The food was delicious! We started with the spinach and artichoke dip and it was the best we've ever had. It was homemade and fresh. What a gem!! Stopped for a quick bite while visiting the antelope valley. I had their gravy smothered fried chicken breakfast burrito on their brunch menu. It was huge and very delicious and i wanted to take shots of their smoked pepper salsa that came with it. My friends and I dined here after going to see the poppies in the Antelope Valley. I swear this place is in the middle of nowhere! I don't even know how we came upon it, nevertheless I'm glad we did. The service here was pretty good, and the establishment was clean and nice. The food was absolutely to die for and the portions were large. I personally had the Tombstone Burger. All I can say is it was one of the best burgers I've ever had! Brownie points for the fact that they serve steak fries! A friend of mine had the steak salad which was huge and definitely enough for two people! A couple of my friends ordered the sweet potato fries and while I didn't have them, I understand they were really good and were also a good-sized portion. Everyone loved their food. I've also had the artichoke dip, the pulled pork sandwich, the sweet potato fries, the carne asada fries and I highly recommend everything I've tried. The portions are huge!!! I came across their Instagram & decided to bookmark it in yelp as a "to try"; so glad I did. Once every three weeks we come out this way because our groomer relocated & they're the only ones we trust with our little guys. But that's a totally different review. The Texas toast was fresh, flavorful & soo good. The bacon was applewood smoked & cooked crisp, the tomato was ripe and thick and not at all that mushy kind that you sometimes get at other places. The fries were steak fries, so those are always awesome. Now for the salad.... I have a feeling I'll be craving this one now that I've had it. It's a spring mix salad and the chicken was the perfect kind of crispy. I think it was a homemade tempura kind of batter so it came out light but filling at the same time. It has red onions, mandarin orange slices & those yummy crispy wantons; so the salad had all the right textures. The dressing it comes with is hot honey & homemade jalapeño ranch... I'm not a spicy person; on the food Richter scale I'm like a -1 at some places. I was hoping it wasn't that spicy so I did the dip it on vs the pour over... well I dipped the first bite & the Irish in me came out. my cheeks turned red & I downed my water as fast as I could. It's not a bad thing at all & not meant as a negative so if you can handle a kick of spice I totally recommend not changing a thing, but if you're like me then ask for just regular ranch or the balsamic on the side. I'd totally get this again. Now to dessert... you should know, I don't like s'mores, even when I was a Girl Scout it wasn't my thing at campfires. So when I say this was delicious, as a non s'more, non marshmallow fan; this dessert will be the exception. We dined here on a Saturday evening. They had their monthly comedy show on the patio. It took over an hour just to get our food. When the food arrived, it was not impressive! My husband's steak sandwich had giant pieces of tri tip in it, too big to even chew through! The chicken on my salad was cold, dry and as hard as a rock. I don't understand why they would have a comedy show here, if they don't have proper staffing for the regular restaurant. Seems like they need to plan better, and hire more kitchen staff so the food comes at a decent time, and isn't subpar with a big price point. We will not be going here again! read more
