prompt to serve. My only complaint is that the music can be loud so it's hard to hear score and calls, much less have a conversation with the person next to you.

The burger itself was well seasoned and I thought the grilled onions were a great touch. I found that the esquite was especially flavorful given that it's made with chicken broth. There were some cool people who I chatted with a cool couple who wanted to also get their goth vibes on and drove down from I believe Everett. The bar, even though busy had a cool bartender who made good drinks, and the prices weren't bad. I bought rounds for my friends and myself through the night and paid less than $50 so I was really surprised. Chill vibes here. Would go to another event here.
