We've dined at this restaurant a handful of times and have good experiences with every visit. The service ids always friendly and the place is just has welcoming vibe all over it. The appetizers have all been good with generous portions. Love the fried green beans with a wasabi dipping sauce. Most recently we enjoyed the artichoke dip with pita chips. Main course was chicken francaise which was good. We did have to send dish back due to under temp mashed potatoes but they resolved quickly with. Whole new dish.

We had a great meal tonight. Male: Linguini in Clam Sauce. Female: Bruschetta and Caesar Salad. Also a great Martini! Super satisfying and we will be back!

I visited The Town Tavern this year for Easter dinner with my family and loved it! Instead of our usual family dinner at someone's house, we decided to go out and enjoy our holiday meal. They were offering a special Easter menu with a variety of special dishes that were perfect for the occasion. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious with ample amounts of parking and the perfect area for our larger group. The service was also excellent and I was impressed how quickly our drinks and food arrived throughout the meal. We started off with some appetizers which included the deviled eggs and bacon wrapped scallops, both of which were delicious and the perfect portion sizes to share. I went with the salmon for my main meal and it was truly some of the best and most flavorful salmon I've ever had. My husband decided to try beef Wellington for the first time and he LOVED it and said it was unlike anything he had ever eaten before and it was perfect for a special holiday dinner. Full disclaimer: this was a special menu for the holiday so I'm unsure if they offer most of this regularly but I have no doubt that their regular menu is just as fantastic and I can't wait to return and sample more!

Great people great service great food. We had a large party celebrating a graduation. They were incredibly accommodating to all of us. We ordered garlic Parmesan wings, a Caesar salad, and calamari to start. All tasted great. They arrived hot and very seasoned. I ordered the ribeye steak with a baked potato. I also added some garlic butter on it and I am so glad I did because it made the steak taste amazing. The steak itself was cooked exactly how I wanted . The baked potato looked like it was overdone so I was a little skeptical at first but when I mashed it up it kind of melted all together. All in all a great visit .

We took a ride to the eastern section of CT. To leaf peep. On the way home we stopped at town tavern because the reviews on yelp were good. I think it is a very new establishment. In my opinion they need help in the atmosphere area. They have red shiny booths and gray floors. Everything is nice and clean. BUT!!! The lighting is so bright it's uncomfortable! I ordered a beer to try and get comfortable, but it wasn't happening! My beer was flat. It tasted like left over keg beer. We never bothered to stay for food. I think if they lower the lights, put some candles on the tables and played some me good music they'd be more successful! There was only about 6 other people in the restaurant. I hope they succeed. The area needs something.

So I hear this restaurant relocated to East Hampton & I'm here for it! From the outside, it look like a small establishment, but it's actually pretty spacious. A great venue for private parties. Also a nice place if they every want to bring in a DJ. The seating is plush, roomy & comfortable. No wobbly tables or chairs here. No tight booths or hard to stand up benches. I'm a sucker for nature & natural decor. So the sleek wood throughout with the brick made me feel at home. The food portions are enormous, whether it's appetizer, handelds, entrées or desserts, you're going to have leftovers. However, you're going to try & it eat all because every bite is a treat! I went with the Ahi Tuna app, Chicken Parm dinner & chocolate lava cake. The peppery crust on the tuna & then the sweetness of the mango salsa, complimented each other so well. I was afraid I'd have an onion after taste from the salsa, but nope, it was perfect! When the bread came out with oil & the salad, I was impressed that they prepared the oil! The chicken parm...I released a OMG, that had heads turning. The portion was for 2 people. When the menu said a side of pasta, I envisioned a small pasta bowl. But this was a wonderful surprise. The 2 crispy chicken cutlets, smothered in cheese & super saucy gave me heart palpitations! Needless to say, I have lunch & dinner for tomorrow. The chocolate lava cake topped off the whole meal for me. Breaking into it & seeing the chocolate spill out was so satisfying. It was warm so the coldness of the vanilla ice cream was divine. The service is exceptional as well. Being a party of 1, I never felt forgotten. Other interactions I noticed were all sincere & considerate. The Town Tavern is a great addition to the area & I already have a list of menu items I want to try next, but I'm going to keep an eye out for the expanded menu as well. I'm looking forward to the Taco Tuesday & lunch options.

This is a sample of a delicious eggplant sandwich with the most tasty onion rings.

If you haven't experienced East Hampton's Town Tavern yet, you're missing out. There are many Taverns in East Hampton, CT- but none compare to this quaint place on East High Street! You'll know you're in the right restaurant when you ask to see Chef Bridgett. She makes the most delicious meals and is very down to earth. You'll not only love her food but you'll love her. I'm up from Florida and I will be visiting and eating there more often! Don't miss this "hideaway- talk about "Mystic Pizza" - try theirs!!! Delicious! I give it 5++

I liked how the server first checked to see if we had any time restraints along with food allergies, etc. Speaking of the food. We started with the clam chowder and scallops. The chowder was the best I've ever had. Plenty of meat and seasoned perfectly. The scallops were amazing. The manager later told us that the scallops were the only thing that had been on the menu since day one. They tried to rotate them off once and the people went nuts. We moved on to the duck and salmon. Both were delicious. Sides were perfect as well. I'd love to write about dessert, but unfortunately, we were stuffed. They looked good, but that will have to wait until next time.

Don't let the outside of this place fool you because looks are definitely deceiving. We were cautious coming to this place due to the appearance of the outside, but once we were in it was so much fun. Agus, aka rawbartender, was Ah-mazing and truly made the night fun. He was truly such a vibe!! I ordered the SpongeBob, which was Goslings rum, pineapple spice, ginger, lime, angostura bitters. Especially with the show that was put on, my drink tasted even better. It was a Smokey, yet smooth and refreshing drink! We also got the Snow White, on the sweeter side made with Pear vodka, orgeat, pear juice, lemon juice, cinnamon. And of course, we can't forget our schooling in tequila and Mezcal from Agus. He was very informative of what he was serving and we tried a few different shots. He gave us the rundown of how you're actually supposed to taste tequila. And I have to say I've never had an experience like that before. I wish the party didn't stop and I will definitely be coming back specifically for Agus and of course the drinks!

Fortunately, we were seated quickly. Service was excellent, and the vibrant, modern atmosphere felt trendy yet comfortable. Noise levels were pretty manageable, even as the dining room filled up. I had the buttermilk fried chicken taco, which had great texture and crunch--just a touch more seasoning would've really made it shine. The pork belly taco was melt-in-your-mouth tender with rich flavor, though the celery and apple slaw on top didn't quite hold up--it looked great but lacked the apple part and was dry. Next time, I think I'd try one of the other interesting tacos instead. For my main dish, I had the cilantro pesto chicken burrito with rice and beans--delicious, generously filled, and perfectly seasoned. My girlfriend had the mushroom enchiladas, which were hearty and earthy, though a bit more seasoning could have brought out the full potential of the dish, as it seemed like it was just unseasoned mushrooms in a tortilla. Overall, Sayulita remains a solid choice with consistently good food, friendly service, and a lively vibe. A reservation option would make it even better--but until then, arriving early is the way to go!

Service is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is what earns this three stars. I tried a stuffie, German onion soup, a Farmhouse burger, and a key lime Mason jar. The stuffie was a little small, and most of the flavor was imparted by the ham and the squeeze of lemon. The German onion soup, I'm not sure why it was German except to not be French? Outside the name difference, the onions were way too large, and there was a total lack of flavor going on in the soup. The crock was very large too. The burger and fries looked pretty good, and I enjoyed the flavors here. The fries were rough hewn, so there was good crispness from all the edges. The toppings of the burger, and the bun, were also hearty. Unfortunately, my medium rare burger was more like raw meat with surface browning. I'm a big fan of rare steak, but ground beef needs a little more cooking. Also, the house made ketchup is really more of a marinara sauce. If I'd ended up eating more of my plate before they took it away to re-fire the burger, I would have asked to replace the ketchup. The key lime Mason jar was e everything you want to wrap up a meal. Great flavor, lightness, citrus. I did have to bring most of it home but, unlike the burger they brought back in a box, I'm excited to get back into the key lime. From an accessibility stand point, there is no ramp to get in nor handicap parking, so the evidently don't want your business. Once you're in, there are some seats you could get in, but if this place were full it would be difficult to navigate for anyone. The bathroom is a single room, but very spacious and nice. So, mixed bag for access. Your mileage may vary, but I'm not racing to return.

I have struggled with whether to write this review because this has become one of our favorite…read morelocal restaurants over the last year. In fact, one of the reasons we kept coming back was because this was one of the very few local restaurants that I believed truly understood celiac disease and took gluten-free dining seriously. However, as someone with celiac disease, I feel a responsibility to share my experience because what I have encountered goes far beyond a one-time mistake. Several months ago, we ordered takeout and I tested three separate items that were represented as gluten-free: tacos, a wedge salad, and a pop tart dessert. Most was already naturally gluten free. All three tested positive for gluten. These tests are not cheap, costing approximately $12 each, so this was not something I did lightly. I contacted the restaurant and spoke directly with the head chef. She was professional, understanding, and seemed genuinely concerned. She thanked me for bringing it to her attention and even mentioned that she planned to order a test herself because she could not understand how those items would contain gluten. Because of that conversation, I chose not to leave a review. I genuinely believed the issue would be investigated and corrected, and I wanted to give the restaurant the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, a later visit resulted in a positive gluten test on the smoked fish appetizer. Most recently, I returned again and tested several items. The calamari tested negative, but my gluten-free tacos once again tested positive for gluten. At this point, I have simply been glutened one too many times by a restaurant that I genuinely wanted to trust. What makes this especially difficult is that this restaurant presents itself as understanding celiac disease. I was told that members of the restaurant's family, including a daughter, have celiac disease. Hearing that gave me confidence that gluten-free orders would be taken seriously and that proper precautions would be in place. That is what makes these repeated positive gluten tests so confusing and disappointing. When a restaurant claims to understand celiac disease, I expect more than simply offering gluten-free menu items. I expect systems that actually prevent gluten contamination. After multiple positive gluten tests across multiple visits and after bringing my concerns directly to management months ago, it is difficult for me to reconcile those claims with my actual experiences. During my most recent visit, the waitress was kind and helpful, and I appreciate the way she handled the situation. However, I was told that a manager would come speak with me, and no manager ever did. My tacos were removed because they tested positive for gluten, yet I was still charged for them after deciding to take them home (for my non celiac hubby) rather than have them thrown away. In the end, I received a discount, but only after spending nearly $50 on gluten tests during that visit alone. As I write this, I am sitting here sad, frustrated, and in pain, knowing exactly what the next couple of weeks are likely going to look like for me. People often do not see what happens after someone with celiac disease is exposed to gluten. We do not go into anaphylaxis in the restaurant. We go home and suffer through the consequences alone. The symptoms may not be immediately visible to others, but the physical toll is very real. Every restaurant can make a mistake. My concern is not a single mistake. My concern is a repeated pattern over multiple visits, over several months, after the issue was brought directly to the restaurant's attention. I truly wanted to continue supporting this restaurant. I truly wanted to be able to recommend it to others in the celiac community. Unfortunately, after repeated positive gluten tests, repeated gluten exposures, and no evidence that the underlying problem has been corrected, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac disease or anyone who requires a truly gluten-free meal for medical reasons.
