What a cool concept! This is a board game bar/restaurant where you can try out games with your friends and then if you like them you can buy them and take them home. They had a ton of games to choose from which were organized very well and the staff was super knowledgeable about all of them. They brought food and drinks right to our table which was big enough to also do gameplay on. We tried a new game which we ended up loving. This would be a super fun place for a birthday party for your gaming friends!

I'm so disappointed that the cheesecake they served came without the fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries that were advertised on the menu. The berries were the whole reason I ordered the cheesecake and I think it was messed up for Mox to serve it to me without telling me first that they didn't have the fresh fruit to go with it. If I had known they were out of the fruit, I wouldn't have ordered the cheesecake in the first place. To make matters worse the server wasn't even apologetic until I specifically asked about the missing fruit. The cheesecake cost more than everything else I ordered put together so it was frustrating to receive something that I didn't even want to eat. Thankfully the other people sitting at my table enjoyed the cheesecake because I didn't take more than one bite. I ordered the side Caesar salad and appreciated that there was a small portion offered on the menu. I loved my iced oat milk mocha. It was creamy and tasted deliciously flavourful. The staff at the front were really nice and my friends and I had a great time trying out new games and hanging out. I wish Mox served french fries, I was really craving them and wish they were on the menu.

This is genuinely one of my favorite spots in Seattle because there's a mix of board games, community and food! There is everything from a tournament room to a family/children's section so I feel like it's very versatile and the games are free to rent. The food is also worth checking out because you might end up spending way longer here than you expect. I tried the pretzels for $14 and overall it was worth it. They have some other things. I would like to try like mac & cheese and tater tots but it is a really nice ambience and the employees are genuinely so friendly and give great suggestions. Unfortunately, my only con is that parking is so hard to find, because the spots in front and access to the buildings all are always filled.

5 stars for the unique experience and 3 for food. My group of 5 came in on a Sunday afternoon and waited 10 minutes to be seated. The food menu is odd and all over the place with no theme. There's Vietnamese, Thai, and Mediterranean all in one menu. My group and I ordered soft pretzels & queso and vegetable & hummus plate to snack on as we played games. The shareables we ordered were alright and I wouldn't come back solely for the food. The vibes are fun with all the game options! We played 2 games over a ~75-90 minute period. Few places like these exist, and I will be back for the games and vibes. Food here is just a plus.

Whoever came up with the idea of a board game cafe/bar/hangout is a genius. Mox has leveled up the concept by creating an absolutely lovely environment to hang out, drink coffee, eat food, and try games. I've been to a few of these bars before, and I've got to hand it to Mox - they surpassed my previous experiences and expectations! If you love games, head to your nearest Mox and check it out! The food options all sounded good, though we just had tea while we played - a LOVELY Sunday afternoon! (Game recs: Wingspan Asia and Barenpark) Extra park - if you bought something at the restaurant and then stayed to play a game, they offer 15% off whatever game you played! Very cool bonus.

great place to burn a couple of hrs in seattle. we had so much fun playing board games on a rainy day. they have nearly everything this is THE place to get board games.

They have a great selection of board games and plenty of tables to play games. In comparison, Mox feels more competitive and less welcoming compared to Zulu's. I get a sense that most workers are just there to work and don't particularly enjoy small talk. There is food available, which we didn't get to try, and a sit-down area to enjoy it. The bathrooms are located on the right side of the restaurant portion. You may need a code depending on when you visit.

Great place to spend time with family. Lots of games to borrow while having dinner. We bought a couple games we liked to take home with us.

And I supported it wholeheartedly despite sometimes finding items slightly cheaper elsewhere. Additionally, as an art educator I always suggested it to my students for their value, as well as excellent and knowledgeable customer service. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed to say both superb customer service and cost value are gone. Firstly, I learned from my students that student discount was no longer available. Then after my last visit, I was stunned how much the prices have increased. Still, I remained a dedicated patron. After coming home I realized one of the expensive wooden panels had a substantial gouge in the corner - simply too noticeable to try fixing. I confidently returned to the store but was told they would not take back the damaged items - because they couldn't verify it was damaged before my purchase. The associate was unbearably rude and dismissive. One my way out I expressed my profound disappointment with the current direction of this trusted business with another associate, only to have the associate I originally spoke with catch up with us. Now they changed their song, saying they could accept the damage item but I was very lucky because it's not something they always do. What?! The associate appeared to be making up policies as they went along. In the end I kept the damaged wooden panel, as I will keeping my business away from this place.

I really wanted to love this location, but a lot of the aisles were 100% empty and a bunch of items I came for were out of stock. It's also (unfortunately) the most cluttered and chaotic Michaels I've ever been to haha. It wasn't a huuuge deal, but it did make the shopping trip feel a little less magical than usual. That said, the stuff they did have was amazing as always. I found this ridiculously cute tomato-shaped container that I decided to repurpose for my bathroom (because why not). The best part - it ended up being 50% off at checkout, and I didn't even know until I was checking out. Little surprises like that totally make my day. Also, the parking here was super easy! Plenty of open spots right by the entrance, which is always nice when you're hauling around big craft bags or canvases. All in all, good stuff - great value for my tomato jar (only 9.99) and I got to get out of the house.

We have disputed buying telescope systems over the years, as everyone knows there's this to buy and learn, then that to buy and learn, plug that into this; you get the idea. When we heard about the seeStar system, we thought it'd be perfect for our vision into the night sky. We aren't the only ones thinking that too, as we have read enough reviews and seen enough photos to crack any walnut's shell easily! BUT the reviews and pictures weren't enough to turn the tide till just days ago, when we saw by chance images captured with a seeStar BUT unlike any seeStar images we've already seen! Now we were sold on the concept with the only question where to buy it. To be honest we used amazon and found one quickly, purchased it, then watched as it sat and sat and sat for over many hours AFTER the shipping label was created. Sure a shipping label was made, but I didn't buy a shipping label; I purchased and wanted a seeStar! Though it finally did ship over 13hrs AFTER the shipping label was created, it was my waiting endlessly for the actual shipment to start that I decided to already get another one for the wife after all two minds and two sets of hands can't use a single seeStar at the same time! Aside from a slight billing problem that was quickly resolved, Cloud Break Optics created their shipping label and the transport service they use had the package to deliver, ALL within three hours! Compare that with the amazon vendor who took over a whole half DAY after the label was created, before the transport company actually HAD the package! Plus the pricing was LOWER than the amazon purchase by over $60, even considering that shipping through Cloud Break Optics was additional! I haven't even received the seeStar from Cloud Break Optics yet but I already looove how Cloud Break Optics functions quickly and treats its customers! I'll update this once I get my package[s], and both deliveries will be delivered by the same delivery truck and driver!! Really! UPDATE 19Feb2024: It arrived on time and via the same delivery van! Practiced with it indoors due to extreme freezing air temps the first day, then the second day and today, went out in less freezing temps (only 31°f with 21° windchill with wind) and got pixs of the Moon, and today used the solar filter for the first time and snapped the sun and the Moon again today! Thanks much for such a smart-than-me telescope that is compact, light,"easy" to use, and gets the job done!!
