My friend and I shared the Cape Cod Reuben (I wish more restaurants put that on the menu it's delicious!) the piece of fish was so delicious. PLENTY for 2 people and Kelly let us know that :-). (One change? is I would have served it on marble rye but next time will ask for a modification, no biggie, much enjoyed!) My experience with Irish pubs is long and diverse, so I had to try this new one. I gave it plenty of time to settle in. Still it's hard to say anything positive. Well, fparking and access are good. The name is cute. The tables and chairs were clean. It may be the loudest room I have ever tried to eat in. I usually don't like big tvs everywhere, but since conversations were impossible, I read the screen through dinner. The meat was okay. Although serving size was inconsistent. The mashed potatoes looked like they had been on the plate long enough to form a skin. They were very pasty. Vegetables were canned and not rinsed of the canning liquid. So they were slimy with a garbage like smell. We were given a bread plate but no bread or roll or butter. They stock a lot of beers which seem a little higher priced than other area places. The bath room was okay if you don't touch the rusty waste basket. It had more of the pub decor-wooden ad signs screwed to the wall. There was a toilet, sink and very thin toilet paper. As others have mentioned, service was slow. If we could have chatted,I might have noticed less. Our waitress was very pleasant. read more

Like others, we like the pub environment. The food however here is below average at best. If you order the steak tips for example, just disregard what ever else comes out on the plate. The tips will be okay to eat, the rest not so much. Who ever owns this place, needs to hire a food service manager. read more

I've only been once, but the service was easily the worst service I've ever experienced. They need to do some serious training. It wasn't crowded at all, but took a while for someone to greet and seat us and when they did, they weren't exactly friendly. Ordered an appetizer and drinks and we got them quickly enough. Mac & Cheese balls - Not bad. We put in an order for our meal, which actually just ended up being more appetizers and proceeded to sit for over an hour. Server came along and asked if we needed anything else and we were like, "our meals?" He said he "forgot to hit send", whatever that means. Ended up getting our meals to go. No apology or offer to comp anything. Our waiter seemed nice enough, but just clueless. The interior is very nice and clean and they do pour a good Guinness, so I'll give them credit for that. The beer selection looks impressive. I hate giving bad reviews and I'd love for this place to do well because it's close by, but my fear is that they just don't know what they're doing as far as offering even a decent dining experience. I'll probably give them another try and replace this review if the experience gets better. I'm pulling for them, but I doubt they'll survive for very long. read more

Although not regulars, we have been in quite a few times, and the service is getting worse each time around. Overall the food is very good. We did arrive late, about 30 minutes before closing, and were immediately told we had 5 minutes to order, seat yourself. Fine, we pretty much knew what we wanted, except nobody arrived to take our order despite our server literally standing 2 feet away from us watching us sit down. When she finally walked over to us, reiterated again kitchen was closing, and rudely asked if we were ready. We were. My husband ordered chowder for an appetizer, this arrived fairly quickly, was hot and very good. But he was half way through it when a server walked over and asked if he was done and started to pick up the bowl. Okay, we get it, you are tired and want to go home, but it wasn't even closing time yet. When the first entree item arrived (I had just ordered an appetizer), about 15 minutes later, she practically threw the plate at me, no words were spoken. A few minutes later my husband's entree arrived, she was slightly more pleasant placing the dish in front of him. Again, despite standing within feet of us for most of the time we were eating, never came over to check if we needed anything. If you want to close exactly at 9, then shut your kitchen off at 8 pm and put this clearly on your business hours. We were made to feel like we were an intrusion on your business, this isn't the first time either. And I've watched you do this to other patrons as well so it isn't just us. Here's a tip, you are pretty much a local, neighborhood business, you are mostly attracting the locals, that is who is supporting your business, I suggest you treat your clientele a little more politely, they will be your repeat solid business, not the people who may visit you once while on vacation. read more

Called restaurant Friday afternoon to confirm they had fish and chips on menu. Was told yes. So we went over for dinner looking for fish and chips and the advertised Baked Haddock. When ordering was told they had NO fish at all that evening. Seriously. Friday night ,on Cape Cod, with 3 major fish dealers within 10 miles, and they have NO fish. We went to a new Restaurant in North Falmouth with the Family called: The Irish Goodbye Pinthouse, brand new Restaurant to Falmouth, we started with the Onion Rings....they were so so, also some Teriyaki Wings, they were really good, should have done those for my Meal no Pictures of those....but instead I got the Cape Cod Reuben....it was ok, needed more Thousand Island Dressing and the Fish was very Deep Fried....also got Crinkle Cut Fries they came out cold....so I sent them back and got fresh Hot Ones and they were really good.... must better Cooked and Crispy, my Wife Elizabeth got the Half Cheese and Half Pepperoni and she liked it, I tried some and it was good very Cheesy.... but overall good, overall it was a interesting Irish/American Restaurant, next time I will go and get something different....from what I heard from my In-Laws they liked there Smash Burger.....next time I will get that instead....I give it a 7.3 to 7.5....I will give them a another try read more

This place cannot get their act together when it comes to service! We went twice last year. The first time the service was incredibly slow and food took forever. But we figured since it was newly opened, they would work out the kinks. Then we went a couple months later and sat at the bar and ordered a beer. They indicated that the kitchen was backed up and it would be 45 minutes to 1 hour for any food so we left. We went last week around 1:30, only three other tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Sat at the bar and didn't have anyone approached us for 10 minutes. Once he took our order, he disappeared for another 10 minutes and came back and told us that he forgot our drink order. After another 10mins with no drink we just got up and walked out. Won't be back. Too bad. It's a cute place in a great part of town but the service is not worth it. read more

It wasn't bad. But it wasn't good. Service was great! The food was mediocre. The drinks were subpar. Our party got two burgers, a pizza, wings, and tenders. The burgers were a little under seasoned but otherwise tasty. The fries were overcooked, and the onion rings were just a soggy mess. The wings and tenders lacked sauce/seasoning and tasted like they'd been in the freezer a while. The pizza was fine -- nothing special but not terrible. The soda was cloyingly sweet, and the alcoholic drink we got was so sweet and so weak we didn't even bother finishing it. We've had some great meals in the Upper Cape -- this was not one of them. read more

Food was terrible. I ordered 8 JUMBO shrimp with onion rings and rice. I got maybe 12 medium shrimp and would have been ok except that they were not hot and they were overcooked. The onion rings were very overcooked and dried out if that's possible with a deep fryer. My wife had the Baked cod with cracker crumbs, baked potato and broccoli. The fish was very thin and overcooked, the potato was grey when cut open, and the broccoli was dry as if it were reheated under a broiler. The place was very busy and the waitress said they were short staffed. On the positive side, I sent my meal back and ordered the Irish stew. It was good and it was hot. The waitress was excellent. She handled my complaint very well, and when I asked her if she forgot to charge me for the stew, she said no, it was on her. read more

We wanted to try the place out because it was in the neighborhood and want to support it. The atmosphere was very nice. The menu lacked irish entrees. Mostly american stuff. The night we went, they were out of a lot of stuff. The waitress was nice but overly friendly and loud. The prices were good but the food was just ok. Six women in our group and all were very happy with their meals. The Cape Cod Reuben was the choice of three. The fish was fresh, the piece was twice the size of the crispy on the outside and soft on the inside roll. It was delicious. The Irish Egg Rolls got rave reviews as did the the Smashburger. We liked it so much we are going back next month. Oh, service...a bit slow but we were chatting so it didn't matter. I would tell the wait staff if you are in a rush and I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue. read more

Reviewed for 2 separate visits a week apart: Nacho Mountain: with chicken, huge portion with appropriate amount of toppings. 4/5 good value and tasty. Steak and Cheese Egg Roll: 2 large egg rolls with beer cheese another spicy dipping sauce - 5/5 amazing. We were told these are made fresh daily and when they run out they are off the menu for the rest of the night. Pastrami Sandwich: choice of bread (rye). 5/5 generous helping of meat without over-filling. Fries: Crinkle cut - 1/4 the only disappointment, boring and dry. Seem like frozen product which is a surprise based on how fresh everything else was. Onion rings: 5/5 - light but crispy batter that will challenge Flying Bridge for the best rings in town...and cheaper. Beer from tap is very cold which is unfortunately not that common in Falmouth. We will definitely be back and would not be surprised if they upgrade their fries after more feedback. read more

Collectively, we ordered calamari, French onion soup, and a cheeseburger club. The calamari appeared to be refried and "tough." The calamari, fries, and burger patty were overly salty. I don't think this was the fault of the waiters, I just think they are under staffed. Waited 2 hours for our food, and it took a while to get the check. People behind us also shared that they were waiting for a while for drinks. Food was good, though, and the ambiance was great. read more

We had high hopes for this new Falmouth pub/restaurant and were excited to try their wares......Unfortunately our hopes were dashed as the food was a total letdown and the bar service the most abysmal ever encountered! The ambiance is a typical bar atmosphere with nice booths and bar seating but, nothing special. We sat at the bar where drinks were no problem as beer on tap and otherwise was readily available. Food wise we both ordered Entrees of fish and chips (all entrees come with two sides according to the menu) for sides one of us ordered just onion rings and the other onion rings and coleslaw. The bartender had absolutely NO clue about how to put in the order and 20 minutes later when the food arrived one order was onion rings and no chips with a small strip of fish and the other was all chips and a strip of fish, both with-no sides. The consistency of the food, (onion rings over fried on one plate and not enough on another, chips hot on one plate....) portions, temperature, order and the service was completely off!! The bill came and one person was charged for the side of onion rings and the other was charged correctly. The manager was called and fixed the problem but, being heckled at the bar by a begruntled ex-employee/patron was not a pleasant experience and we will not return or recommend this venue to others for a fun place to hang out and enjoy!!
