Not so much for those coppertone tans I once yearned for every time I see the beach. But I do like the sun for some vitamin D. It is a good walk on the sands if you park here and take a round-trip walk to the opposite end of seal beach then back, which easily adds to those 10,000-step goal. I like just walking along the jetty and spotting those cute little squirrels. They like posing for my photos lol. Super therapeutic just hearing the sounds of the waves hit the shore. Look for beach closures though. Today there is a tsunami warning for west coast and is closed. And beaches are closed for swimming due to sewage spills a couple weeks ago. Oh and when husband and I go for walks, we always find plastic debris on the beaches and feel obligated to do our part to clean up. So always bring along a bag for beach clean up. Let is do our part to keep our beaches pristine. Parking is paid though and Passport app or parking kiosk.

Come to downtown through Main Street off PCH. Park and walk towards the pier. I guarantee you will stop before you get to the pier to look at the shops, retailers, or businesses. Knick-Knack galore indigenous to Seal Beach. You will spend no less than 3 hours, maybe 2.5, should you decide to really "see" Seal Beach. Regulars love to come her for the food, drinks, atmosphere, ambiance, beach front, and it's quaintness (taking you back to the 1960s). HIGHLY recommend visiting if you have not. That matters when it's your first open water dives. After dive two, they had HOT chicken soup waiting for us and it was actually good. Not just "boat food" good -- legit comforting after being in the water. There were also plenty of snacks between all three dives, which we definitely appreciated. I came up with the gondola ride since I had gone on it many years ago & was so happy that they were still around. We booked it at sunset & I actually surprised my husband with a custom-made song of our 20 years together. I wanted it to be a surprise, so I called the company to let them know of my plan and Julia made sure to send the link of the song to my gondolier. We got Jack for our gondolier and let me tell you, he was perfect. He made our night very special and was very informative of the houses and history of the canal. He picked the perfect time to play the song and made the entire experience perfect. I highly recommend this for any special occasion. I definitely want to go back for the holidays to see the lights.

Getting a refund has been difficult. I've made many attempts to get a hold of someone at the business and via email. No one picks up the phone and I've not received a reply to my email. When a company cancels a service, issuing a prompt refund should be straightforward. Unfortunately, that isn't the case here, and it's created unnecessary stress. I would recommend being cautious when booking and confirming their refund policy ahead of time. Hopefully they improve their customer service and how they handle cancellations in the future.

We booked the sunset ride for Sunday at 7:00 p.m. We checked in around 6:40. It only took about 5…read moreminutes to fill out the waiver and get a wristband and walk towards the water. They also have a key to the bathroom, which is around the corner. Even though we were 20 minutes early, they let us get on the water bike after a quick instruction. Riding on the water bikes was really fun! We rode around the bay and the water was choppy sometimes but as you get inside the bay, the water is calmer. A trick is that if you feel the water is too choppy, start paddling - the water will calm down with the pedaling. There are several boats around which provided live music for us. The bike has two cup holders and a front container to put your phones and small stuff in. We had a great time. They share a parking lot with nearby restaurants which offer 3 hours of free parking. That is a huge plus for something near the beach! We will be back next time to try a glow ride.
