Half a dozen plus one donuts

My friends and I came from out of town and they never had Winchell's before. I love their donuts. Their dozen was 12 donuts plus 2. The lady was kind enough to half the boxes as they were going 2 different locations. Donut shop ambiance. I'm a plain Jane and like the regular glaze donuts or the Boston crème ones. Can you tell which box was mine ?

    Half a dozen donuts

Was a little doubtful in coming here due to some of the reviews but was craving donuts and wanted to try it out for myself. Didn't know this place was 24 hours (apparently only I didn't know this info) had called to make sure and worker answered and was very polite. Was attended right away when I got to the place. Ordered half a dozen donuts and worker was very nice even gave me an extra one for free. Should give this place a try. Super clean and outstanding customer service!

For being open 24 hours we expected stale or a poor selection of donuts. We were stoked at how fresh everything was. Great donuts :)

If you pay by credit card/debt ask for a printout of the credit card transaction along with the register receipt to make sure they match.

Doughnuts used to be good and fresh but sadly now they taste stale as if they're left out for days until they're all sold.

I enjoyed their bagel so much I made sure to come by again before we left to have one on the road. The service is quick and the employees are kind and diligent. The size is perfect and the bagel itself is so crunchy yet super soft. We ordered The Beckie on apple cranberry (left) and The Sunny Dunes on jalapeño cheddar (right). I was stoked to find they offer sourdough bagels, something I haven't really seen elsewhere. Granted I don't search for bagels often, so maybe it's more common lately, but still novel to me. Got the sausage egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough bagel, and it hit the spot. I'm absolutely fine with the portion size; not one for big sloppy sandwiches, anyway. Grabbed a small container of the lemon rainbow shortbread cookies as well, great little sweet treats. Seems to get busy as there was a line, but it moved fairly quickly and efficiently. Grab a menu at the door and study it while waiting, so you know what you want and can promptly order once it's your turn and keep it moving along. Cue George Costanza: "You know, we're living in a society! We're supposed to act in a civilized way!"

Have you ever LITERALLY just ate lunch and then said "I am sooooo stuffed"…read more... And then moments later (approx. 30 min in our case) casually walked by a pastry shop and thought to yourself, "I think I need a pastry". Well this.... Is the story of my life!!! Well, at least the story of my wife's ;) Yeah, we were in Palm Springs and had literally just ate at Santorini Gyro Greek Restaurant (check out my review) that is located on N. Palm Canyon Blvd. After leaving the restaurant, we were content, our bellies were full and I personally was set until dinner time. But after walking in and out of the various shops and doing a little light shopping, my beautiful wife suddenly.... Had a Craving!!! Cravings Coffee & Pastries enters the chat.... So there we were, minding our own business, doing some light shopping and even a touch of window shopping when we saw a glass case through the window filled with yummy looking treats. My wife said, "can we go in?" Me: Pfff, (in my head) "like I'm gonna tell you no" lol Hey... I remember our wedding when someone in one of the wedding toasts said, "Happy Wife, Happy Life" I'm not about to mess that up over a cheese danish, haha. So we went in, checked out the goods and within seconds, we were the proud owners of a "Cruffin" My guess... half muffin, half croissant?? Which of course was filled with some kind of custard and topped with a fig. What ever it was, it was delicious. And since it wasn't just a pastry shop, but a coffee shop too, you know we had to get a little drink to compliment our treat. And what pairs better with a custard filled Cruffin than a Lavender Latte! In addition to the goodies we had, they also serve up your traditional brewed coffee & teas, specialty coffee drinks and an array of sweet & savory pastries. So if you find yourself in Palm Springs and you just so happen to stumble across Cravings Coffee & Pastries, don't just window shop and keep walking. Go in, grab a treat, get a drink & live your best life. #Feedthatcraving
