A great brunch spot if you are looking for sweet or savory options. There is off street parking. Upon arrival you have to wait for a host/team member to arrive and seat you. They have booth and table seating. I like that the menu is clear and concise and has a lot of great options. We were seated and immediately greeted with water by our server. The restaurant was busy so the wait was a little lengthy after ordering. It is a quite fun spot to grab brunch with friends or smaller groups. We ordered the farmers omelette ($15) with jalapenos (+$1.50), side of fruit and added pancakes with strawberries and whip cream (+$2) We also ordered the berry french toast ($14) and a kids Mickey Mouse chocolate chip pancake with bacon from the kids menu ($9.00 plus chocolate chips $1.75) Although the food was excellent we encountered a few issues that were later resolved. The farmers omlette stated it would be "stuffed" with hashbrowns which were missing. They also offer you your choice of cheese. I asked for American cheese and their American cheese was similar to Velveeta flavor and texture. There was an overwhelming amount of it! The pancakes were missing the whip cream topping too and the fruit bowl is only three pieces of very thin cut fruit (as pictured). However, the server did offer to remake the omlette given that they forgot some main ingredients and apologized about it. The berry french toast comes with a heaping amount of fruit and a flavored custard. The kids' meal was the Mickey Mouse pancake which is very large. The bacon with that meal was cooked to perfection! Also, if you order a kids drink it is the same price as the adult drinks ($4 and they bring a much smaller glass for all their juices) I noticed they really didn't offer to refill anyones water or coffee! This may just be something you need to ask for if you want it. Gratuity: Overall the food tasted amazing but note they automatically charge a dine in 18% gratuity on your bill (we were a party of 3) and then ask you to add to the tip if you want to increase the amount. We came to Jagged Fork again for a game day breakfast, arriving around 9:00. Just in time to get seated without a wait. They've recently changed up the menu. I really missed the PB & J oatmeal - bring it back! It was one of the best restaurant-oatmeal's I've had. Sadly no longer an option. Instead I ordered the guacamole toast, topped with scrambled egg rather than poached. It was good, just not quite what I'd wanted. The other change: you used to be able to order a mix of large pancakes. Now you can order "mini stacks" - much smaller, but they do cost less. My husband ordered a blueberry lemon pancake with his veggie omelette. A+ on presentation. I had a couple bites and it tasted yummy, too. We were offered immediate seating at Jolly Pumpkin 20 minutes after leaving Jagged Fork. We went back to bail on Jagged Fork. They told us they were ready to seat us, but it took another 20 minutes. My wife ordered Shrimp & Grits. It was basic grits, shrimp sprinkled with Cajun spice and topped with diced green peppers. It was spicy instead of flavorful and seemed like they just wanted to get in on the popularity of Shrimp & Grits. My daughter got the Challah French Toast. It did not come with enough cream cheese. It was topped with sliced strawberries. We would have preferred a strawberry sauce. The bread was quite dry. My dad and I got the Dad Burger. They charge one dollar and fifty cents for diced onions. The only reason to get a burger there is if you accompany people who want pancakes, but you want a burger. Blimpy, Brown Jug, Fleetwood, BWW, and Pretzel Bell all have a better burger. My mom got the pancake breakfast. It was the only meal that was delicious. The coffee from the carafe behind the register was cold. Not hot. Not warm. Cold. The waitress, hostess and manager were all pleasant. They replaced the coffee with fresh coffee and the Shrimp & Grits with a pancake breakfast. We declined the offer to replace the French Toast. The service! The food! The portions!! Everything was amazing. We came as a group of roughly ten on a Sunday. When you arrive, you can put your name down on a waitlist. We were quoted roughly 30 min (Sunday is their busiest day of the week). There's a nice seating area to keep warm while you wait. We got called on time and the servers were amazing and were able to move three tables together so that our whole group could sit down together!!! The food was delicious, portions were huge. I recommend getting a skillet with a side of specialty pancakes to satisfy both the sweet and the savory cravings. Honestly, one skillet could feed two people. Came a little before 11 to beat the crowd and got a spot on the patio (just the sidewalk out front) ordered the Baja Cali omelet with cheese hash browns. Went to the Jagged Fork again, and I swear it gets better every time we go! Food is always picture perfect, and tastes just as good as it looks. This time I couldn't decide between sweet or savory- I ended up getting an omelet that comes with a side of pancakes or toast, so I got pancakes and was able to get both sweet and savory! They also had holiday drinks this time, I got the spiked hot chocolate. There was a large group of us, and staff was able to push together tables to accommodate us. The restaurant isn't very big, so on a busy day I could see it being difficult for larger groups. They check you out at the table. Total disappointment. Went for hueaveros rancheros but no beans no rice just cold fried potatoes with like warm pork chorizo cooked eggs and salsa. The main reason for this mid score is that we experienced a deceptive tip practice, where they don't tell you that tip is included at 18% and then present you with a credit card machine that has presets encouraging you to add tips at 7% and other unusual numbers. I had been wanting to try The Jagged Fork for a while, and one of my friends eats gluten-free (and they have a lot of GF options), so three of us stopped by here today. They don't take reservations ... I tried messaging them on both IG and Facebook to ask that but no response. One friend arrived at 12pm to put our name in and it was about a 30-40 minute wait, which for Saturday brunch makes sense. My friends got the GF Chunky Monkey with a side of fruit and the regular Chunky Monkey. I tried the sampler plate, which sounded pretty intriguing - it had Red Velvet, OREO, and Chunky Monkey pancakes. Both the Red Velvet and OREO pancakes came with a dollop of cream cheese frosting, which was okay but a little too sweet. I got my Chunky Monkey pancakes without the banana, as well. The portions here are gigantic and thus the prices are fair - about $12+ for the specialty pancakes, and my sampler was $15. My friends also ordered coffees and I had a pineapple juice for $4. Be aware that they automatically add an 18% gratuity to your bill - you're allowed to tip extra, but one of my friends tipped another 20% because she wasn't aware a tip had already been added. Overall waitservice and service overall was very good here but I do feel like they rushed us to get out - an employee came over to clear our table, then asked if we needed bags, then asked if we had already paid. Kind of awkward although I did appreciate the bag. I'd like to come back at some point and try some of their more savory options vs sweet. I ordered Banana & Nutella crepe with extra strawberry but somehow I got strawberry more than banana. It was okay and it will be better if it's fresh cut. I've had good experiences at Jagged Fork before, but my experience today really put a damper on the place. waited 1.5 hours for a table, which wasn't the problem, but to have a disappointing meal after such a long wait kinda kills your day. we got to the restaurant when they texted us and the host stand was just a mess - hostess was not friendly nor attentive and there were 3 different people trying to seat us that were clearly not on the same page. when we got to our table, it was dirty and not set. there were egg bits and coffee rings on the table and it was pretty gross, even though the hostess just cleaned it? idk we ordered breakfast tamales, huevos rancheros, banana chocolate chip pancakes, and coffee. coffee was fine but food was another story. my huevos rancheros came cold, the cheese on top was unmelted, and there was barely any cheese in the tortillas. the breakfast tamales came half cold half warm (not even sure how that happens) with an avocado seed that my bf bit into our pancakes came with strawberries instead of bananas, and when we told the server about it, she was just confusing about the whole thing. she asked if we really wanted to throw away/waste the pancakes, if the strawberries really "make or break the dish", or if we want the bananas off the check, and none of her solutions really made sense lol. we just wanted what we ordered and didn't appreciate the food waste guilt trip. when we finished our meal, she told us our total (why was that an announcement ?) and had us pay/tip on the handheld tablet that doesn't show the price breakdown - it just asks for tip. we asked for the itemized receipt just to find that they already included an 18% service charge without informing us. good to know that's happened every time we've come in without us knowing. pretty unethical and illegal if i'm not mistaken used to like this place a lot but most likely won't be returning because it's inconsistent and don't want another experience like this. read more
