The calamari app was very "good" as was the tuna app. I had the panko crusted Drunken Chicken which comes over mashed potatoes and VERY fresh and delicious vegetables, Massive and VERY good! Wife had the Sea Bass which she liked, but the risotto it sat on was bland. The Burgers are massive and my son rated it "very good" but had better. See the slab of bacon on top in pic. Yes the Out of This World Mac and Cheese was delicious even if not my style... They still carry a fine wine and craft beer selection including many locals. The service was good yet they sent us away because no reservation, said over an hour wait. Left phone anyway and they called 10 min later. Water with hummus dip came quickly, yet waitress was slammed. She was very pleasant and delays were acceptable being they were packed at 7PM on weekend. Ambiance had not changed from the traditional pub style with a large happy bar. Very clean with good energy all around. Will add this back onto our regular list. Keep up the good work! read more

I went for a date night for the first time there and I was left truly impressed overall. The food was excellent, we ordered various wings for appetizers, I ordered a 12 oz steak entree and he ordered a cheeseburger. Everything was cooked to perfection, with the steak being cooked medium rare. I also ordered passion fruit martinis since it was a seasonal featured drink for summer and they didn't disappoint. It was delicious, refreshing and packed a punch and I had two since I wasn't driving lol. The service was exceptional as it was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Definitely worth every ounce and I plan on returning soon. read more

A step up. I 'think' this is farm-to-table, but even if not, bespoke distinctive dishes, boutique drinks (as I call them) and a very nice ambiance. Appetizers and or a salad with drinks and entrees will cost you, but as I said, this is a step up. Will return again. Wow ! Didn't expect Tuna to look this amazing from a bar but don't judge a book from its cover. Not only was the food tops so was the service. Andrew was our waiter and he was awesome ! Started off with the Tuna which came out perfectly black and blue the way I like it. Shared a NY strip steak with my better half it was cooked perfectly. We popped into the Iron Rail for a recent quick meal of burgers. We told the server we were trying to make a 7 pm movie at Bank Street. He was wonderful, prompt and very courteous. The food was delicious. I had a Sacramento turkey burger that was topped with Applewood smoked bacon that really enhanced the flavor. The noise level was quite low that made for easy conversation. I love the historical ambiance inside with all the train memorabilia. Overall it was a great meal that was made and served quickly. We were pleased and we made it to the movie in plenty of time! read more

My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch while in town. We had to wait to be seated, as the two servers were sitting together, one reading and they were not paying attention at all. We were seated finally and ordered-- drinks came quickly. My husband got the Mac and cheese, which he really enjoyed. I ordered the $15 clam chowder, which was not worth it. The puff pastry was a nice touch but the soup was thin with hardly any potato. I ordered the Apple Walnut salad with chicken-- the crispy chicken was burnt and didn't seem edible. I skipped the chicken and ate the salad. The most irritating part of the experience was the music-- excellent 90's music, that seemed to uncontrolled- the volume kept going up and down for the entire time we ate there. I was happy to leave when we did. I don't know that I'd return due to challenges with service, food and ambiance. read more

Two of us went for lunch on a saturday. Inside was large and open, plenty of seating. Our waiter was great, very friendly and quick. Food and drinks were both good. We got glasses of wine and a Martini special they had that day. All we had were salads, but they were both good, grilled shrimp on the caeasar was excellent. Will be back soon. read more

Loved the flavor and cook of the Thai chili wings. We did not choose a protein for our nachos as it was over $7 depending on the type of meat. While the nachos were definitely cheesy.... That's kinda all they were. Lacked the typical veggie toppings. About 5 large jalapeños, a few red onions, and a few tomatoes hidden. We were very impressed with our cranberry walnut salad! I could be wrong but I thought they were supposed to be candied walnuts but they tasted plain. We will definitely go back as we had kind and quick service! read more

What a nice place! We came here on a Saturday night with kids as party of 8 and luckily the restaurant was not busy so we were seated right away. I loved their fun drink menu and special cocktails. Got a yummy Pumpkin pie-tini and it was so pretty with gold laced whipped cream! It hit the spot and very strong. The food was really good too. The kiddos split a grilled cheese sandwich with fries (thick bread, not those cheapo kind), side of mashed potatoes (beware! $7 side which is a bit expensive but it was a large portion). The adults had fish & chips, drunken chicken, a chicken special, and trainwreck burger. Everything was very yummy, family friendly, will def come back again! read more

Great place for bar type food. The service was great, and the ambiance is pretty chilled out. When we initially arrived, there weren't many other customers, which for a Friday night at dinner time we thought it was strange, however maybe half hour later the place got mobbed- . It did get pretty loud, be ready to speak loudly over your table if it gets busy. But it is definitely a great place to hang out with friends/family, have some drinks and relax. The food & drinks were awesome. We had some wings which I thought were delicious: the sauce was nice sticky and goey just how I like them, my husband had the chili, we had some fries and a salad. The best choice of the night though was my GINGERBREAD Martini, OMYXmas DELISH. They have two menus with seasonal drinks. I want to return just to sample more of their seasonal drinks . So over--rated. The service was good even though the over-worked .waitress had many table to wait on on a Monday night. The hamburger, ordered medium, was dry and burned to a crisp. In town for a visit and stopped by for a quick bite. Pros: the waitress was nice and attentive The decor was nice ,place was clean Cons: ordered the special salad. Only thing that made it special was the beets . They don't have them so it's just a salad. Then I ordered the crispy chicken as added protein. Thinking it was chicken breast. Which is what you usually get on a salad. Nope chicken thigh. The cranberries in the salad were hard like a rock. I literally threw one on the plate and it bounced with a ping. Appetizer came out after 10 Minutes but lunch took 30 more minutes and we had to ask about it. There were only six tables with customers. Then had to track down a server to get the check. Had dinner with friends last night. Two other bank street restaurants couldn't even handle serving us due to little to no waitstaff. We were pleasantly surprised to have amazingly great meals! And great service, too! I had the salmon and the couscous side and beurre blanc sauce were perfection! I've been to the iron rail more times than I can count. The service is great. The food is great. They have lunch specials that change every month or so, the burgers are great and they have a salmon burger, which I love. It's a full fillet of salmon that's grilled with a lemon aïoli! For drinks, I would recommend the butterfly or the railed punch. This place is my definite go to. read more

Came here today for Father's Day with reservations for 4 for 11:30 (which is when they open for brunch). We were the second table seated. We got The Boss omelet, The Green Wave omelet, both $16 and two orders of chocolate chip pancakes $18 each with bacon. Our order was put into the kitchen at 11:37. We received our order at 12:25. The food tasted good, just took a long time to get. The omelets were advertised as 3 egg omelets. I would challenge that, they were relatively small. The pancakes were huge- a generous portion of 3. One of the pancakes on one of the orders didn't have chocolate chips but the other two made up for it. The applewood smoked bacon that was ordered with the pancakes tasted like regular bacon. They were dripping in grease and nothing special. The Bloody Mary was very spicy $14 with Absolute pepper vodka. All in all the meal was good, but there was room for improvement. The server was pleasant. We could not fault her for the slow service. read more
