I got my septum re-pierced, my second nostril pierced, and snake bites done all in one sitting. I found out about this tattoo parlor from a friend of a friend, and that's how I met Brooke. She created a stunning floral design for me with peonies, poppies, and springs of lavender. I fell in love with the concept art immediately! She's super talented and an underrated artist. I recommend all of my friends to her. The tattoo shop itself is really chill. They make you feel really comfortable and like you're among friends. When you first arrive, there's a long corridor with an adorable pet snake. Then, they have a piercing area, which reminds me of an old school hospital room. There's an open space for tattooing with a huge tv for Netflix, bathroom, and couch for your friends to relax in. Overall 5 stars for my end result tattoo (with my sister) & the experience being there. My sister & I were in search of getting a simple tattoo and we're calling different places. When we called Jade Buddha, Mia answered our questions over the phone and we were able to communicate through email ASAP to show her the design we had in mind. We met up about 45 minutes after the phone call. My sister had been to the location before so we found it quite easily, but it's for sure a hidden area in an Asian plaza. Besides Mia, we also had Brooke with her. They make such a great team, they helped each other set up (which they did such a great job before and after tattooing to ensure a clean area and equipments) they also made us feel welcomed and asked if we had any preference in music to listen to while we were there. LOVE my tattoo. This shop is super chill with extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and talented artists. I knew what I wanted but wasn't sure if it would work out or where to place it . Came in for a double helix cartilage piercing on my ear on a Monday randomly. I had been wanting it for a while so I stopped by jade Buddha on my day off. Walked in and Maddy saw me right away. She was very professional and knowledgable. She also has a sunny disposition and makes you laugh. She did the piercings in no time with little pain. She made sure it was exactly how I wanted it before piercing. This was one of the only places I've been pierced where they gave me a print out of after care facts and made sure all my questions were answered. She's awesome, highly recommend her for your piercing needs. The shop is under a little construction so don't be alarmed If parts of it seem in a bit of disarray. Price was $60 for a double helix. Only thing that I found a little odd was the front desk staff were about to let me walk about without paying, which I of course didn't do. I should have known better than to get pierced in City Heights. The gravity of that one statement should be enough of a warning, but if you want to hear a colorful story, read on I found this place on Yelp, but the reviews are old. There is no Maddie, Christine, or other names with positive experiences regarding piercings here. Just the owner, Allan, and Mia and some other dude So judging by the reviews this place has been around for a few years. Yet you walk in and there's just the one futon and the inside looks like a messy Asian person's office because of the Buddha theme. No portfolios of their work, I was referred to the artists' respective IG pages. Literally papers everywhere. It didn't look like a tattoo shop, nor did it feel clean ~*~ My experience ~*~ Ignored all the red flags (low price, huge turnover in staff, messy space, etc.) and got my forward helix and a second lobe done. Cost me $35 altogether including jewelry (before tip) because it was an apprentice piercing me. Lobe was set with a traditional 2-piece stud with a backing, similar to the kind you get at Claire's. I was told beforehand they didn't carry any proper jewelry for the forward helix, so we settled for a horseshoe, or curved barbell I felt confident I wasn't going to end up like one of those google image searches of botched piercings. I have two facial piercings and have had my cartilage/lobes pierced mostly at places like Claire's with no problem. We go in for the forward helix and it hurts like a poop coming out sideways. The horseshoe is in, but not quite and slips out. At this point my body is panicked and my ear is inflamed and bloody and I'm hesitant to to be lanced in the same spot, especially cartilage, but she reassured me it'd be fine So I'm still lying there and she pierces it again. Hurts like any other wound getting stabbed at (I.e. A lot) and I'm just waiting for my ear to fall off while I'm cursing the piercing gods for allowing this to happen It's about two weeks in and a bump formed near my forward helix and my lobe is still bleeding when I clean it (surprise. Not really). I came in today to have it checked out after being told my piercer was going to available, and so was the owner at the time I arrived. But that wasn't true. So I call the owner Allan directly after waiting almost two hours for him to show up or for my piercer to be done tattooing someone. I ask for advice and he assumes all the blame on me for: -not cleaning it properly (but I do) -assuming I'm diabetic (I'm not) -my medication (which was not included in the waiver I signed) -just having an experience that is unheard of (cuz it's never happened to him personally so its never happened EVER) In conclusion, I left without much help except to slap tea tree oil on it, and that no one would be free to really take a look at the botched job they performed for at least another hour If you care about someone don't let them get work done here. But if you fricken hate your worst enemy, please refer them here for all their body mods read more

Brooke was very polite and professional and walked me through everything before, during, and after. The piercing was $60 including jewelry and I had the choice of standard silver ball jewelry or one with a blue jewel. The place was very clean and well-lit and nicely decorated. I got my belly button re-pierced because my piercing fell out at a rave (lol) 3 weeks later I finally went to get it re-pierced & I'm so happy I went here! Omg! I had the pleasure of having Brooke do my tattoo. First, I called on Friday the 13th but due to COVID-19 problems they moved to appointment only and would only have 2 ppl in the shop at a time. They were nice, out my name on the list and I got called 2 days later. They honored the Friday the 13th prices and I got a beautiful lil flower done by Brooke! She was sweet, explained everything carefully, and it only took maybe 15 minutes to get the ink done. She even looked at my piercings I was concerned about and gave good advice on those too. Okay so this took me a while to finally write my review. I wanted to make sure that my experience with the piercings i got were adequate and to see if any problems occurred during the healing process. First of all i'd like to say Maddy (the piercer) did an incredible job from beginning to end. When i walked in the shop i was super nervous because it would of been the first piercing experience i encountered where i actually would feel everything (i had lobes done as a baby so i don't remember anything from it). When i sat down my legs were shaky, my hands and feet were cold and building up a sweat. Maddy knew how nervous i was so she came up with great convos to talk about and it really eased my mind. My muscles started to loosen up, my hands started to cool down and my heartbeat slowed down; Although i was still nervous maddy made sure i kept talking to keep my mind off the pain. I got a triple forward as well as a double cartilage piercing all in one go just so i can start the healing process on one ear right away. She did a beautiful job, The piercings were aligned nicely and she had a light hand. I noticed she was also very sterile because every time she touched anything else besides my piercing, she'd change her gloves, the tools were opened in front of me and that was that. On my way home, as expected my ears would be sore but surprisingly the pain went away for two days and the soreness, would come back every now and then. So far my piercings are recovering just fine, no infection, no reactions to the jewelry, and most importantly my ears look FABULOOOUS. 5 stars for a wonderful first experience! read more

Went in to get double forward helix piercings done. Christine did my piercings, very sweet and informative. She had a client right before me but the wait wasn't long at all, she was quick. I was expecting the piercings to be a bit more painful just from reading up and watching online videos of experiences people had when they got the same piercings done. Majority of them stated it was quite painful. But surprisingly it felt like a regular ear lobe piercing to me. No bleeding, no swelling, no pain!
